platform/x86: int3472: Call "reset" GPIO "enable" for INT347E
The DT bindings for ov7251 specify "enable" GPIO (xshutdown in
documentation) but the int3472 indiscriminately provides this as a "reset"
GPIO to sensor drivers. Take this into account by assigning it as "enable"
with active high polarity for INT347E devices, i.e. ov7251. "reset" with
active low polarity remains the default GPIO name for other devices.

platform/x86: intel/pmc: Fix ioremap() of bad address
In pmc_core_ssram_get_pmc(), the physical addresses for hidden SSRAM
devices are retrieved from the MMIO region of the primary SSRAM device.
If additional devices are not present, the address returned is zero.
Currently, the code does not check for this condition, resulting in
ioremap() incorrectly attempting to map address 0.

Add a check for a zero address and return 0 if no additional devices
are found, as it is not an error for the device to be absent.

platform/x86: int3472: Make "pin number mismatch" message a debug message
It seems that Windows is only using the ACPI GPIO resources and never
looks at the part of the _DSM return value which encodes the pin number.

For example on a Terra Pad 1262 v2 the following messages are printend:

int3472-discrete INT3472:01: reset \_SB.GPI0 pin number mismatch _DSM 103 resource 359
int3472-discrete INT3472:01: powerdown \_SB.GPI0 pin number mismatch _DSM 207 resource 335
int3472-discrete INT3472:02: reset \_SB.GPI0 pin number mismatch _DSM 101 resource 357

Notice for the 2 reset pins that the _DSM value is off by 256, this is
caused by there only being 8 bits reserved in the _DSM return value for
the pin-number.

As for the powerdown pin, testing has shown that the pin-number 335 from
the ACPI GPIO resource is correct and the _DSM value is bogus.

look at the lower 8 bits of the GPIO resource pin numbers.

platform/x86: int3472: Check for adev == NULL
Not all devices have an ACPI companion fwnode, so adev might be NULL. This
can e.g. (theoretically) happen when a user manually binds one of
the int3472 drivers to another i2c/platform device through sysfs.

Add a check for adev not being set and return -ENODEV in that case to
avoid a possible NULL pointer deref in skl_int3472_get_acpi_buffer().

platform/x86/intel: bytcrc_pwrsrc: Optionally register a power_supply dev
On some Android tablets with Crystal Cove PMIC the DSDT lacks an ACPI AC
device to indicate whether a charger is plugged in or not.

Add support for registering a "crystal_cove_pwrsrc" power_supply class
device to indicate charger online status. This is made conditional on
a "linux,register-pwrsrc-power_supply" boolean device-property to avoid
registering a duplicate power_supply class device on devices where this
is already handled by an ACPI AC device.

Note the "linux,register-pwrsrc-power_supply" property is only used on
x86/ACPI (non devicetree) devs and the devicetree-bindings maintainers
have requested properties like these to not be added to the devicetree
bindings, so the new property is deliberately not added to any bindings.

55cb93fd24 Driver core changes for 6.13-rc1
Here is a small set of driver core changes for 6.13-rc1.

Nothing major for this merge cycle, except for the 2 simple merge
conflicts are here just to make life interesting.

 Included in here are:
   - sysfs core changes and preparations for more sysfs api cleanups that
can come through all driver trees after -rc1 is out
   - fw_devlink fixes based on many reports and debugging sessions
   - list_for_each_reverse() removal, no one was using it!
   - last-minute seq_printf() format string bug found and fixed in many
     drivers all at once.
   - minor bugfixes and changes full details in the shortlog

As mentioned above, there is 2 merge conflicts with your tree, one is
where the file is removed (easy enough to resolve), the second is a
build time error, that has been found in linux-next and the fix can be
 seen here:
 	https://lore.kernel.org/r/20241107212645.41252436@canb.auug.org.au

Other than that, the changes here have been in linux-next with no other
 reported issues.

1c58e3a528 Merge branches 'acpi-battery', 'acpi-ec', 'acpi-pfr' and 'acpi-osl'
Merge updates of the ACPI battery and EC drivers, an ACPI Platform
Firmware Runtime (PFR) telemetry driver update and an ACPI OS support
layer change for 6.13-rc1:

 - Use DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS in the ACPI battery driver, make it use
devm_ for initializing mutexes and allocating driver data, and make
it check the register_pm_notifier() return value (Thomas Weißschuh,
   Andy Shevchenko).

 - Make the ACPI EC driver support compile-time conditional and allow
ACPI to be built without CONFIG_HAS_IOPORT (Arnd Bergmann).

 - Remove a redundant error check from the pfr_telemetry driver (Colin
   Ian King).

* acpi-battery:
ACPI: battery: Check for error code from devm_mutex_init() call
  ACPI: battery: use DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS
ACPI: battery: initialize mutexes through devm_ APIs
ACPI: battery: allocate driver data through devm_ APIs
ACPI: battery: check result of register_pm_notifier()

* acpi-ec:

platform/x86/intel/pmt: allow user offset for PMT callbacks
Usage of the telem sysfs file allows for partial reads at an offset.
The current callback method returns the buffer starting from offset 0
only.

Include the requested offset in the callback and update the necessary
address calculations with the offset.

Note: offset addition is moved from the caller to the local usage. For
non-callback usage this is unchanged behavior.

intel-hid: fix volume buttons on Thinkpad X12 Detachable Tablet Gen 1
Volume buttons on Lenovo Thinkpad X12 Detachable Tablet Gen 1 did not
send any input events when pressed. When loading intel-hid with the 5
Button Array explicitly enabled, the buttons functioned normally.

Adds the X12 Detachable Tablet Gen 1 to the `button_array_table`.

However, the driver is unable to call INTEL_HID_DSM_BTNE_FN and prints
the warning "failed to set button capability" when attempting to enable
or disable the 5 Button Array. The warning should be harmless and
adding more special handling to avoid it is not worth it.

a6021aa24f ACPI: EC: make EC support compile-time conditional
The embedded controller code is mainly used on x86 laptops and cannot
work without PC style I/O port access.

Make this a user-visible configuration option that is default enabled
on x86 but otherwise disabled, and that can never be enabled unless
CONFIG_HAS_IOPORT is also available.

The empty stubs in internal.h help ignore the EC code in configurations
that don't support it. In order to see those stubs, the sbshc code also
has to include this header and drop duplicate declarations.

All the direct callers of ec_read/ec_write already had an x86
dependency and now also need to depend on APCI_EC.

5fa6078801 platform/x86:intel/pmc: Revert "Enable the ACPI PM Timer to be turned off when suspended"
Commit e86c8186d0 ("platform/x86:intel/pmc: Enable the ACPI PM Timer to
be turned off when suspended") can cause the suspend process to hang as
the pmcdev->lock in the pmc_core_acpi_pm_timer_suspend_resume might already
be held by the pmc_core_mphy_pg_show or pmc_core_pll_show if the userspace
gets frozen when these functions are being executed.

Also, pmc_core_acpi_pm_timer_suspend_resume must not sleep, as this
function is called indirectly by the tick_freeze function in
kernel/time/tick-common.c, which holds the spinlock.

Revert the changes for now to fix these issues.

platform/x86: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()
After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.

Convert all platform drivers below drivers/platform/x86/ to use
.remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct
platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the
same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure
member name in the driver initializer.

While touching these files, make indention of the struct initializer
consistent in several files.

9b79d59e6b mfd: intel_soc_pmic_bxtwc: Use IRQ domain for TMU device
While design wise the idea of converting the driver to use
the hierarchy of the IRQ chips is correct, the implementation
has (inherited) flaws. This was unveiled when platform_get_irq()
had started WARN() on IRQ 0 that is supposed to be a Linux
IRQ number (also known as vIRQ).

Rework the driver to respect IRQ domain when creating each MFD
device separately, as the domain is not the same for all of them.

The reason for this error is physical_package_ids assigned by VMware VMM
are not continuous and have gaps. This will cause value returned by
topology_physical_package_id() to be more than topology_max_packages().

Here the allocation uses topology_max_packages(). The call to
topology_max_packages() returns maximum logical package ID not physical
ID. Hence use topology_logical_package_id() instead of
topology_physical_package_id().

cedf233530 platform/x86: intel/pmc: Ignore all LTRs during suspend
Add support to ignore all LTRs before suspend and restore the previous
LTR values after suspend. This feature could be turned off with module
parameter ltr_ignore_all_suspend.

LTR value is a mechanism for a device to indicate tolerance to access
the corresponding resource. When system suspends, the resource is not
available and therefore the LTR value could be ignored. Ignoring all
LTR values prevents problematic device from blocking the system to get
to the deepest package state during suspend.

e86c8186d0 platform/x86:intel/pmc: Enable the ACPI PM Timer to be turned off when suspended
Allow to disable ACPI PM Timer on suspend and enable on resume. A
disabled timer helps optimise power consumption when the system is
suspended. On resume the timer is only reactivated if it was activated
prior to suspend, so unless the ACPI PM timer is enabled in the BIOS,
this won't change anything.

The ACPI PM timer is used by Intel's iTCO/wdat_wdt watchdog to drive the
watchdog, so it doesn't need to run during suspend.

bb9a9bf278 platform/x86/intel-uncore-freq: Do not present separate package-die domain
The scope of uncore control is per power domain with TPMI.

There are two types of processor topologies can be presented by CPUID
extended topology leaf irrespective of the hardware architecture:

1. A die is not enumerated in CPUID. In this case there is only one die
in a package is visible. In this case there can be multiple power domains
in a single die.
2. A power domain in a package is enumerated as a die in CPUID. So
there is one power domain per die.

To allow die level controls, the current implementation creates a root
domain and aggregates all information from power domains in it. This
is well suited for configuration 1 above.

But for configuration 2 above, the root domain will present the same
information as present by power domain. So, no use of aggregating. To
check the configuration, call topology_max_dies_per_package(). If it is
more than one, avoid creating root domain.

3c4d06bd6e platform/x86/intel/ifs: Add SBAF test support
In a core, the SBAF test engine is shared between sibling CPUs.

An SBAF test image contains multiple bundles. Each bundle is further
composed of subunits called programs. When a SBAF test (for a particular
core) is triggered by the user, each SBAF bundle from the loaded test
image is executed sequentially on all the threads on the core using
the stop_core_cpuslocked mechanism. Each bundle execution is initiated by
writing to MSR_ACTIVATE_SBAF.

SBAF test bundle execution may be aborted when an interrupt occurs or
if the CPU does not have enough power budget for the test. In these
cases the kernel restarts the test from the aborted bundle. SBAF
execution is not retried if the test fails or if the test makes no
forward progress after 5 retries.

0a3e4e94d1 platform/x86/intel/ifs: Add SBAF test image loading support
Structural Based Functional Test at Field (SBAF) is a new type of
testing that provides comprehensive core test coverage complementing
existing IFS tests like Scan at Field (SAF) or ArrayBist.

SBAF device will appear as a new device instance (intel_ifs_2) under
/sys/devices/virtual/misc. The user interaction necessary to load the
test image and test a particular core is the same as the existing scan
test (intel_ifs_0).

During the loading stage, the driver will look for a file named
ff-mm-ss-<batch02x>.sbft in the /lib/firmware/intel/ifs_2 directory.
The hardware interaction needed for loading the image is similar to
SAF, with the only difference being the MSR addresses used. Reuse the
SAF image loading code, passing the SBAF-specific MSR addresses via
struct ifs_test_msrs in the driver device data.

Unlike SAF, the SBAF test image chunks are further divided into smaller
logical entities called bundles. Since the SBAF test is initiated per
bundle, cache the maximum number of bundles in the current image, which
is used for iterating through bundles during SBAF test execution.

7e597d496d platform/x86/intel/ifs: Refactor MSR usage in IFS test code
IFS tests such as Scan at Field (SAF) or Structural Based Functional
Test at Field (SBAF), require the user to load a test image. The image
loading process is similar across these tests, with the only difference
being MSR addresses used. To reuse the code between these tests, remove
the hard coding of MSR addresses and allow the driver to pass the MSR
addresses per IFS test (via driver device data).

Add a new structure named "struct ifs_test_msrs" to specify the
test-specific MSR addresses. Each IFS test will provide this structure,
enabling them to reuse the common code.

This is a preliminary patch in preparation for the addition of SBAF
support.

platform/x86/intel/ifs: Initialize union ifs_status to zero
If the IFS scan test exits prematurely due to a timeout before

leading to incorrect test status reporting. To prevent this, always
initialize the union ifs_status to zero.

platform/x86: intel-vbtn: Protect ACPI notify handler against recursion
Since commit e2ffcda162 ("ACPI: OSL: Allow Notify () handlers to run on
all CPUs") ACPI notify handlers like the intel-vbtn notify_handler() may
run on multiple CPU cores racing with themselves.

This race gets hit on Dell Venue 7140 tablets when undocking from
the keyboard, causing the handler to try and register priv->switches_dev
twice, as can be seen from the dev_info() message getting logged twice:

[ 83.861800] intel-vbtn INT33D6:00: Registering Intel Virtual Switches input-dev after receiving a switch event
[ 83.861858] input: Intel Virtual Switches as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.0/PNP0C09:00/INT33D6:00/input/input17
[ 83.861865] intel-vbtn INT33D6:00: Registering Intel Virtual Switches input-dev after receiving a switch event

After which things go seriously wrong:
[ 83.861872] sysfs: cannot create duplicate filename '/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.0/PNP0C09:00/INT33D6:00/input/input17'

[ 83.877338] BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000018
...

Protect intel-vbtn notify_handler() from racing with itself with a mutex
to fix this.

platform/x86/intel/tpmi/plr: Fix output in plr_print_bits()
Smatch complains that 'str' can be used without being initialized:

    drivers/platform/x86/intel/intel_plr_tpmi.c:178 plr_print_bits()
    error: uninitialized symbol 'str'.

In this loop, we iterate over all the set bits and print the name of the
bit. The intention is that if there is a bit which is between 0-31 we
look for the name in the first array plr_coarse_reasons[] which has 10
elements. If the bit is in the 32-63 range we look for it in the
plr_fine_reasons[] array which has 30 elements. If the bit is in the
invalid ranges, 10-31 or 62-63, then we should print "UNKNOWN(%d)".

The problem is that 'str' needs to be initialized at the start of each
iteration, otherwise if we can't find the string then instead of printing
"UNKNOWN(%d)", we will re-print whatever the previous bit was.

platform/x86/intel: TPMI domain id and CPU mapping
Each TPMI power domain includes a group of CPUs. Several power
management settings in this case applicable to a group of CPUs.
There can be several power domains in a CPU package. So, provide
interfaces for:
- Get power domain id for a Linux CPU
- Get mask of Linux CPUs in a power domain

Hardware Punit uses different CPU numbering, which is not based on
APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller) CPU numbering.
The Linux CPU numbering is based on APIC CPU numbering. Some PM features
like Intel Speed Select, the CPU core mask provided by the hardware is
based on the Punit CPU numbering. To use the core mask, this mask
needs to be converted to a Linux CPUs mask. So, provide interfaces for:
- Convert to a Linux CPU number from a Punit CPU number
- Convert to a Punit CPU number from a Linux CPU number

On each CPU online, MSR 0x54 is used to read the mapping and stores in
a per cpu array. Create a hash for faster searching of a Linux CPU number
from a Punit CPU number.

Srinivas Pandruvada
1630dc626c
platform/x86: ISST: Add model specific loading for common module
SST common module is loaded when model specific or TPMI SST driver
registers for services. There are model specific features used in SST
common modules which are checked with a CPU model list. So, this module
is model specific.

There are some use cases where loading the common module independently
only on the supported CPU models helps. The first use case is for
preventing SST TPMI module loading if the model specific features are
not implemented. The second use case for presenting information to
user space when SST is used in OOB (Out of Band) mode.

1.
With TPMI, SST interface is architectural. This means that no need to add
new PCI device IDs for new CPU models. This means that there can be lag
in adding CPU models for the model specific features in the common
module. For example, before adding CPU model to GRANITERAPIDS_D to
hpm_cpu_ids[], SST is still functional for some features and but will
get/set wrong data for features like SST-CP. This is because IOCTL
ISST_IF_GET_PHY_ID, will not give correct mapping for newer CPU models.
So adding explicit model check during load time will prevent such cases.
For unsupported CPU models, common driver will fail to load and hence
dependent modules will not be loaded.

2.
When the SST TPMI features are controlled by some OOB agent (not from OS
interface), even if the CPU model is supported, there will be no user
space interface available for tools as SST TPMI modules will not
be loaded. User space interface is registered when TPMI modules call
isst_if_cdev_register(). Even in this case user space orchestrator
software needs to get power domain information to schedule workload and
get/set turbo ratio limits. This information is exposed by the common
module using IOCTLs ISST_IF_GET_PHY_ID and ISST_IF_MSR_COMMAND
respectively. Since the user space MSR access can be locked, direct MSR
access from the user space is not an option using /dev/cpu/*/msr.

Converge all the existing model checks to one common place and
use driver data to differentiate. On successful model check
call isst_misc_reg().

Since the return value returns all levels mask, not just level 0, update

9d1d36268f platform/x86: ISST: Support partitioned systems
A partitioned system has two different PCI VSEC devices per package.
A non-partitioned device has only one PCI VSEC device per package.
The current implementation only supports non partitioned systems.

Each partition maps a set of power domains. Other than reading from
different MMIO regions, there is no change in the SST functionality.
The scope of SST control is still per power domain. Hence user space
does not need to be aware of existence of partitions.

With partitions, existing per package information defined using struct
tpmi_sst_struct is enhanced to store information for both partitions. A
mapping function map_partition_power_domain_id() is introduced, which
maps to correct partition and index. This mapping function is called
in get_instance() and isst_if_clos_assoc(), before indexing into
tpmi_sst_struct->power_domain_info[].

The TPMI core platform info provides partition id and compute die ID
mask for each partition. Use this information to order power domains,
so that compute dies are presented before IO dies to match hardware
defined compute die ID for each CPU.

bd25a3f5ed platform/x86/intel/ifs: Disable irq during one load stage
One of the stages in IFS image loading process involves loading individual
chunks (test patterns) from test image file to secure memory.

Driver issues a WRMSR(MSR_AUTHENTICATE_AND_COPY_CHUNK) operation to do
this. This operation can take up to 5 msec, and if an interrupt occurs
in between, the AUTH_AND_COPY_CHUNK u-code implementation aborts the
operation.

Interrupt sources such as NMI or SMI are handled by retrying. Regular
interrupts may occur frequently enough to prevent this operation from ever
completing. Disable irq on local cpu around the aforementioned WRMSR to
allow the operation to complete.

02153e5dcb platform/x86/intel/ifs: Classify error scenarios correctly
"Scan controller error" means that scan hardware encountered an error
prior to doing an actual test on the target CPU. It does not mean that
there is an actual cpu/core failure. "scan signature failure" indicates
that the test result on the target core did not match the expected value
and should be treated as a cpu failure.

Current driver classifies both these scenarios as failures. Modify
the driver to classify this situation with a more appropriate "untested"
status instead of "fail" status.
