9858c74c29 HID: a4tech: use A4_2WHEEL_MOUSE_HACK_B8 for A4TECH NB-95
This mouse has a horizontal wheel that requires special handling.
Without this patch, the horizontal wheel acts like a vertical wheel.

In the output of `hidrd-convert` for this mouse, there is a
`Usage (B8h)` field. It corresponds to a byte in packets sent by the
device that specifies which wheel generated an input event.

The name "A4TECH" is spelled in all capitals on the company website.

ed80bdc457 HID: quirks: Add HID_QUIRK_NO_INIT_REPORTS quirk for Dell K15A keyboard-dock
Just like the K12A the Dell K15A keyboard-dock has problems with
get_feature requests. This sometimes leads to several
"failed to fetch feature 8" messages getting logged, after which the
touchpad may or may not work.

Just like the K15A these errors are triggered by undocking and docking
the tablet.

There also seem to be other problems when undocking and then docking again
in quick succession. It seems that in this case the keyboard-controller
still retains some power from capacitors and does not go through a
power-on-reset leaving it in a confuses state, symptoms of this are:

1. The USB-ids changing to 048d:8910
2. Failure to read the HID descriptors on the second (mouse) USB intf.
3. The touchpad freezing after a while

These problems can all be cleared by undocking the keyboard and waiting
a full minute before redocking it. Unfortunately there is nothing we can
do about this in the kernel.

25bdbfbb2d HID: quirks: Set INCREMENT_USAGE_ON_DUPLICATE for Saitek X65
The Saitek X65 joystick has a pair of axes that were used as mouse
pointer controls by the Windows driver. The corresponding usage page is
the Game Controls page, which is not recognized by the generic HID
driver, and therefore, both axes get mapped to ABS_MISC. The quirk makes
the second axis get mapped to ABS_MISC+1, and therefore made available
separately.

6a01268687 HID: semitek: new driver for GK6X series keyboards
A number of USB keyboards, using the Semitek firmware, are capable of
handling arbitrary N-key rollover, but due to a buggy report
descriptor, keys beyond the sixth cannot be detected by the generic
HID driver.

There are numerous hardware variants sold by several vendors, mostly
using generic names like "GK61" for the 61-key version. These
keyboards are sometimes known collectively as the "GK6X" series.

The keyboard has three USB interfaces. Interface 0 uses the standard
HID boot protocol, limited to eight modifier keys and six normal keys;
interface 2 uses a custom report format that permits any number of
keys. If more than six keys are pressed simultaneously, the first six
are reported via interface 0 while subsequent keys are reported via
interface 2.

(Interface 1 uses a custom protocol for reprogramming the keyboard;
this can be controlled through userspace tools and is not of concern
for the present driver.)

The report descriptor for interface 2, however, is incorrect (for
report ID 0x04, the input field is marked as "array" rather than
"variable".) The descriptor appears to be correct in other respects,
so we simply replace the incorrect byte before parsing the descriptor.

f567d6ef86 HID: plantronics: Workaround for double volume key presses
Plantronics Blackwire 3220 Series (047f:c056) sends HID reports twice
for each volume key press. This patch adds a quirk to hid-plantronics
for this product ID, which will ignore the second volume key press if
it happens within 5 ms from the last one that was handled.

The patch was tested on the mentioned model only, it shouldn't affect
other models, however, this quirk might be needed for them too.
Auto-repeat (when a key is held pressed) is not affected, because the
rate is about 3 times per second, which is far less frequent than once
in 5 ms.

434f77092e HID: logitech-dj: Handle newer quad/bt2.0 receivers in HID proxy mode
The Dinovo Edge and Dinovo Mini keyboards with builtin touchpad come with
a different version of the quad/bt2.0 combo receivers shipped with the
MX5000 and MX5500 keyboards. These receivers are compatible with one
another, e.g. the Dinovo Edge keyboard can be paired with the MX5000
receiver.

Like the MX5x00 receivers in HID proxy mode these receivers present
themselves as a hub with multiple USB-HID devices, one for the keyboard
and one for the mouse.

Where they differ is that the mouse USB-device has 2 input reports for
reporting mice events. It has the exact same INPUT(2) report as the
MX5x00 receivers, but it also has a second INPUT(5) mouse report which
is different; and when the Dinovo receivers are paired with the Dinovo
keyboards the second INPUT(5) mouse report is actually used for events
on the builtin touchpad.

Add support for handling the Dinovo quad/bluetooth-2.0 combo receivers
in HID proxy mode to logitech-dj, like we already do for the similar
MX5000 and MX5500 receivers.

This adds battery monitoring functionality (through logitech-hidpp) and
fixes the Phone (Fn + F1) and "[A]" - "[D]" (Fn + F9 - F12) hotkeys not
working on the Dinovo Edge.

Note these receivers present themselves as a hub with 2 separate USB
devices for the keyboard and mouse; and the logitech-dj code needs to
bind to both devices (just as with the MX5x00 receivers).

652f3d00de HID: cypress: Support Varmilo Keyboards' media hotkeys
The Varmilo VA104M Keyboard (04b4:07b1, reported as Varmilo Z104M)
exposes media control hotkeys as a USB HID consumer control device, but
these keys do not work in the current (5.8-rc1) kernel due to the
incorrect HID report descriptor. Fix the problem by modifying the
internal HID report descriptor.

More specifically, the keyboard report descriptor specifies the
logical boundary as 572~10754 (0x023c ~ 0x2a02) while the usage
boundary is specified as 0~10754 (0x00 ~ 0x2a02). This results in an
incorrect interpretation of input reports, causing inputs to be ignored.
By setting the Logical Minimum to zero, we align the logical boundary
with the Usage ID boundary.

Some notes:

* There seem to be multiple variants of the VA104M keyboard. This
  patch specifically targets 04b4:07b1 variant.

* The device works out-of-the-box on Windows platform with the generic
consumer control device driver (hidserv.inf). This suggests that
Windows either ignores the Logical Minimum/Logical Maximum or
interprets the Usage ID assignment differently from the linux
implementation; Maybe there are other devices out there that only
works on Windows due to this problem?

77a36a3ab4 HID: Add driver fixing Glorious PC Gaming Race mouse report descriptor
The Glorious Model O mice (and also at least the Model O-, which is
driver-wise the same mouse) have a bug in the descriptor of HID
Report with ID 2. This report is used for Consumer Control buttons,
which can be mapped using the provided Windows only software.

Here is an excerpt from the original descriptor:

  INPUT(2)[INPUT]
    Field(0)
      Flags( Constant Variable Absolute )
    Field(1)
      Flags( Constant Variable Absolute )
    Field(2)
      Flags( Constant Variable Absolute )

The issue is the Constant flag specified on all 3 fields, which
causes the hid driver to ignore changes in these fields and
essentialy causes the buttons to not work at all. The submitted driver
patches the descriptor to end up with the following:

  INPUT(2)[INPUT]
    Field(0)
      Flags( Variable Relative )
    Field(1)
      Flags( Variable Relative )
    Field(2)
      Flags( Variable Relative )

The Constant bit is reset and the Relative bit has been set in
order to prevent repeat events when holding down the button.

Additionally, the device name is changed from the hardware-reported
"SINOWEALTH Wired Gaming Mouse" to "Glorious Model O" or "Glorious
Model D".

Add support for the gaming and LCD menu keys on the G510 keyboard.

Note this commit does not add support for the keyboard and LCD backlight
and the status LEDs, this is done in a follow up commit.

Note the G510 generates 4 different input reports on its second
(Consumer Keys) interface:

-input report 1 is standard bootclass keyboard input report, mirroring
 normal keyboard interface
-input report 2 is consumer page keys
-input report 3 is gkeys, etc.
-input report 4 is LED status, single byte, bits:
bit 2: kbd and LCD backlight is *off* when set, toggled by the light key
 bit 3: headphone mute LED
 bit 4: mic mute LED

Input-report 1 we ignore since this is a duplicate report from the first
interface, report 2 is handled by the regular hid-input code. In this
commit we add handling for input report 3.

10235380d1 HID: rmi: Use SET_REPORT request on control endpoint for Acer Switch 3 and 5
The touchpad on the cover keyboard for the Acer Switch 3 and 5 does not
work as-is under Linux. Both devices have the same usb id for the cover
keyboard.

The kernel correctly assigns the hid-rmi driver to the device using usbhid
for transport.
Any attempts of hid-rmi to talk to the device using hid_hw_output_report
fail however as usbhid does not have a working urbout due to the lack of
any out endpoints.

Looking through Wireshark usbmon recordings from the Windows Synaptics
driver for this computer running inside of QEMU shows that it should be
using SET_REPORT requests instead.

This replaces the hid_hw_output_report in hid-rmi with a
hid_hw_raw_request for this device, which is at least enough to enable
the kernel to get working multi-touch input.

74808f9115 HID: logitech-dj: add support for non unifying receivers
We emulate the DJ functionality through the driver.

The receiver supports "fake device arrival" which behaves
like the probing of DJ devices.

A non-unifying receiver has 2 USB interfaces, the first one generates
standard keypresses and is compatible with the USB Keyboard Boot Subclass.
The second interface sends events for the mouse and special keys such as
the consumer-page keys. Events are split this way for BIOS / Windows /
generic-hid driver compatibility. This split does not actually match with
which device the event originate from, e.g. the consumer-page key events
originate from the keyboard but are delivered on the mouse interface.

To make sure the events are actually delivered to the dj_device
representing the originating device, we pick which dj_dev to forward
a "regular" input-report to based on the report-number, rather
then based on the originating interface.

likely another ITE based design. The controller die is directly bonded
to the PCB with a blob of black glue on top so there are no markings and
the 258a vendor-id used is unknown anywhere. But the keyboard has the
exact same hotkeys mapped to Fn+F1 - F10 as the other ITE8595 keyboard
I have *and* it has the same quirky behavior wrt the rfkill hotkey.

Either way as said this keyboard has the same quirk for its rfkill /
airplane mode hotkey as the ITE 8595 chip, it only sends a single release
event when pressed and released, it never sends a press event.

This commit adds the 258a:6a88 USB id to the hid-ite id-table, fixing
the rfkill key not working on this keyboard.

Raydium touchpanel (2386:4B33) sometimes does not work in desktop session
although it works in display manager.

During user logging, the display manager exits, close the HID device,

If the trasition from display manager to desktop sesesion is fast, the

afbb1169ed HID: i2c-hid: Remove RESEND_REPORT_DESCR quirk and its handling
Commit 52cf93e63e ("HID: i2c-hid: Don't reset device upon system resume")
removes the need for the RESEND_REPORT_DESCR quirk for Raydium devices, but
kept it for the SIS device id 10FB touchscreens, as the author of that
commit could not determine if the quirk is still necessary there.

I've tested suspend/resume on a Toshiba Click Mini L9W-B which is the
device for which this quirk was added in the first place and with the
"Don't reset device upon system resume" fix the quirk is no longer
necessary, so this commit removes it.

Note even better I also had some other devices with SIS touchscreens which
suspend/resume issues, where the RESEND_REPORT_DESCR quirk did not help.

I've also tested these devices with the "Don't reset device upon system
resume" fix and I'm happy to report that that fix also fixes touchscreen
resume on the following devices:

Asus T100HA

	[ 179.085033] i2c_hid i2c-CUST0000:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report (58/65535)

According to Raydium, Windows driver does not reset the device after system
resume.

The HID over I2C spec does specify a reset should be used at intialization, but
it doesn't specify if reset is required for system suspend.

Tested this patch on other i2c-hid touchpanels I have and those touchpanels do
work after S3 without doing reset. If any regression happens to other
touchpanel vendors, we can use quirk for Raydium devices.

There's still one device uses I2C_HID_QUIRK_RESEND_REPORT_DESCR so keep it
there.

c164d6abf3 HID: add driver for Valve Steam Controller
There are two ways to connect the Steam Controller: directly to the USB
or with the USB wireless adapter. Both methods are similar, but the
wireless adapter can connect up to 4 devices at the same time.

The wired device will appear as 3 interfaces: a virtual mouse, a virtual
keyboard and a custom HID device.

The wireless device will appear as 5 interfaces: a virtual keyboard and
4 custom HID devices, that will remain silent until a device is actually
connected.

The custom HID device has a report descriptor with all vendor specific
usages, so the hid-generic is not very useful. In a PC/SteamBox Valve
Steam Client provices a software translation by using hidraw and a
creates a uinput virtual gamepad and XTest keyboard/mouse.

This driver intercepts the hidraw usage, so it can get out of the way
when the Steam Client is in use.

fbb77e88f0 HID: elecom: add support for EX-G M-XT4DRBK trackball

This is a left handed EX-G variant which only comes in a wireless (D)
model. It has a total of 6 buttons but one of these is not available
because of how the HID descriptor is configured.

79837eded6 HID: elecom: refer to trackballs by model name instead of series
This patch changes all references to ELECOM trackballs using their
series name to refer to them by their model name.

ELECOM provides multiple series of mice such as EX-G, HUGE, and DEFT.
Although it has not caused conflicts in the driver, there can be more
than one iteration of mice in each series. For example, there are 7
variants of EX-G trackballs but only three (M-XT3URBK, M-XT3DRBK, and
M-XT4DRBK) need a driver to work correctly.

There are also 4 DEFT series trackballs but two of them have the same
VID:PID as the other two. I picked the earlier model for the naming of
the PID macros.

ac58eec2c5 HID: elecom: rewrite report fixup for EX-G and future mice
This patch rewrites the mouse report fixup used for the DEFT and HUGE
elecom trackballs in order to make it generic enough to fix other
elecom mice with similar issues. This patch also uses this new report
fixup function to fix the Elecom EX-G trackball which has 6 physical
buttons and a similar issue to the other two mice.

Elecom's track record has so far shown that they like to re-use the
same report descriptor for multiple different mice regardless of the
number of buttons the mouse has. This means that the missing buttons
on multiple mice can be fixed in one function without introducing
phantom buttons which would in turn cause the number of mouse buttons
to be misreported to userspace.

This patch drops the very verbose report descriptor "diff" comment for
a more abridged yet hopefully just as informative generic version.

402946a8ef HID: i2c-hid: Add no-irq-after-reset quirk for 0911:5288 device
Several cheap Apollo Lake based laptops / 2-in-1s use an i2c-hid mt
touchpad which is advertised by the DSDT with an ACPI HID of "SYNA3602",
this touchpad can be found on e.g. the Cube Thinker and the EZBook 3 Pro.

On my "T-bao Tbook air" the i2c-hid driver fails to bind to this touchpad:
"i2c_hid i2c-SYNA3602:00: failed to reset device.".

After some debuging this it seems that this touchpad simply never sends
an interrupt after a reset as expected by the i2c hid driver. This commit
adds a quirk for this device, making i2c_hid_command sleep 100ms after
a reset instead of waiting for an irq, fixing i2c-hid failing to bind to
this touchpad.

ALWAYS_POLL or will disconnect in runlevel 1 or 3.

76dd1fbebb HID: asus: Add support for T100 keyboard
The keyboard dock used with the Asus Transformer T100 series, uses
the same vendor-defined 0xff31 usage-page as some other Asus
keyboards. But with a small twist, it has a small descriptor bug which
needs to be fixed up for things to work.

This commit adds the USB-ID for this keyboard to the hid-asus driver
and makes asus_report_fixup fix the descriptor issue, fixing
various special function keys on this keyboard not working.

0bb7a37f8d HID: elecom: extend to fix the descriptor for DEFT trackballs
The ELECOM DEFT trackballs report only five buttons, when the device
actually has 8. Change the descriptor so that the HID driver can see all of
them.

For completeness and future reference, I included a side-by-side diff of
the part of the descriptor that is being edited.
