533561a8aa usb: dwc3: omap: Use devm_regulator_get_optional()
The 'vbus-supply' regulator is optional, so use
devm_regulator_get_optional() instead of checking for property presence
first.

While here, rework the error handling to use dev_err_probe() which
handles deferred probe correctly without an error message.

1ff24d40b3 usb: dwc3: gadget: Fix incorrect UDC state after manual deconfiguration
The UDC state in sysfs (/sys/class/udc/<udc>/state) should accurately
reflect the current state of the USB Device Controller.

Currently, the UDC state is not handled consistently during gadget
disconnection. While the disconnect interrupt path correctly sets the
state to "not-attached", manual deconfiguration leaves the state in
"configured", misrepresenting the actual situation.

This commit ensures consistent UDC state handling by setting the state to
"not-attached" after manual deconfiguration. This accurately reflects the
UDC's state and provides a consistent behavior regardless of the
disconnection method.

625e70ccb7 usb: dwc3-am62: Disable autosuspend during remove
Runtime PM documentation (Section 5) mentions, during remove()
callbacks, drivers should undo the runtime PM changes done in
probe(). Usually this means calling pm_runtime_disable(),
pm_runtime_dont_use_autosuspend() etc. Hence add missing
function to disable autosuspend on dwc3-am62 driver unbind.

01ea6bf5cb usb: dwc3: gadget: fix writing NYET threshold
Before writing a new value to the register, the old value needs to be
masked out for the new value to be programmed as intended, because at
least in some cases the reset value of that field is 0xf (max value).

At the moment, the dwc3 core initialises the threshold to the maximum
value (0xf), with the option to override it via a DT. No upstream DTs
seem to override it, therefore this commit doesn't change behaviour for
any upstream platform. Nevertheless, the code should be fixed to have
the desired outcome.

31d500c2d0 usb: dwc3: dwc3-am62: Re-initialize controller if lost power in PM suspend
If controller looses power during PM suspend then re-initialize
it. We use the DEBUG_CFG register to track if controller lost power
or was reset in PM suspend.

Move all initialization code into dwc3_ti_init() so it can be re-used.

a48f744bef usb: dwc3: xilinx: make sure pipe clock is deselected in usb2 only mode
When the USB3 PHY is not defined in the Linux device tree, there could
still be a case where there is a USB3 PHY active on the board and enabled
by the first stage bootloader. If serdes clock is being used then the USB
will fail to enumerate devices in 2.0 only mode.

To solve this, make sure that the PIPE clock is deselected whenever the
USB3 PHY is not defined and guarantees that the USB2 only mode will work
in all cases.

The '4c010010.usb' device is a platform device created during the initcall
and is never removed, which causes its associated software node to persist
indefinitely.

The existing device_create_managed_software_node() does not provide a
corresponding removal function.

Replace device_create_managed_software_node() with the
device_add_software_node() and device_remove_software_node() pair to ensure
proper addition and removal of software nodes, addressing this issue.

04d5b4c23f usb: dwc3: core: Disable USB2 retry for DWC_usb31 1.80a and prior
STAR 9001346572 addresses a USB 2.0 endpoint blocking issue in host mode
for controller versions DWC_usb31 1.70a and 1.80a. This issue affects
devices on both high-speed and full-speed bus instances. When all
endpoint caches are filled and a single active endpoint receives
continuous NAK responses, data transfers to other endpoints may get
blocked.

To resolve this, for controller versions DWC_usb31 1.70a and 1.80a, the
GUCTL3 bit[16] (USB2.0 Internal Retry Disable) is set to 1. This bit
disables the USB2.0 internal retry feature and ensures proper eviction
handling in the host controller endpoind cache. The GUCTL3[16] register
function is available only from DWC_usb31 version 1.70a.

is no longer used and should be removed. This patch eliminates the unused
member, cleaning up the struct.

The current logic in dwc3 driver is tracking req->num_queued_sgs and
req->sg. But they can be checked base on the num_pending_sgs and
num_trbs. They are redundant and can complicate the SG logic. Let's

b7fc65f514 usb: dwc3: gadget: Fix looping of queued SG entries
The dwc3_request->num_queued_sgs is decremented on completion. If a
partially completed request is handled, then the
dwc3_request->num_queued_sgs no longer reflects the total number of
num_queued_sgs (it would be cleared).

Correctly check the number of request SG entries remained to be prepare
and queued. Failure to do this may cause null pointer dereference when
accessing non-existent SG entry.

02a6982b0c usb: dwc3: gadget: Fix checking for number of TRBs left
The check whether the TRB ring is full or empty in dwc3_calc_trbs_left()
is insufficient. It assumes there are active TRBs if there's any request
in the started_list. However, that's not the case for requests with a
large SG list.

That is, if we have a single usb request that requires more TRBs than
the total TRBs in the TRB ring, the queued TRBs will be available when
all the TRBs in the ring are completed. But the request is only
partially completed and remains in the started_list. With the current
logic, the TRB ring is empty, but dwc3_calc_trbs_left() returns 0.

Fix this by additionally checking for the request->num_trbs for active
TRB count.

5d2fb074de usb: dwc3: ep0: Don't clear ep0 DWC3_EP_TRANSFER_STARTED
The driver cannot issue the End Transfer command to the SETUP transfer.
Don't clear DWC3_EP_TRANSFER_STARTED flag to make sure that the driver
won't send Start Transfer command again, which can cause no-resource
error. For example this can occur if the host issues a reset to the
device.

ce25e2a8d8 usb: dwc3: core: Set force_gen1 bit for all applicable SuperSpeed ports
Currently if the maximum-speed is set to Super Speed for a 3.1 Gen2
capable controller, the FORCE_GEN1 bit of LLUCTL register is set only
for one SuperSpeed port (or the first port) present. Modify the logic
to set the FORCE_GEN1 bit for all ports if speed is being limited to
Gen-1.

61eb055cd3 usb: dwc3: gadget: Add missing check for single port RAM in TxFIFO resizing logic
The existing implementation of the TxFIFO resizing logic only supports
scenarios where more than one port RAM is used. However, there is a need
to resize the TxFIFO in USB2.0-only mode where only a single port RAM is
available. This commit introduces the necessary changes to support
TxFIFO resizing in such scenarios by adding a missing check for single
port RAM.

This fix addresses certain platform configurations where the existing
TxFIFO resizing logic does not work properly due to the absence of
support for single port RAM. By adding this missing check, we ensure
that the TxFIFO resizing logic works correctly in all scenarios,
including those with a single port RAM.

9cfb31e4c8 usb: dwc3: fix fault at system suspend if device was already runtime suspended
If the device was already runtime suspended then during system suspend
we cannot access the device registers else it will crash.

Also we cannot access any registers after dwc3_core_exit() on some
platforms so move the dwc3_enable_susphy() call to the top.

b95d0899c8 usb: use "prompt" instead of "bool" for choice prompts
Since commit fde192511b ("kconfig: remove tristate choice support"),
all choice blocks are now boolean. There is no longer a need to specify
the choice type explicitly.

Most choice blocks already use "prompt". Before the next commit removes
support for the "bool" syntax in choice entries, this commit converts
the remaining "bool" occurences under drivers/usb/.

fad16c823e usb: dwc3: gadget: Refine the logic for resizing Tx FIFOs
The current logic is rigid, setting num_fifos to fixed values.
3 for any maxburst greater than 1.
tx_fifo_resize_max_num for maxburst greater than 6.
Additionally, it did not differentiate much between bulk and
isochronous transfers, applying similar logic to both.

The updated logic is more flexible and specifically designed to meet
the unique requirements of both bulk and isochronous transfers. We
have made every effort to satisfy all needs and requirements, verified
on our specific platform and application.

Bulk Transfers: Ensures that num_fifos is optimized by considering both
the maxburst and DT property "tx-fifo-max-num" for super speed and
above. For high-speed and below bulk endpoints, a 2K TxFIFO allocation
is used to meet efficient data transfer needs, considering
FIFO-constrained platforms.

Isochronous Transfers: Ensures that num_fifos is sufficient by
considering the maximum packet multiplier for HS and below and maxburst
for Super-speed and above eps, along with a constraint with the DT
property "tx-fifo-max-num".

This change aims to optimize the allocation of Tx FIFOs for both bulk
and isochronous endpoints, potentially improving data transfer efficiency
and overall performance. It also enhances support for all use cases,
which can be tweaked with DT parameters and the endpoint’s maxburst and
maxpacket. This structured approach ensures that the appropriate number
of FIFOs is allocated based on the endpoint type and USB speed.

705e3ce37b usb: dwc3: core: Fix system suspend on TI AM62 platforms
Since commit 6d73572206 ("usb: dwc3: core: Prevent phy suspend during init"),
system suspend is broken on AM62 TI platforms.

Before that commit, both DWC3_GUSB3PIPECTL_SUSPHY and DWC3_GUSB2PHYCFG_SUSPHY
bits (hence forth called 2 SUSPHY bits) were being set during core
initialization and even during core re-initialization after a system
suspend/resume.

These bits are required to be set for system suspend/resume to work correctly
on AM62 platforms.

Since that commit, the 2 SUSPHY bits are not set for DEVICE/OTG mode if gadget
driver is not loaded and started.
For Host mode, the 2 SUSPHY bits are set before the first system suspend but
get cleared at system resume during core re-init and are never set again.

This patch resovles these two issues by ensuring the 2 SUSPHY bits are set
before system suspend and restored to the original state during system resume.

c96e312521 usb: dwc3: Wait for EndXfer completion before restoring GUSB2PHYCFG
DWC3 programming guide mentions that when operating in USB2.0 speeds,
if GUSB2PHYCFG[6] or GUSB2PHYCFG[8] is set, it must be cleared prior
to issuing commands and may be set again  after the command completes.
But currently while issuing EndXfer command without CmdIOC set, we
wait for 1ms after GUSB2PHYCFG is restored. This results in cases
where EndXfer command doesn't get completed and causes SMMU faults
since requests are unmapped afterwards. Hence restore GUSB2PHYCFG
after waiting for EndXfer command completion.

897e13a8f9 usb: dwc3: re-enable runtime PM after failed resume
When dwc3_resume_common() returns an error, runtime pm is left in
suspended and disabled state in dwc3_resume(). Since the device
is suspended, its parent devices (like the power domain or glue
driver) could also be suspended and may have released resources
that dwc requires. Consequently, calling dwc3_suspend_common() in
this situation could result in attempts to access unclocked or
unpowered registers.
To prevent these problems, runtime PM should always be re-enabled,
even after failed resume attempts. This ensures that
dwc3_suspend_common() is skipped in such cases.

9a0749d61a usb: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()
After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.

Convert all platform drivers below drivers/usb to use .remove(), with
the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

e8afd5ace1 usb: dwc3: rtk: Clean up error code in __get_dwc3_maximum_speed()
The __get_dwc3_maximum_speed() function returns an enum type which, in
this context here, is basically unsigned int.  On error cases, it's
supposed to return USB_SPEED_UNKNOWN, but it was accidentally changed to
return negative error codes in commit f93e96c544 ("usb: dwc3: rtk: use
scoped device node handling to simplify error paths").

There is only one caller and because of the way that the types work out,
returning negative error codes is not a problem.  They will be treated
as greater than USB_SPEED_HIGH and ignored as invalid.  So this patch
does not affect run time behavior, it's just a clean up.

dwc3 driver have PHY management to cover both device and host mode, so add
xhci-skip-phy-init-quirk to skip PHY management from HCD core.

Cold Attach Status (CAS) bit can't be set at i.MX8MP after resume from
suspend state. So set xhci-missing-cas-quirk.

9149c9b0c7 usb: dwc3: core: update LC timer as per USB Spec V3.2
This fix addresses STAR 9001285599, which only affects DWC_usb3 version
3.20a. The timer value for PM_LC_TIMER in DWC_usb3 3.20a for the Link
ECN changes is incorrect. If the PM TIMER ECN is enabled via GUCTL2[19],
the link compliance test (TD7.21) may fail. If the ECN is not enabled
(GUCTL2[19] = 0), the controller will use the old timer value (5us),
which is still acceptable for the link compliance test. Therefore, clear
GUCTL2[19] to pass the USB link compliance test: TD 7.21.

00dcf2fa44 usb: dwc3: Avoid waking up gadget during startxfer
When operating in High-Speed, it is observed that DSTS[USBLNKST] doesn't
update link state immediately after receiving the wakeup interrupt. Since
wakeup event handler calls the resume callbacks, there is a chance that
function drivers can perform an ep queue, which in turn tries to perform
remote wakeup from send_gadget_ep_cmd(STARTXFER). This happens because
DSTS[[21:18] wasn't updated to U0 yet, it's observed that the latency of
DSTS can be in order of milli-seconds. Hence avoid calling gadget_wakeup
during startxfer to prevent unnecessarily issuing remote wakeup to host.

ddfcfeba89 usb: dwc3: st: fix probed platform device ref count on probe error path
The probe function never performs any paltform device allocation, thus
error path "undo_platform_dev_alloc" is entirely bogus.  It drops the
reference count from the platform device being probed.  If error path is
triggered, this will lead to unbalanced device reference counts and
premature release of device resources, thus possible use-after-free when
releasing remaining devm-managed resources.

72fca8371f usb: dwc3: ep0: Don't reset resource alloc flag (including ep0)
The DWC3_EP_RESOURCE_ALLOCATED flag ensures that the resource of an
endpoint is only assigned once. Unless the endpoint is reset, don't
clear this flag. Otherwise we may set endpoint resource again, which
prevents the driver from initiate transfer after handling a STALL or
endpoint halt to the control endpoint.

Commit f2e0eee470 ("usb: dwc3: ep0: Don't reset resource alloc flag")
was fixing the initial issue, but did this only for physical ep1. Since
the function dwc3_ep0_stall_and_restart is resetting the flags for both
physical endpoints, this also has to be done for ep0.

14e497183d usb: dwc3: core: Prevent USB core invalid event buffer address access
This commit addresses an issue where the USB core could access an
invalid event buffer address during runtime suspend, potentially causing
SMMU faults and other memory issues in Exynos platforms. The problem
arises from the following sequence.
        1. In dwc3_gadget_suspend, there is a chance of a timeout when
        moving the USB core to the halt state after clearing the
        run/stop bit by software.
        2. In dwc3_core_exit, the event buffer is cleared regardless of
        the USB core's status, which may lead to an SMMU faults and
        other memory issues. if the USB core tries to access the event
        buffer address.

To prevent this hardware quirk on Exynos platforms, this commit ensures
that the event buffer address is not cleared by software  when the USB
core is active during runtime suspend by checking its status before
clearing the buffer address.

There's no need to get the length of an DT array property before
parsing the array. of_property_read_variable_u32_array() takes a minimum
and maximum length and returns the actual length (or error code).

This is part of a larger effort to remove callers of of_find_property()
and similar functions. of_find_property() leaks the DT struct property
and data pointers which is a problem for dynamically allocated nodes
which may be freed.

d504bfa6cf usb: dwc3: enable CCI support for AMD-xilinx DWC3 controller
The GSBUSCFG0 register bits [31:16] are used to configure the cache type
settings of the descriptor and data write/read transfers (Cacheable,
Bufferable/Posted). When CCI is enabled in the design, DWC3 core GSBUSCFG0
cache bits must be updated to support CCI enabled transfers in USB.

To program GSBUSCFG0 cache bits create a software node property
in AMD-xilinx dwc3 glue driver and pass it to dwc3 core. The core
then reads this property value and configures it in dwc3_core_init()
sequence.

following code is executed and deadlock occurs when trying to get the
spinlock. In fact, the root cause is the commit 5265397f9442("usb: dwc3:
Remove DWC3 locking during gadget suspend/resume") that forgot to remove
the lock of otg mode. So, remove the redundant lock of otg mode during
gadget suspend/resume.

b7ec7fd632 usb: dwc3: Support quirk for writing high-low order
There's the limitation of Synopsys dwc3 controller with ERST programming in
supporting separate ERSTBA_HI and ERSTBA_LO programming. It's supported when
the ERSTBA is programmed ERSTBA_HI before ERSTBA_LO. But, writing operations
in xHCI is done low-high order following xHCI spec. xHCI specification 5.1
"Register Conventions" states that 64 bit registers should be written in
low-high order. Synopsys dwc3 needs workaround for high-low order. That's why
adding new quirk is needed to support this.

2c92ca849f tracing/treewide: Remove second parameter of __assign_str()
With the rework of how the __string() handles dynamic strings where it
saves off the source string in field in the helper structure[1], the
assignment of that value to the trace event field is stored in the helper
value and does not need to be passed in again.

This means that with:

  __string(field, mystring)

Which use to be assigned with __assign_str(field, mystring), no longer
needs the second parameter and it is unused. With this, __assign_str()
will now only get a single parameter.

There's over 700 users of __assign_str() and because coccinelle does not
handle the TRACE_EVENT() macro I ended up using the following sed script:

      mv /tmp/test-file $a;
  done

I then searched for __assign_str() that did not end with ';' as those

  __assign_rel_str()
  __assign_rel_str_len()

I tested this with both an allmodconfig and an allyesconfig (build only for both).

1d26ba0944 usb: dwc3: Wait unconditionally after issuing EndXfer command
Currently all controller IP/revisions except DWC3_usb3 >= 310a
wait 1ms unconditionally for ENDXFER completion when IOC is not
set. This is because DWC_usb3 controller revisions >= 3.10a
supports GUCTL2[14: Rst_actbitlater] bit which allows polling
CMDACT bit to know whether ENDXFER command is completed.

Consider a case where an IN request was queued, and parallelly
soft_disconnect was called (due to ffs_epfile_release). This
eventually calls stop_active_transfer with IOC cleared, hence
send_gadget_ep_cmd() skips waiting for CMDACT cleared during
EndXfer. For DWC3 controllers with revisions >= 310a, we don't
forcefully wait for 1ms either, and we proceed by unmapping the
requests. If ENDXFER didn't complete by this time, it leads to
SMMU faults since the controller would still be accessing those
requests.

Fix this by ensuring ENDXFER completion by adding 1ms delay in
__dwc3_stop_active_transfer() unconditionally.

3f12222a4b usb: dwc3: core: Fix compile warning on s390 gcc in dwc3_get_phy call
Recent commit introduced support for reading Multiport PHYs and
while doing so iterated over an integer variable which runs from
[0-254] in the worst case scenario. But S390 compiler treats it as a
warning and complains that the integer write to string can go to 11
characters. Fix this by modifying iterator variable to u8.

a160e1202c usb: dwc3: qcom: Add multiport suspend/resume support for wrapper
Power event IRQ is used for wakeup either when the controller is
SuperSpeed capable but is missing an SuperSpeed PHY interrupt, or when
the GIC is not capable of detecting DP/DM High-Speed PHY interrupts.

The Power event IRQ stat register indicates whether the High-Speed
phy entered and exited L2 successfully during suspend and resume.
Indicate the same for all ports of a multiport controller.

2bfc9916a0 usb: dwc3: qcom: Refactor IRQ handling in glue driver
On multiport supported controllers, each port has its own DP/DM and
SuperSpeed (if super speed capable) interrupts. As per the bindings,
their interrupt names differ from single-port ones by having a "_x"
added as suffix (x being the port number). Identify from the interrupt
names whether the controller is a multiport controller or not.
Refactor dwc3_qcom_setup_irq() call to parse multiportinterrupts along
with non-multiport ones accordingly.

The logic for requesting interrupts is duplicated for each interrupt. In
the upcoming patches that introduces support for multiport, it would be
better to clean up the duplication before reading mulitport related
interrupts.

Refactor interrupt setup call by adding a new helper function for
requesting the wakeup interrupts. To simplify implementation, make
the display name same as the interrupt name expected in Device tree.

30a46746ca usb: dwc3: core: Refactor PHY logic to support Multiport Controller
Currently the DWC3 driver supports only single port controller
which requires at least one HS PHY and at most one SS PHY.

But the DWC3 USB controller can be connected to multiple ports and
each port can have their own PHYs. Each port of the multiport
controller can either be HS+SS capable or HS only capable
Proper quantification of them is required to modify GUSB2PHYCFG
and GUSB3PIPECTL registers appropriately.

DWC3 multiport controllers are capable to service at most 15 High Speed
PHYs and 4 Supser Speed PHYs. Add support for detecting, obtaining and
configuring PHYs supported by a multiport controller.

89d7f96299 usb: dwc3: core: Skip setting event buffers for host only controllers
On some SoC's like SA8295P where the tertiary controller is host-only
capable, GEVTADDRHI/LO, GEVTSIZ, GEVTCOUNT registers are not accessible.
Trying to access them leads to a crash.

For DRD/Peripheral supported controllers, event buffer setup is done
again in gadget_pullup. Skip setup or cleanup of event buffers if
controller is host-only capable.

921e109c62 usb: dwc3: core: Access XHCI address space temporarily to read port info
All DWC3 Multi Port controllers that exist today only support host mode.
Temporarily map XHCI address space for host-only controllers and parse
XHCI Extended Capabilities registers to read number of usb2 ports and
usb3 ports present on multiport controller. Each USB Port is at least HS
capable.

The port info for usb2 and usb3 phy are identified as num_usb2_ports
and num_usb3_ports and these are used as iterators for phy operations
and for modifying GUSB2PHYCFG/ GUSB3PIPECTL registers accordingly.

6d73572206 usb: dwc3: core: Prevent phy suspend during init
GUSB3PIPECTL.SUSPENDENABLE and GUSB2PHYCFG.SUSPHY should be cleared
during initialization. Suspend during initialization can result in
undefined behavior due to clock synchronization failure, which often
seen as core soft reset timeout.

The programming guide recommended these bits to be cleared during
initialization for DWC_usb3.0 version 1.94 and above (along with
DWC_usb31 and DWC_usb32). The current check in the driver does not
account if it's set by default setting from coreConsultant.

This is especially the case for DRD when switching mode to ensure the
phy clocks are available to change mode. Depending on the
platforms/design, some may be affected more than others. This is noted
in the DWC_usb3x programming guide under the above registers.

Let's just disable them during driver load and mode switching. Restore
them when the controller initialization completes.

Note that some platforms workaround this issue by disabling phy suspend
through "snps,dis_u3_susphy_quirk" and "snps,dis_u2_susphy_quirk" when
they should not need to.

The dwc->maximum_speed is determined through the device capability and
designer's constraint through device tree binding. If none of them
applies, don't let the default coreConsultant setting in GUCTL1 to limit
the device operating speed.

Normally the default setting will not contradict the device capability
or device tree binding. This scenario was found through our internal
tests, not an actual bug in the wild.

The DWC3_EP_RESOURCE_ALLOCATED flag ensures that the resource of an
endpoint is only assigned once. Unless the endpoint is reset, don't
clear this flag. Otherwise we may set endpoint resource again, which
prevents the driver from initiate transfer after handling a STALL or
endpoint halt to the control endpoint.

0fb782b5d5 usb: dwc3: pci: Don't set "linux,phy_charger_detect" property on Lenovo Yoga Tab2 1380
The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro 1380 model is the exception to the rule that
devices which use the Crystal Cove PMIC without using ACPI for battery and
AC power_supply class support use the USB-phy for charger detection.

Unlike the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 830 / 1050 models this model has an extra
LC824206XA Micro USB switch which does the charger detection.

Add a DMI quirk to not set the "linux,phy_charger_detect" property on
the 1380 model. This quirk matches on the BIOS version to differentiate
the 1380 model from the 830 and 1050 models which otherwise have
the same DMI strings.

f9aa41130a usb: dwc3: Properly set system wakeup
If the device is configured for system wakeup, then make sure that the
xHCI driver knows about it and make sure to permit wakeup only at the
appropriate time.

For host mode, if the controller goes through the dwc3 code path, then a
child xHCI platform device is created. Make sure the platform device
also inherits the wakeup setting for xHCI to enable remote wakeup.

For device mode, make sure to disable system wakeup if no gadget driver
is bound. We may experience unwanted system wakeup due to the wakeup
signal from the controller PMU detecting connection/disconnection when
in low power (D3). E.g. In the case of Steam Deck, the PCI PME prevents
the system staying in suspend.

All AM62 devices have Errata i2409 [1] due to which
USB2 PHY may lock up due to short suspend.

Workaround involves setting bit 5 and 4 PLL_REG12
in PHY2 register space after USB controller is brought
out of LPSC reset but before controller initialization.

6661befe41 usb: dwc3-am62: fix module unload/reload behavior
As runtime PM is enabled, the module can be runtime
suspended when .remove() is called.

Do a pm_runtime_get_sync() to make sure module is active
before doing any register operations.

Doing a pm_runtime_put_sync() should disable the refclk
so no need to disable it again.

41717b88ab usb: dwc3: qcom: Remove ACPI support from glue driver
Minimal ACPI support was added to the Qualcomm DWC3 glue driver in order to
enable USB on SDM850 and SC8180X compute platforms. The support is still
functional, but unnoticed regressions in other drivers indicates that no
one actually booting any of platforms dependent on this implementation.

The functionality provides is the bare minimum and is not expected to aid
in the effort of bringing full ACPI support to the driver in the future.

Remove the ACPI code from the Qualcomm DWC3 glue driver to aid in the
implementation of improvements that are actually used like multiport and
flattening device tree.

It is safer to keep vbus disabled before handing over to xhci driver. So
needn't 'snps,host-vbus-glitches' property to enable it and apply it
unconditionally.

Remove all host_vbus_glitches variable and call
dwc3_power_off_all_roothub_ports() directly.

b311048c17 usb: dwc3: gadget: Rewrite endpoint allocation flow
The driver dwc3 deviates from the programming guide in regard to
endpoint configuration. It does this command sequence:

DEPSTARTCFG -> DEPXFERCFG -> DEPCFG

Instead of the suggested flow:

DEPSTARTCFG -> DEPCFG -> DEPXFERCFG

The reasons for this deviation were as follow, quoted:

	1) The databook says to do %DWC3_DEPCMD_DEPSTARTCFG for every
	   %USB_REQ_SET_CONFIGURATION and %USB_REQ_SET_INTERFACE
	   (8.1.5). This is incorrect in the scenario of multiple
	   interfaces.

	2) The databook does not mention doing more
	   %DWC3_DEPCMD_DEPXFERCFG for new endpoint on alt setting
	   (8.1.6).

Regarding 1), DEPSTARTCFG resets the endpoints' resource and can be a
problem if used with SET_INTERFACE request of a multiple interface
configuration. But we can still satisfy the programming guide
requirement by assigning the endpoint resource as part of
usb_ep_enable(). We will only reset endpoint resources on controller
initialization and SET_CONFIGURATION request.

Regarding 2), the later versions of the programming guide were updated
to clarify this flow (see "Alternate Initialization on SetInterface
Request" of the programming guide). As long as the platform has enough
physical endpoints, we can assign resource to a new endpoint.

The order of the command sequence will not be a problem to most
platforms for the current implementation of the dwc3 driver. However,
this order is required in different scenarios (such as initialization
during controller's hibernation restore). Let's keep the flow consistent
and follow the programming guide.
