6ba0adacd2 bgpd: Stop prepending peer-as if self-originated and lastas configured
Problem seen where if "set aspath-prepend last-as" configured and
applied outbound, we prepend the peer's asn which causes our self-
originated routes to be denied.

f6e7507eb6 bgpd: fix routemap update with disabled delay timer
- vnc_routemap_update is called only for the last bgp instance
- vpn_policy_routemap_event is not called at all
- unguarded debug (there's already a debug inside the called function)

Make the code consistent with the callback code that is used when the
delay timer is enabled.

d0a4ee6010 bgpd: Add "set evpn gateway-ip" clause for route-map
- Add following set clause for route-maps
  "set evpn gateway-ip <ipv4|ipv6 >A.B.C.D|X:X::X:X"
- When this route-map is applied as outboubd policy in BGP, it will set the
gateway-ip in BGP attribute For EVPN type-5 routes.

Example configuration:

route-map RMAP-EVPN_GWIP permit 5
 set evpn gateway-ip ipv4 50.0.2.12
 set evpn gateway-ip ipv6 50:0:2::12

rfc7999:
A BGP speaker receiving an announcement tagged with the BLACKHOLE

of the prefix outside the local AS. The community to prevent

1782514fb9 *: Remove route_map_object_t from the system
The route_map_object_t was being used to track what protocol we were
being called against. But each protocol was only ever calling itself.
So we had a variable that was only ever being passed in from route_map_apply
that had to be carried against and everyone was testing if that variable
was for their own stack.

Clean up this route_map_object_t from the entire system. We should
speed some stuff up. Yes I know not a bunch but this will add up.

7f7940e6bf bgpd: conditional advertisement
Implemented as per the feature description given in the source link.

Descriprion:
The BGP conditional advertisement feature uses the non-exist-map or exist-map
and the advertise-map keywords of the neighbor advertise-map command in order
to track routes by the route prefix.

non-exist-map :
If a route prefix is not present in output of the non-exist-map command, then
the route specified by the advertise-map command is announced.

exist-map :
If a route prefix is present in output of the exist-map command, then the route
specified by the advertise-map command is announced.

The conditional BGP announcements are sent in addition to the normal
announcements that a BGP router sends to its peers.

The conditional advertisement process is triggered by the BGP scanner process,
which runs every 60 seconds. This means that the maximum time for the conditional
advertisement to take effect is 60 seconds. The conditional advertisement can take
effect sooner, depending on when the tracked route is removed from the BGP table
and when the next instance of the BGP scanner occurs.

4056a5f6a5 bgpd: route suppression refactory
Instead of just counting the route suppressions, keep a reference for
all aggregations that are doing it. It should help the with the
following problems:

- Which aggregation suppressed the route.
- Double suppression
- Double unsuppression
- Avoids calling `bgp_process` if already suppressed/unsuppressed.
- Easier code maintenance and understanding

This also fixes a crash when modifying a route map that is
associated with a working aggregate-address.

28ef0ee121 *: Use proper semantics for turning off thread
We have this pattern in the code base:

if (thread)
	THREAD_OFF(thread);

If we look at THREAD_OFF we check to see if thread
is non-null too. So we have a double check.
This is unnecessary. Convert to just using THREAD_OFF

ef3e0d0476 bgpd: Add support for SR-TE Policies in route-maps
Example configuration:
    route-map SET_SR_POLICY permit 10
     set sr-te color 1
     !
    router bgp 1
     bgp router-id 1.1.1.1

     neighbor 2.2.2.2 update-source lo

      neighbor 2.2.2.2 route-map SET_SR_POLICY in

Learned BGP routes from 2.2.2.2 are mapped to the SR-TE Policy
which is uniquely determined by the BGP nexthop (2.2.2.2 in this
case) and the SR-TE color in the route-map.

https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-mohanty-bess-ebgp-dmz. Of course, do
not override the link bandwidth if it has been specified by policy.

Note: Transitive extended communities will be automatically passed along
to EBGP peers; this commit is updating the value that is announced to
something that is the most appropriate.

b1875e656c bgpd: Additional options for generating link bandwidth
Implement the code to handle the other route-map options to generate
the link bandwidth, namely, to use the cumulative bandwidth or to
base this on the number of multipaths. In the latter case, a reference
bandwidth is internally chosen - the implementation uses a value of
1 Gbps.

These additional options mean that the prefix may need to be advertised
if there is a link bandwidth change, which is a new criteria. Define a
new path (change) flag to support this and implement the advertisement.

ca9ac3effc bgpd: Add link bandwidth route-map commands
Implement route-map option to set the link-bandwidth extended
community. The command is of the form:

set extcommunity bandwidth <(1-26214400)|cumulative|num-multipaths>
[non-transitive]

The options available are to specify the actual bandwidth value in
Mbps, base it on the cumulative downstream bandwidth or base it on
the number of multipaths. The last option is based on
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-mohanty-bess-ebgp-dmz. Further,
in alignment with the use case described in this IETF draft, the
extended community is encoded as transitive by default. There is an
option available to specify that it should be non-transitive.

The link-bandwidth itself is carried in bytes per second as specifed in
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idr-link-bandwidth

Note: This commit only handles the processing for bandwidth specifed
as a value; subsequent commits will handle the processing of the other
options.

47c8fa1f87 bgpd: Optimizing route-map's processing of dependencies.
Say for eg., 256 prefix-list entries are pasted to VTYSH.
This results in BGP processing the events for several minutes.

BGPD starts a timer for 5 seconds when the first dependency configuraion
is received. On timer expiry, BGP process dependent route-maps.
After this processing, BGPD reads the configurations received in the
next 5 seconds and then re-processes the route-maps from the beginning.
This cyclic re-processing consumes time and CPU cycles.

Instead of starting a timer when the first configuration is received,
everytime a configuration is received, the existing timer is reset.
This would mean that all the configurations are read first before the timer
expires. This eliminates the cyclic re-processing.

82b692c0cb bgpd: Route-map VNI in-filter filters out all the routes for EVPN
Issue1: When a vni in-filter eg:"neighbor X.X.X.X route-map RM-VNI-FILTER in"
is configured under evpn address-family, all the received routes are dropped
regardless of whether the route has a matching vni or not.
(Where RM-VNI-FILTER contains "match evpn vni 100")

Issue2: Routes with 2 labels are not filtered correctly

Issue3: This filter should not get applied for MPLS routes. For MPLS routes,
we need route-map to handle a 3rd state besides match/nomatch called: noop.

Fix1: The handler bgp_update() that services the received route ignored the
route's label while deciding whether to filter it or not.
As part of the fix, the handler now uses the label info to make the
decision about whether to filter the route or not.

Fix2: route_match_vni() now tries to match both the labels within the route

Fix3: route_match_vni() should return noop when it encounters an mpls based
route. For this, route_map library should handle this 3rd state: RMAP_NOOP.

Related fix : Extract tunnel type
This fix relies on PR 4314 #4314 to extract the tunnel type from bgp extended
communities. The information about the route's tunnel type (vxlan or mpls)
is needed to apply "match evpn vni xx" rule. This rule is applicable to
vxlan routes, and should exit safely for mpls based evpn routes.

b68885f9b7 lib: Introducing a 3rd state for route-map match cmd: RMAP_NOOP
Introducing a 3rd state for route_map_apply library function: RMAP_NOOP

Traditionally route map MATCH rule apis were designed to return
a binary response, consisting of either RMAP_MATCH or RMAP_NOMATCH.
(Route-map SET rule apis return RMAP_OKAY or RMAP_ERROR).
Depending on this response, the following statemachine decided the
course of action:

State1:
If match cmd returns RMAP_MATCH then, keep existing behaviour.
If routemap type is PERMIT, execute set cmds or call cmds if applicable,
otherwise PERMIT!
Else If routemap type is DENY, we DENYMATCH right away

State2:
If match cmd returns RMAP_NOMATCH, continue on to next route-map. If there
are no other rules or if all the rules return RMAP_NOMATCH, return DENYMATCH

We require a 3rd state because of the following situation:

The issue - what if, the rule api needs to abort or ignore a rule?:
"match evpn vni xx" route-map filter can be applied to incoming routes
regardless of whether the tunnel type is vxlan or mpls.
This rule should be N/A for mpls based evpn route, but applicable to only
vxlan based evpn route.
Also, this rule should be applicable for routes with VNI label only, and
not for routes without labels. For example, type 3 and type 4 EVPN routes
do not have labels, so, this match cmd should let them through.

Today, the filter produces either a match or nomatch response regardless of
whether it is mpls/vxlan, resulting in either permitting or denying the
route.. So an mpls evpn route may get filtered out incorrectly.
Eg: "route-map RM1 permit 10 ; match evpn vni 20" or
"route-map RM2 deny 20 ; match vni 20"

With the introduction of the 3rd state, we can abort this rule check safely.
How? The rules api can now return RMAP_NOOP to indicate
that it encountered an invalid check, and needs to abort just that rule,
but continue with other rules.

As a result we have a 3rd state:
State3:
If match cmd returned RMAP_NOOP
Then, proceed to other route-map, otherwise if there are no more
rules or if all the rules return RMAP_NOOP, then, return RMAP_PERMITMATCH.

otherwise we PERMIT!
Else: If Routemap type is DENY, we DENYMATCH right away

State2: Received RMAP_NOMATCH, continue on to next route-map, otherwise,
return DENYMATCH by default if nothing matched.

With reference to PR 4078 (https://github.com/FRRouting/frr/pull/4078),
we require a 3rd state because of the following situation:

The issue - what if, the rule api needs to abort or ignore a rule?:
"match evpn vni xx" route-map filter can be applied to incoming routes
regardless of whether the tunnel type is vxlan or mpls.

How? The rules api can now return RMAP_NOOP (or another enum) to indicate
that it encountered an invalid check, and needs to abort just that rule,
but continue with other rules.

Question: Do we repurpose an existing enum RMAP_OKAY or RMAP_ERROR
as the 3rd state (or create a new enum like RMAP_NOOP)?
RMAP_OKAY and RMAP_ERROR are used to return the result of set cmd.

We chose to go with RMAP_NOOP (but open to ideas),
as a way to bypass the rmap filter

As a result we have a 3rd state:
State3: Received RMAP_NOOP
Then, proceed to other route-map, otherwise return RMAP_PERMITMATCH by default.

This is considered ok in that the routemap.c code came this way

5dbb0a7b2a build: fix Lua build
Each of Lua's major versions are incompatible with each other. Ubuntu,
at least, does not provide a single liblua.so or /usr/include/lua; all
SOs and headers are versioned, e.g. liblua5.3.so and
/usr/include/lua5.3. There's already an m4 macro in the GNU collection
to handle this situation, so let's use that.

This allows building with Lua enabled to work on platforms other than
Fedora.

456a4697e5 bgpd: prevent type-5 route creation if bgp_vrf->l3_vni is 0
After a router reboot the L3 network via it converges before the L2
network. This is because MLAG intentionally holds down bridge-access
and vxlan-network ports for some time (MLAG init-delay) to prevent traffic
from switching to a router that is not fully ready. This also means that
routes (from vrf-peering sessions) that qualify for evpn type-5
advertisments are available long before the L3-VNI is available for that
tenant VRF. In these windows bgpd was adding these evpn-type-5 routes with
a L3-VNI of 0 (which was not fixed up after the L3-VNI became available) -

Fix is to defer creating type-5 routes till the L3-VNI is available for
that tenant VRF (this was already being done for most cases; fixup takes
care of some that missed the check).

2686df6ad8 bgpd: route-map fails to filter type-5 routes
Route-map filtering is based on the value of
"bgp->adv_cmd_rmap[afi][safi].map". For example, we advertise routes in
bgp_evpn_advertise_type5_routes() based on the value of
"bgp->adv_cmd_rmap[afi][safi].map". This variable gets populated in vty
handler bgp_evpn_advertise_type5. This variable will not get populated
if we have not yet applied the route-map configuration. The fix is to
correctly populate "bgp->adv_cmd_rmap[afi][safi].map" in
bgp_route_map_process_update() if it has not been populated before.

1d7c7ace3c bgpd: Add lua match command
Please note this is a Proof of Concept and not actually something
that is ready to commit at this point. The file tools/lua.scr
contains some documentation on how we expect it to work currently.
Additionally not all bgp values have been hooked up into the
ability to lua script yet.

There is still significant work to be done here:

1) Add the ability to pass in more data and to adjust the return values
as appropriate.

To set it up:

1) copy tools/lua.scr into /etc/frr (or whereever the config
directory is )

2) Create a route-map match command:
!
router bgp 55
 neighbor 10.50.11.116 remote-as external
 !
 address-family ipv4 unicast
  neighbor 10.50.11.116 route-map TEST in
 exit-address-family
!
route-map TEST permit 10
 match command mooey
!

3) In the lua.scr file make sure that you have a function
named 'mooey' ( as the above example does ):

function mooey ()
   zlog_debug(string.format("Family: %d: %s %d ifindex: %d aspath: %s localpref: %d",
                            prefix.family, prefix.route,
			    nexthop.metric, nexthop.ifindex, nexthop.aspath, nexthop.localpref))

   nexthop.metric =  33
   nexthop.localpref = 13
   return 3
end

This example script modifies the metric and localpref currently. I've also provided
a zlog_debug function in lua to allow some simple debugging.
