8b56739eb4 bgpd: Force BGP updates when triggering reset out
When adding/removing some peer's flag we need to make sure we FORCE updates

Like entering `no neighbor x.x.x.x send-community large` would suppress

In bgp_zebra_announce we do work to apply the table map.

c850908b9d bgpd: separate lcommunity validation from tokenizer
`lcommunity_gettoken` expects a space-delimeted list of 0 or more large
communities. `lcommunity_list_valid` can perform this check.
`lcommunity_list_valid` now validates large community lists more
accurately based on the following condition: Each quantity in a standard bgp
large community must:

1. Contain at least one digit
2. Fit within 4 octets
3. Contain only digits unless the lcommunity is "expanded"
4. Contain a valid regex if the lcommunity is "expanded"

Moreover we validate that each large community list contains exactly 3
such values separated by a single colon each.

One quirk of our validation which is worth documenting is:

```
bgp large-community-list standard test2 permit 1:c:3
bgp large-community-list expanded test1 permit 1:c:3
```

The first line will throw an error complaining about a "malformed community-list
value". The second line will be accepted because the each value is each treated as
a regex when matching large communities, it simply will never match anything so
it's rather useless.

Fix `peer_default_originate_unset` so default route can be withdrawn

3466e2a1ea bgpd: fix zclient return code damage in labelpool
The check for the return code for zclient_send_get_label_chunk is
reversed and therefore the pending count does not get incremented
for each successful label chunk request.
This has the effect of requesting a 50 label chunk per label request
from BGP i.e we request 50 times the labels we require.

992dd67ec7 bgpd: refactor label allocation code
To prepare for fixing an issue where labels do not get released back
to the labelpool when the route is deleted some refactoring is
necessary. There are 2 parts to this.
1. restructure the code to remove the circular nature of label
allocations via the labelpool and decouple the label type decision
from the notification fo the FEC.
The code to notify the FEC association to zebra has been split out
into a separate function so that it can be called from the synchronous
path (for registration of index-based labels and de-registration of all
labels), and from the asynchronous path where we need to wait for a
callback from the labelpool code with a label allocation.
The decision about whether we are using an index-based label or an
allocated label is reflected in the state of the BGP_NODE_LABEL_REQUESTED
flag so the checks on the path_info in the labelpool callback code are
no longer required.
2. change the owned of a labelpool allocated label from the path info
structure to the bgp_dest structure. This allows labels to be released
(in a subsequent commit) when the owner (bgp_dest) goes away.

Dependencies between bgp instances is necessary only when it comes to

The list of config possibilities is listed, and an error is returned if
one of the above services is configured on the bgp vrf instance.

There may be some missingn services not covered. For clarification, here
are services configured on bgp vrf instances, while trying to delete
main bgp instance:
- if evpn main instance is the main bgp instance, and if evpn rt5
service is configured (with advertise command)
- if a vni is configured in the vrf instance
- if l3vpn import/export commands are solicitated for
importing/exporting entries from a vpnv4/6 network located on main bgp

Two L3 next groups are installed per-VRF per-ES for v4 and v6. These
NHGs are used as an indirect destination for symmetric IRB host routes.

Using L3NHGs allows for efficient failover of an ES (similar to the
use of L2NHGs) i.e. when an ES goes down the number of dataplane
updates are limited to 2xN (where N is the number of tenant VRFs
associated with the ES) instead of updating all host-routes behind the
ES.

c589d84746 bgpd: L3NHG infrastructure for host routes in EVPN
ES-VRF entries are maintained for the purpose of L3-NHG creation -
1. Each ES-EVI entry is associated with a tenant VRF. This associaton
triggers the creation of an ES-VRF entry.
2. Type-2/MAC-IP routes are imported into a tenant VRF and programmed as
a /32 or host route entry in the dataplane. If the destination of
the host route is a remote-ES the route is programmed with the
corresponding (keyed in by {vrf,ES-id}) L3-NHG.
3. The reason for this indirection (route->L3-NHG, L3-NHG->list-of-VTEPs)
is to avoid route updates to the dplane when a remote-ES link flaps i.e.
instead of updating all the dependent routes the NHG's contents are
updated. This reduces the amount of dataplane updates (fewer nhg updates vs.
route updates) allowing for a faster failover.

0154d8ce45 bgpd, lib, nhrpd, zebra: verify return of sockunion2hostprefix
The return from sockunion2hostprefix tells us if the conversion
succeeded or not. There are places in the code where we
always assume that it just `works`, since it can fail
notice and try to do the right thing.

Please note that failure of this function for most cases
of sockunion2hostprefix is highly highly unlikely as that
the sockunion was already created and tested elsewhere
it's just that this function can fail.

266ae3aa53 bgpd: identify passive connections in JSON summary
When using non JSON output, passive connections are marked with:

However, such an information is not available in JSON output. This

dc52beced1 bgpd: Fix missed unlocks
When iterating over the bgp_dest table, using this pattern:

	for (dest = bgp_table_top(table); dest;
	     dest = bgp_route_next(dest)) {

If the code breaks or returns in the middle we will not have
properly unlocked the node as that bgp_table_top locks the top
dest and bgp_route_next locks the next dest and unlocks the old
dest.

From code inspection I have found a bunch of places that
we either return in the middle of or a break is issued.

1bfd9dccd6 bgpd: withdraw any exported routes when deleting a vrf
When a BGP vrf instance is deleted, the routes it exported into the
main VPN table are not deleted and they remain as stale routes
attached to an unknown bgp instance. When the new vrf instance comes
along, it imports these routes from the main table and thus we see
duplicatesalongside its own identical routes.
The solution is to call the unexport logic when a BGP vrf instance is
being deleted.

26742171e6 bgpd: Remove pointer structure from struct bgp_dest
The `struct listnode *rt_node` data structure is adding
8 bytes of size to the `struct bgp_dest`. This is a large
amount of data for a flag we are already setting on each
node for this. Just set the flag and use that to figure
out who we are doing graceful restart on.

We are not displaying it in the statistics data. This is because FRR is walking the associated
table and comparing the current dest to the top of the tree. I have no idea why this is
the case as that when you have 1 prefix you only have 1 node in your tree. Looking at the
code this is the original code that was imported in 2006. I cannot think of any reason why
FRR needs to exclude this particular node.

Fixed:

1ba8b2a8bf bgpd: Multipath is always being allocated
The multipath arrays are always being allocated, irrelevant
if we actually have multipath information for a prefix.

This is because the link bandwidth code was always adding the
data structure. We should not be allocated multipath information
unless we actually have multipath information

7f7940e6bf bgpd: conditional advertisement
Implemented as per the feature description given in the source link.

Descriprion:
The BGP conditional advertisement feature uses the non-exist-map or exist-map
and the advertise-map keywords of the neighbor advertise-map command in order
to track routes by the route prefix.

non-exist-map :
If a route prefix is not present in output of the non-exist-map command, then
the route specified by the advertise-map command is announced.

exist-map :
If a route prefix is present in output of the exist-map command, then the route
specified by the advertise-map command is announced.

The conditional BGP announcements are sent in addition to the normal
announcements that a BGP router sends to its peers.

The conditional advertisement process is triggered by the BGP scanner process,
which runs every 60 seconds. This means that the maximum time for the conditional
advertisement to take effect is 60 seconds. The conditional advertisement can take
effect sooner, depending on when the tracked route is removed from the BGP table
and when the next instance of the BGP scanner occurs.

74e2bd891d bgpd: support for DF election in EVPN-MH
DF (Designated forwarder) election is used for picking a single
BUM-traffic forwarded per-ES. RFC7432 specifies a mechanism called
service carving for DF election. However that mechanism has many
disadvantages -
1. LBs poorly.
2. Doesn't allow for a controlled failover needed in upgrade
scenarios.
3. Not easy to hw accelerate.

To fix the poor performance of service carving alternate DF mechanisms
have been proposed via the following drafts -
draft-ietf-bess-evpn-df-election-framework
draft-ietf-bess-evpn-pref-df

This commit adds support for the pref-df election mechanism which
is used as the default. Other mechanisms including service-carving
may be added later.

In this mechanism one switch on an ES is elected as DF based on the
preference value; higher preference wins with IP address acting
as the tie-breaker (lower-IP wins if pref value is the same).

f4d2dd841d bgpd: delay local routes until update-delay is over
Problem found that turning an update-delay would only delay prefixes
learned from peers by delaying bestpath, but would allow local routes
(network statements or redistributed) to be immediately advertised,
followed by an End of Rib indicator. This fix delays sending local
routes until the update-delay process is completed, which matches
what testing shows other vendors do..

b6c386bbbd bgpd: Make the process_queue per bgp process
We currently have a global process queue for handling route
updates in bgp. This is fine, in general, except there are
places and times where we plug the queue for no new work
during certain peer states of bgp update delay. If we
happen to be processing multiple bgp instances on startup
why do we want to stop processing in vrf A when vrf B
is in a bit of a pickle?

Also this separation will allow us to start forward thinking
about how to fully integrate pthreads into route processing
in bgp.

a5ab756f24 bgpd: fix crash in bgp instance creation
In bgp global commands northbound local-as modify callback
check for backend db for checking existing bgp instance.

In an instance where no router bgp with old ASN cleaned up
followed by new bgp instance with new AS is created,
the nb_running_get_entry in validation phase returns stale
bgp reference, which leads to rejection of the router bgp command.

7daf25a3a8 bgpd: fix show bgp neighbor routes for labeled-unicast
bgp_show_neighbor_route() was rewriting safi from LU to uni
before checking if the peer was enabled for LU. This resulted
in the peer's address-family check looking for unicast, which
would always fail for LU peers since unicast + LU are
mutually-exclusive AFIs.
This moves this safi reassignment after the peer AFI check,
ensuring that the peer's address-family check looks for LU
while the call to bgp_show() still uses uni.

move `router bgp` nb callback at `bgp` node level
to have access to bgp context at neighbor and peer-group
level and align create/destroy callbacks call during
no router bgp.

Earlier `no router bgp` is performed first global destroy
callback is called which essentially removes `bgp context`
then it calls to remove (parallel nodes) neighbor and peer-group
which does not have access to bgp context.
Moving router bgp at bgp solves this destroy callback ordering issue.

When we are deciding that a nexthop is valid there is not much point in checking
that a static route has a martian nexthop or not, since we self derived it already.

7aa4fd5ba7 bgpd: Use bgp instance's default keepalive interval if < (holdtime/3)
bgp->default_keepalive was not considered when setting
peer->v_keepalive, causing the effective keepalive interval to
always be (holdtime/3), even when default_keepalive < (holdtime/3).
This ensures that the default_keepalive is used when it's set and
is < (holdtime/3).

3c2a1ad1f0 bgpd: allow derived router-id update if previously 0x0
Problem found that if a router-id was not defined or derived
initially, the bgp->router_id would be set to 0x0 and used
for determining auto-rd values. When bgp received a subsequent
router-id update from zebra, bgp would not completely process
the update since it was treated as updating an already derived
router-id with a new value, which is not desired. This also
could leave the auto rd/rt inforamation missing or invalid in
some cases. This fix allows updating the derived router-id if
the previous value was 0/0.

The tip hash is only used when we are dealing with
evpn. In bgp_nexthop_self we are doing a memset
irrelevant of whether we will ever find data. Yes
hash_lookup will return pretty quickly.

Modify the code to avoid doing a memset in the case
where the tip hash is empty as that we know we'll
never find anything. With full BGP feeds this
small memset does take some time.

58a1d24924 bgpd, lib, pbrd, zebra: Pass by ifname
When installing rules pass by the interface name across
zapi.

This is being changed because we have a situation where
if you quickly create/destroy ephermeal interfaces under
linux the upper level protocol may be trying to add
a rule for a interface that does not quite exist
at the moment. Since ip rules actually want the
interface name ( to handle just this sort of situation )
convert over to passing the interface name and storing
it and using it in zebra.
