Russell Belfer 1098cfaeca Test fixes and cleanup 
This fixes some places where the new tests were leaving the test
area in a bad state or were freeing data they should not free.
It also removes code that is extraneous to the core issue and
fixes an invalid SHA being looked up in one of the tests (which
was failing, but for the wrong reason).

Writing Clar tests for libgit2

For information on the Clar testing framework and a detailed introduction please visit:

https://github.com/vmg/clar

  • Write your modules and tests. Use good, meaningful names.

  • Make sure you actually build the tests by setting:

      cmake -DBUILD_CLAR=ON build/

  • Test:

      ./build/libgit2_clar

  • Make sure everything is fine.

  • Send your pull request. That's it.
