cf80c02a9f wifi: iwlwifi: Fix error code in iwl_op_mode_dvm_start()
Preserve the error code if iwl_setup_deferred_work() fails.  The current
code returns ERR_PTR(0) (which is NULL) on this path.  I believe the
missing error code potentially leads to a use after free involving
debugfs.

432a41232c wifi: iwlwifi: dvm: restore n_no_reclaim_cmds setting
Apparently I accidentally removed this setting in my transport
configuration rework, leading to an endless stream of warnings
from the PCIe code when relevant notifications are received by
the driver from firmware. Restore it.

589ceda64c wifi: iwlwifi: rename iwl_cfg to iwl_rf_cfg
With all the cleanups now, we can rename the structure to
better indicate the functionality. For older devices this
isn't quite accurate, of course, but it's better to have a
name that reflects future use for maintenance.

Add some kernel-doc while at it.

264e744fec wifi: iwlwifi: rename struct iwl_base_params
These are (going to be) base MAC parameters that are identical
even for different platforms with the same MAC, so rename the
structure accordingly, calling it iwl_family_base_params.

Also rename the pointer to it so the dereferencing is a bit
shorter.

c96a364910 wifi: iwlwifi: rename cfg_trans_params to mac_cfg
Since 9000 series devices, the devices are split into MAC and
CRF parts. Currently, "struct iwl_cfg" reflects some MAC and
some RF parameters, but we want to clean this up and move the
MAC data to what's now "struct iwl_cfg_trans_params". As the
first step, to reflect the intent, rename this structure.

08e77d5edf wifi: iwlwifi: rework transport configuration
Instead of having a trans_configure method that copies all
the data, just have the users set up the configuration in
the transport directly. This simplifies the code on both
sides. While doing so also move some value from the trans
struct into the conf struct because they are configuration.

7391b2a4f7 wifi: iwlwifi: rework firmware error handling
In order to later add the ability to do deeper resets of the
device when it crashes, first restructure the firmware error
handling. Instead of having just a single nic_error() method
that handles all, split it:
 - nic_error() just handles and prints the error itself,
 - dump_error() synchronously creates an error dump, and
 - sw_reset() will be called to request doing a SW reset.

This changes the architecture so that the transport is now
responsible for deciding how to do the reset, and therefore
the handling of reprobe if error occurs during reconfig
moves there, which necessitates adding a method there that
notifies the transport that the recovery was completed.

Actually introducing the model under which deeper resets can
be done will be in future patches.

Except for some special handling in DVM, error dump and some
message behaviour, cmd_queue_full and nic_error are equivalent
now. Unify by giving a special error type, so DVM can continue
to differentiate.

a3092c99b9 wifi: iwlwifi: differentiate NIC error types
Instead of differentiating only sync/async, differentiate
the type of error, and document that only reset handshake
timeout (IWL_ERR_TYPE_RESET_HS_TIMEOUT) needs sync handling.

The special sync handling is somewhat temporary, the idea
is to later split the nic_error() method into error dump,
synchronizing the dump, and SW reset methods, and the type
is mostly in order to unify command queue full handling
into that new architecture as well.

7921c41149 wifi: iwlwifi: use default command queue watchdog timeout
We used to have the opmode configuring it to the trans according to the
debug tlv value (FW_DBG_TRIGGER_TXQ_TIMERS).
But this debug is not used, so trans can just have the default value
hardcoded.

c3745ee2e3 wifi: iwlwifi: fw: increase fw_version string size
In reality 64 bytes are enough to hold fw version string,
but some compilers can complain (with W=1) that output may be
truncated when building this string with snprintf.
Increase the size to avoid this sort of warnings and state
explicitely that we want the size to be trancated to 32 bytes.

55c6d8f89d iwlwifi: support 4-bits in MAC step value
We have a MAC component (which is inside the SoC) and it has several
different HW steps.  3 bits used to be enough but now we need 4-bits
to represent all the different steps.

Properly support 4-bits in the MAC step value by refactoring all the
current handling of the MAC step/dash.

Already from family 8000 and up the dash (bits 0-1) no longer exists
and the step (until 8000 bits 2-3) consists of the dash bits as well.

To do this remove the CSR_HW_REV_STEP and the CSR_HW_REV_DASH
macros, replace them with CSR_HW_REV_STEP_DASH and add hw_rev_step
into the trans struct.

In addition remove the CSR_HW_IF_CONFIG_REG_MSK_MAC_STEP and
CSR_HW_IF_CONFIG_REG_MSK_MAC_DASH macros and create a new macro
combining the 2 (this way we don't need shifting or anything else.)

This module parameter should not be mangled by users.
This relates to a very old driver and I doubt people can
really check the antenna coupling in a way that would make
the BT Coexistence work better with a real value.

79b6c8feb6 iwlwifi: separate elements from cfg that are needed by trans_alloc
In order to be able to select the cfg depending on the HW revision or
on the RF ID, we need to set up the trans before selecting the cfg.
To do so, move the elements from cfg that are needed by
iwl_trans_alloc() to a separate struct at the top of the cfg, so it
can be used by other cfg types as well, before selecting the rest of
the configuration.

64866e5da1 iwlwifi: move iwl_nvm_check_version() into dvm
This function is only half-used by mvm (i.e. only the nvm_version part
matters, since the calibration version is irrelevant), so it's
pointless to export it from iwlwifi.  If mvm uses this function, it
has the additional complexity of setting the calib version to a bogus
value on all cfg structs.

To avoid this, move the function to dvm and make a simple comparison
of the nvm_version in mvm instead.

fix iwlwifi_dev_ucode_error tracepoint to pass pointer to a table
instead of all 17 arguments by value.
dvm/main.c and mvm/utils.c have 'struct iwl_error_event_table'
defined with very similar yet subtly different fields and offsets.
tracepoint is still common and using definition of 'struct iwl_error_event_table'
from dvm/commands.h while copying fields.
Long term this tracepoint probably should be split into two.

21cb3222fe iwlwifi: decouple PCIe transport from mac80211
The PCIe transport needs to store two pointers in each TX SKB, and
currently assumes mac80211's ieee80211_tx_info is present in the CB
to do that.

In order to remove that assumption, have the opmodes pass in the
offset to where the pointers can be stored in the CB and use the
offset in the PCIe code.

To make the disentanglement complete, remove mac80211.h includes
from everywhere in the generic iwlwifi code. This required adding
an include of cfg80211.h in one place.
