0f2ab6a773 drm/i915/irq: move i915->irq_lock to display->irq.lock
Observe that i915->irq_lock is no longer used to protect anything
outside of display. Make it a display thing.

This allows us to remove the ugly #define irq_lock irq.lock hack from xe
compat header.

Note that this is slightly more subtle than it first looks. For i915,
there's no functional change here. The lock is moved. However, for xe,
we'll now have *two* locks, xe->irq.lock and display->irq.lock. These
should protect different things, though. Indeed, nesting in the past
would've lead to a deadlock because they were the same lock.

With the i915 references gone, we can make a handful more files
independent of i915_drv.h.

2fff55d499 drm/xe/compat: refactor compat i915_drv.h
The compat i915_drv.h contains things that aren't there in the original
i915_drv.h. Split out gem/i915_gem_object.h and i915_scheduler_types.h,
moving the corresponding pieces out, including FORCEWAKE_ALL to
intel_uncore.h.

Technically I915_PRIORITY_DISPLAY should be in i915_priolist_types.h,
but it's a bit overkill to split out another file just for
that. i915_scheduler_types.h shall do.

With this, the compat i915_drv.h becomes a strict subset of the
original.

5eb2e78559 drm/i915/display: use x100 version for full version and release
Use x100, or ver * 100 + rel, versions for full IP version checks,
similar to what xe driver does:

- Replace IP_VER(14, 1) inline with 1401, etc.

- Convert DISPLAY_VER_FULL() to DISPLAY_VERx100()

- Convert IS_DISPLAY_VER_FULL() to IS_DISPLAY_VERx100()

- Convert IS_DISPLAY_VER_STEP() to IS_DISPLAY_VERx100_STEP()

This makes ver.rel versions easier to use, follows the xe driver
pattern, and drops the dependency on the IP_VER() macro.

v2: Rebase, drop IP_VER() from xe compat headers

v3: Rebase

06f4d32843 drm/i915: remove IS_LP()
The .is_lp member of struct intel_device_info and its wrapper IS_LP()
are used to identify just four platforms, VLV/CHV/BXT/GLK. It didn't
become as important as it was perhaps originally planned. Just remove
it, and replace with exact platform identification. In a few places this
becomes slightly verbose, but in many places it improves clarity to
immediately see the exact platforms.

Additionally, this lets us remove the xe compat macro.

Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie:
 "This is the main pull request for the drm subsystems for 6.10.

  In drivers the main thing is a new driver for ARM Mali firmware based
  GPUs, otherwise there are a lot of changes to amdgpu/xe/i915/msm and
  scattered changes to everything else.

  In the core a bunch of headers and Kconfig was refactored, along with
  the addition of a new panic handler which is meant to provide a user

df04b152fc drm/xe/display: Fix ADL-N detection
Contrary to i915, in xe ADL-N is kept as a different platform, not a
subplatform of ADL-P. Since the display side doesn't need to
differentiate between P and N, i.e. IS_ALDERLAKE_P_N() is never called,
just fixup the compat header to check for both P and N.

Moving ADL-N to be a subplatform would be more complex as the firmware
loading in xe only handles platforms, not subplatforms, as going forward
the direction is to check on IP version rather than
platforms/subplatforms.

Fix warning when initializing display:

	xe 0000:00:02.0: [drm:intel_pch_type [xe]] Found Alder Lake PCH
	------------[ cut here ]------------
	xe 0000:00:02.0: drm_WARN_ON(!((dev_priv)->info.platform == XE_ALDERLAKE_S) && !((dev_priv)->info.platform == XE_ALDERLAKE_P))

And wrong paths being taken on the display side.

d6b4137822 drm/xe: Create a xe_pm_runtime_resume_and_get variant for display
Introduce the resume and get to fulfill the display need for checking
if the device was actually resumed (or it is awake) and the reference
was taken.

Then we can convert the remaining cases to a void function and have
individual functions for individual cases.

Also, already start this new function protected from the runtime
recursion, since runtime_pm will need to call for display functions
for a proper D3Cold flow.

3b85b7bccc drm/xe: Fix display runtime_pm handling
i915's intel_runtime_pm_get_if_in_use actually calls the
pm_runtime_get_if_active() with ign_usage_count = false, but Xe
was erroneously calling it with true because of the mem_access cases.

This can lead to unnecessary references getting hold here and device
never getting into the runtime suspended state.

Let's use directly the 'if_in_use' function provided by linux/pm_runtime.

Also, already start this new function protected from the runtime
recursion, since runtime_pm will need to call for display functions
for a proper D3Cold flow.

v2: Update commit message based on Matt's feedback.
    Fix return condition of pm_runtime_get_if_in_use (Matt)

44e694958b drm/xe/display: Implement display support
As for display, the intent is to share the display code with the i915
driver so that there is maximum reuse there.

We do this by recompiling i915/display code twice.
Now that i915 has been adapted to support the Xe build, we can add
the xe/display support.

This initial work is a collaboration of many people and unfortunately
this squashed patch won't fully honor the proper credits.
But let's try to add a few from the squashed patches:
