dc71f4e142 wifi: rtlwifi: Add new members to struct rtl_priv for RTL8192DU
These are needed for the dual MAC version of RTL8192DU.

The two mutexes are used to avoid concurrent access to the hardware
from the two USB interfaces.

The two arrays are filled by one interface during LC calibration and
accessed by the other interface during channel switching.

014bba73b5 wifi: rtlwifi: Adjust rtl8192d-common for USB
A few of the shared functions need small changes for the USB driver:
 - firmware loading
 - efuse reading
 - rate mask updating
 - rf register reading
 - initial gain for scanning

Also, add a few macros to wifi.h and initialise rtlhal.interfaceindex
for USB devices.

db5ae2e182 wifi: rtlwifi: Move code from rtl8192de to rtl8192d-common
Create the new module rtl8192d-common and move some code into it from
rtl8192de. Now the rtl8192de driver (PCI) and the new rtl8192du driver
(USB) can share some of the code.

This is mostly the code that required little effort to make it
shareable. There are a few more functions which they could share, with
more changes.

Add phy_iq_calibrate member to struct rtl_hal_ops to allow moving the
TX power tracking code from dm.c.

The other changes in this patch are adjusting whitespace, renaming some
functions, making some arrays const, and making checkpatch.pl less
unhappy.

rtl8192de is compile-tested only. rtl8192d-common is tested with the
new rtl8192du driver.

0a44dfc070 wifi: mac80211: simplify non-chanctx drivers
There are still surprisingly many non-chanctx drivers, but in
mac80211 that code is a bit awkward. Simplify this by having
those drivers assign 'emulated' ops, so that the mac80211 code

cuts the number of places caring about it by about 15, which
are scattered across - now they're fewer and no longer in the

b06439c668 wifi: rtlwifi: Speed up firmware loading for USB
Currently it takes almost 6 seconds to upload the firmware for RTL8192CU
(and 11 seconds for RTL8192DU). That's because the firmware is uploaded
one byte at a time.

Also, after plugging the device, the firmware gets uploaded three times
before a connection to the AP is established.

Maybe this is fine for most users, but when testing changes to the
driver it's really annoying to wait so long.

Speed up the firmware upload by writing chunks of 64 bytes at a time.
This way it takes about 110 ms for RTL8192CU (and about 210 ms for
RTL8192DU).

PCI devices could upload it in chunks of 4 bytes, but I don't have any
to test and commit 89d32c9071 ("rtlwifi: Download firmware as bytes
rather than as dwords") decided otherwise anyway.

Allocate memory for the firmware image with kmalloc instead of vzalloc
because this memory is passed directly to usb_control_msg(), which
can't take memory allocated by vmalloc.

but the RTL8192DU (soon to be supported by rtlwifi) has a problem:
it transmits everything at the 1M rate in the 2.4 GHz band. (The 5 GHz
band is still untested.)

With this patch, rtl_usb performs the register writes using the
synchronous usb_control_msg() function, and the RTL8192DU works
normally. The RTL8192CU still works.

The vendor drivers use the async writes in only one function,
rtl8192du_trigger_gpio_0 / rtl8192cu_trigger_gpio_0, which probably
doesn't even run in real life. They use sync writes everywhere else.

Also, remove "sync" and "async" from the names of the members of
struct rtl_io to avoid confusion:

write{8,16,32}_async -> write{8,16,32}
 read{8,16,32}_sync  ->  read{8,16,32}

b3943b3c29 wifi: rtlwifi: Remove bogus and dangerous ASPM disable/enable code
Ever since introduction in the commit 0c8173385e ("rtl8192ce: Add new
driver") the rtlwifi code has, according to comments, attempted to
disable/enable ASPM of the upstream bridge by writing into its LNKCTL
register. However, the code has never been correct because it performs
the writes to the device instead of the upstream bridge.

Worse yet, the offset where the PCIe capabilities reside is derived
from the offset of the upstream bridge. As a result, the write will use
an offset on the device that does not relate to the LNKCTL register
making the ASPM disable/enable code outright dangerous.

Because of those problems, there is no indication that the driver needs
disable/enable ASPM on the upstream bridge. As the Capabilities offset
is not correctly calculated for the write to target device's LNKCTL
register, the code is not disabling/enabling device's ASPM either.
Therefore, just remove the upstream bridge related ASPM disable/enable
code entirely.

The upstream bridge related ASPM code was the only user of the struct
mp_adapter members num4bytes, pcibridge_pciehdr_offset, and
pcibridge_linkctrlreg so those are removed as well.

Note: This change does not remove the code related to changing the
device's ASPM on purpose (which is independent of this flawed code
related to upstream bridge's ASPM).

The root cause of the problem is that the comparison order of
"prate_section" in _rtl8812ae_phy_set_txpower_limit() is wrong. The
_rtl8812ae_eq_n_byte() is used to compare the first n bytes of the two
strings from tail to head, which causes the problem. In the
_rtl8812ae_phy_set_txpower_limit(), it was originally intended to meet
this requirement by carefully designing the comparison order.
For example, "pregulation" and "pbandwidth" are compared in order of
length from small to large, first is 3 and last is 4. However, the
comparison order of "prate_section" dose not obey such order requirement,
therefore when "prate_section" is "HT", when comparing from tail to head,
it will lead to access out of bounds in _rtl8812ae_eq_n_byte(). As
mentioned above, the _rtl8812ae_eq_n_byte() has the same function as
strcmp(), so just strcmp() is enough.

Fix it by removing _rtl8812ae_eq_n_byte() and use strcmp() barely.
Although it can be fixed by adjusting the comparison order of
"prate_section", this may cause the value of "rate_section" to not be
from 0 to 5. In addition, commit "21e4b0726dc6" not only moved driver
from staging to regular tree, but also added setting txpower limit
function during the driver config phase, so the problem was introduced
by this commit.

already been done in the "else" branch. Compile test only.

93fbc1ebd9 wifi: rtlwifi: 8192de: correct checking of IQK reload
Since IQK could spend time, we make a cache of IQK result matrix that looks
like iqk_matrix[channel_idx].val[x][y], and we can reload the matrix if we
have made a cache. To determine a cache is made, we check
iqk_matrix[channel_idx].val[0][0].

The initial commit 7274a8c229 ("rtlwifi: rtl8192de: Merge phy routines")
make a mistake that checks incorrect iqk_matrix[channel_idx].val[0] that
is always true, and this mistake is found by commit ee3db469dd
("wifi: rtlwifi: remove always-true condition pointed out by GCC 12"), so
I recall the vendor driver to find fix and apply the correctness.

b97dcb8575 wireless-next patches for v5.20
Here's a first set of patches for v5.20. This is just a
queue flush, before we get things back from net-next that
are causing conflicts, and then can start merging a lot
of MLO (multi-link operation, part of 802.11be) code.

 Lots of cleanups all over.

The only notable change is perhaps wilc1000 being the
first driver to disable WEP (while enabling WPA3).

b88d28146c wifi: rtlwifi: fix error codes in rtl_debugfs_set_write_h2c()
If the copy_from_user() fails or the user gives invalid date then the
correct thing to do is to return a negative error code. (Currently it
returns success).

I made a copy additional related cleanups:
1) There is no need to check "buffer" for NULL. That's handled by
copy_from_user().
2) The "h2c_len" variable cannot be negative because it is unsigned
and because sscanf() does not return negative error codes.
