Patch series "mm/init/kernel: missing-prototypes warnings". These are patches addressing -Wmissing-prototypes warnings in common kernel code and memory management code files that usually get merged through the -mm tree. This patch (of 12): This function is called whenever CONFIG_NEED_PER_CPU_EMBED_FIRST_CHUNK or CONFIG_HAVE_SETUP_PER_CPU_AREA, but only declared when the former is set: mm/percpu.c:3055:12: error: no previous prototype for 'pcpu_embed_first_chunk' [-Werror=missing-prototypes] There is no real point in hiding declarations, so just remove the #ifdef here. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
