Specific constrain in if:then: blocks for variable lists, like clocks
and clock-names, should have a fixed upper and lower size. Older
dtschema implied minItems, but that's not true since 2024 and missing
minItems means that lower bound is not set.

We see the addition of eleven new SoCs, including a total of sixx arm64
chips from Qualcomm alone. Overall, the Qualcomm platforms once again
make up the majority of all changes, after a couple of quieter releases.
The new SoCs in this branch are:
- Microchip sama7d65 is a new 32-bit embedded chip with a single
Cortex-A7 and the current high end of the old Atmel SoC line.
- Samsung Exynos 9810 is a mobile phone chip used in some older
phones like the Samsung Galaxy S9
- Renesas R-Car V4H ES3.0 (R8A779G3) is an updated version of
the V4H (R8A779G0) low-power automotive SoC
- Renesas RZ/G3E (R0A09G047) is a family of embedded chips
using Cortex-A55 cores
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (SM8750) is a new phone chip based on
Qualcomm's Oryon CPU cores.
- Qualcomm Snapdragon AR2 (SAR2130P) is a SoC for augmented reality
glasses.
- Qualcomm IQ6 (QCS610) and IQ8 (QCS8300) are two industrial
IOT platforms.
- Snapdragon 425 (MSM8917) is a mobile phone SoC from 2016
- Qualcomm IPQ5424 is a Wi-Fi 7 networking chip
All of the above are part of already supported SoC families that
only need new devicetree files. Two additional SoCs in new
families are part of a separate branch.
There are 48 new machines in total, including six arm32 ones based
on aspeed. broadcom, microchip and st SoCs all using Cortex-A7 cores,
and a single risc-v board, the Banana Pi R3.
The remaining ones use arm64 chips from Broadcom, Samsung, NXP, Mediatek,
Qualcomm, Renesas and Rockchips and cover development boards, phones,
laptops, industrial machines routers.
A lot of ongoing work is for cleaning up build time warnings and other
issues, in addition to the new machines and added features.

There are 48 new machines in total, including six arm32 ones based on
aspeed. broadcom, microchip and st SoCs all using Cortex-A7 cores, and
a single risc-v board, the Banana Pi R3.
The remaining ones use arm64 chips from Broadcom, Samsung, NXP,
Mediatek, Qualcomm, Renesas and Rockchips and cover development
boards, phones, laptops, industrial machines routers.
A lot of ongoing work is for cleaning up build time warnings and other
issues, in addition to the new machines and added features"

Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie:
"There are two external interactions of note, the msm tree pull in some
opp tree, hopefully the opp tree arrives from the same git tree
however it normally does.
There is also a new cgroup controller for device memory, that is used
by drm, so is merging through my tree. This will hopefully help open
up gpu cgroup usage a bit more and move us forward.
There is a new accelerator driver for the AMD XDNA Ryzen AI NPUs.

aligned with opening '- |', so correct any differences like 3-spaces or
mixtures 2- and 4-spaces in one binding.
No functional changes here, but saves some comments during reviews of

The MediaTek DP hardware supports audio and exposes a DAI, so the
'#sound-dai-cells' property is needed for describing the DAI links.
Reference the dai-common.yaml schema to allow '#sound-dai-cells' to be
used, and filter out non-DP compatibles as MediaTek eDP in the same
binding doesn't support audio.
This fixes dtbs_check error:

The DP subsystem for ZynqMP supports audio via two channels, and the DP
DMA has dma-engines for those channels. For some reason the DT binding
has not specified those channels, even if the picture included in
xlnx,zynqmp-dpsub.yaml shows "2 x aud" DMAs.
This hasn't caused any issues as the drivers have not supported audio,
and has thus gone unnoticed.
To make it possible to add the audio support to the driver, add the two
audio DMAs to the binding. While strictly speaking this is an ABI break,
there should be no regressions caused by this as we're adding new
entries at the end of the dmas list, and, after the audio support has
been added in "arm64: dts: zynqmp: Add DMA for DP audio", the driver
will treat the audio DMAs as optional to also support the old bindings.

of the bindings, as each conditional part defines the number of required
ports already. This came up with r8a779h0 as it's the first one that has
only one port.

The display node in mt8195.dtsi was triggering a CHECK_DTBS error due
to an excessively long 'clocks' property:

The MediaTek DPI module is typically associated with one of the
following multimedia power domains:
- POWER_DOMAIN_DISPLAY
- POWER_DOMAIN_VDOSYS
- POWER_DOMAIN_MM
The specific power domain used varies depending on the SoC design.
These power domains are shared by multiple devices within the SoC.
In most cases, these power domains are enabled by other devices.
As a result, the DPI module of legacy SoCs often functions correctly
even without explicit configuration.
It is recommended to explicitly add the appropriate power domain
property to the DPI node in the device tree. Hence drop the
compatible checking for specific SoCs.

The display IPs in MediaTek SoCs support being interconnected with
different instances of DDP IPs (for example, merge0 or merge1) and/or
with different DDP IPs (for example, rdma can be connected with either
color, dpi, dsi, merge, etc), forming a full Display Data Path that
ends with an actual display.
The final display pipeline is effectively board specific, as it does
depend on the display that is attached to it, and eventually on the
sensors supported by the board (for example, Adaptive Ambient Light
would need an Ambient Light Sensor, otherwise it's pointless!), other
than the output type.
Add support for OF graphs to most of the MediaTek DDP (display) bindings
to add flexibility to build custom hardware paths, hence enabling board
specific configuration of the display pipeline and allowing to finally
migrate away from using hardcoded paths.
Please note that - while this commit retains retro-compatibility with
old device trees - it will break the ABI for mediatek, dsi and for
mediatek, dpi for the sake of consistency between the `ports` in all
MediaTek DRM drivers versus DRM bridge drivers as in the previous
binding, MediaTek was using `port` (implicitly, port@0) as an OUTPUT,
while now the first port is an INPUT, and the second one is an OUTPUT,
which is consistent with other DRM drivers which can be chained to
drm/mediatek.
As for maintainability concerns, I am aware that the old device tree
will not be actively tested anymore, but retrocompatibility breakages
will *not* be more likely to happen in the future because any addition
to the graph (new drivers) will be done only for features present on
newer SoCs, keeping the old ones (and their default pipeline) untouched.

The WL-355608-A8 is a 3.5" 640x480@60Hz RGB LCD display from an unknown
OEM used in a number of handheld gaming devices made by Anbernic.
Previously committed using the OEM serial without a vendor prefix,
however following subsequent discussion the preference is to use the
integrating device vendor and name where the OEM is unknown.
There are 4 RG35XX series devices from Anbernic based on an Allwinner
H700 SoC using this panel, with the -Plus variant introduced first.
Therefore the -Plus is used as the fallback for the subsequent -H,
-2024, and -SP devices.
Alter the filename and compatible string to reflect the convention.

and transmit swing, and slew rate control
- I2C or pin strap programmable
- Configurable as a DisplayPort redriver through I2C
- Full lane swap on main lanes
- Low power consumption (200 mW at 6Gbps, 8 mW in shutdown)
https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tdp158.pdf
Like the TFP410, the TDP158 can be set up in 2 different ways:
1) hard-coding its configuration settings using pin-strapping resistors
2) placing it on an I2C bus, and defer set-up until run-time
The mode is selected via pin 8 = I2C_EN
I2C_EN high = I2C Control Mode
I2C_EN low = Pin Strap Mode
On our board, I2C_EN is pulled high.

None of the in-kernel DT files ever used edid override with the
fsl-imx-drm driver. In case the EDID needs to be specified manually, DRM
core allows one to either override it via the debugfs or to load it via
request_firmware by using DRM_LOAD_EDID_FIRMWARE. In all other cases
EDID and/or modes are to be provided as a part of the panel driver.
Drop the edid property from the fsl-imx-drm bindings.

The RG28XX panel is a display panel of the Anbernic RG28XX, a handheld
gaming device from Anbernic. It is 2.8 inches in size (diagonally) with
a resolution of 480x640.
This panel is driven by a variant of the ST7701 driver IC internally,
confirmed by dumping and analyzing its BSP initialization sequence
by using a logic analyzer. It is very similar to the existing
densitron,dmt028vghmcmi-1a panel, but differs in some unknown
register values, so add a new entry for the panel to distinguish them.
Additionally, the panel only has an SPI instead of MIPI DSI.
So add and modify for SPI as well.
Although a panel connected via SPI with a D/CX pin theoretically exists,
no such panels have been found for this driver yet. Therefore, disable
the use of the dc-gpios property for all currently known devices.

A single fix for a panel compatible
Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>

Document default DP port preemphasis configurable via new DT property
"toshiba,pre-emphasis". This is useful in case the DP link properties
are known and starting link training from preemphasis setting of 0 dB
is not useful. The preemphasis can be set separately for both DP lanes
in range 0=0dB, 1=3.5dB, 2=6dB .
This is an endpoint property, not a port property, because the TC9595
datasheet does mention that the DP might operate in some sort of split
mode, where each DP lane is used to feed one display, so in that case
there might be two endpoints.

The Samsung ATNA45AF01 panel is an AMOLED eDP panel that has backlight
control over the DP AUX channel. While it works almost correctly with the
generic "edp-panel" compatible, the backlight needs special handling to
work correctly. It is similar to the existing ATNA33XC20 panel, just with
a larger resolution and size.
Add a new "samsung,atna45af01" compatible to describe this panel in the DT.
Use the existing "samsung,atna33xc20" as fallback compatible since existing
drivers should work as-is, given that resolution and size are discoverable
through the eDP link.

The starry-er88577 is a 10.1" WXGA TFT-LCD panel, and the init_code
of the starry-er88577 panel is very similar to the boe-th101mb31ig002
panel, so We will add a new configuration based on
"boe,th101mb31ig002-28a.yaml".
Because the panel used reset gpio before but did not add the definition
of "reset gpio" in binding, reset gpio was added in binding, but since
the starry-er88577 panel did not use "reset gpio", a judgment was added
here.
