4bcc063939 ice, irdma: fix an off by one in error handling code
If we don't allocate the MIN number of IRQs then we need to free what
we have and return -ENOMEM. The problem is this loop is off by one
so it frees an entry that wasn't allocated and it doesn't free the
first entry where i == 0.

80f2ab46c2 irdma: free iwdev->rf after removing MSI-X
Currently iwdev->rf is allocated in irdma_probe(), but free in
irdma_ib_dealloc_device(). It can be misleading. Move the free to
irdma_remove() to be more obvious.

Freeing in irdma_ib_dealloc_device() leads to KASAN use-after-free
issue. Which can also lead to NULL pointer dereference. Fix this.

irdma_deinit_interrupts() can't be moved before freeing iwdef->rf,
because in this case deinit interrupts will be done before freeing irqs.
The simplest solution is to move kfree(iwdev->rf) to irdma_remove().

Reproducer:
  sudo rmmod irdma

9334003d13 RDMA: Don't use %pK through printk
In the past %pK was preferable to %p as it would not leak raw pointer
values into the kernel log.
Since commit ad67b74d24 ("printk: hash addresses printed with %p")
the regular %p has been improved to avoid this issue.
Furthermore, restricted pointers ("%pK") were never meant to be used
through printk(). They can still unintentionally leak raw pointers or
acquire sleeping looks in atomic contexts.

Switch to the regular pointer formatting which is safer and
easier to reason about.

VFS: rename lookup_one_len family to lookup_noperm and remove permission check
The lookup_one_len family of functions is (now) only used internally by
a filesystem on itself either
- in a context where permission checking is irrelevant such as by a
  virtual filesystem populating itself, or xfs accessing its ORPHANAGE
  or dquota accessing the quota file; or
- in a context where a permission check (MAY_EXEC on the parent) has just
  been performed such as a network filesystem finding in "silly-rename"
  file in the same directory. This is also the context after the
  _parentat() functions where currently lookup_one_qstr_excl() is used.

So the permission check is pointless.

The name "one_len" is unhelpful in understanding the purpose of these
functions and should be changed. Most of the callers pass the len as
"strlen()" so using a qstr and QSTR() can simplify the code.

This patch renames these functions (include lookup_positive_unlocked()
which is part of the family despite the name) to have a name based on
"lookup_noperm". They are changed to receive a 'struct qstr' instead
of separate name and len. In a few cases the use of QSTR() results in a
new call to strlen().

try_lookup_noperm() takes a pointer to a qstr instead of the whole
qstr. This is consistent with d_hash_and_lookup() (which is nearly
identical) and useful for lookup_noperm_unlocked().

The new lookup_noperm_common() doesn't take a qstr yet. That will be
tidied up in a subsequent patch.

In drivers/infiniband/hw/mlx4/mcg.c and drivers/infiniband/hw/mlx5/mr.c,
`msecs_to_jiffies` is used to convert milliseconds to jiffies.
For constant milliseconds, using `msecs_to_jiffies` introduces additional
computational overhead. For example, it is unnecessary to check
if m > jiffies_to_msecs(MAX_JIFFY_OFFSET) or (int)m < 0 for constants,
while using `secs_to_jiffies` can avoid these extra calculations.

1a9239bb42 Networking changes for 6.15.
Core & protocols
 ----------------

  - Continue Netlink conversions to per-namespace RTNL lock
    (IPv4 routing, routing rules, routing next hops, ARP ioctls).

  - Continue extending the use of netdev instance locks. As a driver
    opt-in protect queue operations and (in due course) ethtool
    operations with the instance lock and not RTNL lock.

  - Support collecting TCP timestamps (data submitted, sent, acked)
    in BPF, allowing for transparent (to the application) and lower
    overhead tracking of TCP RPC performance.

  - Tweak existing networking Rx zero-copy infra to support zero-copy
    Rx via io_uring.

  - Optimize MPTCP performance in single subflow mode by 29%.

  - Enable GRO on packets which went thru XDP CPU redirect (were queued
    for processing on a different CPU). Improving TCP stream performance
    up to 2x.

  - Improve performance of contended connect() by 200% by searching
    for an available 4-tuple under RCU rather than a spin lock.
    Bring an additional 229% improvement by tweaking hash distribution.

  - Avoid unconditionally touching sk_tsflags on RX, improving
    performance under UDP flood by as much as 10%.

  - Avoid skb_clone() dance in ping_rcv() to improve performance under
    ping flood.

  - Avoid FIB lookup in netfilter if socket is available, 20% perf win.

  - Rework network device creation (in-kernel) API to more clearly
    identify network namespaces and their roles.
    There are up to 4 namespace roles but we used to have just 2 netns
    pointer arguments, interpreted differently based on context.

  - Use sysfs_break_active_protection() instead of trylock to avoid
    deadlocks between unregistering objects and sysfs access.

  - Add a new sysctl and sockopt for capping max retransmit timeout
    in TCP.

  - Support masking port and DSCP in routing rule matches.

  - Support dumping IPv4 multicast addresses with RTM_GETMULTICAST.

  - Support specifying at what time packet should be sent on AF_XDP
    sockets.

  - Expose TCP ULP diagnostic info (for TLS and MPTCP) to non-admin users.

  - Add Netlink YAML spec for WiFi (nl80211) and conntrack.

  - Introduce EXPORT_IPV6_MOD() and EXPORT_IPV6_MOD_GPL() for symbols
    which only need to be exported when IPv6 support is built as a module.

  - Age FDB entries based on Rx not Tx traffic in VxLAN, similar
    to normal bridging.

  - Allow users to specify source port range for GENEVE tunnels.

  - netconsole: allow attaching kernel release, CPU ID and task name
    to messages as metadata

 Driver API
 ----------

  - Continue rework / fixing of Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) across
    the SW layers. Delegate the responsibilities to phylink where possible.

a50b4fe095 A treewide hrtimer timer cleanup
hrtimers are initialized with hrtimer_init() and a subsequent store to
   the callback pointer. This turned out to be suboptimal for the upcoming
   Rust integration and is obviously a silly implementation to begin with.

   This cleanup replaces the hrtimer_init(T); T->function = cb; sequence
   with hrtimer_setup(T, cb);

   The conversion was done with Coccinelle and a few manual fixups.

   Once the conversion has completely landed in mainline, hrtimer_init()
   will be removed and the hrtimer::function becomes a private member.

7919514764 RDMA/mlx5: Fix calculation of total invalidated pages
When invalidating an address range in mlx5, there is an optimization to
do UMR operations in chunks.
Previously, the invalidation counter was incorrectly updated for the
same indexes within a chunk. Now, the invalidation counter is updated
only when a chunk is complete and mlx5r_umr_update_xlt() is called.
This ensures that the counter accurately represents the number of pages
invalidated using UMR.

5ed3b0cb3f RDMA/mlx5: Fix mlx5_poll_one() cur_qp update flow
When cur_qp isn't NULL, in order to avoid fetching the QP from
the radix tree again we check if the next cqe QP is identical to
the one we already have.

The bug however is that we are checking if the QP is identical by
checking the QP number inside the CQE against the QP number inside the
mlx5_ib_qp, but that's wrong since the QP number from the CQE is from
FW so it should be matched against mlx5_core_qp which is our FW QP
number.

Otherwise we could use the wrong QP when handling a CQE which could
cause the kernel trace below.

This issue is mainly noticeable over QPs 0 & 1, since for now they are
the only QPs in our driver whereas the QP number inside mlx5_ib_qp
doesn't match the QP number inside mlx5_core_qp.

f0c2427412 RDMA/mlx5: Fix page_size variable overflow
Change all variables storing mlx5_umem_mkc_find_best_pgsz() result to
unsigned long to support values larger than 31 and avoid overflow.

For example: If we try to register 4GB of memory that is contiguous in
physical memory, the driver will optimize the page_size and try to use
an mkey with 4GB entity size. The 'unsigned int' page_size variable will
overflow to '0' and we'll hit the WARN_ON() in alloc_cacheable_mr().

24d693cf6c RDMA/mlx5: Fix cache entry update on dereg error
Fix double decrement of 'in_use' counter on push_mkey_locked() failure
while deregistering an MR.
If we fail to return an mkey to the cache in cache_ent_find_and_store()
it'll update the 'in_use' counter. Its caller, revoke_mr(), also updates
it, thus having double decrement.

Wrong value of 'in_use' counter will be exposed through debugfs and can
also cause wrong resizing of the cache when users try to set cache
entry size using the 'size' debugfs.

To address this issue, the 'in_use' counter is now decremented within
mlx5_revoke_mr() also after a successful call to
cache_ent_find_and_store() and not within cache_ent_find_and_store().
Other success or failure flows remains unchanged where it was also
decremented.

fd24c9ef6c RDMA/mlx5: Support optional-counters binding for QPs
Add support to allow optional-counters binding to a QP, whereas when
a bind operation is requested depending on the counter optional-counter
binding state the driver will determine if to also add optional-counters
to this QP binding.

The optional-counter binding is done by simply adding a steering
rule for the specific optional-counter condition with the additional
match over that QP number.

Note that optional-counters per QP rules are handled on an earlier prio
than per device counters, and per device counter correctness is maintained
by core whereas it is responsible to sum active counters when checking device

556f93b90c RDMA/mlx5: Handle errors returned from mlx5r_ib_rate()
In function create_ib_ah() the following line attempts
to left shift the return value of mlx5r_ib_rate() by 4
and store it in the stat_rate_sl member of av:

However the code overlooks the fact that mlx5r_ib_rate()
may return -EINVAL if the rate passed to it is less than
IB_RATE_2_5_GBPS or greater than IB_RATE_800_GBPS.

Because of this, the code may invoke undefined behaviour when
shifting a signed negative value when doing "-EINVAL << 4".

To fix this check for errors before assigning stat_rate_sl and
propagate any error value to the callers.

3745242ad1 RDMA/mlx5: Reorder capability check last
capable() calls refer to enabled LSMs whether to permit or deny the
request. This is relevant in connection with SELinux, where a
capability check results in a policy decision and by default a denial
message on insufficient permission is issued.
It can lead to three undesired cases:
  1. A denial message is generated, even in case the operation was an
     unprivileged one and thus the syscall succeeded, creating noise.
  2. To avoid the noise from 1. the policy writer adds a rule to ignore
     those denial messages, hiding future syscalls, where the task
     performs an actual privileged operation, leading to hidden limited
     functionality of that task.
  3. To avoid the noise from 1. the policy writer adds a rule to permit
     the task the requested capability, while it does not need it,
     violating the principle of least privilege.

Now that the crc32c() library function directly takes advantage of

Note that for crc32c the equivalent of crypto_shash_digest() is
cpu_to_le32(~crc32c(~0, ...)), considering that crypto_shash_digest()
had before and inversions as well as a cpu_to_le32() built-in. This
means that this driver is using u32 for fixed-endian types; this patch
does not try to fix that but rather just keep the exact same behavior.

9747c0c779 RDMA/hns: Fix mbox timing out by adding retry mechanism
If a QP is modified to error state and a flush CQE process is triggered,
the subsequent QP destruction mbox can still be successfully posted but
will be blocked in HW until the flush CQE process finishes. This causes
further mbox posting timeouts in driver. The blocking time is related
to QP depth. Considering an extreme case where SQ depth and RQ depth
are both 32K, the blocking time can reach about 135ms.

This patch adds a retry mechanism for mbox posting. For each try, FW
waits 15ms for HW to complete the previous mbox, otherwise return a
timeout error code to driver. Counting other time consumption in FW,

abc7b3f1f0 RDMA/mlx5: Fix a WARN during dereg_mr for DM type
Memory regions (MR) of type DM (device memory) do not have an associated

In the __mlx5_ib_dereg_mr() -> mlx5_free_priv_descs() flow, the code
incorrectly takes the wrong branch, attempting to call
dma_unmap_single() on a DMA address that is not mapped.

This results in a WARN [1], as shown below.

The issue is resolved by properly accounting for the DM type and
ensuring the correct branch is selected in mlx5_free_priv_descs().

cc668a11e6 RDMA/mlx5: Fix a race for DMABUF MR which can lead to CQE with error
This patch addresses a potential race condition for a DMABUF MR that can
result in a CQE with an error on the UMR QP.

During the __mlx5_ib_dereg_mr() flow, the following sequence of calls
occurs:
mlx5_revoke_mr()
mlx5r_umr_revoke_mr()
mlx5r_umr_post_send_wait()
At this point, the lkey is freed from the hardware's perspective.

However, concurrently, mlx5_ib_dmabuf_invalidate_cb() might be triggered
by another task attempting to invalidate the MR having that freed lkey.

Since the lkey has already been freed, this can lead to a CQE error,
causing the UMR QP to enter an error state.

To resolve this race condition, the dma_resv_lock() which was hold as
part of the mlx5_ib_dmabuf_invalidate_cb() is now also acquired as part
of the mlx5_revoke_mr() scope.

Upon a successful revoke, we set umem_dmabuf->private which points to
that MR to NULL, preventing any further invalidation attempts on its
lkey.

d97505baea RDMA/mlx5: Fix the recovery flow of the UMR QP
This patch addresses an issue in the recovery flow of the UMR QP,
ensuring tasks do not get stuck, as highlighted by the call trace [1].

During recovery, before transitioning the QP to the RESET state, the
software must wait for all outstanding WRs to complete.

Failing to do so can cause the firmware to skip sending some flushed
CQEs with errors and simply discard them upon the RESET, as per the IB
specification.

This race condition can result in lost CQEs and tasks becoming stuck.

To resolve this, the patch sends a final WR which serves only as a
barrier before moving the QP state to RESET.

Once a CQE is received for that final WR, it guarantees that no
outstanding WRs remain, making it safe to transition the QP to RESET and
subsequently back to RTS, restoring proper functionality.

Note:
For the barrier WR, we simply reuse the failed and ready WR.
Since the QP is in an error state, it will only receive
IB_WC_WR_FLUSH_ERR. However, as it serves only as a barrier we don't
care about its status.

Prevent double queueing of implicit ODP mr destroy work by using
__xa_cmpxchg() to make sure this is the only time we are destroying this

Without this change, we could try to invalidate this mr twice, which in

abb604a1a9 RDMA/mlx5: Fix a race for an ODP MR which leads to CQE with error
This patch addresses a race condition for an ODP MR that can result in a
CQE with an error on the UMR QP.

During the __mlx5_ib_dereg_mr() flow, the following sequence of calls
occurs:

mlx5_revoke_mr()
 mlx5r_umr_revoke_mr()
 mlx5r_umr_post_send_wait()

At this point, the lkey is freed from the hardware's perspective.

However, concurrently, mlx5_ib_invalidate_range() might be triggered by
another task attempting to invalidate a range for the same freed lkey.

This task will:
 - Acquire the umem_odp->umem_mutex lock.
 - Call mlx5r_umr_update_xlt() on the UMR QP.
 - Since the lkey has already been freed, this can lead to a CQE error,
   causing the UMR QP to enter an error state [1].

To resolve this race condition, the umem_odp->umem_mutex lock is now also
acquired as part of the mlx5_revoke_mr() scope. Upon successful revoke,
we set umem_odp->private which points to that MR to NULL, preventing any
further invalidation attempts on its lkey.

42e6ddda4c RDMA/cxgb4: Notify rdma stack for IB_EVENT_QP_LAST_WQE_REACHED event
This patch sends IB_EVENT_QP_LAST_WQE_REACHED event on a QP that is in
error state and associated with an SRQ. This behaviour is incorporated
in flush_qp() which is called when QP transitions to error state.
Supports SRQ drain functionality added by commit 844bc12e6d ("IB/core:

235f238402 RDMA/mlx5: Fix indirect mkey ODP page count
Restrict the check for the number of pages handled during an ODP page
fault to direct mkeys.
Perform the check right after handling the page fault and don't
propagate the number of handled pages to callers.

Indirect mkeys and their associated direct mkeys can have different
start addresses. As a result, the calculation of the number of pages to
handle for an indirect mkey may not match the actual page fault
handling done on the direct mkey.

For example:
A 4K sized page fault on a KSM mkey that has a start address that is not
aligned to a page will result a calculation that assumes the number of
pages required to handle are 2.
While the underlying MTT might be aligned will require fetching only a
single page.
Thus, do the calculation and compare number of pages handled only per
direct mkey.

95f68e06b4 net/mlx5: fs, add counter object to flow destination
Currently mlx5_flow_destination includes counter_id which is assigned in
case we use flow counter on the flow steering rule. However, counter_id
is not enough data in case of using HW Steering. Thus, have mlx5_fc
object as part of mlx5_flow_destination instead of counter_id and assign
it where needed.

In case counter_id is received from user space, create a local counter
object to represent it.
