0426bd18af net: phy: mxl-gpy: remove call to devm_hwmon_sanitize_name
Since c909e68f81 ("hwmon: (core) Use device name as a fallback in
devm_hwmon_device_register_with_info") we can simply provide NULL
as name argument.

45456e38c4 net: phy: Allow loopback speed selection for PHY drivers
PHY drivers support loopback mode, but it is not possible to select the
speed of the loopback mode. The speed is chosen by the set_loopback()
operation of the PHY driver. Same is valid for genphy_loopback().

There are PHYs that support loopback with different speeds. Extend
set_loopback() to make loopback speed selection possible.

cff865c700 net: phy: avoid undefined behavior in *_led_polarity_set()
gcc runs into undefined behavior at the end of the three led_polarity_set()
callback functions if it were called with a zero 'modes' argument and it
just ends the function there without returning from it.

This gets flagged by 'objtool' as a function that continues on
to the next one:

drivers/net/phy/aquantia/aquantia_leds.o: warning: objtool: aqr_phy_led_polarity_set+0xf: can't find jump dest instruction at .text+0x5d9
drivers/net/phy/intel-xway.o: warning: objtool: xway_gphy_led_polarity_set() falls through to next function xway_gphy_config_init()
drivers/net/phy/mxl-gpy.o: warning: objtool: gpy_led_polarity_set() falls through to next function gpy_led_hw_control_get()

There is no point to micro-optimize the behavior here to save a single-digit
number of bytes in the kernel, so just change this to a "return -EINVAL"
as we do when any unexpected bits are set.

5f4d487d01 net: phy: mxl-gpy: add MDINT workaround
At least the GPY215B and GPY215C has a bug where it is still driving the
interrupt line (MDINT) even after the interrupt status register is read
and its bits are cleared. This will cause an interrupt storm.

Although the MDINT is multiplexed with a GPIO pin and theoretically we
could switch the pinmux to GPIO input mode, this isn't possible because
the access to this register will stall exactly as long as the interrupt
line is asserted. We exploit this very fact and just read a random
internal register in our interrupt handler. This way, it will be delayed
until the external interrupt line is released and an interrupt storm is
avoided.

The internal register access via the mailbox was deduced by looking at
the downstream PHY API because the datasheet doesn't mention any of
this.
