The pcf2127 encodes BSM, BLD and power fail detection in the same set of
bits so it is necessary to do some calculation when changing BSM to keep
the rest of the configuration as-is. However, when BSM is disabled, there
is no configuration with BLD enabled so this will be lost when coming back
to a mode with BSM enabled.

Use syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandle_args() which is a wrapper over
syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandle() combined with getting the syscon
argument. Except simpler code this annotates within one line that given
phandle has arguments, so grepping for code would be easier.
There is also no real benefit in printing errors on missing syscon
argument, because this is done just too late: runtime check on
static/build-time data. Dtschema and Devicetree bindings offer the
static/build-time check for this already.

The TOY_MATCH0_REG should be cleared to 0 in the RTC interrupt handler,
otherwise the interrupt cannot be cleared, which will cause the
loongson_rtc_isr() to be triggered multiple times.
The previous code cleared TOY_MATCH0_REG in the loongson_rtc_handler(),
which is an ACPI interrupt. This did not prevent loongson_rtc_isr()
from being triggered multiple times.
This commit moves the clearing of TOY_MATCH0_REG to the
loongson_rtc_isr() to ensure that the interrupt is properly cleared.

The nvmem interface supports variable buffer sizes, while the regmap
interface operates with fixed-size storage. If an nvmem client uses a
buffer size less than 4 bytes, regmap_read will write out of bounds
as it expects the buffer to point at an unsigned int.
Fix this by using an intermediary unsigned int to hold the value.

The problem is this multiply in tps6594_rtc_set_offset()
tmp = offset * TICKS_PER_HOUR;
The "tmp" variable is an s64 but "offset" is a long in the
(-277774)-277774 range. On 32bit systems a long can hold numbers up to
approximately two billion. The number of TICKS_PER_HOUR is really large,
(32768 * 3600) or roughly a hundred million. When you start multiplying
by a hundred million it doesn't take long to overflow the two billion
mark.
Probably the safest way to fix this is to change the type of
TICKS_PER_HOUR to long long because it's such a large number.

The undervoltage flags reported by the RTC are useful to know if the
time and date are reliable after a reboot. Although the threshold VLOW1
indicates that the thermometer has been shutdown and time compensation
is off, it doesn't mean that the temperature readout is currently
impossible.
As the system is running, the RTC voltage is now fully established and
we can read the temperature.

8bit registers at once. Use these to minimize register access. Also, do
the to/from BCD conversions right away, so 'tm' always contains values
as described in time.h.

The header clearly states that it does not want to be included directly,

abeoz9_rtc_read_alarm assumes we always read the alarm in 12-hour mode
while abeoz9_rtc_set_alarm will always set it in 24-hour mode.
We could support 12-hour mode in both functions but it seems very unlikely
that the RTC would be set to 12-hour mode now as the driver has been
setting it to 24-hour mode for a while now. The setting is undefined at
power-up and unchanged by subsequent resets which doesn't help us.

tm_mon describes months from 0 to 11, but the register contains BCD from
1 to 12. tm_year contains years since 1900, but the BCD contains 20XX.
Apply the offsets when converting these numbers.

This is the third amlogic driver. The RTC hardware of A4 SoC is different
from the previous one. This RTC hardware includes a timing function and
an alarm function. But the existing has only timing function, alarm
function is using the system clock to implement a virtual alarm. Add
the RTC driver to support it.

RTC lives on the chip's base register page. Add the relevant register
definitions and implement a basic set/read time functionality. Tested
with the samsung,coreprimevelte smartphone which contains this PMIC and
whose vendor kernel tree has also served as the sole reference for this.

If the __rtc_read_time call fails,, the struct rtc_time tm; may contain
uninitialized data, or an illegal date/time read from the RTC hardware.
When calling rtc_tm_to_ktime later, the result may be a very large value
(possibly KTIME_MAX). If there are periodic timers in rtc->timerqueue,
they will continually expire, may causing kernel softlockup.

Instead of calculating the number of full days since Sunday with
(days + 4) % 7, read (and write) that to the RTC Day-of-week Time
Counter register (RTC_TC_DOW).
Some transformation (addition and subtraction for set/get) is
still done, as this register's range is [1..7], while the tm_wday
in struct tm's range is [0..6].
Please note that this was added only to set_time() and read_time()
callbacks because set_alarm() and read_alarm() are setting a bit
in RTC_AL_MASK to ignore DOW for RTC HW alarms for unknown reasons.

Add the RTC hardware range parameters to enable the possibility
of using the `start-year` devicetree property which, if present,
will set the start_secs parameter by overriding the defaults
that this driver is setting;
To keep compatibility with (hence have the same date/time reading
as) the old behavior, set:
- range_min to 1900-01-01 00:00:00
- range_max to 2027-12-31 23:59:59 (HW year max range is 0-127)
- start_secs defaulting to 1968-01-02 00:00:00
Please note that the oddness of starting from January 2nd is not
a hardware quirk and it's done only to get the same date/time
reading as an RTC which time was set before this commit.
Also remove the RTC_MIN_YEAR_OFFSET addition and subtraction in
callbacks set_time() and read_time() respectively, as now this
is already done by the API.

The ISL12022 RTC has a combined INT/fOUT pin, which can be used for alarm
interrupt when frequency output is not enabled.
The device-tree bindings should ensure that interrupt and clock output is
not enabled at the same time.

If request_irq() fails in st_rtc_probe(), there is no need to enable
the irq, and if it succeeds, disable_irq() after request_irq() still has
a time gap in which interrupts can come.
request_irq() with IRQF_NO_AUTOEN flag will disable IRQ auto-enable when
request IRQ.

After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.
Convert all platform drivers below drivers/rtc to use .remove(), with
the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

A few ROHM PMICs have an RTC block which can be controlled by the
rtc-bd70528 driver. The RTC driver needs the alarm interrupt information
from the parent MFD driver. The MFD driver provides the interrupt
information as a set of named interrupts, where the name is of form:
<PMIC model>-rtc-alm-<x>, where x is an alarm block number.
>From the RTC driver point of view it is irrelevant what the PMIC name
is. It is sufficient to know this is alarm interrupt for a block X. The
PMIC model information is carried to RTC via the platform device ID.
Hence, having the PMIC model in the interrupt name is only making things
more complex because the RTC driver needs to request differently named
interrupts on different PMICs, making code unnecessary complicated.
Simplify this slightly by always using the RTC driver name 'bd70528' as
the prefix for alarm interrupts, no matter what the exact PMIC model is,
and always request the alarm interrupts of same name no matter what the
PMIC model is.

On my device reading entirety of /sys/devices/pnp0/00:03/cmos_nvram0/nvmem
takes about 9 msec during which time interrupts are off on the CPU that
does the read and the thread that performs the read can not be migrated
or preempted by another higher priority thread (RT or not).
Allow readers and writers be preempted by taking and releasing rtc_lock
spinlock for each individual byte read or written rather than once per
read/write request.

The RTC IP (RTCA-3) available on the Renesas RZ/G3S SoC has calendar count
mode and binary count mode (selectable though RCR2.CNTMD) capabilities,
alarm capabilities, clock error correction capabilities. It can generate
alarm, period, carry interrupts.
Add a driver for RTCA-3 IP. The driver implements calendar count mode (as
the conversion b/w RTC and system time is simpler, done with bcd2bin(),
bin2bcd()), read and set time, read and set alarm, read and set
an offset.

The V3(s) will detect a valid external low frequency clock and if it is
not present will automatically switch to the internal one. This might
hide bugs and (hardware) configuration errors. It's even worse because
the internal RTC runs significantly slower (32.000Hz vs 32.768Hz).
Fortunately for us, the V3(s) has an (undocumented) bypass of this
switching and the driver already supports it by setting the
.has_auto_swt flag.

The BBM module provides RTC feature. To i.MX95, this module is managed by
System Manager and exported System Control Management Interface(SCMI).
Linux could use i.MX SCMI BBM Extension protocol to use RTC feature.

STM32 RTC can pulse some SOC pins when an RTC alarm expires.
This patch adds this functionality for alarm A. The pulse can out on three
pins RTC_OUT1, RTC_OUT2, RTC_OUT2_RMP (PC13, PB2, PI8 on stm32mp15)
(PC13, PB2, PI1 on stm32mp13) (PC13, PF4/PF6, PI8 on stm32mp25).
This patch only adds the functionality for devices which are using
st,stm32mp1-rtc and st,stm32mp25-rtc compatible.
Add "alarm-a" in pinmux functions.

RTC is able to output on a pin the "LSE" internal clock.
STM32 RTC is now registered as a clock provider.
It provides rtc_lsco clock, that means RTC_LSCO is output on either
RTC_OUT1 or RTC_OUT2_RMP, depending on pinmux DT property.
The clock is marked as CLK_IGNORE_UNUSED and CLK_IS_CRITICAL because
RTC_LSCO can be early required by devices needed it to init.
Add LSCO in pinmux functions.
Add "stm32_rtc_clean_outs" to disable LSCO. As RTC is part of "backup"
power domain, it is not reset during shutdown or reboot. So force LSCO
disable at probe.

STM32 RTC is capable to handle 3 specific pins of the soc.
"out1, out2 and out2_rmp". To handle this, we use pinctrl framework.

Introduce new st,stm32mp25-rtc compatible. It is based on st,stm32mp1-rtc.
Difference is that stm32mp25 soc implements a triple protection on RTC
registers:
- Secure bit based protection
- Privileged context based protection
- Compartment ID filtering based protection
This driver will now check theses configurations before probing to avoid
exceptions and fake reads on register.
At this time, driver needs only to check two resources: INIT and ALARM_A.
Other resources are not used.
Resource isolation framework (RIF) is a comprehensive set of hardware
blocks designed to enforce and manage isolation of STM32 hardware
resources, like memory and peripherals.

These drivers don't use the driver_data member of struct i2c_device_id,
so don't explicitly initialize this member.
This prepares putting driver_data in an anonymous union which requires
either no initialization or named designators. But it's also a nice
cleanup on its own.
While add it, also remove a comma after the sentinel entry in
rtc-hym8563.

`rtc_add_offset()` is called by `__rtc_read_time()`
and `__rtc_read_alarm()` to add the RTC's offset to
the raw read-outs from the device drivers. However,
in the latter case, a fix-up algorithm is run if
the RTC device does not report a full `struct rtc_time`
alarm value. In that case, the offset was forgot to be
added.

As per the latest HW manual[1], there is an internal delay(~250 microsec)
from setting ALME = 0 to disabling the alarm function, so the user must
add a short delay of greater than 250µs between setting ALME = 0 and
clearing ALM.
Currently setting of ALME = 0 is done after clearing the ALM, so just
reverse the operation and add a delay of 275 microsec.

As per the latest HW manual[1], the INT# output is pulled low after the
alarm is triggered. After the INT# output is pulled low, it is low for at
least 250ms, even if the correct action is taken to clear it. It is
impossible to clear ALM if it is still active. The host must wait for the
RTC to progress past the alarm time plus the 250ms delay before clearing
ALM.

Read callbacks registered with nvmem core expect 0 to be returned on
success and a negative value to be returned on failure.
abx80x_nvmem_xfer() on read calls i2c_smbus_read_i2c_block_data() which
returns the number of bytes read on success as per its api description,
this return value is handled as an error and returned to nvmem even on
success.
Fix to handle all possible values that would be returned by
i2c_smbus_read_i2c_block_data().

Add power management support to the driver. This allows a SoC to wake
from suspend using the nINT provided by the RTC.
It takes care of the case when the interrupt has not been caught because
the kernel has not yet woke up.
(This is the case when only edges interrupt are caught)

'regmap_spi_config' and 'regmap_i2c_config' are not modified in this diver
and are only used as a const struct regmap_config.
Constifying these structures moves some data to a read-only section, so
increase overall security.

On slow systems, the rtc unit test may result in soft lockups and/or
generate messages such as
# rtc_time64_to_tm_test_date_range: Test should be marked slow (runtime: 34.253230015s)
# rtc_time64_to_tm_test_date_range: pass:1 fail:0 skip:0 total:1
The test covers a date range of 160,000 years, resulting in the long
runtime.
Unit tests running for more than 1 second are supposed to be marked as
slow. Just marking the test as slow would prevent it from running when
slow tests are disabled, which would not be desirable. At the same time,
the current test range of 160,000 years seems to be of limited value.
Split the test into two parts, one covering a range of 1,000 years and
the other covering the current range of 160,000 years. Mark the 160,000
year test as slow to be able to separate it from the faster test.

Since commit 43a7206b09 ("driver core: class: make class_register() take
a const *"), the driver core allows for struct class to be in read-only
memory, so move the rtc_class structure to be declared at build time
placing it into read-only memory, instead of having to be dynamically

IRQ_DOMAIN is a hidden (not user visible) symbol. Users cannot set
it directly thru "make *config", so drivers should select it instead
of depending on it if they need it.
Relying on it being set for a dependency is risky.
Consistently using "select" or "depends on" can also help reduce
Kconfig circular dependency issues.
Therefore, change the use of "depends on" for IRQ_DOMAIN to
"select" for RTC_DRV_MT6397.

ds1511_rtc_read_alarm was useless as it is only called at boot time so
the alarm members of pdata have not yet been set. Read the actual registers
so there is a chance to get a meaningful value.
Then, drop the alarm related members of pdata as they are not used anymore.

The NCT3015Y-R and NCT3018Y-R use the same datasheet
but have different topologies as follows.
- Topology (Only 1st i2c can set TWO bit and HF bit)
In NCT3015Y-R,
rtc 1st i2c is connected to a host CPU
rtc 2nd i2c is connected to a BMC
In NCT3018Y-R,
rtc 1st i2c is connected to a BMC
rtc 2nd i2c is connected to a host CPU
In order to be compatible with NCT3015Y-R and NCT3018Y-R,
- In probe,
If part number is NCT3018Y-R, only set HF bit to 24-Hour format.
Else, do nothing
- In set_time,
If part number is NCT3018Y-R && TWO bit is 0,
change TWO bit to 1, and restore TWO bit after updating time.

Add power management support to the driver. This allows a SoC to wake
from suspend using the nINT provided by the RTC. Only register it as a
wakeup device if the interrupt is provided and handled.

The ma35d1 rtc controller provides real-time and calendar messaging
capabilities. It supports programmable time tick and alarm match
interrupts. The time and calendar messages are expressed in BCD format.
This driver supports the built-in rtc controller of the ma35d1. It
enables setting and reading the rtc time and configuring and reading
the rtc alarm.

Specs don't say anything about UIP being cleared within 10ms. They
only say that UIP won't occur for another 244uS. If a long NMI occurs
while UIP is still updating it might not be possible to get valid
data in 10ms.
This has been observed in the wild that around s2idle some calls can
take up to 480ms before UIP is clear.
Adjust callers from outside an interrupt context to wait for up to a
1s instead of 10ms.

The UIP timeout is hardcoded to 10ms for all RTC reads, but in some
contexts this might not be enough time. Add a timeout parameter to
mc146818_get_time() and mc146818_get_time_callback().
If UIP timeout is configured by caller to be >=100 ms and a call
takes this long, log a warning.
Make all callers use 10ms to ensure no functional changes.

When mc146818_avoid_UIP() fails to return a valid value, this is because
UIP didn't clear in the timeout period. Adjust the return code in this
case to -ETIMEDOUT.

mc146818_get_time() calls mc146818_avoid_UIP() to avoid fetching the
time while RTC update is in progress (UIP). When this fails, the return
code is -EIO, but actually there was no IO failure.
The reason for the return from mc146818_avoid_UIP() is that the UIP
wasn't cleared in the time period. Adjust the return code to -ETIMEDOUT
to match the behavior.

Intel systems > 2015 have been configured to use ACPI alarm instead
of HPET to avoid s2idle issues.
Having HPET programmed for wakeup causes problems on AMD systems with
s2idle as well.
One particular case is that the systemd "SuspendThenHibernate" feature
doesn't work properly on the Framework 13" AMD model. Switching to
using ACPI alarm fixes the issue.
Adjust the quirk to apply to AMD/Hygon systems from 2021 onwards.
This matches what has been tested and is specifically to avoid potential
risk to older systems.
