4c8a7b80d5 rtc: pcf85063: add support for fixed clock
TQ-Systems' TQMa8Mx module (SoM) uses a pcf85063 as RTC. The default output
is 32768Hz. This is to provide the i.MX8M CKIL clock. Once the RTC driver
is probed, the clock is disabled and all i.MX8M functionality depending on
the 32 KHz clock will halt. In our case the whole system halts and a power
cycle is required.

Referencing the pcf85063 directly results in a deadlock. The kernel
will see, that i.MX8M system clock needs the RTC clock and do probe
deferral. But the i.MX8M I2C module never becomes usable without the
i.MX8M CKIL clock and thus the RTC's clock will not be probed. So
from the kernel's perspective this is a chicken-and-egg problem.

Technically everything is fine by not touching anything, since
the RTC clock correctly enables the clock on reset (i.e. on
battery backup power loss).

A workaround for this issue is describing the square wave pin
as fixed-clock, which is registered early and basically how
this pin is used on the i.MX8M.

This addresses the exact same issue as in commit f765e349c3 ("rtc:
m41t80: add support for fixed clock").

e8917266ae dt-bindings: More dropping redundant minItems/maxItems
Another round of removing redundant minItems/maxItems from new schema in
the recent merge window.

If a property has an 'items' list, then a 'minItems' or 'maxItems' with the
same size as the list is redundant and can be dropped. Note that is DT
schema specific behavior and not standard json-schema behavior. The tooling
will fixup the final schema adding any unspecified minItems/maxItems.

This condition is partially checked with the meta-schema already, but
only if both 'minItems' and 'maxItems' are equal to the 'items' length.
An improved meta-schema is pending.

f765e349c3 rtc: m41t80: add support for fixed clock
Congatec's QMX6 system on module (SoM) uses a m41t62 as RTC. The
modules SQW clock output defaults to 32768 Hz. This behaviour is
used to provide the i.MX6 CKIL clock. Once the RTC driver is probed,
the clock is disabled and all i.MX6 functionality depending on
the 32 KHz clock has undefined behaviour. For example when using
the hardware watchdog the system will likely do arbitrary reboots.

Referencing the m41t62 directly results in a deadlock. The kernel
will see, that i.MX6 system clock needs the RTC clock and do probe
deferral. But the i.MX6 I2C module never becomes usable without the
i.MX6 CKIL clock and thus the RTC's clock will not be probed. So
from the kernel's perspective this is a chicken-and-egg problem.

Technically everything is fine by not touching anything, since
the RTC clock correctly enables the clock on reset (i.e. on
battery backup power loss) and also the bootloader enables it
in case an something (e.g. an unpatched kernel) disabled this
incorrectly.

A workaround for this issue is describing the square wave pin
as fixed-clock, which is registered early and basically how
this pin is used on the i.MX6.

965fe1ceea dt-bindings: rtc: let aux-voltage-chargeable supersede trickle-diode-disable
Some RTCs can be equipped with a chargeable battery or supercap.
Every RTC allowing this whose driver's implement it are charged by
default. To disable this the trickle-diode-disable flag exists.

If a driver did not support charging and some time later one wants to
add that feature, there is currently no way to do it without breaking
dt backwards compatibility. RTCs on boards without the
trickle-diode-disable flag in their device tree would suddenly charge
their battery/supercap which is a change in behavior.

Change that by introducing aux-voltage-chargeable, not as a flag but as
a uint32 enum allowing to set "do not charge" (0) or "charge" (1). This
dt property is optional, so we can now distinguish these cases.

Care must be taken to support the old behavior for device trees without
aux-voltage-chargeable nonetheless to stay compatible.

b33aaf5cd6 dt-bindings: rtc: Convert snps,dw-apb-timer to DT schema
Modern device tree bindings are supposed to be created as YAML-files
in accordance with DT schema. This commit replaces Synopsys DW Timer
legacy bare text binding with YAML file. As before the binding file
states that the corresponding dts node is supposed to be compatible
with generic DW APB Timer indicated by the "snps,dw-apb-timer"
compatible string and to provide a mandatory registers memory range,
one timer interrupt, either reference clock source or a fixed clock
rate value. It may also have an optional APB bus reference clock
phandle specified.

3d21a46093 dt-bindings: Remove cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'
json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that
any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct
form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed
in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other
keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the
tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works.

This has been a constant source of review comments, so let's change this
treewide so everyone copies the simpler syntax.

Scripted with ruamel.yaml with some manual fixups. Some minor whitespace
changes from the script.

7f464532b0 dt-bindings: Add missing 'additionalProperties: false'
Setting 'additionalProperties: false' is frequently omitted, but is
important in order to check that there aren't extra undocumented
properties in a binding.

Ideally, we'd just add this automatically and make this the default, but
there's some cases where it doesn't work. For example, if a common
schema is referenced, then properties in the common schema aren't part
of what's considered for 'additionalProperties'. Also, sometimes there
are bus specific properties such as 'spi-max-frequency' that go into
bus child nodes, but aren't defined in the child node's schema.

So let's stick with the json-schema defined default and add
'additionalProperties: false' where needed. This will be a continual
review comment and game of wack-a-mole.

Add compatible string for Microcrystal RV1805 RTC, which is compatible
with AB1805. The RV1805 uses smaller 10 pin package, while the AB1805
uses larger 16pin package, however the die inside the chip is the same.

347d357030 dt-bindings: rtc: sun6i-rtc: Add compatible strings for pre-H6 variants
While doing Bluetooth enablement for various boards based on various
Allwinner SoCs, minor differences in the RTC modules were found. These
include a lack of an external clock output (A31), different internal
oscillator frequencies (H3/H5/A64/V3/V3s), different regulator voltage
settings (H5/H6), and the presence of miscellaneous registers unrelated
to the RTC (A64/R40/H5/H6). The datasheet also describes different number
of registers for non-volatile storage, though based on actual experiments
the actual number is the same across the board.

This patch adds a list of all pre-H6 variants, grouped by the internal
oscillator's clock rate, regulator settings, and the presence of the
external clock output. Combinations are introduced for the variants that
have miscellaneous registers.

The RTC block in the H6 also handles the 24 MHz DCXO. This will require
more device tree binding changes and will be done later.

'interrupt-parent' is often documented as part of define bindings, but
it is really outside the scope of a device binding. It's never required

87c9fd8182 dt-bindings: rtc: imxdi: Improve the bindings text
Improve the bindings text by doing the following changes:

- Remove the i.MX53 reference, as the RTC on i.MX53 is a different hardware
- Add 'clocks' to the list of required properties
- Explain that the optional security violation irq is the second entry
- Use the real unit address and irq numbers for i.MX25
