timer_delete[_sync]() replaces del_timer[_sync](). Convert the whole tree
over and remove the historical wrapper inlines.
Conversion was done with coccinelle plus manual fixups where necessary.

Replace ternary (condition ? "enable" : "disable") syntax with helpers
from string_choices.h because:
1. Simple function call with one argument is easier to read. Ternary
operator has three arguments and with wrapping might lead to quite
long code.
2. Is slightly shorter thus also easier to read.
3. It brings uniformity in the text - same string.
4. Allows deduping by the linker, which results in a smaller binary
file.

After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.
Convert all platform drivers below drivers/usb to use .remove(), with
the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

There is no specific behaviour implemented to recover from a babble
error. When a BABBLE error happens, recovery fails as connected sticks
are no longer detected by the USB controller.
Implement the recover callback of the MUSB operation to reset the USB
controller when a BABBLE happens.

The idle_state is not meant for host-only mode. When the device acts as a
host, it fails to exit the idle state once entered. This prevents new
USB gadgets from being detected once plugged in.
Commit 032ec49f53 ("usb: musb: drop useless board_mode usage") removed
a is_otg_enabled() check in the try_idle() that prevented from entering
idle_state. This was removed because at that time it was not possible to
select host-only mode with CONFIG_USB_MUSB_HOST so dual role was always
set.
Add #ifndef CONFIG_USB_MUSB_HOST around try_idle() callback to prevent
from entering idle_state when host-only mode has been selected.

This reverts commit 7ccf62941a.
da8xx_musb_set_mode() forces OTG mode regardless the selected mode even
if the property 'dr_mode = "host"' is present in device-tree. This
causes an unrecoverable error when VBUS supply is shut down : plugged
gadgets are no longer detected once VBUS supply is back.
Reverting it allows to have a selected mode coherent with device-tree's
description. IMO, this shouldn't cause regression because OTG mode is
the default selection when 'dr_mode' property is not set.

The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree.
Add of.h which is implicitly included by of_platform.h.

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored
and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a
quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this
quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns
void.
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

In the probe path, dev_err() can be replaced with dev_err_probe()
which will check if error code is -EPROBE_DEFER and prints the
error name. It also sets the defer probe reason which can be
checked later through debugfs. It's more simple in error path.

The musb glue drivers just copy the glue resources to the musb child device.
Instead, set the musb child device's DT node pointer to the parent device's
node so that platform_get_irq_byname() can find the resources in the DT.
This removes the need for statically populating the IRQ resources from the
DT which has been deprecated for some time.

The platform device resources are copied by the driver core, so there is
no need for the caller to do it when creating a platform device. Just pass
the parent resources to the child device directly.

musb drivers do not use the otg fsm framework, so referencing to
otg->default_a doesn't have any effect, so remove the references.
But tusb6010 glue driver uses it locally to control the vbus power, so
keep the references in tusb6010 only.

There is only one clock for the DA8xx MUSB device, so we don't need the
con_id, so remove it. This way we don't have to add an unnecessary
property to the device tree bindings for the clock.

When babble condition happens, the musb controller might automatically
turns off VBUS. On DA8xx platform, the controller generates drvvbus
interrupt for turning off VBUS along with the babble interrupt.
In this case, we should handle the babble interrupt first and recover
from the babble condition.
This change ignores the drvvbus interrupt if babble interrupt is also
generated at the same time, so the babble recovery routine works
properly.

Now that the SPDX tag is in all USB files, that identifies the license
in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording
can be removed as it is no longer needed at all.
This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in
the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff
like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never
needed.
No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed.

It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to
audit the kernel tree for correct licenses.
Update the drivers/usb/ and include/linux/usb* files with the correct
SPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself.
The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used
instead of the full boiler plate text.

In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer()
to pass the timer pointer explicitly.
Instead of a per-device static timer variable, a spare timer "dev_timer"
is added to the musb structure for devices to use for their per-device
timer.

The probe function is not __init since it can be called for deferred
probing or when unbinding/rebinding the device, and therefore it must
not reference objects in __initdata, as pointed out by this link
time warning:

The DMA may hang up if a teardown is initiated while an endpoint is still
active (Advisory 2.3.27 of DA8xx errata).
To workaround this issue, add a delay before to initiate the teardown.

Currently, only the PIO mode is supported.
This add support of CPPI 4.1 to DA8xx.
As in DA8xx the CPPI 4.1 DMA is a part of the USBSS, create the CPPI 4.1
device as a child of USB.

On da8xx, VBUS is not maintained during suspend when musb is in host mode.
On resume, all the connected devices will be disconnected and then will
be enumerated again.
This happens because MUSB_DEVCTL is cleared during suspend.
Use the quirk MUSB_PRESERVE_SESSION to preseve MUSB_DEVCTL during suspend.

The DA8xx OTG PHY has some issues when it is forced in host or
peripheral mode. Actually, most of the time, OTG is the best mode
because host or peripheral mode are only required for hardware that
miss some circuitry.
Init the PHY mode OTG mode by default.

We print an error message when platform_device_register_full()
fails, but the initialization of the argument has been removed,
as shown in this warning:

Pass struct musb to tusb_dma_omap() and is_cppi_enabled(),
and add macros for the other DMA controllers. Populate the
platform specific quirks with the DMA type and use it during
runtime.
Note that platform glue layers with no custom DMA code are
tagged with MUSB_DMA_INVENTRA which may have a chance of
working. Looks like the defconfigs for these use PIO_ONLY,
so this should not break existing configs.

Before using the PHY framework instead of the USB PHY one, we need to
move the OTG state into another place, since it won't be available when
USB PHY isn't used. This patch moves the OTG state into the OTG
structure, and makes all the needed modifications in the drivers
using the OTG state.

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

Use platform_device_register_full() for those drivers which can, to
avoid messing directly with DMA masks. This can only be done when
the driver does not need to access the allocated musb platform device
from within its callbacks, which may be called during the musb
device probing.
