b2908a989c net: phy: add driver for MaxLinear MxL86110 PHY
Add support for the MaxLinear MxL86110 Gigabit Ethernet PHY, a low-power,
cost-optimized transceiver supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps over twisted-pair
copper, compliant with IEEE 802.3.

The driver implements basic features such as:
- Device initialization
- RGMII interface timing configuration
- Wake-on-LAN support
- LED initialization and control via /sys/class/leds

This driver has been tested on multiple Variscite boards, including:
- VAR-SOM-MX93 (i.MX93)
- VAR-SOM-MX8M-PLUS (i.MX8MP)

830877d89e net: phy: Add support for Aeonsemi AS21xxx PHYs
Add support for Aeonsemi AS21xxx 10G C45 PHYs. These PHYs integrate
an IPC to setup some configuration and require special handling to
sync with the parity bit. The parity bit is a way the IPC use to
follow correct order of command sent.

Supported PHYs AS21011JB1, AS21011PB1, AS21010JB1, AS21010PB1,
AS21511JB1, AS21511PB1, AS21510JB1, AS21510PB1, AS21210JB1,
AS21210PB1 that all register with the PHY ID 0x7500 0x7510
before the firmware is loaded.

They all support up to 5 LEDs with various HW mode supported.

While implementing it was found some strange coincidence with using the
same logic for implementing C22 in MMD regs in Broadcom PHYs.

For reference here the AS21xxx PHY name logic:

31be641d74 net: phy: make mdio consumer / device layer a separate module
After having factored out the provider part from mdio_bus.c, we can
make the mdio consumer / device layer a separate module. This also
allows to remove Kconfig symbol MDIO_DEVICE.
The module init / exit functions from mdio_bus.c no longer have to be
called from phy_device.c. The link order defined in
drivers/net/phy/Makefile ensures that init / exit functions are called
in the right order.

73d952840d net: phy: remove Kconfig symbol MDIO_DEVRES
MDIO_DEVRES is only set where PHYLIB/PHYLINK are set which
select MDIO_DEVRES. So we can remove this symbol.

Note: Due to circular module dependencies we can't simply
      make mdio_devres.c part of phylib.

1310f44dd4 net: phy: remove redundant dependency on NETDEVICES for PHYLINK and PHYLIB
drivers/net/phy/Kconfig is included from drivers/net/Kconfig in an
"if NETDEVICES" section. Therefore we don't have to duplicate the
dependency here. And if e.g. PHYLINK is selected somewhere, then the
dependency is ignored anyway (see note in Kconfig help).

fd3eaad826 net: phy: add Applied Micro QT2025 PHY driver
This driver supports Applied Micro Circuits Corporation QT2025 PHY,
based on a driver for Tehuti Networks TN40xx chips.

The original driver for TN40xx chips supports multiple PHY hardware
(AMCC QT2025, TI TLK10232, Aqrate AQR105, and Marvell 88X3120,
88X3310, and MV88E2010). This driver is extracted from the original
driver and modified to a PHY driver in Rust.

This has been tested with Edimax EN-9320SFP+ 10G network adapter.

20f77dc724 net: phy: dp83tg720: Add cable testing support
Introduce cable testing support for the DP83TG720 PHY. This implementation
is based on the "DP83TG720S-Q1: Configuring for Open Alliance Specification
Compliance (Rev. B)" application note.

The feature has been tested with cables of various lengths:
- No cable: 1m till open reported.
- 5 meter cable: reported properly.
- 20 meter cable: reported as 19m.
- 40 meter cable: reported as cable ok.

71e7943011 net: phy: air_en8811h: Add the Airoha EN8811H PHY driver
Add the driver for the Airoha EN8811H 2.5 Gigabit PHY. The phy supports
100/1000/2500 Mbps with auto negotiation only.

The driver uses two firmware files, for which updated versions are added to
linux-firmware already.

Note: At phy-address + 8 there is another device on the mdio bus, that
belongs to the EN881H. While the original driver writes to it, Airoha
has confirmed this is not needed. Therefore, communication with this
device is not included in this driver.

a868b486cb net: phy: nxp-c45-tja11xx: add MACsec support
Add MACsec support.
The MACsec block has four TX SCs and four RX SCs. The driver supports up
to four SecY. Each SecY with one TX SC and one RX SC.
The RX SCs can have two keys, key A and key B, written in hardware and
enabled at the same time.
The TX SCs can have two keys written in hardware, but only one can be
active at a given time.
On TX, the SC is selected using the MAC source address. Due of this
selection mechanism, each offloaded netdev must have a unique MAC
address.
On RX, the SC is selected by SCI(found in SecTAG or calculated using MAC
SA), or using RX SC 0 as implicit.

f20fd5449a rust: core abstractions for network PHY drivers
This patch adds abstractions to implement network PHY drivers; the
driver registration and bindings for some of callback functions in
struct phy_driver and many genphy_ functions.

This feature is enabled with CONFIG_RUST_PHYLIB_ABSTRACTIONS=y.

This patch enables unstable const_maybe_uninit_zeroed feature for
kernel crate to enable unsafe code to handle a constant value with
uninitialized data. With the feature, the abstractions can initialize
a phy_driver structure with zero easily; instead of initializing all
the members by hand. It's supposed to be stable in the not so distant
future.

cb80ee2f9b net: phy: Add support for the DP83TG720S Ethernet PHY
The DP83TG720S-Q1 device is an IEEE 802.3bp and Open Alliance compliant
automotive Ethernet physical layer transceiver.

This driver was tested with i.MX8MP EQOS (stmmac) on the MAC side and
same TI PHY on other side.

8b305ee2a9 net: phy: smsc: add WoL support to LAN8740/LAN8742 PHYs
Microchip LAN8740/LAN8742 PHYs support basic unicast, broadcast, and
Magic Packet WoL.  They have one pattern filter matching up to 128 bytes
of frame data, which can be used to implement ARP or multicast WoL.

ARP WoL matches any ARP frame with broadcast address.

Multicast WoL matches any multicast frame.

The new phy driver attempts to select a driver from another subsystem,
but that fails when the NVMEM subsystem is disabled:

I could not see an actual compile time dependency, so presumably this
is only needed for for working correctly but not technically a dependency
on that particular nvmem driver implementation, so it would likely
be safe to remove the select for compile testing.

To keep the spirit of the original 'select', just replace this with a
'depends on' that ensures that the driver will work but does not get in
the way of build testing.

98c485eaf5 net: phy: add driver for MediaTek SoC built-in GE PHYs
Some of MediaTek's Filogic SoCs come with built-in gigabit Ethernet
PHYs which require calibration data from the SoC's efuse.
Despite the similar design the driver doesn't share any code with the
existing mediatek-ge.c.
Add support for such PHYs by introducing a new driver with basic
support for MediaTek SoCs MT7981 and MT7988 built-in 1GE PHYs.

Add support for the Microchip LAN865x Rev.B0 10BASE-T1S Internal PHYs
(LAN8650/1). The LAN865x combines a Media Access Controller (MAC) and an
internal 10BASE-T1S Ethernet PHY to access 10BASE‑T1S networks. As

9b78d91963 net: phy: hide the PHYLIB_LEDS knob
commit 4bb7aac70b ("net: phy: fix circular LEDS_CLASS dependencies")
solved a build failure, but introduces a new config knob with a default
'y' value: PHYLIB_LEDS.

The latter is against the current new config policy. The exception
was raised to allow the user to catch bad configurations without led
support.

Anyway the current definition of PHYLIB_LEDS does not fit the above
goal: if LEDS_CLASS is disabled, the new config will be available
only with PHYLIB disabled, too.

Hide the mentioned config, to preserve the randconfig testing done so
far, while respecting the mentioned policy.

f3b766d981 net: phy: add basic driver for NXP CBTX PHY
The CBTX PHY is a Fast Ethernet PHY integrated into the SJA1110 A/B/C
automotive Ethernet switches.

It was hoped it would work with the Generic PHY driver, but alas, it
doesn't. The most important reason why is that the PHY is powered down
by default, and it needs a vendor register to power it on.

It has a linear memory map that is accessed over SPI by the SJA1110
switch driver, which exposes a fake MDIO controller. It has the
following (and only the following) standard clause 22 registers:

0x0: MII_BMCR
0x1: MII_BMSR
0x2: MII_PHYSID1
0x3: MII_PHYSID2
0x4: MII_ADVERTISE
0x5: MII_LPA
0x6: MII_EXPANSION
0x7: the missing MII_NPAGE for Next Page Transmit Register

Every other register is vendor-defined.

The register map expands the standard clause 22 5-bit address space of
0x20 registers, however the driver does not need to access the extra
registers for now (and hopefully never). If it ever needs to do that, it
is possible to implement a fake (software) page switching mechanism
between the PHY driver and the SJA1110 MDIO controller driver.

Also, Auto-MDIX is turned off by default in hardware, the driver turns
it on by default and reports the current status. I've tested this with a
VSC8514 link partner and a crossover cable, by forcing the mode on the
link partner, and seeing that the CBTX PHY always sees the reverse of
the mode forced on the VSC8514 (and that traffic works). The link
doesn't come up (as expected) if MDI modes are forced on both ends in
the same way (with the cross-over cable, that is).

4bb7aac70b net: phy: fix circular LEDS_CLASS dependencies
The CONFIG_PHYLIB symbol is selected by a number of device drivers that
need PHY support, but it now has a dependency on CONFIG_LEDS_CLASS,
which may not be enabled, causing build failures.

Avoid the risk of missing and circular dependencies by guarding the
phylib LED support itself in another Kconfig symbol that can only be
enabled if the dependency is met.

This could be made a hidden symbol and always enabled when both CONFIG_OF
and CONFIG_LEDS_CLASS are reachable from the phylib, but there may be an
advantage in having users see this option when they have a misconfigured
kernel without built-in LED support.

01e5b728e9 net: phy: Add a binding for PHY LEDs
Define common binding parsing for all PHY drivers with LEDs using
phylib. Parse the DT as part of the phy_probe and add LEDs to the
linux LED class infrastructure. For the moment, provide a dummy
brightness function, which will later be replaced with a call into the
PHY driver. This allows testing since the LED core might otherwise
reject an LED whose brightness cannot be set.

Add a dependency on LED_CLASS. It either needs to be built in, or not
enabled, since a modular build can result in linker errors.

be66fcc16c net: phy: meson-gxl: reuse functionality of the SMSC PHY driver
The Amlogic Meson internal PHY's have the same register layout as
certain SMSC PHY's (also for non-c22-standard registers). This seems
to be more than just coincidence. Apparently they also need the same
workaround for EDPD mode (energy detect power down). Therefore let's
reuse SMSC PHY driver functionality in the meson-gxl PHY driver.

Tested with a G12A internal PHY. I don't have GXL test hw,
therefore I replace only the callbacks that are identical in
the SMSC PHY driver.

We added patch for motorcomm.c to support YT8531S. This patch has
been tested on AM335x platform which has one YT8531S interface
card and passed all test cases.
The tested cases indluding: YT8531S UTP function with support of
10M/100M/1000M; YT8531S Fiber function with support of 100M/1000M;
and YT8531S Combo function that supports auto detection of media type.

Since most functions of YT8531S are similar to YT8521 and we reuse some
codes for YT8521 in the patch file.
