326e30e462 drm/i915: Drop dead code for pvc
PCI IDs for PVC were never added and platform always marked with
force_probe. Drop what's not used and rename some places as needed.

The registers not used anymore are also removed.

PCI IDs for XEHPSDV were never added and platform always marked with
force_probe. Drop what's not used and rename some places to either be
xehp or dg2, depending on the platform/IP checks.

The registers not used anymore are also removed.

86ceaaaec5 drm/i915/gem: Atomically invalidate userptr on mmu-notifier
Never block for outstanding work on userptr object upon receipt of a
mmu-notifier. The reason we originally did so was to immediately unbind
the userptr and unpin its pages, but since that has been dropped in
commit b4b9731b02 ("drm/i915: Simplify userptr locking"), we never
return the pages to the system i.e. never drop our page->mapcount and so
do not allow the page and CPU PTE to be revoked. Based on this history,
we know we are safe to drop the wait entirely.

Upon return from mmu-notifier, we will still have the userptr pages
pinned preventing the following PTE operation (such as try_to_unmap)
adjusting the vm_area_struct, so it is safe to keep the pages around for
as long as we still have i/o pending.

We do not have any means currently to asynchronously revalidate the
userptr pages, that is always prior to next use.

10184a8a7f drm/i915/lnl: Extend C10/C20 phy
For Lunar Lake, DDI-A is connected to C10 PHY, while TC1-TC3 are connected
to C20 phy, like in Meteor Lake. Update the check in intel_is_c10phy()
accordingly.

This reverts the change in commit e388ae97e2 ("drm/i915/display:
Eliminate IS_METEORLAKE checks") that turned that into a display engine
version check. The phy <-> port connection is very SoC-specific and not
related to that version.

IS_LUNARLAKE() is defined to 0 in i915 as it's expected that the
(upcoming) xe driver is the one defining the platform, with i915 only
driving the display side.

9c303439c4 drm/i915: Clarify type evolution of uabi_node/uabi_engines
Chaining user engines happens in multiple passes during driver
initialization, mutating its type along the way. It starts off with a
simple lock-less linked list (struct llist_node/head) populated by
intel_engine_add_user() which later gets sorted and converted to an
intermediate regular list (struct list_head) just to be converted once
more to its final rb-tree structure (struct rb_node/root) in
intel_engines_driver_register().

All of these types overlay the uabi_node/uabi_engines members which is
unfortunate but safe if one takes care about using the rb-tree based
structure only after the conversion has completed. However, mistakes
happen and commit 1ec23ed712 ("drm/i915: Use uabi engines for the
default engine map") violated that assumption, as the multiple type
evolution was all to easy hidden behind casts papering over it.

Make the type evolution of uabi_node/uabi_engines more visible by
putting all members into an anonymous union and use the correctly typed
member in its various users. This allows us to drop quite some ugly
casts and, hopefully, make the evolution of the members better
recognisable to avoid future mistakes.

logic and apply the same workarounds.  IS_MTL_DISPLAY_STEP() is dropped
in favor of a new macro IS_DISPLAY_IP_STEP() that only checks the
display IP version.

2e3c369f23 drm/i915/mtl: Eliminate subplatforms
Now that we properly match the Xe_LPG IP versions associated with
various workarounds, there's no longer any need to define separate MTL
subplatform in the driver.  Nothing in the code is conditional on MTL-M
or MTL-P base platforms.  Furthermore, I'm not sure the "M" and "P"
designations are even an accurate representation of which specific
platforms would have which IP versions; those were mostly just
placeholders from a long time ago.  The reality is that the IP version
present on a platform gets read from a fuse register at driver init; we
shouldn't be trying to guess which IP is present based on PCI ID
anymore.

5a213086a0 drm/i915: Eliminate IS_MTL_GRAPHICS_STEP
Several workarounds are guarded by IS_MTL_GRAPHICS_STEP.  However none
of these workarounds are actually tied to MTL as a platform; they only
relate to the Xe_LPG graphics IP, regardless of what platform it appears
in.  At the moment MTL is the only platform that uses Xe_LPG with IP
versions 12.70 and 12.71, but we can't count on this being true in the
future.  Switch these to use a new IS_GFX_GT_IP_STEP() macro instead
that is purely based on IP version.  IS_GFX_GT_IP_STEP() is also
GT-based rather than device-based, which will help prevent mistakes
where we accidentally try to apply Xe_LPG graphics workarounds to the
Xe_LPM+ media GT and vice-versa.

4ebf43d048 drm/i915: Eliminate has_4tile feature flag
We don't really need a feature flag for has_4tile since there's a
well-defined cutover point (DG2) at which all new platforms started
using Tile4 as their Y-major tiling layout.  The GT side of the code
already handles Tile4 vs legacy TileY with checks on the IP version
rather than looking at the feature flag, and we can simplify the display
code similarly (which will also make it more self-contained for re-use
in the Xe driver).

c951778306 drm/i915/dg2: Drop Wa_16011777198
Wa_16011777198 only applies to pre-production steppings of DG2, which
we're no longer supporting.  Remove the workaround and override_gucrc
handling, which is no longer needed.  Since this was the final use of
IS_DG2_GRAPHICS_STEP, that macro can also be removed now.

All production DG2 cards have display stepping C0 or later.  We can drop
Wa_14013215631 (only applies to pre-C0) and make Wa_14010547955
unconditional (applies to everything B0 and beyond).  Also drop the
now-unused IS_DG2_DISPLAY_STEP macro.

848a4e5c09 drm/i915: add a dedicated workqueue inside drm_i915_private
In order to avoid flush_scheduled_work() usage, add a dedicated
workqueue in the drm_i915_private structure.  In this way, we don't
need to use the system queue anymore.

This change is mostly mechanical and based on Tetsuo's original
patch[1].

5af5169d75 drm/i915: Convert INTEL_INFO()->display to a pointer
Rather than embeddeding the display's device info within the main device
info structure, just provide a pointer to the display-specific
structure.  This is in preparation for moving the display device info
definitions into the display code itself and for eventually allowing the
pointer to be assigned at runtime on platforms that use GMD_ID for
device identification.

In the future, this will also eventually allow the same display device
info structures to be used outside the current i915 code (e.g., from the
Xe driver).

446a20c9ba drm/i915: hide mkwrite_device_info() better
The goal has been to just make device info a pointer to static const
data, i.e. the static const structs in i915_pci.c. See [1]. However,
there were issues with intel_device_info_runtime_init() clearing the
display sub-struct of device info on the !HAS_DISPLAY() path, which
consequently disables a lot of display functionality, like it
should. Looks like we'd have to cover all those paths, and maybe
sprinkle HAS_DISPLAY() checks in them, which we haven't gotten around
to.

In the mean time, hide mkwrite_device_info() better within
intel_device_info.c by adding a intel_device_info_driver_create() for
the very early initialization of the device info and initial runtime
info. This also lets us declutter i915_drv.h a bit, and stops promoting
mkwrite_device_info() as something that could be used.

eda94a6e6a drm/i915/mtl: Correct implementation of Wa_18018781329
Workaround Wa_18018781329 has applied to several recent Xe_HP-based
platforms.  However there are some extra gotchas to implementing this
properly for MTL that we need to take into account:

 * Due to the separation of media and render/compute into separate GTs,
   this workaround needs to be implemented on each GT, not just the
   primary GT.  Since each class of register only exists on one of the
   two GTs, we should program the appropriate registers on each GT.

 * As with past Xe_HP platforms, the registers on the primary GT (Xe_LPG
   IP) are multicast/replicated registers and should be handled with the
   MCR-aware functions.  However the registers on the media GT (Xe_LPM+
   IP) are regular singleton registers and should _not_ use MCR
   handling.  We need to create separate register definitions for the
   Xe_HP multicast form and the Xe_LPM+ singleton form and use each in
   the appropriate place.

 * Starting with MTL, workarounds documented by the hardware teams are
   technically associated with IP versions/steppings rather than
   top-level platforms.  That means we should take care to check the
   media IP version rather than the graphics IP version when deciding
   whether the workaround is needed on the Xe_LPM+ media GT (in this
   case the workaround applies to both IPs and the stepping bounds are
   identical, but we should still write the code appropriately to set a
   proper precedent for future workaround implementations).

 * It's worth noting that the GSC register and the CCS register are
   defined with the same MMIO offset (0xCF30).  Since the CCS is only
   relevant to the primary GT and the GSC is only relevant to the media
   GT there isn't actually a clash here (the media GT automatically adds
   the additional 0x380000 GSI offset).  However there's currently a
   glitch in the bspec where the CCS register doesn't show up at all and
   the GSC register is listed as existing on both GTs.  That's a known
   documentation problem for several registers with shared GSC/CCS
   offsets; rest assured that the CCS register really does still exist.

acc855d301 drm/i915/display: add intel_display_limits.h for key enums
Move a handful of key enums to a new file intel_display_limits.h. These
are the enum types, and the MAX/NUM enumerations within them, that are
used in other headers. Otherwise, there's no common theme between them.

Replace intel_display.h include with intel_display_limit.h where
relevant, and add the intel_display.h include directly in the .c files
where needed.

Since intel_display.h is used almost everywhere in display/, include it
from intel_display_types.h to avoid massive changes across the
board. There are very few files that would need intel_display_types.h
but not intel_display.h so this is neglible, and further cleanup between
these headers can be left for the future.

Overall this change drops the direct and indirect dependencies on
intel_display.h from about 300 to about 100 compilation units, because
we can drop the include from i915_drv.h.

f67986b011 drm/i915/pxp: Promote pxp subsystem to top-level of i915
Starting with MTL, there will be two GT-tiles, a render and media
tile. PXP as a service for supporting workloads with protected
contexts and protected buffers can be subscribed by process
workloads on any tile. However, depending on the platform,
only one of the tiles is used for control events pertaining to PXP
operation (such as creating the arbitration session and session
tear-down).

PXP as a global feature is accessible via batch buffer instructions
on any engine/tile and the coherency across tiles is handled implicitly
by the HW. In fact, for the foreseeable future, we are expecting this
single-control-tile for the PXP subsystem.

In MTL, it's the standalone media tile (not the root tile) because
it contains the VDBOX and KCR engine (among the assets PXP relies on
for those events).

Looking at the current code design, each tile is represented by the
intel_gt structure while the intel_pxp structure currently hangs off the
intel_gt structure.

Keeping the intel_pxp structure within the intel_gt structure makes some
internal functionalities more straight forward but adds code complexity to
code readability and maintainibility to many external-to-pxp subsystems
which may need to pick the correct intel_gt structure. An example of this
would be the intel_pxp_is_active or intel_pxp_is_enabled functionality
which should be viewed as a global level inquiry, not a per-gt inquiry.

That said, this series promotes the intel_pxp structure into the
drm_i915_private structure making it a top-level subsystem and the PXP
subsystem will select the control gt internally and keep a pointer to
it for internal reference.

This promotion comes with two noteworthy changes:

1. Exported pxp functions that are called by external subsystems
   (such as intel_pxp_enabled/active) will have to check implicitly
   if i915->pxp is valid as that structure will not be allocated
   for HW that doesn't support PXP.

2. Since GT is now considered a soft-dependency of PXP we are
   ensuring that GT init happens before PXP init and vice versa
   for fini. This causes a minor ordering change whereby we previously
   called intel_pxp_suspend after intel_uc_suspend but now is before
   i915_gem_suspend_late but the change is required for correct
   dependency flows. Additionally, this re-order change doesn't
   have any impact because at that point in either case, the top level
   entry to i915 won't observe any PXP events (since the GPU was
   quiesced during suspend_prepare). Also, any PXP event doesn't
   really matter when we disable the PXP HW (global GT irqs are
   already off anyway, so even if there was a bug that generated
   spurious events we wouldn't see it and we would just clean it
   up on resume which is okay since the default fallback action
   for PXP would be to keep the sessions off at this suspend stage).

Changes from prior revs:

       - Fix two remaining functions that are accessible outside
         PXP that need to be checking pxp ptrs before using them:
         intel_pxp_irq_handler and intel_pxp_huc_load_and_auth
         (Tvrtko and Daniele).

ee71434eeb drm/i915/mtl: Handle wopcm per-GT and limit calculations.
With MTL standalone media architecture the wopcm layout has changed,
with separate partitioning in WOPCM for the root GT GuC and the media
GT GuC. The size of WOPCM is 4MB with the lower 2MB reserved for the
media GT and the upper 2MB for the root GT.

Given that MTL has GuC deprivilege, the WOPCM registers are pre-locked
by the bios. Therefore, we can skip all the math for the partitioning
and just limit ourselves to sanity-checking the values.
