867cae44f8 mfd: intel-m10-bmc: Manage access to MAX 10 fw handshake registers
On some MAX 10 cards, the BMC firmware is not available to service
handshake registers during secure update erase and write phases at
normal speeds. This problem affects at least hwmon driver. When the MAX
10 hwmon driver tries to read the sensor values during a secure update,
the reads are slowed down (e.g., reading all D5005 sensors takes ~24s
which is magnitudes worse than the normal <0.02s).

Manage access to the handshake registers using a rw semaphore and a FW
state variable to prevent accesses during those secure update phases
and return -EBUSY instead.

If handshake_sys_reg_nranges == 0, don't update bwcfw_state as it is not
used. This avoids the locking cost.

e9c154eed8 mfd: intel-m10-bmc: Move m10bmc_sys_read() away from header
Move m10bmc_sys_read() out from the header to prepare it for adding
more code into the function which would make it too large to be a
static inline any more.

Move struct rt5033_battery from the mfd header into the battery driver because
it's not used by others.

b7653853d5 power: supply: rt5033_charger: Add RT5033 charger device driver
This patch adds device driver of Richtek RT5033 PMIC. The driver supports
switching charger. rt5033 charger provides three charging modes. The charging
modes are pre-charge mode, fast charge mode and constant voltage mode. They
vary in charge rate, the charge parameters can be controlled by i2c interface.

3d89761210 mfd: rt5033: Apply preparatory changes before adding rt5033-charger driver
Order the register blocks to have the masks in descending manner.

Add new defines for constant voltage shift (RT5033_CHGCTRL2_CV_SHIFT),
MIVR mask (RT5033_CHGCTRL4_MIVR_MASK), pre-charge current shift
(RT5033_CHGCTRL4_IPREC_SHIFT), internal timer disable
(RT5033_INT_TIMER_DISABLE), termination disable (RT5033_TE_DISABLE),
CFO disable (RT5033_CFO_DISABLE), UUG disable (RT5033_CHARGER_UUG_DISABLE).

The fast charge timer type needs to be written on mask 0x38
(RT5033_CHGCTRL3_TIMER_MASK). To avoid a bit shift on application, change the
values of the timer types to fit the mask. Added the timout duration as a
comment. And the timer between TIMER8 and TIMER12 is most likely TIMER10, see
e.g. RT5036 [1] page 28 bottom.

Add value options for MIVR (Minimum Input Voltage Regulation).

Move RT5033_TE_ENABLE_MASK to the block "RT5033 CHGCTRL1 register", in order
to have the masks of the register collected there. To fit the naming scheme,
rename it to RT5033_CHGCTRL1_TE_EN_MASK.

Move RT5033_CHG_MAX_CURRENT to the block "RT5033 charger fast-charge current".

Add new defines RT5033_CV_MAX_VOLTAGE and RT5033_CHG_MAX_PRE_CURRENT to the
blocks "RT5033 charger constant charge voltage" and "RT5033 charger pre-charge
current limits".

In include/linux/mfd/rt5033.h, turn power_supply "psy" into a pointer in order
to use it in devm_power_supply_register().

4f7a2a08c7 mfd: rt5033: Fix STAT_MASK, HZ_MASK and AICR defines
The charger state mask RT5033_CHG_STAT_MASK should be 0x30 [1][2].

The high impedance mask RT5033_RT_HZ_MASK is actually value 0x02 [3] and is
assosiated to the RT5033 CHGCTRL1 register [4]. Accordingly also change
RT5033_CHARGER_HZ_ENABLE to 0x02 to avoid the need of a bit shift upon
application.

For input current limiting AICR mode, the define for the 1000 mA step was
missing [5]. Additionally add the define for DISABLE option. Concerning the
mask, remove RT5033_AICR_MODE_MASK because there is already
RT5033_CHGCTRL1_IAICR_MASK further up. They are redundant and the upper one
makes more sense to have the masks of a register colleted there as an
overview.

c4747d7ce3 mfd: rt5033: Fix chip revision readout
After reading the data from the DEVICE_ID register, mask 0x0f needs to be
applied to extract the revision of the chip [1].

The other part of the DEVICE_ID register, mask 0xf0, is a vendor identification
code. That's how it is set up at similar products of Richtek, e.g. RT9455 [2]
page 21 top.

TI TPS6594 PMIC support (RTC, pinctrl, regulators)

TPS6594 is a Power Management IC which provides regulators and others
features like GPIOs, RTC, watchdog, ESMs (Error Signal Monitor), and
PFSM (Pre-configurable Finite State Machine). The SoC and the PMIC can
communicate through the I2C or SPI interfaces.
TPS6594 is the super-set device while TPS6593 and LP8764 are derivatives.

This series adds support to TI TPS6594 PMIC and its derivatives.

regulator: Add X-Powers AXP15060/AXP313a PMIC
Merge series from Andre Przywara <andre.przywara@arm.com>:

This patch series adds support for the X-Powers AXP15060 and AXP313a
PMIC, which are general purpose PMICs as seen on different boards with
different SOCs, mostly from Allwinner.

This is mostly a repost of the previous patches, combining both the
AXP313a and AXP15060 series, rebased on top of v6.4-rc3, and omitting
the patches that already got merged.
The first two patches are the successors of the AXP313a v10 post,
the third patch is based on Shengyu's AXP15060 v3 post.

There were no code changes, just some tiny context differences due to
the rebase, plus I added the newly gained tags.

As the DT bindings and the AXP15060 MFD part are already in the tree,
this is just completing support with the MFD part for the AXP313a, and
the regulator support for both PMICs.

75c8cb2f4c mfd: axp20x: Add support for AXP313a PMIC
The AXP313a is a PMIC chip produced by X-Powers, it can be connected via
an I2C bus.
The name AXP1530 seems to appear as well, and this is what is used in
the BSP driver. From all we know it's the same chip, just a different
name. However we have only seen AXP313a chips in the wild, so go with
this name.

Compared to the other AXP PMICs it's a rather simple affair: just three
DCDC converters, three LDOs, and no battery charging support.

Describe the regmap and the MFD bits, along with the registers exposed
via I2C. Aside from the various regulators, also describe the power key
interrupts, and adjust the shutdown handler routine to use a different
register than the other PMICs.
Eventually advertise the device using the new compatible string.

d5f4fa60d6 ARM/gpio: Push OMAP2 quirk down into TWL4030 driver
The TWL4030 GPIO driver has a custom platform data .set_up()
callback to call back into the platform and do misc stuff such
as hog and export a GPIO for WLAN PWR on a specific OMAP3 board.

Avoid all the kludgery in the platform data and the boardfile
and just put the quirks right into the driver. Make it
conditional on OMAP3.

I think the exported GPIO is used by some kind of userspace
so ordinary DTS hogs will probably not work.

c32c81f3db ARM/mfd/gpio: Fixup TPS65010 regression on OMAP1 OSK1
Aaro reports problems on the OSK1 board after we altered
the dynamic base for GPIO allocations.

It appears this happens because the OMAP driver now
allocates GPIO numbers dynamically, so all that is
references by number is a bit up in the air.

Let's bite the bullet and try to just move the gpio_chip
in the tps65010 MFD driver over to using dynamic allocations.
Alter everything in the OSK1 board file to use a GPIO
descriptor table and lookups.

Utilize the NULL device to define some board-specific
GPIO lookups and use these to immediately look up the
same GPIOs, convert to IRQ numbers and pass as resources
to the devices. This is ugly but should work.

The .setup() callback for tps65010 was used for some GPIO
hogging, but since the OSK1 is the only user in the entire
kernel we can alter the signatures to something that
is helpful and make a clean transition.

e0f8ad2a70 mfd: axp20x: Add support for AXP15060 PMIC
The AXP15060 is a PMIC chip produced by X-Powers, and could be connected
via an I2C bus.

Describe the regmap and the MFD bits, along with the registers exposed
via I2C. Eventually advertise the device using a new compatible string
and add support for power off the system.

The driver would disable PEK function if IRQ is not configured in device
tree, since some boards (For example, Starfive Visionfive 2) didn't
connect IRQ line of PMIC to SOC.

GPIO function isn't enabled in this commit, since its configuration
operation is different from any existing AXP PMICs and needs
logic modification on existing driver. GPIO support might come in later
patches.

654c293e16 mfd: Add Renesas RZ/G2L MTU3a core driver
The RZ/G2L multi-function timer pulse unit 3 (MTU3a) is embedded in
the Renesas RZ/G2L family SoCs. It consists of eight 16-bit timer
channels and one 32-bit timer channel. It supports the following
functions
 - Counter
 - Timer
 - PWM

The 8/16/32 bit registers are mixed in each channel.

Add MTU3a core driver for RZ/G2L SoC. The core driver shares the
clk and channel register access for the other child devices like
Counter, PWM and Clock event.

0742c2a633 mfd: max597x: Add support for MAX5970 and MAX5978
Implement a regulator driver with IRQ support for fault management.
Written against documentation [1] and [2] and tested on real hardware.

Every channel has it's own regulator supply nammed 'vss1-supply' and
'vss2-supply'. The regulator supply is used to determine the output
voltage, as the smart switch provides no output regulation.
The driver requires the 'shunt-resistor-micro-ohms' to be present in
the devicetree to properly calculate current related values.

You must specify compatible devictree layout:

d0a4564bd0 pwm: stm32: Enforce settings for PWM capture
The PWM capture assumes that the input selector is set to default
input and that the slave mode is disabled. Force reset state for
TISEL and SMCR registers to match this requirement.

Note that slave mode disabling is not a pre-requisite by itself
for capture mode, as hardware supports it for PWM capture.
However, the current implementation of the driver does not
allow slave mode for PWM capture. Setting slave mode for PWM
capture results in wrong capture values.

1ec35eadc3 We have one small patch to the clk core this time around. It fixes a corner
case with the CLK_OPS_PARENT_ENABLE flag combined with clk_core_is_enabled()
 where it hangs the system. We'll simply assume the clk is disabled if the
 parent is disabled and the flag is set. Trying to turn on the parent to check
 the enable state of the clk runs into system hangs at boot. We let this bake in
 -next for a couple weeks to make sure there aren't any more issues because the
 last attempt to fix this ran into hangs and had to be reverted.
 
 Note: There were some more patches to the core framework around sync_state and
 disabling unused clks, but I asked for that to be reverted from the qcom PR
 because it isn't ready and we're still discussing the best solution on the
 list.
 
 Outside of the core clk framework, we have the usual collection of clk driver
 updates and support for new SoCs (which seems to never stop). The dirstat is
 dominated by Qualcomm because they added support for quite a few SoCs this time
 around and also migrated quite a few of their drivers to clk_parent_data. The
 other big diff is in the Mediatek clk drivers that saw a significant rework
 this cycle to similarly modernize the code, and we'll see that work continue in
 the next cycle as well. Nothing really jumps out as scary here, except that the
 significant churn in parent data descriptions can have typos that go unnoticed.

ccc91b3ed3 mfd: twl: Fix TWL6032 phy vbus detection
TWL6032 has a few charging registers prepended before the charging
registers the TWL6030 has. To be able to use common register defines
declare the additional registers as additional module.
At the moment this affects the access to CHARGERUSB_CTRL1 in
phy-twl6030-usb.  Without this patch, it is accessing the wrong register
on TWL6032.
The consequence is that presence of Vbus is not reported.

8781ba7f45 mfd: axp20x: Fix order of pek rise and fall events
The power button can get "stuck" if the rising edge and falling edge irq
are read in the same pass. This can often be triggered when resuming
from suspend if the power button is released before the kernel handles
the interrupt.

Swapping the order of the rise and fall events makes sure that the press
event is handled first, which prevents this situation.

The drivers for various CHT Whiskey Cove PMIC child-devices need to know
the model, since they have model specific behavior. The DMI match table
for this is shared between the child-device-drivers inside the MFD driver.

Add the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 X90F, which is a previously unknown tablet
model with a CHT Whiskey Cove PMIC, to the intel_cht_wc_models enum and
to the DMI match table.

acf63c458b fpga: m10bmc-sec: Add support for N6000
Add support for PMCI-based flash access path and N6000 sec update
support. Access to flash staging area is different for N6000 from that
of the SPI interfaced counterparts.

Introduce intel_m10bmc_flash_bulk_ops to allow interface specific
differentiations for the flash access path for sec update and make
m10bmc_sec_read/write() in sec update driver to use the new operations.
The .flash_mutex serializes read/read. Flash update (erase+write) must
use ->lock/unlock_write() to prevent reads during update (reads would
timeout on setting flash MUX as BMC will prevent it).

Create a type specific RSU status reg handler for N6000 because the
field has moved from doorbell to auth result register.

If a failure is detected while altering the flash MUX, it seems safer
to try to set it back and doesn't seem harmful. Likely there are enough
troubles in that case anyway so setting it back fails too (which is
harmless sans the small extra delay) or just confirms that the value
wasn't changed.

869b9eddf0 mfd: intel-m10-bmc: Add PMCI driver
Add the mfd driver for the Platform Management Component Interface
(PMCI) based interface of Intel MAX10 BMC controller.

PMCI is a software-visible interface, connected to card BMC which
provided the basic functionality of read/write BMC register. The access
to the register is done indirectly via a hardware controller/bridge
that handles read/write/clear commands and acknowledgments for the
commands.

Previously, intel-m10-bmc provided sysfs under
/sys/bus/spi/devices/... which is generalized in this change because
not all MAX10 BMC appear under SPI anymore.

16e5d95a5c mfd: intel-m10-bmc: Create m10bmc_platform_info for type specific info
BMC type specific info is currently set by a switch/case block. The
size of this info is expected to grow as more dev types and features
are added which would have made the switch block bloaty.

Store type specific info into struct and place them into .driver_data
instead because it makes things a bit cleaner.

The m10bmc_type enum can be dropped as the differentiation is now
fully handled by the platform info.

The info member of struct intel_m10bmc that is added here is not used
yet in this change but its addition logically still belongs to this
change. The CSR map change that comes after this change needs to have
the info member.

The TPS65219 is a power management IC PMIC designed to supply a wide
range of SoCs in both portable and stationary applications. Any SoC can
control TPS65219 over a standard I2C interface.

It contains the following components:
- Regulators.
- Over Temperature warning and Shut down.
- GPIOs
- Multi Function Pins (MFP)
- power-button

This patch adds support for tps65219 PMIC. At this time only
the functionalities listed below are made available:

- Regulators probe and functionalities
- warm and cold reset support
- SW shutdown support
- Regulator warnings via IRQs
- Power-button via IRQ

b76f64caa4 Input: max8997 - convert to modern way to get a reference to a PWM
pwm_request() isn't recommended to be used any more because it relies on
global IDs for the PWM which comes with different difficulties.

The new way to do things is to find the right PWM using a reference from
the platform device. (This can be created either using a device-tree
or a platform lookup table, see e.g. commit 5a4412d4a8 ("ARM: pxa:
tavorevb: Use PWM lookup table") how to do this.)

There are no in-tree users, so there are no other code locations that need
adaption.

bb5721f063 mfd: ocelot: Add helper to get regmap from a resource
Several ocelot-related modules are designed for MMIO / regmaps. As such,
they often use a combination of devm_platform_get_and_ioremap_resource()
and devm_regmap_init_mmio().

Operating in an MFD might be different, in that it could be memory mapped,
or it could be SPI, I2C... In these cases a fallback to use IORESOURCE_REG
instead of IORESOURCE_MEM becomes necessary.

When this happens, there's redundant logic that needs to be implemented in
every driver. In order to avoid this redundancy, utilize a single function
that, if the MFD scenario is enabled, will perform this fallback logic.

d9cd0bc604 mfd: mt6397: Add basic support for MT6331+MT6332 PMIC
Add support for the MT6331 PMIC with MT6332 Companion PMIC, found
in MT6795 Helio X10 smartphone platforms.

This combo has support for multiple devices but, for a start,
only the following have been implemented:
- Regulators (two instances, one in MT6331, one in MT6332)
- RTC (MT6331)
- Keys (MT6331)
- Interrupts (MT6331 also dispatches MT6332's interrupts)

There's more to be implemented, especially for MT6332, which
will come at a later stage.

df76234276 mfd: bcm2835-pm: Add support for BCM2711
In BCM2711 the new RPiVid ASB took over V3D. The old ASB is still present
with the ISP and H264 bits, and V3D is in the same place in the new ASB
as the old one.

As per the devicetree bindings, BCM2711 will provide both the old and
new ASB resources, so get both of them and pass them into
'bcm2835-power,' which will take care of selecting which one to use
accordingly.

Since the RPiVid ASB's resources were being provided prior to formalizing
the bindings[1], also support the old DT files that didn't use
'reg-names.'

813c2aee51 ARM/pxa/mfd/power/sound: Switch Tosa to GPIO descriptors
The Tosa device (Sharp SL-6000) has a mishmash driver set-up
for the Toshiba TC6393xb MFD that includes a battery charger
and touchscreen and has some kind of relationship to the SoC
sound driver for the AC97 codec. Other devices define a chip
like this but seem only half-implemented, not really handling
battery charging etc.

This patch switches the Toshiba MFD device to provide GPIO
descriptors to the battery charger and SoC codec. As a result
some descriptors need to be moved out of the Tosa boardfile
and new one added: all SoC GPIO resources to these drivers
now comes from the main boardfile, while the MFD provide
GPIOs for its portions.

As a result we can request one GPIO from our own GPIO chip
and drop two hairy callbacks into the board file.

This platform badly needs to have its drivers split up and
converted to device tree probing to handle this quite complex
relationship in an orderly manner. I just do my best in solving
the GPIO descriptor part of the puzzle. Please don't ask me
to fix everything that is wrong with these driver to todays
standards, I am just trying to fix one aspect. I do try to
use modern devres resource management and handle deferred
probe using new functions where appropriate.

013a3e7c79 ptp: idt82p33: use rsmu driver to access i2c/spi bus
rsmu (Renesas Synchronization Management Unit ) driver is located in
drivers/mfd and responsible for creating multiple devices including
idt82p33 phc, which will then use the exposed regmap and mutex
handle to access i2c/spi bus.
