The inline-defined constants look weird. Instead, define a proper enum
for them and type uart_port::iotype as that enum. This allows for proper
checking in switch-case labels (somewhere, a default or UPIO_UNKNOWN
label needs to be added/handled).

After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.
Convert all platform drivers below drivers/tty/serial to use .remove(),
with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

Apple's older A7-A9 SoCs seems to use bit 3 in UTRSTAT as RXTO, which is
enabled by bit 11 in UCON.
Access these bits in addition to the original RXTO and RXTO enable bits,
to allow serial rx to function on A7-A9 SoCs. This change does not
appear to affect the A10 SoC and up.

Apple's earlier SoCs, like A7-A11, requires 32-bit writes for the serial
port. Otherwise, a SError happens when writing to UTXH (+0x20). This only
manifested in earlycon as reg-io-width in the device tree is consulted
for normal serial writes.
Change the iotype of the port to UPIO_MEM32, to allow the serial port to
function on A7-A11 SoCs. This change does not appear to affect Apple M1 and
above.

The interrupt handler routines and helpers are casting the 'void *'
pointer to 'struct exynos_uart_port *' all over the place.
There is no need for that, we can do the casting once and keep passing
the 'struct exynos_uart_port *', simplifying the code and saving a few
lines of code.
No functional changes.

Switch from struct circ_buf to proper kfifo. kfifo provides much better
API, esp. when wrap-around of the buffer needs to be taken into account.
Look at pl011_dma_tx_refill() or cpm_uart_tx_pump() changes for example.
Kfifo API can also fill in scatter-gather DMA structures, so it easier
for that use case too. Look at lpuart_dma_tx() for example. Note that
not all drivers can be converted to that (like atmel_serial), they
handle DMA specially.
Note that usb-serial uses kfifo for TX for ages.
omap needed a bit more care as it needs to put a char into FIFO to start
the DMA transfer when OMAP_DMA_TX_KICK is set. In that case, we have to
do kfifo_dma_out_prepare twice: once to find out the tx_size (to find
out if it is worths to do DMA at all -- size >= 4), the second time for
the actual transfer.
All traces of circ_buf are removed from serial_core.h (and its struct
uart_state).

Currently for platforms which passes UART fifosize from DT gets
override by local driver structure "s3c24xx_serial_drv_data",
which is not intended. Change the code to honor fifosize from
device tree at first.

Since the driver was introduced the port features flags never extended.
As we don't expect more flags soon that would bypass the first
cacheline of ``struct s3c24xx_uart_info``, change the type of
``has_divslot`` to bool. Bitfields operations incur performance penalty
when set or read as compared to direct types.

<linux/serial_s3c.h> provides a clock selection pool of maximum 4 clocks.
Update the driver to consider a pool selection of maximum 8 clocks.
u8 is large enough to allow more clocks than are supported by the driver
now, and not too big to cause spanning of ``struct s3c24xx_uart_info``
through 2 cachelines when compiled for arm64. The goal is to reduce the
memory footprint of ``struct s3c24xx_uart_info``.

counterintuitive. Make the method return bool, and return true when TX

The bitwise AND with the fifo mask is used to check if the fifo is empty
or not, it doesn't care about the length, thus the comparison with zero

The entire bus (PERIC) on which the GS101 serial resides only allows
32-bit register accesses. The reg-io-width dt property is disallowed
for the "google,gs101-uart" compatible and instead the iotype is
inferred from the compatible. Always set UPIO_MEM32 iotype for the
gs101 earlycon.

GS101's Connectivity Peripheral blocks (peric0/1 blocks) which
include the I3C and USI (I2C, SPI, UART) only allow 32-bit
register accesses.
Instead of specifying the reg-io-width = 4 everywhere, for each node,
the requirement should be deduced from the compatible.
Infer UPIO_MEM32 iotype from the "google,gs101-uart" compatible.
Update the uart info name to be GS101 specific in order to
differentiate from the other exynos platforms. All the other settings
are not changed.
exynos_fifoszdt_serial_drv_data was replaced by gs101_serial_drv_data
because the iotype restriction is gs101 specific and there was no other
user of exynos_fifoszdt_serial_drv_data.

GS101's Connectivity Peripheral blocks (peric0/1 blocks) which

register accesses. If using 8-bit register accesses, a SError
Interrupt is raised causing the system unusable.
Instead of specifying the reg-io-width = 4 everywhere, for each node,
the requirement should be deduced from the compatible.
Prepare the samsung tty driver to allow IO types different than
UPIO_MEM. ``struct uart_port::iotype`` is an unsigned char where all
its 8 bits are exposed to uapi. We can't make NULL checks on it to
verify if it's set, thus always set it from the driver's data.
Use u8 for the ``iotype`` member of ``struct s3c24xx_uart_info`` to
emphasize that the iotype is an 8 bit mask.

The core expects for tx_empty() either TIOCSER_TEMT when the tx is
empty or 0 otherwise. s3c24xx_serial_txempty_nofifo() might return
0x4, and at least uart_get_lsr_info() tries to clear exactly
TIOCSER_TEMT (BIT(1)). Fix tx_empty() to return TIOCSER_TEMT.

Add serial driver data for Google Tensor gs101 SoC and a common

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.
To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

Commit 1ea35b3557 ("ARM: s3c: remove s3c24xx specific hacks") removed
support here for several old platforms, but kept support for earlycon
for those same platforms.
As earlycon support for otherwise unsupported platforms doesn't seem to
be useful, just drop it as well.

When support for various old platforms was removed in commit
1ea35b3557 ("ARM: s3c: remove s3c24xx specific hacks"),
s3c24xx_serial_ops also became unused here because nothing sets port
type TYPE_S3C24XX anymore.
Remove s3c24xx_serial_ops and all the code that's unreachable now.

When a serial port is used for kernel console output, then all
modifications to the UART registers which are done from other contexts,
e.g. getty, termios, are interference points for the kernel console.
So far this has been ignored and the printk output is based on the
principle of hope. The rework of the console infrastructure which aims to
support threaded and atomic consoles, requires to mark sections which
modify the UART registers as unsafe. This allows the atomic write function
to make informed decisions and eventually to restore operational state. It
also allows to prevent the regular UART code from modifying UART registers
while printk output is in progress.
All modifications of UART registers are guarded by the UART port lock,
which provides an obvious synchronization point with the console
infrastructure.
To avoid adding this functionality to all UART drivers, wrap the
spin_[un]lock*() invocations for uart_port::lock into helper functions
which just contain the spin_[un]lock*() invocations for now. In a
subsequent step these helpers will gain the console synchronization
mechanisms.
Converted with coccinelle. No functional change.

At least freeze, restore and thaw need to be set in order for the driver
to support system hibernation. The existing suspend/resume functions can
be reused since those functions don't touch the device's power state or
wakeup capability. Use the helper macros SET_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS and
SET_NOIRQ_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS for symmetry with similar drivers.

When the best clk is searched, we iterate over all possible clk.
If we find a better match, the previous one, if any, needs to be freed.
If a better match has already been found, we still need to free the new
one, otherwise it leaks.

A number of device drivers reference CONFIG_ARM_S3C24XX_CPUFREQ or
similar symbols that are no longer available with the platform gone,
though the drivers themselves are still used on newer platforms,
so remove these hacks.

Here is the "big" set of tty/serial driver changes for 6.2-rc1.
As in previous kernel releases, nothing big here at all, just some small
incremental serial/tty layer cleanups and some individual driver
additions and fixes. Highlights are:
- serial helper macros from Jiri Slaby to reduce the amount of
duplicated code in serial drivers
- api cleanups and consolidations from Ilpo Järvinen in lots of serial
drivers
- the usual set of n_gsm fixes from Daniel Starke as that code gets
exercised more
- TIOCSTI is finally able to be disabled if requested (security
hardening feature from Kees Cook)
- fsl_lpuart driver fixes and features added
- other small serial driver additions and fixes
All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
problems.

It was delayed from last week as I wanted to make sure the last commit
here got some good testing in linux-next and elsewhere as it seemed to
show up only late in testing for some reason.
Nothing major here, just lots of cleanups from Jiri and Ilpo to make the
tty core cleaner (Jiri) and the rs485 code simpler to use (Ilpo). Also
included in here is the obligatory n_gsm updates from Daniel Starke and
lots of tiny driver updates and minor fixes and tweaks for other smaller
serial drivers.

All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
problems.

S3C2410_UCON is a 32bit register, so it must be read with rd_regl()

Internal loopback mode can be supported by setting
UCON register's Loopback Mode bit. The mode & bit can be supported
since s3c2410 and later SoCs. The prefix of LOOPBACK / BIT(5) naming
should be also changed to S3C2410_ in order to avoid confusion.

Regarding Exynos Auto v9 SoC, it supports uarts up to 12. However, the
maximum number of the ports has been derived from
CONFIG_SERIAL_SAMSUNG_UARTS and tightly coupled with the config for
previous Samsung SoCs such as s3c24xx and s3c64xx. To overcome this
limitation, this changes the usage of the definition to UART_NR which is
widely used from other serial drivers. This also defines the value to 12
only for ARM64 SoCs to not affect the change to previous arm32 SoCs.
Instead of enumerating all the ports as predefined arrays, this
introduces s3c24xx_serial_init_port_default that is initializing the
structure as the default value.

The src_maxburst and dst_maxburst have been changed to 1 but the settings
of the UCON register aren't changed yet. They should be changed as well
according to the dmaengine slave config.
