In xfs_imap_to_bp(), we convert a -EFSCORRUPTED error to -EINVAL if we are doing an untrusted lookup. This is done because we need failed filehandle lookups to report -ESTALE to the caller, and it does this by converting -EINVAL and -ENOENT errors to -ESTALE. The squashing of EFSCORRUPTED in imap_to_bp makes it impossible for for xfs_iget(UNTRUSTED) callers to determine the difference between "inode does not exist" and "corruption detected during lookup". We realy need that distinction in places calling xfS_iget(UNTRUSTED), so move the filehandle error case handling all the way out to xfs_nfs_get_inode() where it is needed. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
