Richard Weinberger 860fc865b0 utils: reimplement/fix mkdir_p() (v2)
Reimplement mkdir_p() such that it:
 ...handles relativ paths correctly. (currently it crashes)
 ...does not rely on dirname().
 ...is not recursive.
 ...is shorter. ;-)
