The devicetree updates are fairly well spread out across platforms,
with Qualcomm making up about a third of the total.
There are three new SoCs in existing product families this:
- NXP i.MX95 is a variant of i.MX93, now with six Cortex-A55 cores
instead of just two as well as a GPU and more high-speed I/O
devices.
- Qualcomm QCS8550 is a variant of SM8550 for IOT devices
- Airoha EN7581 is a 10G-PON network chip and related to
the MT7981 Wireless router chip from its parent Mediatek.
In total there are 58 new machines, including four riscv
boards and eight for 32-bit arm.
The most exciting new addition is probably a pair of laptops
based on the Qualcomm x1e80100 (Snapdragon X1 Elite) chip,
the Asus Vivobook S15 and the Lenovo Yoga Slim7x.
Other noteworthy new additions are:
- A total of 20 Qualcomm based machines, mostly Android devices
from Samsung, Motorola and LG, as well as a wireless router
and some reference designs
- Six NXP i.MX based machines, mostly industrial boards along
with some reference designs
- Mediatek sees some interesting Filogic based routers
including the "OpenWRT One", a few new Chromebooks as
well as single-board computers.
- Four machines from Solidrun based on Marvell cn913x,
replacing the older Armada 8000 based counterparts
- The four Amlogic machines are all set top boxes or reference
designs for them
- The nine new Rockchips machines are mostly single-board
computers including some interesting ones based on the
rk3588 chip like the ROCK 5 ITX board and the CM3588
with its four NVMe slots
- The RISC-V boards are all single-board computers based on
Starfive JH7110, Microchip MPFS and Allwinner D1, which all
had similar boards already
There are also a lot of updates to already supported machines,
notably for the TI K3, Rockchips, Freescale and of course
Qualcomm platforms.

One thing to note is that both CSISP0 and CSISP1 are in the same power

for this is that R-Car V4M only has one ISP core which is connected to
CSISP0 while R-Car V4H has two ISP cores, one connected to each CSISP.

Describe the two Marvell 88Q2110/QFN40 PHYs available on the R-Car V4H

Switch from defining the PHY inside the AVB node itself and create a
dedicated MDIO node for AVB0, the only AVB describing a PHY. This is
needed as adding PHYs to AVB1 and AVB2 will require setting MDIO bus
parameters and thus requires a dedicated node.

Ethernet IRQ GPIOs are marked as GPIO hogs. Thus, these GPIOs are
requested at probe time without considering if there are other
peripherals that need them. The Ethernet IRQ GPIOs are shared with
SDHI2. Selection between Ethernet and SDHI2 is done through a hardware
switch. To avoid scenarios where one wants to boot with SDHI2 support
and some SDHI pins are not propertly configured because of the GPIO
hogs, guard the Ethernet IRQ GPIO hogs with the proper build flag.

For now, the only visible differences compared to the board stack are:

The RZ/G3S Smarc Module has Ethernet PHYs (KSZ9131) connected to each
Ethernet IP. For this, add proper DT descriptions to enable Ethernet
communication through these PHYs.
The interface b/w PHYs and MACs is RGMII. The skew settings were set to
zero as based on phy-mode (rgmii-id) the KSZ9131 driver enables internal
DLL, which adds a 2ns delay b/w clocks (TX/RX) and data signals.
Different pin settings were applied to TXC and TX_CTL compared with the
rest of the RGMII pins to comply with requirements for these pins
imposed by HW manual of RZ/G3S (see chapters "Ether Ch0 Voltage Mode
Control Register (ETH0_POC)", "Ether Ch1 Voltage Mode Control Register

The intention of the SW_SD0_DEV_SEL and SW_SD2_EN macros was to reflect the
state of the SW_CONFIG individual switches available on the RZ/G3S Smarc
Module, and at the same time to have a descriptive name for the switches
themselves. Each individual switch is associated with a signal name,
which might be active-low or not on the board. Using signal names
instead of SW_CONFIG switch names may be confusing for a user who just
playes with switches to select individual functionalities, but also for
an advanced user who looks at the schematics. To avoid even further
confusion, use the switches' names here and instantiate them with an
ON/OFF state. This should be simpler, even though the name of the
switches is not that intuitive. The switches' names documentation
reflects the switches' purposes.

Given that the default for txen-skew-psec is 0, and the device tree is

ALSA SoC has many types of Generic Audio Card drivers (Simple Audio
Card, Audio Graph Card, Audio Graph Card2), and Renesas/Kuninori
Morimoto wants to test these.
The Generic Audio Card driver had been requested on ALSA SoC.
It supports many types of device connection methods, and historically,
the requested connection support range of the generic driver has been
upgraded.
Upgrading the connection support range itself could not be implemented
in the generic driver, because we need to keep compatibility with old
DTBs. This is one of the reasons why we have many types of Generic Audio
Card driver.
The ULCB/KF combo is a good board stack to test these.
Kuninori has been testing these Generic Audio Card drivers by using his
local patches to switching drivers. But from an information sharing
point of view, it is a good idea to upstream these, because the DT
configuration is complex. Hence this can be a good sample for the user.
Hence add a "Simple Audio Card + MIXer + TDM Split" DT setting file for
ULCB/KF. Because of the limited number of subdevices, the HDMI output
is ignored.
This setting can be enabled by updating ulcb.dtsi / ulcb-kf.dtsi.
From a normal user point of view who doesn't need to test the driver,
everything should stay as-is, and nothing changes.
Note that because this needs "switching driver", and not "adding extra
feature", this does not use a Device Tree overlay.

Hence add an "Audio Graph Card + MIXer + TDM Split" DT setting file for

Current sound comment is indicating that #sound-dai-cells is required,
but it is needed only if board is using "simple-card".
Hence tidy up the comments.
As ulcb.dtsi and salvator-common.dtsi are already using "audio-graph",
the unneeded #sound-dai-cells are removed.
