e1ef035d27 ARM: SoC defconfig updates
Most changes here are to enable new drivers and platforms in the various
configs that affect them. Most of these have been covered and described
in the other branches, we mostly keep defconfig separate to avoid
conflicts between SoC/dt/driver updates that they otherwise would be
 grouped with.

One thing worth mentioning here is that OMAP changes from using their
own UART driver, to 8250, for the multi_v7_defconfig shared config on
32-bit. This means that the console is now named ttyS* instead of ttyO*.
This change was already done for omap2_defconfig a while back, so most
users of these configs have either already updated, or can easily follow
the same patterns as they did at that time. This makes platform support
slightly easier for distros, since they no longer need to keep track of
a separate console prefix for these platforms.

We've had 8250_OMAP working for few years now, so let's start enabling
it by default. We provide users an option to warn by default with
SERIAL_8250_OMAP_TTYO_FIXUP by default. That option updates the serial
console to point to 8250 driver and warns about it.

Users with ttyO[0123] in their /etc/inittab should update inittab

25ea8207ab ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Enable droid 4 devices
We only need to have MFD_CPCAP and CPCAP_REGULATOR as built-in to
be able to mount root on the eMMC. And then POWER_RESET_GPIO
is good to have built-in. The rest of the devices can be loadable
modules.

This gets various devices such as regulators, touchscreen, power

e3b1f64e04 ARM: SoC defconfig updates for v4.6
As usual, a bunch of commits, mostly adding drivers and other options to
 defconfigs.

The realview_smp_defconfig and realview_defconfig got merged into one,
so we are now down to 110 files.

For stm32, we have now added a Kconfig fragment, the first such
file on arch/arm. The purpose here is to have a shared defconfig
file that works for all boards, while the DRAM offset has to be
hardwired on NOMMU machines at compile time.

The Exynos defconfig changes depend on changes in the RTC tree,
so this is pulled in here, but has already been merged into 4.6 now.

ea00ab5ba6 ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Enable ISP support and dependencies
The OMAP3 SoC has a Image Signal Processor (ISP) that's used to accelerate
camera images processing. The ISP driver implements V4L2, Media Controller
and V4L2 sub-dev interfaces so enable support for the driver and all these
dependencies to allow video capture to be tested using this HW IP block.

Also, disable the I2C ancillary drivers auto-select option since the media
driver does not auto-select the ancillary devices that are attached to the
bridge because this depends on what's present in the supported OMAP boards.

CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_SPLIT will split debug info on
.dwo files. This will generate a smaller vmlinux and
smaller .ko modules, which will be easier to ship on
certain products.

CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_DWARF4 will generate debug info in
DWARF4 format, which ends up being larger, but
improves the probability of resolving variables in
optmized code.

2ad501cc1d ARM: omap2: fix am43xx dependency on l2x0 cache
Commit d941f86fad ("ARM: l2c: AM43x: add L2 cache support") enabled
the L2 cache support for the am43xx SoC, but caused a build regression
when the driver for that cache controller is disabled:

arch/arm/mach-omap2/built-in.o: In function `am43xx_init_early':
:(.init.text+0xb20): undefined reference to `omap_l2_cache_init'

This did not happen for OMAP4, which has the same call, but enables
the l2x0 driver unconditionally. We could do the same thing for
am43xx, but it seems better to allow turning it off and make the
code work in either case.

This adds an inline wrapper for omap_l2_cache_init for the disabled
case, and removes the 'select' from OMAP4 so it becomes a user
visible option.

e5c4ecdc55 USB driver patches for 3.16-rc1
Here is the big USB driver pull request for 3.16-rc1.

Nothing huge here, but lots of little things in the USB core, and in
lots of drivers. Hopefully the USB power management will be work better
now that it has been reworked to do per-port power control dynamically.
There's also a raft of gadget driver updates and fixes, CONFIG_USB_DEBUG
is finally gone now that everything has been converted over to the
dynamic debug inteface, the last hold-out drivers were cleaned up and
the config option removed. There were also other minor things all
through the drivers/usb/ tree, the shortlog shows this pretty well.

All have been in linux-next, including the very last patch, which came
from linux-next to fix a build issue on some platforms.

c1be2032f6 ARM: dts: Enable N900 keyboard sleep leds by default
On N900 there are nice LEDs that show the state of the
sys_clkreq and sys_off_mode pins.

These LEDs go low when the system enters deeper idle
states. The left LED shows the state of the sys_clkreq
pin, and goes off during retention idle. The right LED
shows the state of sys_off_mode pin and both go off
during off idle.

As N900 is a battery operated device, these LEDs should
be off most of the time. So let's enable them by default
so we can make sure the system is mostly idle.

This allows the maintainers to also immediately test
patches for PM regressions by looking at the LEDs,
which certainly makes my life easier.

The LED can naturally be disabled during runtime with:

# echo none > /sys/class/leds/debug::sleep/trigger

Note that we don't currently have support for omap3
errata 1.158 that remuxes GPIO pins to INPUT_PULLUP |
MUX_MODE7 for the duration of idle. This means that the
GPIO pins set high will go down during off idle. In this
case it does not matter as the sys_off_mode goes down
too, but there's still a slim chance of false off idle
LED signals. If in doubt, false LED signals can be
verified by the sys_off_mode or vdd_core values.

Also note that to allow the UARTs to autoidle, the
following needs to be run on N900 to enable off idle:

#!/bin/sh
uarts=$(find /sys/class/tty/ttyO*/device/power/ -type d)
for uart in $uarts; do
	echo 3000 > $uart/autosuspend_delay_ms
done

uarts=$(find /sys/class/tty/ttyO*/power/ -type d)
for uart in $uarts; do
	echo enabled > $uart/wakeup
	echo auto > $uart/control
done

echo 1 > /sys/kernel/debug/pm_debug/enable_off_mode

For retention idle, change the above to set 0 to
enable_off_mode.

Also note that without the twl4030 PM scripts the actual
voltage scaling won't happen for off idle so we only get
voltage scaling over I2C4 for retention idle. I'll do
some device tree patches for those also a bit later on.

b4b50fd78b ARM: SoC platform changes for 3.12
This branch contains mostly additions and changes to platform enablement
and SoC-level drivers. Since there's sometimes a dependency on device-tree
changes, there's also a fair amount of those in this branch.

 Pieces worth mentioning are:

 - Mbus driver for Marvell platforms, allowing kernel configuration
and resource allocation of on-chip peripherals.
 - Enablement of the mbus infrastructure from Marvell PCI-e drivers.
 - Preparation of MSI support for Marvell platforms.
 - Addition of new PCI-e host controller driver for Tegra platforms
 - Some churn caused by sharing of macro names between i.MX 6Q and 6DL
platforms in the device tree sources and header files.
 - Various suspend/PM updates for Tegra, including LP1 support.
 - Versatile Express support for MCPM, part of big little support.
 - Allwinner platform support for A20 and A31 SoCs (dual and quad Cortex-A7)
 - OMAP2+ support for DRA7, a new Cortex-A15-based SoC.

The code that touches other architectures are patches moving
MSI arch-specific functions over to weak symbols and removal of
 ARCH_SUPPORTS_MSI, acked by PCI maintainers.

"I've got this pull request separate from the main fbdev pull request,
as this contains a bunch of OMAP board file changes and thus could
possibly be rejected in case of bad conflicts.

The removal of the old display drivers depend on the board file
changes, so Tony Lindgren suggested taking them together via fbdev
tree. These are in linux-next, and also Tony didn't see any conflicts
with any of the branches he had, so they should go in clean.

Linus Torvalds
496322bc91 Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/net-next
Pull networking updates from David Miller:
"This is a re-do of the net-next pull request for the current merge
window. The only difference from the one I made the other day is that
this has Eliezer's interface renames and the timeout handling changes
made based upon your feedback, as well as a few bug fixes that have
  trickeled in.

  Highlights:

   1) Low latency device polling, eliminating the cost of interrupt
handling and context switches. Allows direct polling of a network
device from socket operations, such as recvmsg() and poll().

Currently ixgbe, mlx4, and bnx2x support this feature.

Full high level description, performance numbers, and design in
      commit 0a4db187a9 ("Merge branch 'll_poll'")

      From Eliezer Tamir.

   2) With the routing cache removed, ip_check_mc_rcu() gets exercised
more than ever before in the case where we have lots of multicast
addresses. Use a hash table instead of a simple linked list, from
      Eric Dumazet.

   3) Add driver for Atheros CQA98xx 802.11ac wireless devices, from
Bartosz Markowski, Janusz Dziedzic, Kalle Valo, Marek Kwaczynski,
Marek Puzyniak, Michal Kazior, and Sujith Manoharan.

   4) Support reporting the TUN device persist flag to userspace, from
      Pavel Emelyanov.

   5) Allow controlling network device VF link state using netlink, from
      Rony Efraim.

   6) Support GRE tunneling in openvswitch, from Pravin B Shelar.

   7) Adjust SOCK_MIN_RCVBUF and SOCK_MIN_SNDBUF for modern times, from
      Daniel Borkmann and Eric Dumazet.

   8) Allow controlling of TCP quickack behavior on a per-route basis,
      from Cong Wang.

   9) Several bug fixes and improvements to vxlan from Stephen
Hemminger, Pravin B Shelar, and Mike Rapoport. In particular,
support receiving on multiple UDP ports.

  10) Major cleanups, particular in the area of debugging and cookie
lifetime handline, to the SCTP protocol code. From Daniel
      Borkmann.

  11) Allow packets to cross network namespaces when traversing tunnel
      devices. From Nicolas Dichtel.

  12) Allow monitoring netlink traffic via AF_PACKET sockets, in a
manner akin to how we monitor real network traffic via ptype_all.
      From Daniel Borkmann.

  13) Several bug fixes and improvements for the new alx device driver,
      from Johannes Berg.

  14) Fix scalability issues in the netem packet scheduler's time queue,
by using an rbtree. From Eric Dumazet.

  15) Several bug fixes in TCP loss recovery handling, from Yuchung
      Cheng.

  16) Add support for GSO segmentation of MPLS packets, from Simon
      Horman.

  17) Make network notifiers have a real data type for the opaque
pointer that's passed into them. Use this to properly handle
network device flag changes in arp_netdev_event(). From Jiri
      Pirko and Timo Teräs.

  18) Convert several drivers over to module_pci_driver(), from Peter
      Huewe.

  19) tcp_fixup_rcvbuf() can loop 500 times over loopback, just use a
O(1) calculation instead. From Eric Dumazet.

  20) Support setting of explicit tunnel peer addresses in ipv6, just
      like ipv4. From Nicolas Dichtel.

  21) Protect x86 BPF JIT against spraying attacks, from Eric Dumazet.

  22) Prevent a single high rate flow from overruning an individual cpu
during RX packet processing via selective flow shedding. From
      Willem de Bruijn.

  23) Don't use spinlocks in TCP md5 signing fast paths, from Eric
      Dumazet.

  24) Don't just drop GSO packets which are above the TBF scheduler's
burst limit, chop them up so they are in-bounds instead. Also
      from Eric Dumazet.

  25) VLAN offloads are missed when configured on top of a bridge, fix
      from Vlad Yasevich.

  26) Support IPV6 in ping sockets. From Lorenzo Colitti.

  27) Receive flow steering targets should be updated at poll() time
      too, from David Majnemer.

  28) Fix several corner case regressions in PMTU/redirect handling due
to the routing cache removal, from Timo Teräs.

  29) We have to be mindful of ipv4 mapped ipv6 sockets in
      upd_v6_push_pending_frames().  From Hannes Frederic Sowa.

  30) Fix L2TP sequence number handling bugs, from James Chapman."

45853507c9 ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: enable USB_PHY and NOP_USB_XCEIV
On OMAP2+ platforms, USB support needs physical layer signalling and
the NOP USB Transceiver driver since v3.10. This patch enables USB_PHY
and NOP_USB_XCEIV in omap2plus_defconfig. These two are harmless to
the kernel stability, and useful since they are required for USB and
Ethernet (over USB) support.

We do not enable USB_EHCI_HCD here because all features aren't fully
supported yet.

This patch applies to Linux 3.10-rc3.

6bc19fb82d Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/net
Merge 'net' bug fixes into 'net-next' as we have patches
that will build on top of them.

This merge commit includes a change from Emil Goode
(emilgoode@gmail.com) that fixes a warning that would
have been introduced by this merge. Specifically it
fixes the pingv6_ops method ipv6_chk_addr() to add a
"const" to the "struct net_device *dev" argument and
likewise update the dummy_ipv6_chk_addr() declaration.

00cec111ac ARM: SoC fixes for 3.10-rc
We didn't have any fixes sent up for -rc2, so this is a slightly larger
batch. A bit all over the place platform-wise; OMAP, at91, marvell,
 renesas, sunxi, ux500, etc.

I tried to summarize highlights but there isn't a whole lot to point
out. Lots of little things fixed all over. A couple of defconfig updates
 due to new/changing options.
