This is mostly fixes and cleanups and code reworks that trickled in
 across the merge window and the weeks leading up.  The only
 substantive update is the Mediatek ufs driver which accounts for the

6e0f6aa44b scsi: target: core: Generate correct identifiers for PR OUT transport IDs
Fix target_parse_pr_out_transport_id() to return a string representing
the transport ID in a human-readable format (e.g., naa.xxxxxxxx...)  for
various SCSI protocol types (SAS, FCP, SRP, SBP).

Previously, the function returned a pointer to the raw binary buffer,
which was incorrectly compared against human-readable strings, causing
comparisons to fail.  Now, the function writes a properly formatted
string into a buffer provided by the caller.  The output format depends
on the transport protocol:

* SAS: 64-bit identifier, "naa." prefix.
* FCP: 64-bit identifier, colon separated values.
* SBP: 64-bit identifier, no prefix.
* SRP: 128-bit identifier, "0x" prefix.
* iSCSI: IQN string.

7ffbf335e3 scsi: target: iblock: Allow iblock devices to be shared
We might be running a local application that also interacts with the
backing device. In this setup we have some clustering type of software
that manages the ownwer of it, so we don't want the kernel to restrict
us. This patch allows the user to control if the driver gets exclusive
access.

d8ab68bdb2 scsi: target: Fix NULL pointer dereference in core_scsi3_decode_spec_i_port()
The function core_scsi3_decode_spec_i_port(), in its error code path,
unconditionally calls core_scsi3_lunacl_undepend_item() passing the
dest_se_deve pointer, which may be NULL.

This can lead to a NULL pointer dereference if dest_se_deve remains
unset.

fd2963e729 scsi: target: core: Constify struct target_opcode_descriptor
Instances of 'struct target_opcode_descriptor' are not modified in this
driver.

Constifying this structure moves some data to a read-only section, so
increase overall security, especially when the structure holds some
function pointers.

The following patches made over Linus's tree remove the atomic use from
the main IO path. There was a handful of atomic_longs used just used
for stats and a couple atomics used for handling ordered commands. These
patches move the stats to per cpu, and moves the ordered tracking to a
per cpu counter.

With the patches 8K IOPS increases by up to 33% when running fio
with numjobs >= 4 and using the vhost-scsi target with virtio-scsi
and virtio num_queues >= 4 (jobs and queues match, and virtqueue_size
and cmd_per_lun are increased to match the total iodepth of all
jobs).

The atomic use from the delayed/ordered tracking is causing perf issues
when using higher perf backend devices and multiple queues.  This moves
the values to a per CPU counter. Combined with the per CPU stats patch,
this improves IOPS by up to 33% for 8K IOS when using 4 or more queues
from the initiator.

stats to per CPU. Combined with the next patch that moves the
non_ordered/delayed_cmd_count to per CPU, IOPS by up to 33% for 8K IOS
when using 4 or more queues.

1f8eb29579 scsi: target: Remove size arguments when calling strscpy()
The size parameter of strscpy() is optional because strscpy() uses
sizeof() to determine the length of the destination buffer if it is not
provided as an argument. Remove it to simplify the code.

Remove some unnecessary curly braces.

No functional changes intended.

1909b64303 scsi: target: tcm_loop: Fix wrong abort tag
When the tcm_loop_nr_hw_queues is set to a value greater than 1, the
tags of requests in the block layer are no longer unique. This may lead
to erroneous aborting of commands with the same tag. The issue can be
resolved by using blk_mq_unique_tag to generate globally unique
identifiers by combining the hardware queue index and per-queue tags.

dfb7df1ddb scsi: target: Replace deprecated strncpy() with strscpy()
strncpy() is deprecated for NUL-terminated destination buffers; use
strscpy() instead. The destination buffer db_root is only used with "%s"
format strings and must therefore be NUL-terminated, but not NUL-padded.

Use scnprintf() because snprintf() could return a value >= DB_ROOT_LEN
and lead to an out-of-bounds access. This doesn't happen because count
is explicitly checked against DB_ROOT_LEN before. However, scnprintf()
always returns the number of characters actually written to the string
buffer, which is always within the bounds of db_root_stage, and should
be preferred over snprintf().

The size parameter of strscpy() is optional and since DB_ROOT_LEN is the
size of the destination buffer, it can be removed. Remove it to simplify
the code.

105ca2a2c2 block: split struct bio_integrity_payload
Many of the fields in struct bio_integrity_payload are only needed for
the default integrity buffer in the block layer, and the variable
sized array at the end of the structure makes it very hard to embed
into caller allocated structures.

Reduce struct bio_integrity_payload to the minimal structure needed in
common code and create two separate containing structures for the
automatically generated payload and the caller allocated payload.
The latter is a simple wrapper for struct bio_integrity_payload and
the bvecs, while the former contains the additional fields moved out
of struct bio_integrity_payload.

Always use a dedicated mempool for automatic integrity metadata
instead of depending on bio_set that is submitter controlled and thus
often doesn't have the mempool initialized and stop using mempools for
the submitter buffers as they aren't in the NOIO I/O submission path
where we need to guarantee forward progress.

6aeb4f8364 block: remove bio_add_pc_page
Lift bio_split_rw_at into blk_rq_append_bio so that it validates the
hardware limits.  With this all passthrough callers can simply add
bio_add_page to build the bio and delay checking for exceeding of limits
to this point instead of doing it for each page.

While this looks like adding a new expensive loop over all bio_vecs,
blk_rq_append_bio is already doing that just to counter the number of
segments.

55d1ecceb8 x86/crc32: expose CRC32 functions through lib
Move the x86 CRC32 assembly code into the lib directory and wire it up
to the library interface.  This allows it to be used without going
through the crypto API.  It remains usable via the crypto API too via
the shash algorithms that use the library interface.  Thus all the
arch-specific "shash" code becomes unnecessary and is removed.

5cd3167a5e scsi: target: tcmu: Constify some structures
'struct nla_policy' and 'struct match_table_t' are not modified in this
driver.

Constifying these structures moves some data to a read-only section, so
increase overall security, especially when the structure holds some
function pointers, which is the case of struct nla_policy.

genlmsg_mcast() uses for_each_net_rcu(), and must therefore hold RCU.

Instead of letting all callers guard genlmsg_multicast_allns()
with a rcu_read_lock()/rcu_read_unlock() pair, do it in genlmsg_mcast().

3c9265ed19 scsi: target: Remove unused declarations
Commit 13247018d6 ("scsi: target: iscsi: Fix hang in the iSCSI login
code") removed iscsi_handle_login_thread_timeout() but left declaration.

Commit 3e1c81a95f ("iscsi-target: Refactor RX PDU logic + export request
PDU handling") left iscsi_target_get_initial_payload() declaration.

Commit d703ce2f7f ("iscsi/iser-target: Convert to command priv_size
usage") remove iscsit_alloc_cmd() but left declaration.

And finally, a few other declarations were never implenmented since
introduction in commit e48354ce07 ("iscsi-target: Add iSCSI fabric
support for target v4.1").

e9f5f44ad3 block: remove the blk_integrity_profile structure
Block layer integrity configuration is a bit complex right now, as it
indirects through operation vectors for a simple two-dimensional
configuration:

 a) the checksum type of none, ip checksum, crc, crc64
 b) the presence or absence of a reference tag

Remove the integrity profile, and instead add a separate csum_type flag
which replaces the existing ip-checksum field and a new flag that
indicates the presence of the reference tag.

This removes up to two layers of indirect calls, remove the need to
offload the no-op verification of non-PI metadata to a workqueue and
generally simplifies the code. The downside is that block/t10-pi.c now
has to be built into the kernel when CONFIG_BLK_DEV_INTEGRITY is
supported.  Given that both nvme and SCSI require t10-pi.ko, it is loaded
for all usual configurations that enabled CONFIG_BLK_DEV_INTEGRITY
already, though.

If the systemd-modules service loads the target module, the credentials of
that userspace process will be used to validate the access to the target db
directory.  SELinux will prevent it, reporting an error like the following:
