e538d4b85b dt-bindings: HID: i2c-hid: elan: add 'no-reset-on-power-off' property
When the power supply is shared with other peripherals the reset line
can be wired in such a way that it can remain deasserted regardless of
whether the supply is on or not.

This is important as it can be used to avoid holding the controller in
reset for extended periods of time when it remains powered, something
which can lead to increased power consumption. Leaving reset deasserted
also avoids leaking current through the reset circuitry pull-up
resistors.

Add a new 'no-reset-on-power-off' devicetree property which can be used
by the OS to determine when reset needs to be asserted on power down.

Note that this property can also be used when the supply cannot be
turned off by the OS at all.

8d3ae46c64 dt-bindings: HID: i2c-hid: add dedicated Ilitek ILI2901 schema
The Ilitek ILI2901 touch screen controller was apparently incorrectly
added to the Elan eKTH6915 schema simply because it also has a reset
gpio and is currently managed by the Elan driver in Linux.

The two controllers are not related even if an unfortunate wording in
the commit message adding the Ilitek compatible made it sound like they
were.

Add a dedicated schema for the ILI2901 which does not specify the I2C
address (which is likely 0x41 rather than 0x10 as for other Ilitek touch
controllers) to avoid cluttering the Elan schema with unrelated devices
and to make it easier to find the correct schema when adding further
Ilitek controllers.

So, make all child nodes with of_compatible defined in struct mfd_cell

The irq-gpios description misleading, apparently saying that driving the

Allow configuring an optional dedicated wakeirq for gpio-keys that
some SoCs have.

Let's use the common interrupt naming "irq" and "wakeup" that we already

Note that the gpio-keys interrupt property is optional. If only a gpio
property is specified, the driver tries to translate the gpio into an
interrupt.

e10038ce1b dt-bindings: mfd: Convert STMPE to YAML schema
This converts the STMPE MFD device tree bindings to the YAML
schema.

Reference the existing schema for the ADC, just define the
other subnode schemas directly in the MFD schema.

Add two examples so we have examples covering both the simple
GPIO expander and the more complex with ADC and touchscreen.

Some in-tree users do not follow the naming conventions for nodes
so these DTS files need to be augmented to use proper node names
like "adc", "pwm", "gpio", "keyboard-controller" etc before the
bindings take effect on them.

As talked about in the patch ("drm/panel: Add a way for other devices

generally expected to be power sequenced together with the panel
they're attached to. Today, nothing provides information allowing you
to find out that a touchscreen is connected to a panel. Let's add a
phandle for this.

The proerty is added to the generic touchscreen bindings and then
enabled in the bindings for the i2c-hid backed devices. This can and

We observed that on Chromebook device Steelix, if Goodix GT7375P
touchscreen is powered in suspend (because, for example, it connects to
an always-on regulator) and with the reset GPIO asserted, it will
introduce about 14mW power leakage.

To address that, we add this property to skip reset during suspend.
If it's set, the driver will stop asserting the reset GPIO during
power-down. Refer to the comments in the driver for details.
