ASoC: Intel: nau8825/rt5682: move speaker widget to common modules
Two machine drivers sof_rt5682 and sof_nau8825 always register two
speaker widgets 'Left Spk' and 'Right Spk' regardless the actual
number of speakers. Move the widget registration to speaker common
modules to avoid useless speaker widgets for 1 or 4 speaker boards.

ASoC: Intel: sof_rt5682: use RT5682S_PLL1 if needed
When 96KHz sample rate is used, and MCLK is 24.576MHz, we will need
pll_in = 24576000 and pll_out = 49152000 which is not supported by
RT5682S_PLL2. Use RT5682S_PLL1 in this case.
We don't test sample rate because RT5682S_PLL2 doesn't support 24.576MHz
input and in the MCLK = 24.576MHz, sample rate = 48KHz case, i.e.
pll_in == pll_out, PLL will not be used at all.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: remove FOUR_SPEAKER quirks
This patch removes a confusion between speakers and amplifiers.

The existing code keeps track of the number of amplifiers and reports
it in the 'cfg-amp' component string.

The number of speakers is defined with quirks, but those quirks are
not consistently added: in the MeteorLake case, none of the supported
platforms used such a quirk, and UCM does not use the values reported
anyways. The notion of 'FOUR_SPEAKERS' is also obsolete now with some
platforms having more than four speakers.

Let's just remove all this and only report the number of amplifiers.

Add support for the optional speaker output on the cs42l43, this uses
the new SOF_CODEC_SPKR quirk to conditional include the speaker DAI

utilise this feature, but the feature is added as several systems are on
the horizon. As part of this SOF_SDW_MAX_DAI_NUM must be increased, it
is currently 3 but cs42l43 will now have 4 DAI links. This value is
increased to 8 to give some head room for future devices.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: Add quirk for optional codec speakers
Some codecs have speaker drivers that may or may not be used in a
given system. Add a quirk (SOF_CODEC_SPKR) that defines if a system
uses the codec speaker, this is kept generic such that any codec
with such a speaker DAI can reuse the quirk.

For implementation of this, add a quirk field into the
sof_sdw_dai_info structure. This field is not used to specify
if a system uses a particular quirk, that is still done through
the sof_sdw_quirk variable, this field is used to flag a DAI as
conditional on a certain quirk. This means the DAI will only be
included in the card if sof_sdw_quirk and the DAI quirk field have
a matching set bit.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: Move generation of DAI links to new parsing
The only part left using the old parsing code is now the generation of
the actual DAI links. Move this generation over to being based on the
new parsing, which allows the removal of the last of the old parsing
code.

The new DAI link generation is a simple matter of creating a new DAI
link for each sof_sdw_dailink struct, and adding a cpu, a codec, and
a mapping for each sof_sdw_endpoint contained in that sof_sdw_dailink.
Note that the CPUs can be inferred as the endpoint list is iterated,
because the endpoints were added into the list sorted by link.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: Move append_dai_type to new parsing
append_dai_type should be set to true in any situation that would
result in multiple DAI links existing on a single SoundWire bus,
because the legacy naming used only the bus number to make things
unique. The current code handles this by looking for codecs with
multiple dai_info structs and looking for buses that include multiple
types of device on them. The first of these assumes that all DAIs on a
given device would be in use. The second, with dissimilar aggregation
now being supported, isn't really an accurate check either since those
devices could be aggregated into a single DAI link.

Move the handling for this flag over to the new parsing code and
simplify things a little by looking directly for SoundWire links
that will contain multiple DAI links to set the flag. These changes
should not cause any change in behaviour for any currently supported
systems.

Use the output of the new snd_soc_acpi struct parsing for the purposes
of counting the number of SoundWire DAI links and physical devices
attached to the SoundWire. These counts are already returned by the

them both attempt to modify the same structures.

ASoC: Intel: sof-sdw: Add new code for parsing the snd_soc_acpi structs
The current machine driver code has a lot of loops parsing through
the ACPI structs (snd_soc_acpi_link_adr, snd_soc_acpi_adr_device,
snd_soc_acpi_endpoint), this makes it hard to understand exactly
what information is being extracted and for what purposes. As well
as being slightly inefficient, as the same information is looked
up multiple times. There are also some issues with the handling
of multiple endpoints on a single device, only the first of the
snd_soc_acpi_endpoint structures is currently fully processed by the
driver. This means doing things like aggregating the second endpoint
on a device with another device are not currently possible.

Add new parsing code that will count the devices and endpoints, parse
them into an intermediate datastructure, and then use that to create
the DAI links. This patch does not actually utilise the results of
the parsing, items will be moved across in the following patches.

This parsing is based around two new structures which are temporarily
allocated whilst parsing. Firstly, sof_sdw_endpoint, which represents
a specific endpoint for audio on a device and is more or less directly
equivalent to snd_soc_acpi_endpoint. Secondly, sof_sdw_dailink
which represents a DAI link and contains a linked list of one or
more sof_sdw_endpoints. A single trip through the snd_soc_acpi data
structures is used to populate these.

One important point to note here is the use of the num field in
snd_soc_acpi_endpoint to address sof_sdw_dai_info array in the
sof_sdw_codec_info struct. This expects a one to one mapping between
endpoints on a device and dai infos. It would be fine for a specific
system to not specify an endpoint for all of the dai infos available,
but two endpoints mapping to the same dai info would make not sense.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: Move get_codec_dai_by_name() into sof_sdw itself
Currently sof_sdw relies on sof_board_helpers to provide
get_codec_dai_by_name(), but that is the only function from
sof_board_helpers it uses and no other machine driver requires
that function. There is no reason for sof_sdw to select SSP_COMMON
but more and more functions in sof_board_helpers are gaining
dependencies on functions that would require stubs for sof_sdw to
build without it. Firstly it was sof_ssp_get_codec_name(), as was
fixed in commit c1469c3a8a ("ASoC: Intel: ssp-common: Add stub for
sof_ssp_get_codec_name"), now it is:

ERROR: modpost: "sof_ssp_detect_amp_type"

ERROR: modpost: "sof_ssp_detect_codec_type"
[sound/soc/intel/boards/snd-soc-intel-sof-board-helpers.ko] undefined!

Rather than adding more stubs, simply move the affected function
to the sof_sdw machine driver itself and no longer select
SND_SOC_INTEL_SOF_BOARD_HELPERS at all. This should allow work on
SSP_COMMON to progress without affecting sof_sdw.

ASoC: Harden DAPM route checks and Intel fixes
Merge series from Cezary Rojewski <cezary.rojewski@intel.com>:

Set of loosely connected patches. Most impactful change is dropping any
permisiveness when snd_soc_dapm_add_routes() fails in soc-topology.c To
do it safely, disable route checks for all skylake-driver boards.

Relevant background:

Since commit daa480bde6 ("ASoC: soc-core: tidyup for
snd_soc_dapm_add_routes()") route checks are no longer permissive. Probe
failures for Intel boards have been partially addressed by commit
a22ae72b86 ("ASoC: soc-core: isable route checks for legacy devices")
and its follow up but only skl_nau88l25_ssm4567.c is patched. The rest
of the boards still need fixing.

After that, removal of copy-pastas found in ssm4567.c and redundant code
in i2s_test.c for avs-boards.

Changes in v2:
- glk_rt5682_max98357a.c and skl_hda_dsp_generic.c now disable route
  checks only for the skylake-drvier
- asoc now logs failures of snd_soc_dapm_add_routes() in soc-topology.c

ASoC: Intel: board_helpers: support DAI link ID customization
Add an new field link_id_overwrite to sof_card_private structure to
support machine drivers which DAI link ID is fixed number or
discontinue (i.e. no-codec boards). If this field is zero, DAI array
index will be used as link ID. Otherwise the value extracted from
link_id_overwrite will be used.

The field link_id_overwrite is supposed to be initialized by
SOF_LINK_IDS macro like following example.

ctx->link_id_overwrite = SOF_LINK_IDS(HEADPHONE_BE_ID,  \
				      DMIC01_BE_ID, \
				      DMIC16K_BE_ID, \

				      SPK_BE_ID, \
				      BT_OFFLOAD_BE_ID, \

An exception is that, if you use link_order_overwrite to overwrite

ASoC: Intel: avs: Fixes and new platforms support
Merge series from Cezary Rojewski <cezary.rojewski@intel.com>:

The avs-driver continues to be utilized on more recent Intel machines.
As TGL-based (cAVS 2.5) e.g.: RPL, inherit most of the functionality
from previous platforms:

SKL <- APL <- CNL <- ICL <- TGL

rather than putting everything into a single file, the platform-specific
bits are split into cnl/icl/tgl.c files instead. Makes the division clear
and code easier to maintain.

Layout of the patchset:

First are two changes combined together address the sound-clipping
problem, present when only one stream is running - specifically one
CAPTURE stream.

Follow up is naming-scheme adjustment for some of the existing functions
what improves code incohesiveness. As existing IPC/IRQ code operates
solely on cAVS 1.5 architecture, it needs no abstraction. The situation
changes when newer platforms come into the picture. Thus the next two
patches abstract the existing IPC/IRQ handlers so that majority of the
common code can be re-used.

The ICCMAX change stands out a bit - the AudioDSP firmware loading
procedure differs on ICL-based platforms (and onwards) and having a
separate commit makes the situation clear to the developers who are
going to support the solution from LTS perspective. For that reason
I decided not to merge it into the commit introducing the icl.c file.

ASoC: Intel: cht_bsw_rt5645: Cleanup codec_name handling
4 fixes / cleanups to the rt5645 mc driver's codec_name handling:

1. In the for loop looking for the dai_index for the codec, replace
card->dai_link[i] with cht_dailink[i]. The for loop already uses
ARRAY_SIZE(cht_dailink) as bound and card->dai_link is just a pointer to
cht_dailink using card->dai_link only obfuscates that cht_dailink is being
modified directly rather then say a copy of cht_dailink. Using
cht_dailink[i] also makes the code consistent with other machine drivers.

2. Don't set cht_dailink[dai_index].codecs->name in the for loop,
this immediately gets overridden using acpi_dev_name(adev) directly
below the loop.

3. Add a missing break to the loop.

4. Remove the now no longer used (only set, never read) codec_name field
from struct cht_mc_private.

ASoC: Intel: Boards: Fix NULL pointer deref in BYT/CHT boards
Since commit 13f58267cd ("ASoC: soc.h: don't create dummy Component

have a name set.

This means that when looking for the codec dai_link the machine
driver can no longer unconditionally run strcmp() on
snd_soc_dai_link.codecs[0].name since this may now be NULL.

Add a check for snd_soc_dai_link.codecs[0].name being NULL to all

their probe() methods.

codecs in the dai link if not all codecs in the dai link are the same.
Use a common dai link .init callback to call the new rtd_init callback
in sof_sdw_dai_info{} to do rtd_init for each dai.
Some codec init callback will become empty after this change. They will
be removed in the follow up patch.

ASoC: Intel: add get_codec_dai_by_name helper function
Currently, we assume the codecs in a dai link are all the same.
So that we get codec dai with snd_soc_rtd_to_codec(rtd, 0) in dai_links
->init callback. However, a link can include different codecs.
For example, a 4 speakers link can consist of rt712 and rt1316.
Therefore, we need to select the codec dai by name in the dai link.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: use single rtd_init for rt_amps
2 amps can be in the same or different dai links. To handle this, the
existing code implements different spk_init functions to add dapm routes
for different amps. However, sof_sdw.c doesn't support non-aggregated
amp any more since it used pre-defined BE id.
With that assumption, combine the spk_init functions together.
This is a preparation of putting different types amps in a single dai
link.

0205f3753d ASoC: Updates for v6.8
This is a relatively quiet release, there's a lot of driver specific
changes and the usual high level of activity in the SOF core but the
one big core change was Mormioto-san's work to support more N:M
 CPU:CODEC mapping cases. Highlights include:

  - Enhanced support for N:M CPU:CODEC mappings in the core and in
    audio-graph-card2.
  - Support for falling back to older SOF IPC versions where firmware for
    new versions is not available.
  - Support for notification of control changes generated by SOF firmware
    with IPC4.
  - Device tree support for describing parts of the card which can be
active over suspend (for very low power playback or wake word use
    cases).
  - ACPI parsing support for the ES83xx driver, reducing the number of
    quirks neede for x86 systems.
  - Support for more AMD and Intel systems, NXP i.MX8m MICFIL, Qualcomm
    SM8250, SM8550, SM8650 and X1E80100.
  - Removal of Freescale MPC8610 support, the SoC is no longer supported
    by Linux.

ASoC: Updates for v6.8

 - Removal of Freescale MPC8610 support, the SoC is no longer supported
   by Linux.

ASoC: Intel: bytcr_rt5640: Add new swapped-speakers quirk
Some BYTCR x86 tablets with a rt5640 codec have the left and right channels
of their speakers swapped.

Add a new BYT_RT5640_SWAPPED_SPEAKERS quirk for this which sets
cfg-spk:swapped in the components string to let userspace know
about the swapping so that the UCM profile can configure the mixer
to correct this.

Enable this new quirk on the Medion Lifetab S10346 which has its
speakers swapped.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw_cs_amp: Connect outputs to a speaker widget
Hookup the CS35L56 DAPM_OUTPUT widgets to a DAPM_SPK widget so
that there is a complete logical path to a speaker.

There is no particular reason to use multiple speaker widgets.
The CS35L56 are designed to work together as a set so they have
all been connected to a single speaker widget.

Instead of a hardcoded list of codec widget names, the code walks
through all the codecs on the dailink and for every cs35l56 it uses
its name prefix to construct the source end of the route. This adds
a small amount of overhead during probe but has the benefit that it
isn't dependent on every system using the same prefixes.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw_rt_sdca_jack_common: ctx->headset_codec_dev = NULL
sof_sdw_rt_sdca_jack_exit() are used by different codecs, and some of
them use the same dai name.
For example, rt712 and rt713 both use "rt712-sdca-aif1" and
sof_sdw_rt_sdca_jack_exit().
As a result, sof_sdw_rt_sdca_jack_exit() will be called twice by
mc_dailink_exit_loop(). Set ctx->headset_codec_dev = NULL; after
put_device(ctx->headset_codec_dev); to avoid ctx->headset_codec_dev
being put twice.

ASoC: Intel: bytcht_es8316: Determine quirks/routing with codec-dev ACPI DSM
Add support for querying the same ACPI Device-Specific-Method (DSM) as
Windows uses to determine things like speaker and mic routing.

This avoids the need to add DMI quirks for each new ESS8316 tablet model.

This has been tested on the following devices:

1. Chuwi Hi12 CHT with stereo speakers and IN2-mic-map,
this avoids the need to add a DMI quirk for this model.

2. Nanote UMPC-01 CHT with stereo speakers and IN1-mic-map,
the existing DMI quirk is still necessary because of a bug
in the DSM return values for the speakers (it returns mono).

3. Onda V80 plus CHT with mono speaker and IN1-mic-map,
DSM set quirks match the previously used defaults.

4. GP-electronic T701 BYT with mono speaker and IN2-mic-map,
DSM set quirks match the previously used defaults.

ASoC: Intel: sof_sdw: Always register the HDMI dai links

this is granted under normal conditions but in case of special use cases
the display (i915) driver might not be enabled due to deny-listing,

This should not block the non HDMI audio to be usable so register the dai

8a8a9ac8a4 soundwire: fix initializing sysfs for same devices on different buses
If same devices with same device IDs are present on different soundwire
buses, the probe fails due to conflicting device names and sysfs
entries:

sysfs: cannot create duplicate filename '/bus/soundwire/devices/sdw:0:0217:0204:00:0'

The link ID is 0 for both devices, so they should be differentiated by

like:

ASoC: Intel: bytcr_wm5102: Add BYT_WM5102_IN_MAP quirk
Unlike all designs supported sofar the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 YT3-X90 does not
have its internal microphone (intmic) on IN3L with the headset microphone
on IN1L. Instead this tablet has the intmic on IN1L and the hsmic on IN2L.

Add a BYT_WM5102_IN_MAP quirk mechanism to allow selecting between

The new INTMIC_IN1L_HSMIC_IN2L map is enabled by default on CHT because
the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 YT3-X90 model is the only Cherry Trail design
currently supported. If different CHT designs turn up which need different
input maps we can add DMI quirks to select a different map later.

ASoC: intel: sof_sdw: Stop processing CODECs when enough are found
When adding CODECs to a DAI link, the code should stop processing more
CODECs when the expected number of CODECs are discovered. This fixes a
small corner case issue introduced when support for different devices
on the same SoundWire link was added. In the case of aggregated
devices everything is fine, as all devices intended for the DAI link
will be marked with the same group and any not intended for that DAI
are skipped by the group check. However for non-aggregated devices the
group check is bypassed and the current code does not stop after it
has found the first device. Meaning if additional non-aggregated devices
are present on the same SoundWire link they will be erroneously added
into the DAI link.

Fix this issue, and provide a small optimisation by ceasing to process
devices once we have reached the required number of devices for the
current DAI link.

Merge series from Bard Liao <yung-chuan.liao@linux.intel.com>:

Rather than keeping a single array of CPU dai link components allocate a
smaller one for each DAI link, this reduces the amount of state that
needs to be passed back and forth in the driver.

The current code would create the DAI link for the aggregated amps,
although it is worth noting that the only reason Mic 2 is not added is
the additional check that aborts processing the link when the device

2 would not be added, as the check will only be done on the first
device, which would be Amp 2 and thus the wrong group, causing the
whole link to be skipped.

Move the endpoint check to be for each device rather than the first

ASoC: intel: sof_sdw: Device loop should not always start at adr_index
The current loops at the top of create_sdw_dailink process the devices
on each link starting from device index adr_index. But adr_index is only
meaningful on the first on these SoundWire links, as it is the index of
the current device on that link. This means devices will be skipped on
later links.

Say for example the system looks like this:

SDW0 - Codec (Not Aggregated), Amp 1 (Aggregated, Group 1)
SDW1 - Amp 2 (Aggregated, Group 1), Amp 3 (Aggregated, Group 1)

The code should create 2 DAI links, one for the CODEC and one for the
aggregated amps. It will create the DAI link for the codec no problem.
When it creates the DAI link for Group 1 however, create_sdw_dailink
will be called with an adr_index of 1, since that is the index of Amp
1 on SDW0. However, as the loop in create_sdw_dailink moves onto SDW1
it will again start from adr_index, skipping Amp 2. Resulting in the amp
DAI link only have amps 1 and 3 in it.

It is reasonable to start at adr_index on the first link, since
earlier devices have by definition already been processed. However,
update the code when processing later links to handle all devices.

ASoC: intel: sof_sdw: Move range check of codec_conf into inner loop
There are two problems with the current range check on the codec_conf
array.

Firstly, adr_link_next->num_adr refers to the number of devices
on the current SoundWire link, but adr_index refers to the first
SoundWire link involved in the DAI link. This means that subtracting
these two numbers is only meaningful on the first SoundWire link in the
DAI and broken on later links.

Secondly, the intention of the range check is to add the number
of remaining devices on the currently link to the current index
and ensure enough space remains. However, this assumes that all
remaining devices on the SoundWire link will be added to the current
DAI link. Ideally this would not be the case, and devices could be
grouped as the user desired.

Moving the range check into the inner loop both simplifies the code (no
need to add and subtract offsets) and allows future refactoring such
that devices on a single SoundWire link don't have to all be grouped onto
a single DAI link. The check will be processed slightly more often since
it is processed for each device rather each link but this is probe time
and the numbers involved are very small here (4 links, likely no more
than 2-4 devices per link).

ASoC: intel: sof_sdw: Update DLC index each time one is added
In create_sdw_dailink, rather than bulk updating the index into the

as an intermediate variable is no longer needed to track the current

ASoC: intel: sof_sdw: Pull device loop up into create_sdw_dailink
The loops which fill the codec DAI link component structures are split
across create_sdw_dailink and create_codec_dai_name. This causes the
code to be rather confusing, needing to return out the function to allow
the upper loop to iterate. Remove the create_codec_dai_name helper and
pull its code up into create_sdw_dailink, this makes it more obvious
what is happening in the code. This patch makes no functional change
just hoists the code up a level.
