a11ec0dc92 wifi: cfg80211/mac80211: implement dot11ExtendedRegInfoSupport
Implement dot11ExtendedRegInfoSupport to advertise non-AP station
regulatory power capability as part of regulatory connectivity
element in (Re)Association request frames so that AP can achieve
maximum client connectivity. Control field which was interpreted
using value of 3-bits B5 to B3, now uses value of 4-bits B6 to B3 to
interpret the type of AP. Hence update IEEE80211_HE_6GHZ_OPER_CTRL_REG_INFO
to parse 4-bits control field. If older AP still updates only 3-bits
value of control field, station can still interpret the value as per
section E.2.7 of IEEE 802.11 REVme D7.0 and support the appropriate
AP type.

Also update IEEE80211_6GHZ_CTRL_REG_INDOOR_SP_AP as the value of
standard power AP is changed to 8 instead of 4 so that AP can support both
LPI AP and SP AP to maximize the connectivity with stations. For backward
compatibility, keeping value 4 as old AP by limiting it to SP AP only.

However, some bits are reserved and in particular the Recommended Max

c5fd399a24 wifi: mac80211: correctly identify S1G short beacon
mac80211 identifies a short beacon by the presence of the next
TBTT field, however the standard actually doesn't explicitly state that
the next TBTT can't be in a long beacon or even that it is required in
a short beacon - and as a result this validation does not work for all
vendor implementations.

The standard explicitly states that an S1G long beacon shall contain
the S1G beacon compatibility element as the first element in a beacon
transmitted at a TBTT that is not a TSBTT (Target Short Beacon
Transmission Time) as per IEEE80211-2024 11.1.3.10.1. This is validated
by 9.3.4.3 Table 9-76 which states that the S1G beacon compatibility
element is only allowed in the full set and is not allowed in the
minimum set of elements permitted for use within short beacons.

Correctly identify short beacons by the lack of an S1G beacon
compatibility element as the first element in an S1G beacon frame.

aa34ecc42a wifi: ieee80211: add Radio Measurement action fields
Drivers that support Tx power insertion could examine the outgoing Radio

1e1f706fc2 wifi: cfg80211/mac80211: correctly parse S1G beacon optional elements
S1G beacons are not traditional beacons but a type of extension frame.
Extension frames contain the frame control and duration fields, followed
by zero or more optional fields before the frame body. These optional
fields are distinct from the variable length elements.

The presence of optional fields is indicated in the frame control field.
To correctly locate the elements offset, the frame control must be parsed
to identify which optional fields are present. Currently, mac80211 parses
S1G beacons based on fixed assumptions about the frame layout, without
inspecting the frame control field. This can result in incorrect offsets
to the "variable" portion of the frame.

Properly parse S1G beacon frames by using the field lengths defined in
IEEE 802.11-2024, section 9.3.4.3, ensuring that the elements offset is
calculated accurately.

- Removing links is done synchronously, i.e., the links

the AP MLD removed them but before the station got the
ML reconfiguration response). In case the AP replies with a

2887af4d22 wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: implement link grading
For selecting what link(s) out of the usable ones
to activate, calculate a grade for a given link.

Calculation of a link grade is done as follows:
1. get the estimated throughput according to the RSSI of the link, this
   will be the base grade
2. get the channel load from the BSS Load Element, subtracting the load
caused by us. Apply the factor on the grade.
3. puncturing factor: calculate the percentage of the punctured
subchannels (out of the total subchannels). Apply this on the grade.

The link grading will be used by the link selection mechanism in a later
patch.

Also add KUnit tests for it.

c121514df0 wifi: ieee80211: fix ieee80211_mle_basic_sta_prof_size_ok()
If there was a possibility of an MLE basic STA profile without
subelements, we might reject it because we account for the one
octet for sta_info_len twice (it's part of itself, and in the
fixed portion). Like in ieee80211_mle_reconf_sta_prof_size_ok,
subtract 1 to adjust that.

When reading the elements we did take this into account, and
since there are always elements, this never really mattered.

6239da18d2 wifi: mac80211: adjust EHT capa when lowering bandwidth
If intending to associate with a lower bandwidth, remove capabilities
related to 320 MHz from the EHT capabilities element. Also change the
EHT MCS-NSS set accordingly: if just reducing 320->160 or similar the
format doesn't change, just cut off the last bytes. If changing from
higher bandwidth to 20 MHz only EHT STA, adjust the format.

Note that this also requires adjusting the caller in mlme.c since the
data written can now be shorter than it determined. We need to clean
all that up. Since the other callers pass NULL for the conn limit, we
don't need to change things there.

98fb9b9680 wifi: ieee80211: don't require protected vendor action frames
For vendor action frames, whether a protected one should be
used or not is clearly up to the individual vendor and frame,
so even though a protected dual is defined, it may not get

when they're used in a connection.

Since we obviously don't process frames unknown to the kernel
in the kernel, it may makes sense to invert this list to have
all the ones the kernel processes and knows to be requiring
protection, but that'd be a different change.
