659e43fd37 wifi: mwifiex: enable host mlme on sdio W8997 chipsets
Enable the host MLME flag to allow supported W8997 chipsets to
use WPA3. This feature requires firmware support (V2 API key), which
the driver validates before activation.

Tested using sdsd8997_combo_v4.bin from commit
211fbc287a0b ("linux-firmware: Update FW files for MRVL SD8997 chips")

e50e30fa96 wifi: mwifiex: Constify struct mwifiex_if_ops
'struct mwifiex_if_ops' are not modified in these drivers.

Constifying these structures moves some data to a read-only section, so
increase overall security, especially when the structure holds some
function pointers.

On a x86_64, with allmodconfig, as an example:
Before:

36995892c2 wifi: mwifiex: add host mlme for client mode
Add host based MLME to enable WPA3 functionalities in client mode.
This feature required a firmware with the corresponding V2 Key API
support. The feature (WPA3) is currently enabled and verified only
on IW416. Also, verified no regression with change when host MLME
is disabled.

bba047f158 wifi: mwifiex: Support SD8978 chipset
The Marvell SD8978 (aka NXP IW416) uses identical registers as SD8987,
so reuse the existing mwifiex_reg_sd8987 definition.

Note that mwifiex_reg_sd8977 and mwifiex_reg_sd8997 are likewise
identical, save for the fw_dump_ctrl register: They define it as 0xf0
whereas mwifiex_reg_sd8987 defines it as 0xf9. I've verified that
0xf9 is the correct value on SD8978. NXP's out-of-tree driver uses
0xf9 for all of them, so there's a chance that 0xf0 is not correct
in the mwifiex_reg_sd8977 and mwifiex_reg_sd8997 definitions. I cannot
test that for lack of hardware, hence am leaving it as is.

NXP has only released a firmware which runs Bluetooth over UART.
Perhaps Bluetooth over SDIO is unsupported by this chipset.
Consequently, only an "sdiouart" firmware image is referenced, not an
alternative "sdsd" image.

562354ab9f mwifiex: Add SD8997 SDIO-UART firmware
With a recent change now it is possible to detect the strapping
option on SD8997, which allows to pick up a correct firmware
for either SDIO-SDIO or SDIO-UART.

This commit enables SDIO-UART firmware on SD8997.

255ca28a65 mwifiex: Select firmware based on strapping
Some WiFi/Bluetooth modules might have different host connection
options, allowing to either use SDIO for both WiFi and Bluetooth,
or SDIO for WiFi and UART for Bluetooth. It is possible to detect
whether a module has SDIO-SDIO or SDIO-UART connection by reading
its host strap register.

This change introduces a way to automatically select appropriate
firmware depending of the connection method, and removes a need
of symlinking or overwriting the original firmware file with a
required one.

Host strap register used in this commit comes from the NXP driver [1]
hosted at Code Aurora.

53708f4fd9 mwifiex: fix double free
clang static analysis reports this problem:

When mwifiex_init_sdio() fails in its first call to

again. If the second alloc of mpa_tx.buf fails, the error
handler will try to free the old, previously freed mpa_rx.buf.
Reviewing the code, it looks like a second double free would
happen with mwifiex_cleanup_sdio().

So set both pointers to NULL when they are freed.

cdb2256f79 mwifiex: Re-work support for SDIO HW reset
The SDIO HW reset procedure in mwifiex_sdio_card_reset_work() is broken,
when the SDIO card is shared with another SDIO func driver. This is the
case when the Bluetooth btmrvl driver is being used in combination with
mwifiex. More precisely, when mwifiex_sdio_card_reset_work() runs to resets
the SDIO card, the btmrvl driver doesn't get notified about it. Beyond that
point, the btmrvl driver will fail to communicate with the SDIO card.

This is a generic problem for SDIO func drivers sharing an SDIO card, which
are about to be addressed in subsequent changes to the mmc core and the
mmc_hw_reset() interface. In principle, these changes means the
mmc_hw_reset() interface starts to return 1 if the are multiple drivers for
the SDIO card, as to indicate to the caller that the reset needed to be
scheduled asynchronously through a hotplug mechanism of the SDIO card.

Let's prepare the mwifiex driver to support the upcoming new behaviour of
mmc_hw_reset(), which means extending the mwifiex_sdio_card_reset_work() to
support the asynchronous SDIO HW reset path. This also means, we need to
allow the ->remove() callback to run, without waiting for the FW to be
loaded. Additionally, during system suspend, mwifiex_sdio_suspend() may be
called when a reset has been scheduled, but waiting to be executed. In this
scenario let's simply return -EBUSY to abort the suspend process, as to
allow the reset to be completed first.

b82d6c1f8f mwifiex: Make resume actually do something useful again on SDIO cards
The commit fc3a2fcaa1 ("mwifiex: use atomic bitops to represent
adapter status variables") had a fairly straightforward bug in it. It
contained this bit of diff:

 - if (!adapter->is_suspended) {
 + if (test_bit(MWIFIEX_IS_SUSPENDED, &adapter->work_flags)) {

As you can see the patch missed the "!" when converting to the atomic
bitops. This meant that the resume hasn't done anything at all since
that commit landed and suspend/resume for mwifiex SDIO cards has been
totally broken.

After fixing this mwifiex suspend/resume appears to work again, at
least with the simple testing I've done.

6396bb2215 treewide: kzalloc() -> kcalloc()
The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This
patch replaces cases of:

        kzalloc(a * b, gfp)

with:
        kcalloc(a * b, gfp)

as well as handling cases of:

        kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp)

with:

        kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)

as it's slightly less ugly than:

        kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

        kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)

though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.

Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

The Coccinelle script used for this was:

21c5c83ce8 mwifiex: support sysfs initiated device coredump
Since commit 3c47d19ff4 ("drivers: base: add coredump driver ops")
it is possible to initiate a device coredump from user-space. This
patch adds support for it adding the .coredump() driver callback.
As there is no longer a need to initiate it through debugfs remove
that code.

7e34c0d2f6 Revert "mwifiex: cancel pcie/sdio work in remove/shutdown handler"
This reverts commit b713bbf147.

The "fix" in question does not actually fix all related problems, and it
also introduces new deadlock possibilities. Since commit b014e96d1a
("PCI: Protect pci_error_handlers->reset_notify() usage with
device_lock()"), the race in question is actually resolved (PCIe reset
cannot happen at the same time as remove()). Instead, this "fix" just
introduces a deadlock where mwifiex_pcie_card_reset_work() is waiting on
device_lock, which is held by PCIe device remove(), which is waiting
on...mwifiex_pcie_card_reset_work().

The proper thing to do is just to fix the deadlock. Patch for this will
come separately.

b713bbf147 mwifiex: cancel pcie/sdio work in remove/shutdown handler
The last command used to shutdown firmware might be timeout,
and trigger firmware dump in asynchronous pcie/sdio work.

The remove/shutdown handler will continue free core data
structure private/adapter, which might be dereferenced in
pcie/sdio work, finally crash the kernel.

Sync and Cancel pcie/sdio work, could be a fix for above
cornel case. In this way, the last command timeout could
be handled properly.

21f569af9a mwifiex: initiate card-specific work atomically
The non-atomic test + set is a little awkward here, and it technically
means we might double-schedule work unnecessarily. AFAICT, this is not
really a problem, since the extra "work" will be a no-op (the flag(s)
will be cleared by then), but it's still an anti-pattern.

Rewrite this to use the atomic test_and_set_bit() helper instead.

755b37c93a mwifiex: catch mwifiex_fw_dpc() errors properly in reset
When resetting the device, we take a synchronous firmware-loading code
path, which borrows a lot from the asynchronous path used at probe time.
We don't catch errors correctly though, which means that in the PCIe
driver, we may try to dereference the 'adapter' struct after
mwifiex_fw_dpc() has freed it. See this (erronous) print in
mwifiex_pcie_reset_notify():

	mwifiex_dbg(adapter, INFO, "%s, successful\n", __func__);

Let's instead refactor the synchronous (or "!req_fw_nowait") path so
that we propagate errors and handle them properly.

This fixes a use-after-free issue in the PCIe driver, as well as a
misleading debug message ("successful"). It looks like the SDIO driver
doesn't have these problems, since it doesn't do anything after
mwifiex_reinit_sw().

5caa7f3846 mwifiex: fix kernel crash after shutdown command timeout
We observed a SHUTDOWN command timeout during reboot stress test due to
a corner case firmware bug. It can lead to either a use-after-free +
OOPS (on either the adapter structure, or the 'card' structure) or an
abort (where, e.g., the PCI device is "disabled" before we're done
dumping the FW).

We can avoid this by canceling/flushing the FW dump work:

(a) after we've terminated all other work queues (e.g., for processing
    commands which could time out)
(b) after we've disabled all interrupts (which could also queue more
    work for us)
(c) after we've unregistered the netdev and wiphy structures (and
    implicitly, and debugfs entries which could manually trigger FW dumps)
(d) before we've actually disabled the device (e.g.,
    pci_device_disable())

Altogether, this means no card->work will be scheduled if we sync at
a point that satisfies the above. This can be done at the beginning of
the .cleanup_if() callback.

c742e623e9 mwifiex: sdio card reset enhancement
Commit b4336a282d ("mwifiex: sdio: reset adapter using mmc_hw_reset")
introduces a simple sdio card reset solution based on card remove and

adapter structures are not protected, concurrent access will result in
kernel panic issues.

Let's reuse PCIe FLR's functions for SDIO reset to avoid freeing and
