1c035c8c2c bgpd: Implement match source-protocol for route-maps
The main idea is to filter routes by matching source (originating) protocol
for outgoing direction. For instance, filter outgoing routes to an arbitrary
router that are static only. Or filter out only routes learned from RIP.

81a57d8181 bgpd: Deprecate BGP internet community
Quite a few well-known communities from IANA's list do
not receive special treatment in Cisco IOS XR, and at least one
community on Cisco IOS XR's special treatment list, internet == 0:0,
is not formally a well-known community as it is not in [IANA-WKC] (it
is taken from the Reserved range [0x00000000-0x0000FFFF]).

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8642

This is Cisco-specific command which is causing lots of questions when it
comes to debugging and/or configuring it properly, but overall, this behavior
is very odd and it's not clear how it should be treated between different
vendor implementations.

Let's deprecate it and let the operators use 0:0/0 communities as they want.

5bbcc78202 bgpd: clarify when the vpnv6 nexthop length must be modified
Using a route-map to update the local ipv6 address has to be
better clarified. Actually, when a VPN SAFI is used, the nexthop
length must be changed to 48 bytes. Other cases, the length will
be 32 bytes.

17571c4ae7 bgpd: aspath list format binds on as-notation format
Each BGP prefix may have an as-path list attached. A forged
string is stored in the BGP attribute and shows the as-path
list output.

Before this commit, the as-path list output was expressed as
a list of AS values in plain format. Now, if a given BGP instance
uses a specific asnotation, then the output is changed:

new output:
router bgp 1.1 asnotation dot

asnotation.
- 3 new printf extensions display the as number in the wished

8079a4138d lib, bgp: add initial support for asdot format
AS number can be defined as an unsigned long number, or
two uint16 values separated by a period (.). The possible
valus are:
- usual 32 bit values : [1;2^32 -1]
- <1.65535>.<0.65535> for dot notation
- <0.65535>.<0.65535> for dot+ notation.

The 0.0 value is forbidden when configuring BGP instances
or peer configurations.

A new ASN type is added for parsing in the vty.
The following commands use that new identifier:
- router bgp ..
- bgp confederation ..
- neighbor <> remote-as <>
- neighbor <> local-as <>
- clear ip bgp <>
- route-map / set as-path <>

An asn library is available in lib/ and provides some
services:
- convert an as string into an as number.
- parse an as path list string and extract a number.
- convert an as number into a string.

Also, the bgp tests forge an as_zero_path, and to do that,
an API to relax the possibility to have a 0 as value is
specifically called from the tests.

9795e9f234 bgpd: fix when route-map changes the link local nexthop for vpnv6
This fix updates the nexthop length of a bgp update to be
transmitted to a remote peer. Before the previous commit,
the ipv6 nexthop length was internally set to 32 bytes which
was not correct, as it should be 48 bytes which is conform
to the vpnv6 encoding format.

However, without the previous match, even if internally, the
nexthop length was set to 32, the real nexthop length was set
to 48 bytes, and everything was operating ok.

Now, if we use the following route-map, and attach it to
outgoing for vpnv6 address family, then we have a malformed
packet detected, and the peering breaks.

 > route-map rmap permit 1
 > set ipv6 next-hop global 5:5::3:6
 > set ipv6 next-hop local fe80:55::333:222

Maintain the mp_nexthop_len to 48 bytes if it was already set
to 48 previously.

Seems that if using PCRE2, we need to escape outer `()` chars and `|`. Sounds
like a bug.
But this is only with some older PCRE2 versions. With >= 10.36, I wasn't able
to reproduce this, everything is fine and working as expected.

Adding _FRR_PCRE2_POSIX definition because pcre2posix.h does not have
include's guard.

Merge pull request #12196 from opensourcerouting/xref-vtysh
*: rewrite `extract.pl` using `xref` infra
2022-11-03 08:54:09 -04:00
David Lamparter
89cb86aeb0 build, vtysh: extract vtysh commands from .xref
Rather than running selected source files through the preprocessor and a
bunch of perl regex'ing to get the list of all DEFUNs, use the data
collected in frr.xref.

This not only eliminates issues we've been having with preprocessor
failures due to nonexistent header files, but is also much faster.
Where extract.pl would take 5s, this now finishes in 0.2s. And since
this is a non-parallelizable build step towards the end of the build
(dependent on a lot of other things being done already), the speedup is
actually noticeable.

Also files containing CLI no longer need to be listed in `vtysh_scan`
since the .xref data covers everything. `#ifndef VTYSH_EXTRACT_PL`
checks are equally obsolete.

1bb550b63c bgpd: add resolution for l3vpn traffic over gre interfaces
When a route imported from l3vpn is analysed, the nexthop from default
VRF is looked up against a valid MPLS path. Generally, this is done on
backbones with a MPLS signalisation transport layer like LDP. Generally,
the BGP connection is multiple hops away. That scenario is already
working.

There is case where it is possible to run L3VPN over GRE interfaces, and
where there is no LSP path over that GRE interface: GRE is just here to
tunnel MPLS traffic. On that case, the nexthop given in the path does not
have MPLS path, but should be authorized to convey MPLS traffic provided
that the user permits it via a configuration command.

That commit introduces a new command that can be activated in route-map:
 > set l3vpn next-hop encapsulation gre

That command authorizes the nexthop tracking engine to accept paths that
o have a GRE interface as output, independently of the presence of an LSP
path or not.

A configuration example is given below. When bgp incoming vpnv4 updates
are received, the nexthop of NLRI is 192.168.0.2. Based on nexthop
tracking service from zebra, BGP knows that the output interface to reach
192.168.0.2 is r1-gre0. Because that interface is not MPLS based, but is
a GRE tunnel, then the update will be using that nexthop to be installed.

    interface r1-gre0

6eb8350586 bgpd,lib: route-map/plist matching via type-2/5 routes
Implement the ability to match type-2 and type-5 routes
via a route-map and a prefix-list.

Add some library code to convert an evpn prefix into
a general ipv4/ipv6 prefix for type-2 and type-5 routes.
evpn prefix is really just another subtype of prefix so all
the info needed can be extracted right there.

Add a special handler to bgp_routemap for evpn type routes
when applying the outbound route-map. This calls the library
code to convert the evpn_prefix to a ipv4/ipv6 prefix and
run it through the plist code. In this we assume type-2 routes
are a /32.

f1aa49293a bgpd: Send route update when modifying access/aspath/prefix lists
Handle ORF REMOVE_ALL events as well, because now we just silently return, and
a stale dynamic prefix-list is used instead of the new one.

Before this, soft clear/route refresh was needed. Don't know the reason, but
we didn't send updates when modifying the filters.

Probably due to a massive change of filters and to avoid automatic updates :/
