The old image that we used for testing the bamboo machine has disappeared
from the internet. Fortunately there is another kernel + initrd provided
by Cédric that can be used for testing this machine, too.

Replace any instances of
os.path.join(self.workdir, ".../...")
self.workdir + "/.../..."
with
self.scratch_file("...", "...")
which is more compact and portable

Instead of using the "archive" module from avocado.utils, switch
these tests to use the new wrapper function that is based on the
"tarfile" module instead.
