a103d2dede PCI: controller: Use dev_fwnode() instead of of_fwnode_handle()
All irq_domain functions now accept fwnode instead of of_node. But many
PCI controllers still extract dev to of_node and then of_node to fwnode.

Instead, clean this up and simply use the dev_fwnode() helper to extract
fwnode directly from dev. Internally, it still does dev => of_node =>
fwnode steps, but it's now hidden from the users.

In the case of altera, this also removes an unused 'node' variable that is
only used when CONFIG_OF is enabled:

  drivers/pci/controller/pcie-altera.c: In function 'altera_pcie_init_irq_domain':
  drivers/pci/controller/pcie-altera.c:855:29: error: unused variable 'node' [-Werror=unused-variable]

4b5e1d9715 PCI: Switch to irq_domain_create_linear()
irq_domain_add_linear() is going away as being obsolete now. Switch to
the preferred irq_domain_create_linear(). That differs in the first
parameter: It takes more generic struct fwnode_handle instead of struct
device_node. Therefore, of_fwnode_handle() is added around the
parameter.

Note some of the users can likely use dev->fwnode directly instead of
indirect of_fwnode_handle(dev->of_node). But dev->fwnode is not
guaranteed to be set for all, so this has to be investigated on case to
case basis (by people who can actually test with the HW).

PCI: mediatek-gen3: Move reset delay in mtk_pcie_en7581_power_up()
Airoha EN7581 has a hw bug asserting/releasing PCIE_PE_RSTB signal
causing occasional PCIe link down issues. In order to overcome the
problem, PCIe block is reset using REG_PCI_CONTROL (0x88) and
REG_RESET_CONTROL (0x834) registers available in the clock module
running clk_bulk_prepare_enable() in mtk_pcie_en7581_power_up().

In order to make the code more readable, move the wait for the time
needed to complete the PCIe reset from en7581_pci_enable() to
mtk_pcie_en7581_power_up().

Reduce reset timeout from 250ms to the standard PCIE_T_PVPERL_MS value
(100ms) since it has no impact on the driver behavior.

PCI: mediatek-gen3: Convert to platform remove callback returning void
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored
and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a
quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this
quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns
void.

Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

1d565935e3 PCI: mediatek-gen3: Assert resets to ensure expected init state
The controller may have been left out of reset by the bootloader,
in which case, before the powerup sequence, the controller will be
found preconfigured with values that were set before booting the

To ensure that we get a clean start in an expected state, assert
both the PHY and MAC resets before executing the controller

ab344fd43f PCI: mediatek-gen3: Disable DVFSRC voltage request
When the DVFSRC (dynamic voltage and frequency scaling resource collector)
feature is not implemented, the PCIe hardware will assert a voltage request

the link to fail to exit the L1 PM Substates.

Disable DVFSRC voltage request by default, we need to find a common way to
enable it in the future.
