errors: improve ERR_INVALID_ARG_TYPE
ERR_INVALID_ARG_TYPE is the most common error used throughout the
code base. This improves the error message by providing more details
to the user and by indicating more precisely which values are allowed
ones and which ones are not.

It adds the actual input to the error message in case it's a primitive.
If it's a class instance, it'll print the class name instead of
"object" and "falsy" or similar entries are not named "type" anymore.

errors: update error name
This updates all Node.js errors by removing the `code` being part
of the `name` property. Instead, the name is just changed once on
instantiation, the stack is accessed to create the stack as expected
and then the `name` property is set back to it's original form.

errors: validate input arguments
This makes sure the input arguments get validated so implementation
errors will be caught early. It also improves a couple of error
messages by providing more detailed information and fixes errors
detected by the new functionality. Besides that a error type got
simplified and tests got refactored.

7535a94c8a test: begin normalizing fixtures use
Adds a new `../common/fixtures' module to begin normalizing
`test/fixtures` use. Our test code is a bit inconsistent with
regards to use of the fixtures directory. Some code uses
`path.join()`, some code uses string concats, some other
code uses template strings, etc. In mnay cases, significant
duplication of code is seen when accessing fixture files, etc.

This updates many (but by no means all) of the tests in the
test suite to use the new consistent API. There are still
many more to update, which would make an excelent Code-n-Learn
exercise.

98e54b0bd4 meta: restore original copyright header
A prior io.js era commit inappropriately removed the
original copyright statements from the source. This
restores those in any files still remaining from that
edit.

2dcb7f3826 child_process: add public API for IPC channel
This commit adds a public channel property to ChildProcess. The
existing _channel property is aliased to the new property, with
the intention of deprecating and removing it in the future.

04b4d15b39 test: use mustCall() for simple flow tracking
Many of the tests use variables to track when callback functions
are invoked or events are emitted. These variables are then
asserted on process exit. This commit replaces this pattern in
straightforward cases with common.mustCall(). This makes the
tests easier to reason about, leads to a net reduction in lines
of code, and uncovered a few bugs in tests. This commit also
replaces some callbacks that should never be called with
common.fail().

7b0cf87101 test: remove unused var from child-process-fork
`messageCount` is assigned, but never used. Remove it.

(This was missed by the linter in previous versions of ESLint but is
flagged by the current version. Updating the linter is contingent on
this change or some similar remedy landing.)

benchmarks accordingly. For tests and benchmarks that are testing or
benchmarking assert.deepEqual() itself, apply a comment to ignore the

f29762f4dd test: enable linting for tests
Enable linting for the test directory. A number of changes was made so
all tests conform the current rules used by lib and src directories. The
only exception for tests is that unreachable (dead) code is allowed.

test-fs-non-number-arguments-throw had to be excluded from the changes
because of a weird issue on Windows CI.

is no justifiable reason to also require that it be included in every
