a032fe30cf platform/x86: int3472: add hpd pin support
Typically HDMI to MIPI CSI-2 bridges have a pin to signal image data is
being received. On the host side this is wired to a GPIO for polling or
interrupts. This includes the Lontium HDMI to MIPI CSI-2 bridges
lt6911uxe and lt6911uxc.

The GPIO "hpd" is used already by other HDMI to CSI-2 bridges, use it
here as well.

Linus Torvalds
8be4d31cb8 Networking changes for 6.17.
Core & protocols
 ----------------

  - Wrap datapath globals into net_aligned_data, to avoid false sharing.

  - Preserve MSG_ZEROCOPY in forwarding (e.g. out of a container).

  - Add SO_INQ and SCM_INQ support to AF_UNIX.

  - Add SIOCINQ support to AF_VSOCK.

  - Add TCP_MAXSEG sockopt to MPTCP.

  - Add IPv6 force_forwarding sysctl to enable forwarding per interface.

  - Make TCP validation of whether packet fully fits in the receive
window and the rcv_buf more strict. With increased use of HW
aggregation a single "packet" can be multiple 100s of kB.

  - Add MSG_MORE flag to optimize large TCP transmissions via sockmap,
improves latency up to 33% for sockmap users.

  - Convert TCP send queue handling from tasklet to BH workque.

  - Improve BPF iteration over TCP sockets to see each socket exactly once.

  - Remove obsolete and unused TCP RFC3517/RFC6675 loss recovery code.

  - Support enabling kernel threads for NAPI processing on per-NAPI
instance basis rather than a whole device. Fully stop the kernel NAPI
thread when threaded NAPI gets disabled. Previously thread would stick
around until ifdown due to tricky synchronization.

  - Allow multicast routing to take effect on locally-generated packets.

  - Add output interface argument for End.X in segment routing.

  - MCTP: add support for gateway routing, improve bind() handling.

  - Don't require rtnl_lock when fetching an IPv6 neighbor over Netlink.

  - Add a new neighbor flag ("extern_valid"), which cedes refresh
responsibilities to userspace. This is needed for EVPN multi-homing
where a neighbor entry for a multi-homed host needs to be synced
across all the VTEPs among which the host is multi-homed.

  - Support NUD_PERMANENT for proxy neighbor entries.

  - Add a new queuing discipline for IETF RFC9332 DualQ Coupled AQM.

  - Add sequence numbers to netconsole messages. Unregister netconsole's
console when all net targets are removed. Code refactoring.
    Add a number of selftests.

  - Align IPSec inbound SA lookup to RFC 4301. Only SPI and protocol
should be used for an inbound SA lookup.

  - Support inspecting ref_tracker state via DebugFS.

  - Don't force bonding advertisement frames tx to ~333 ms boundaries.
Add broadcast_neighbor option to send ARP/ND on all bonded links.

  - Allow providing upcall pid for the 'execute' command in openvswitch.

  - Remove DCCP support from Netfilter's conntrack.

  - Disallow multiple packet duplications in the queuing layer.

  - Prevent use of deprecated iptables code on PREEMPT_RT.

 Driver API
 ----------

  - Support RSS and hashing configuration over ethtool Netlink.

  - Add dedicated ethtool callbacks for getting and setting hashing fields.

  - Add support for power budget evaluation strategy in PSE /
Power-over-Ethernet. Generate Netlink events for overcurrent etc.

  - Support DPLL phase offset monitoring across all device inputs.
Support providing clock reference and SYNC over separate DPLL
    inputs.

  - Support traffic classes in devlink rate API for bandwidth management.

  - Remove rtnl_lock dependency from UDP tunnel port configuration.

 Device drivers
 --------------

  - Add a new Broadcom driver for 800G Ethernet (bnge).

  - Add a standalone driver for Microchip ZL3073x DPLL.

  - Remove IBM's NETIUCV device driver.

  - Ethernet high-speed NICs:
    - Broadcom (bnxt):
     - support zero-copy Tx of DMABUF memory
     - take page size into account for page pool recycling rings
    - Intel (100G, ice, idpf):

Pull networking updates from Jakub Kicinski:
 "Core & protocols:

   - Wrap datapath globals into net_aligned_data, to avoid false sharing

   - Preserve MSG_ZEROCOPY in forwarding (e.g. out of a container)

   - Add SO_INQ and SCM_INQ support to AF_UNIX

   - Add SIOCINQ support to AF_VSOCK

   - Add TCP_MAXSEG sockopt to MPTCP

   - Add IPv6 force_forwarding sysctl to enable forwarding per interface

   - Make TCP validation of whether packet fully fits in the receive
window and the rcv_buf more strict. With increased use of HW
aggregation a single "packet" can be multiple 100s of kB

   - Add MSG_MORE flag to optimize large TCP transmissions via sockmap,
improves latency up to 33% for sockmap users

   - Convert TCP send queue handling from tasklet to BH workque

   - Improve BPF iteration over TCP sockets to see each socket exactly
     once

   - Remove obsolete and unused TCP RFC3517/RFC6675 loss recovery code

   - Support enabling kernel threads for NAPI processing on per-NAPI
instance basis rather than a whole device. Fully stop the kernel
NAPI thread when threaded NAPI gets disabled. Previously thread
would stick around until ifdown due to tricky synchronization

   - Allow multicast routing to take effect on locally-generated packets

   - Add output interface argument for End.X in segment routing

   - MCTP: add support for gateway routing, improve bind() handling

   - Don't require rtnl_lock when fetching an IPv6 neighbor over Netlink

   - Add a new neighbor flag ("extern_valid"), which cedes refresh
responsibilities to userspace. This is needed for EVPN multi-homing
where a neighbor entry for a multi-homed host needs to be synced
across all the VTEPs among which the host is multi-homed

   - Support NUD_PERMANENT for proxy neighbor entries

   - Add a new queuing discipline for IETF RFC9332 DualQ Coupled AQM

   - Add sequence numbers to netconsole messages. Unregister
netconsole's console when all net targets are removed. Code
refactoring. Add a number of selftests

   - Align IPSec inbound SA lookup to RFC 4301. Only SPI and protocol
should be used for an inbound SA lookup

   - Support inspecting ref_tracker state via DebugFS

   - Don't force bonding advertisement frames tx to ~333 ms boundaries.
Add broadcast_neighbor option to send ARP/ND on all bonded links

   - Allow providing upcall pid for the 'execute' command in openvswitch

   - Remove DCCP support from Netfilter's conntrack

   - Disallow multiple packet duplications in the queuing layer

   - Prevent use of deprecated iptables code on PREEMPT_RT

  Driver API:

   - Support RSS and hashing configuration over ethtool Netlink

   - Add dedicated ethtool callbacks for getting and setting hashing
     fields

   - Add support for power budget evaluation strategy in PSE /
Power-over-Ethernet. Generate Netlink events for overcurrent etc

   - Support DPLL phase offset monitoring across all device inputs.
Support providing clock reference and SYNC over separate DPLL
     inputs

   - Support traffic classes in devlink rate API for bandwidth
     management

   - Remove rtnl_lock dependency from UDP tunnel port configuration

  Device drivers:

   - Add a new Broadcom driver for 800G Ethernet (bnge)

   - Add a standalone driver for Microchip ZL3073x DPLL

Tristram Ha
84c47bfc5b net: dsa: microchip: Add KSZ8463 switch support to KSZ DSA driver
KSZ8463 switch is a 3-port switch based from KSZ8863. Its major
difference from other KSZ SPI switches is its register access is not a
simple continual 8-bit transfer with automatic address increase but uses
a byte-enable mechanism specifying 8-bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit access. Its
registers are also defined in 16-bit format because it shares a design
with a MAC controller using 16-bit access. As a result some common
register accesses need to be re-arranged.

This patch adds the basic structure for using KSZ8463. It cannot use the
same regmap table for other KSZ switches as it interprets the 16-bit
value as little-endian and its SPI commands are different.

KSZ8463 uses a byte-enable mechanism to specify 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit
access. The register is first shifted right by 2 then left by 4. Extra
4 bits are added. If the access is 8-bit one of the 4 bits is set. If
the access is 16-bit two of the 4 bits are set. If the access is 32-bit
all 4 bits are set. The SPI command for read or write is then added.

Because of this register transformation separate SPI read and write
functions are provided for KSZ8463.

KSZ8463's internal PHYs use standard PHY register definitions so there is
no need to remap things. However, the hardware has a bug that the high
word and low word of the PHY id are swapped. In addition the port
registers are arranged differently so KSZ8463 has its own mapping for
port registers and PHY registers. Therefore the PORT_CTRL_ADDR macro is
replaced with the get_port_addr helper function.

Move FCH header to a location accessible by all archs
A new header fch.h was created to store registers used by different AMD
drivers. This header was included by i2c-piix4 in
commit 624b0d5696 ("i2c: piix4, x86/platform: Move the SB800 PIIX4 FCH
definitions to <asm/amd/fch.h>"). To prevent compile failures on non-x86
archs i2c-piix4 was set to only compile on x86 by commit 7e173eb82a
("i2c: piix4: Make CONFIG_I2C_PIIX4 dependent on CONFIG_X86").
This was not a good decision because loongarch and mips both actually
support i2c-piix4 and set it enabled in the defconfig.

Move the header to a location accessible by all architectures.

Fixes: 624b0d5696 ("i2c: piix4, x86/platform: Move the SB800 PIIX4 FCH definitions to <asm/amd/fch.h>")

platform/x86: int3472: Export int3472_discrete_parse_crs()
At the moment the atomisp has duplicate code for parsing Intel camera

platform/x86: int3472: Stop using devm_gpiod_get()
The intent is to re-use the INT3472 code for parsing Intel camera sensor
GPIOs and mapping them to the sensor for the atomisp driver, which
currently has duplicate code.

On atomisp devices there is no special INT3472 ACPI device, instead
the Intel _DSM to get the GPIO type is part of the ACPI device for
the sensor itself.

To deal with this the mapping is done from ipu_bridge_init() instead of
from a platform-device probe() function, there is no device to tie
the lifetime of the gpiod_get() calls done by the INT3472 code to.

Switch from devm_gpiod_get() to plain gpiod_get() + explicit gpiod_put()
calls, to prepare for the code being re-used in the atomisp driver.

platform/x86: asus-wmi: Refactor Ally suspend/resume
Adjust how the CSEE direct call hack is used.

The results of months of testing combined with help from ASUS to
determine the actual cause of suspend issues has resulted in this
refactoring which immensely improves the reliability for devices which
do not have the following minimum MCU FW version:
- ROG Ally X: 313
- ROG Ally 1: 319

For MCU FW versions that match the minimum or above the CSEE hack is
disabled and mcu_powersave set to on by default as there are no
negatives beyond a slightly slower device reinitialization due to the
MCU being powered off.

As this is set only at module load time, it is still possible for
mcu_powersave sysfs attributes to change it at runtime if so desired.

1a9239bb42 Networking changes for 6.15.
Core & protocols
 ----------------

  - Continue Netlink conversions to per-namespace RTNL lock
(IPv4 routing, routing rules, routing next hops, ARP ioctls).

  - Continue extending the use of netdev instance locks. As a driver
opt-in protect queue operations and (in due course) ethtool
operations with the instance lock and not RTNL lock.

  - Support collecting TCP timestamps (data submitted, sent, acked)
in BPF, allowing for transparent (to the application) and lower
overhead tracking of TCP RPC performance.

  - Tweak existing networking Rx zero-copy infra to support zero-copy
    Rx via io_uring.

  - Optimize MPTCP performance in single subflow mode by 29%.

  - Enable GRO on packets which went thru XDP CPU redirect (were queued
for processing on a different CPU). Improving TCP stream performance
    up to 2x.

  - Improve performance of contended connect() by 200% by searching
for an available 4-tuple under RCU rather than a spin lock.
Bring an additional 229% improvement by tweaking hash distribution.

  - Avoid unconditionally touching sk_tsflags on RX, improving
performance under UDP flood by as much as 10%.

  - Avoid skb_clone() dance in ping_rcv() to improve performance under
    ping flood.

  - Avoid FIB lookup in netfilter if socket is available, 20% perf win.

  - Rework network device creation (in-kernel) API to more clearly
identify network namespaces and their roles.
There are up to 4 namespace roles but we used to have just 2 netns
pointer arguments, interpreted differently based on context.

  - Use sysfs_break_active_protection() instead of trylock to avoid
deadlocks between unregistering objects and sysfs access.

  - Add a new sysctl and sockopt for capping max retransmit timeout
    in TCP.

  - Support masking port and DSCP in routing rule matches.

  - Support dumping IPv4 multicast addresses with RTM_GETMULTICAST.

  - Support specifying at what time packet should be sent on AF_XDP
    sockets.

  - Expose TCP ULP diagnostic info (for TLS and MPTCP) to non-admin users.

  - Add Netlink YAML spec for WiFi (nl80211) and conntrack.

  - Introduce EXPORT_IPV6_MOD() and EXPORT_IPV6_MOD_GPL() for symbols
which only need to be exported when IPv6 support is built as a module.

  - Age FDB entries based on Rx not Tx traffic in VxLAN, similar
    to normal bridging.

  - Allow users to specify source port range for GENEVE tunnels.

  - netconsole: allow attaching kernel release, CPU ID and task name
    to messages as metadata

 Driver API
 ----------

  - Continue rework / fixing of Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) across
the SW layers. Delegate the responsibilities to phylink where possible.
    Improve its handling in phylib.

  - Support symmetric OR-XOR RSS hashing algorithm.

  - Support tracking and preserving IRQ affinity by NAPI itself.

  - Support loopback mode speed selection for interface selftests.

Pull networking updates from Jakub Kicinski:
 "Core & protocols:

   - Continue Netlink conversions to per-namespace RTNL lock
(IPv4 routing, routing rules, routing next hops, ARP ioctls)

   - Continue extending the use of netdev instance locks. As a driver
opt-in protect queue operations and (in due course) ethtool
operations with the instance lock and not RTNL lock.

   - Support collecting TCP timestamps (data submitted, sent, acked) in
BPF, allowing for transparent (to the application) and lower
overhead tracking of TCP RPC performance.

   - Tweak existing networking Rx zero-copy infra to support zero-copy
     Rx via io_uring.

   - Optimize MPTCP performance in single subflow mode by 29%.

   - Enable GRO on packets which went thru XDP CPU redirect (were queued
for processing on a different CPU). Improving TCP stream
     performance up to 2x.

   - Improve performance of contended connect() by 200% by searching for
an available 4-tuple under RCU rather than a spin lock. Bring an
additional 229% improvement by tweaking hash distribution.

There are up to 4
namespace roles but we used to have just 2 netns pointer arguments,
     interpreted differently based on context.

   - Use sysfs_break_active_protection() instead of trylock to avoid
deadlocks between unregistering objects and sysfs access.

   - Add a new sysctl and sockopt for capping max retransmit timeout in
     TCP.

   - Support masking port and DSCP in routing rule matches.

   - Support dumping IPv4 multicast addresses with RTM_GETMULTICAST.

   - Support specifying at what time packet should be sent on AF_XDP
     sockets.

   - Expose TCP ULP diagnostic info (for TLS and MPTCP) to non-admin
     users.

   - Add Netlink YAML spec for WiFi (nl80211) and conntrack.

   - Introduce EXPORT_IPV6_MOD() and EXPORT_IPV6_MOD_GPL() for symbols
which only need to be exported when IPv6 support is built as a
     module.

   - Age FDB entries based on Rx not Tx traffic in VxLAN, similar to
     normal bridging.

   - Allow users to specify source port range for GENEVE tunnels.

   - netconsole: allow attaching kernel release, CPU ID and task name to
     messages as metadata

  Driver API:

   - Continue rework / fixing of Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) across
the SW layers. Delegate the responsibilities to phylink where
possible. Improve its handling in phylib.

   - Support symmetric OR-XOR RSS hashing algorithm.

   - Support tracking and preserving IRQ affinity by NAPI itself.

   - Support loopback mode speed selection for interface selftests.

  Device drivers:

   - Remove the IBM LCS driver for s390

   - Remove the sb1000 cable modem driver

   - Add support for SFP module access over SMBus

   - Add MCTP transport driver for MCTP-over-USB

   - Enable XDP metadata support in multiple drivers

7e2f7e25f6 arch: x86: add IPC mailbox accessor function and add SoC register access
- Exports intel_pmc_ipc() for host access to the PMC IPC mailbox
- Enables the host to access specific SoC registers through the PMC
firmware using IPC commands. This access method is necessary for
registers that are not available through direct Memory-Mapped I/O (MMIO),
which is used for other accessible parts of the PMC.

7636f090d0
platform: arm64: add Huawei Matebook E Go EC driver
There are three variants of which Huawei released the first two
simultaneously.

Huawei Matebook E Go LTE(sc8180x), codename seems to be gaokun2.
Huawei Matebook E Go(sc8280xp@3.0GHz), codename must be gaokun3. (see [1])
Huawei Matebook E Go 2023(sc8280xp@2.69GHz), codename should be also gaokun3.

Adding support for the latter two variants for now, this driver should
also work for the sc8180x variant according to acpi table files, but I
don't have the device to test yet.

Different from other Qualcomm Snapdragon sc8280xp based machines, the
Huawei Matebook E Go uses an embedded controller while others use
a system called PMIC GLink. This embedded controller can be used to
perform a set of various functions, including, but not limited to:

- Battery and charger monitoring;
- Charge control and smart charge;
- Fn_lock settings;
- Tablet lid status;
- Temperature sensors;
- USB Type-C notifications (ports orientation,  DP alt mode HPD);
- USB Type-C PD (according to observation, up to 48w).

Add a driver for the EC which creates devices for UCSI and power supply
devices.

This driver is inspired by the following drivers:
        drivers/platform/arm64/acer-aspire1-ec.c
        drivers/platform/arm64/lenovo-yoga-c630.c
        drivers/platform/x86/huawei-wmi.c

Also thanks for reviewers' working. They have made this patch improve
a lot.

26769582bf mfd: syscon: Remove the platform driver support
The platform driver is dead code. It is not used by DT platforms since
commit bdb0066df9 ("mfd: syscon: Decouple syscon interface from
platform devices") which said:

For non-DT based platforms, this patch keeps syscon platform driver
structure so that syscon can be probed and such non-DT based drivers
can use syscon_regmap_lookup_by_pdev API and access regmap handles.
Once all users of "syscon_regmap_lookup_by_pdev" migrated to DT based,
we can completely remove platform driver of syscon, and keep only helper
    functions to get regmap handles.

The last user of syscon_regmap_lookup_by_pdevname() was removed in 2018.
syscon_regmap_lookup_by_pdevname() was then removed in 2019, but that
commit failed to remove the rest of the platform driver.

5ffa0dbfdc platform/chrome: cros_ec: jump to RW before probing
There are EC devices, like FPMCU, that use RWSIG as a method of
authenticating RW section. After the authentication succeeds, EC device
waits some time before jumping to RW. EC can be probed before the jump,
which means there is a time window after jump to RW in which EC won't
respond, because it is not initialized. It can cause a communication
errors after probing.

To avoid such problems, send the RWSIG continue command first, which
skips waiting for the jump to RW. Send the command more times, to make
sure EC is ready in RW before the start of the actual probing process. If
a EC device doesn't support the RWSIG, it will respond with invalid
command error code and probing will continue as usual.

fcc79e1714 Networking changes for 6.13.
The most significant set of changes is the per netns RTNL. The new
behavior is disabled by default, regression risk should be contained.

Notably the new config knob PTP_1588_CLOCK_VMCLOCK will inherit its
default value from PTP_1588_CLOCK_KVM, as the first is intended to be
a more reliable replacement for the latter.

 Core
 ----

  - Started a very large, in-progress, effort to make the RTNL lock
scope per network-namespace, thus reducing the lock contention
significantly in the containerized use-case, comprising:
    - RCU-ified some relevant slices of the FIB control path
    - introduce basic per netns locking helpers
    - namespacified the IPv4 address hash table
    - remove rtnl_register{,_module}() in favour of rtnl_register_many()
    - refactor rtnl_{new,del,set}link() moving as much validation as
      possible out of RTNL lock
    - convert all phonet doit() and dumpit() handlers to RCU
    - convert IPv4 addresses manipulation to per-netns RTNL
    - convert virtual interface creation to per-netns RTNL
the per-netns lock infra is guarded by the CONFIG_DEBUG_NET_SMALL_RTNL
knob, disabled by default ad interim.

  - Introduce NAPI suspension, to efficiently switching between busy
polling (NAPI processing suspended) and normal processing.

  - Migrate the IPv4 routing input, output and control path from direct
ToS usage to DSCP macros. This is a work in progress to make ECN
    handling consistent and reliable.

  - Add drop reasons support to the IPv4 rotue input path, allowing
better introspection in case of packets drop.

  - Make FIB seqnum lockless, dropping RTNL protection for read
    access.

  - Make inet{,v6} addresses hashing less predicable.

  - Allow providing timestamp OPT_ID via cmsg, to correlate TX packets
    and timestamps

Things we sprinkled into general kernel code
 --------------------------------------------

  - Add small file operations for debugfs, to reduce the struct ops size.

  - Refactoring and optimization for the implementation of page_frag API,
This is a preparatory work to consolidate the page_frag
    implementation.

 Netfilter
 ---------

  - Optimize set element transactions to reduce memory consumption

  - Extended netlink error reporting for attribute parser failure.

  - Make legacy xtables configs user selectable, giving users
the option to configure iptables without enabling any other config.

  - Address a lot of false-positive RCU issues, pointed by recent
    CI improvements.

 BPF
 ---

  - Put xsk sockets on a struct diet and add various cleanups. Overall,
this helps to bump performance by 12% for some workloads.

  - Extend BPF selftests to increase coverage of XDP features in
    combination with BPF cpumap.

  - Optimize and homogenize bpf_csum_diff helper for all archs and also
add a batch of new BPF selftests for it.

  - Extend netkit with an option to delegate skb->{mark,priority}
    scrubbing to its BPF program.

  - Make the bpf_get_netns_cookie() helper available also to tc(x) BPF
    programs.

 Protocols
 ---------

  - Introduces 4-tuple hash for connected udp sockets, speeding-up
    significantly connected sockets lookup.

  - Add a fastpath for some TCP timers that usually expires after close,
    the socket lock contention.

  - Add inbound and outbound xfrm state caches to speed up state lookups.

  - Avoid sending MPTCP advertisements on stale subflows, reducing
    risks on loosing them.

  - Make neighbours table flushing more scalable, maintaining per device
    neigh lists.

 Driver API
 ----------

  - Introduce a unified interface to configure transmission H/W shaping,
and expose it to user-space via generic-netlink.

  - Add support for per-NAPI config via netlink. This makes napi
configuration persistent across queues removal and re-creation.
Requires driver updates, currently supported drivers are:
nVidia/Mellanox mlx4 and mlx5, Broadcom brcm and Intel ice.

  - Add ethtool support for writing SFP / PHY firmware blocks.

  - Track RSS context allocation from ethtool core.

  - Implement support for mirroring to DSA CPU port, via TC mirror
    offload.

  - Consolidate FDB updates notification, to avoid duplicates on
    device-specific entries.

  - Expose DPLL clock quality level to the user-space.

  - Support master-slave PHY config via device tree.

 Tests and tooling
 -----------------

  - forwarding: introduce deferred commands, to simplify
    the cleanup phase

 Drivers
 -------

  - Updated several drivers - Amazon vNic, Google vNic, Microsoft vNic,
Intel e1000e and Broadcom Tigon3 - to use netdev-genl to link the
IRQs and queues to NAPI IDs, allowing busy polling and better
    introspection.

Merge tag 'net-next-6.13' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net-next

Pull networking updates from Paolo Abeni:
"The most significant set of changes is the per netns RTNL. The new
behavior is disabled by default, regression risk should be contained.

Notably the new config knob PTP_1588_CLOCK_VMCLOCK will inherit its
default value from PTP_1588_CLOCK_KVM, as the first is intended to be
a more reliable replacement for the latter.

  Core:

   - Started a very large, in-progress, effort to make the RTNL lock
scope per network-namespace, thus reducing the lock contention
significantly in the containerized use-case, comprising:
       - RCU-ified some relevant slices of the FIB control path
       - introduce basic per netns locking helpers
       - namespacified the IPv4 address hash table
       - remove rtnl_register{,_module}() in favour of
         rtnl_register_many()
       - refactor rtnl_{new,del,set}link() moving as much validation as
         possible out of RTNL lock
       - convert all phonet doit() and dumpit() handlers to RCU
       - convert IPv4 addresses manipulation to per-netns RTNL
       - convert virtual interface creation to per-netns RTNL
the per-netns lock infrastructure is guarded by the
CONFIG_DEBUG_NET_SMALL_RTNL knob, disabled by default ad interim.

   - Make FIB seqnum lockless, dropping RTNL protection for read access.

   - Make inet{,v6} addresses hashing less predicable.

   - Allow providing timestamp OPT_ID via cmsg, to correlate TX packets
     and timestamps

Things we sprinkled into general kernel code:

   - Add small file operations for debugfs, to reduce the struct ops
     size.

   - Refactoring and optimization for the implementation of page_frag
API, This is a preparatory work to consolidate the page_frag
     implementation.

  Netfilter:

   - Optimize set element transactions to reduce memory consumption

   - Extended netlink error reporting for attribute parser failure.

   - Make legacy xtables configs user selectable, giving users the
option to configure iptables without enabling any other config.

   - Address a lot of false-positive RCU issues, pointed by recent CI
     improvements.

  BPF:

   - Put xsk sockets on a struct diet and add various cleanups. Overall,
this helps to bump performance by 12% for some workloads.

   - Extend BPF selftests to increase coverage of XDP features in
     combination with BPF cpumap.

   - Optimize and homogenize bpf_csum_diff helper for all archs and also
add a batch of new BPF selftests for it.

   - Extend netkit with an option to delegate skb->{mark,priority}
     scrubbing to its BPF program.

   - Make the bpf_get_netns_cookie() helper available also to tc(x) BPF
     programs.

  Protocols:

   - Introduces 4-tuple hash for connected udp sockets, speeding-up
     significantly connected sockets lookup.

   - Add a fastpath for some TCP timers that usually expires after
     close, the socket lock contention.

   - Add inbound and outbound xfrm state caches to speed up state
     lookups.

   - Avoid sending MPTCP advertisements on stale subflows, reducing
     risks on loosing them.

   - Make neighbours table flushing more scalable, maintaining per
     device neigh lists.

  Driver API:

   - Introduce a unified interface to configure transmission H/W
shaping, and expose it to user-space via generic-netlink.

   - Add support for per-NAPI config via netlink. This makes napi
configuration persistent across queues removal and re-creation.
Requires driver updates, currently supported drivers are:
nVidia/Mellanox mlx4 and mlx5, Broadcom brcm and Intel ice.

   - Add ethtool support for writing SFP / PHY firmware blocks.

   - Track RSS context allocation from ethtool core.

   - Implement support for mirroring to DSA CPU port, via TC mirror
     offload.

   - Consolidate FDB updates notification, to avoid duplicates on
     device-specific entries.

   - Expose DPLL clock quality level to the user-space.

   - Support master-slave PHY config via device tree.

  Tests and tooling:

   - forwarding: introduce deferred commands, to simplify the cleanup
     phase

  Drivers:

   - Updated several drivers - Amazon vNic, Google vNic, Microsoft vNic,
Intel e1000e and Broadcom Tigon3 - to use netdev-genl to link the
IRQs and queues to NAPI IDs, allowing busy polling and better
     introspection.

   - Ethernet high-speed NICs:
      - nVidia/Mellanox:
         - mlx5:
           - a large refactor to implement support for cross E-Switch
             scheduling
           - refactor H/W conter management to let it scale better
           - H/W GRO cleanups
      - Intel (100G, ice)::
         - add support for ethtool reset

         - implement per device queue stats support
      - Broadcom (bnxt):
         - improve wildcard l4proto on IPv4/IPv6 ntuple rules
      - Marvell Octeon:
         - Add representor support for each Resource Virtualization Unit
           (RVU) device.

         - add support for the BMC Gigabit Ethernet
      - IBM (EMAC):
         - driver cleanup and modernization

16220cb315 net: dsa: microchip: Add LAN9646 switch support to KSZ DSA driver
LAN9646 switch is a 6-port switch with functions like KSZ9897. It has
4 internal PHYs and 1 SGMII port. The chip id read from hardware is
same as KSZ9477, so software driver needs to create a new chip id and
group allowable functions under its chip data structure to
differentiate the product.
