3c3adb2251 octeontx2-pf: flower: check for unsupported control flags
Use flow_rule_is_supp_control_flags() to reject filters with
unsupported control flags.

In case any unsupported control flags are masked,
flow_rule_is_supp_control_flags() sets a NL extended
error message, and we return -EOPNOTSUPP.

Remove FLOW_DIS_FIRST_FRAG specific error message,
and treat it as any other unsupported control flag.

Only compile-tested.

a88e0f936b octeontx2: Detect the mbox up or down message via register
A single line of interrupt is used to receive up notifications
and down reply messages from AF to PF (similarly from PF to its VF).
PF acts as bridge and forwards VF messages to AF and sends respsones
back from AF to VF. When an async event like link event is received
by up message when PF is in middle of forwarding VF message then
mailbox errors occur because PF state machine is corrupted.
Since VF is a separate driver or VF driver can be in a VM it is
not possible to serialize from the start of communication at VF.
Hence to differentiate between type of messages at PF this patch makes
sender to set mbox data register with distinct values for up and down
messages. Sender also checks whether previous interrupt is received
before triggering current interrupt by waiting for mailbox data register
to become zero.

dcd8dbf9e7 net: ethtool: get rid of get/set_rxfh_context functions
Add the RSS context parameters to struct ethtool_rxfh_param and use the
get/set_rxfh to handle the RSS contexts as well.

This is part 2/2 of the fix suggested in [1]:

 - Add a rss_context member to the argument struct and a capability
like cap_link_lanes_supported to indicate whether driver supports
rss contexts, then you can remove *et_rxfh_context functions,
   and instead call *et_rxfh() with a non-zero rss_context.

fb6e30a725 net: ethtool: pass a pointer to parameters to get/set_rxfh ethtool ops
The get/set_rxfh ethtool ops currently takes the rxfh (RSS) parameters
as direct function arguments. This will force us to change the API (and
all drivers' functions) every time some new parameters are added.

This is part 1/2 of the fix, as suggested in [1]:

- First simplify the code by always providing a pointer to all params
(indir, key and func); the fact that some of them may be NULL seems
like a weird historic thing or a premature optimization.
It will simplify the drivers if all pointers are always present.

 - Then make the functions take a dev pointer, and a pointer to a
single struct wrapping all arguments. The set_* should also take
   an extack.

4aa1d8f89b octeontx2-pf: Fix ntuple rule creation to direct packet to VF with higher Rx queue than its PF
It is possible to add a ntuple rule which would like to direct packet to
a VF whose number of queues are greater/less than its PF's queue numbers.
For example a PF can have 2 Rx queues but a VF created on that PF can have
8 Rx queues. As of today, ntuple rule will reject rule because it is
checking the requested queue number against PF's number of Rx queues.
As a part of this fix if the action of a ntuple rule is to move a packet
to a VF's queue then the check is removed. Also, a debug information is
printed to aware user that it is user's responsibility to cross check if
the requested queue number on that VF is a valid one.

88e69af061 octeontx2-pf: Fix page pool cache index corruption.
The access to page pool `cache' array and the `count' variable
is not locked. Page pool cache access is fine as long as there
is only one consumer per pool.

octeontx2 driver fills in rx buffers from page pool in NAPI context.
If system is stressed and could not allocate buffers, refiiling work
will be delegated to a delayed workqueue. This means that there are
two cosumers to the page pool cache.

Either workqueue or IRQ/NAPI can be run on other CPU. This will lead
to lock less access, hence corruption of cache pool indexes.

To fix this issue, NAPI is rescheduled from workqueue context to refill
rx buffers.

49fa4b0d06 octeontx2-pf: fix page_pool creation fail for rings > 32k
octeontx2 driver calls page_pool_create() during driver probe()
and fails if queue size > 32k. Page pool infra uses these buffers
as shock absorbers for burst traffic. These pages are pinned down
over time as working sets varies, due to the recycling nature
of page pool, given page pool (currently) don't have a shrinker
mechanism, the pages remain pinned down in ptr_ring.
Instead of clamping page_pool size to 32k at
most, limit it even more to 2k to avoid wasting memory.

ec87f05402 octeontx2-af: Install TC filter rules in hardware based on priority
As of today, hardware does not support installing tc filter
rules based on priority. This patch adds support to install
the hardware rules based on priority. The final hardware rules
will not be dependent on rule installation order, it will be strictly
priority based, same as software.

e7002b3b20 octeontx2-pf: mcs: Generate hash key using ecb(aes)
Hardware generated encryption and ICV tags are found to
be wrong when tested with IEEE MACSEC test vectors.
This is because as per the HRM, the hash key (derived by

Linus Torvalds
3a8a670eee Networking changes for 6.5.
Core
 ----

  - Rework the sendpage & splice implementations. Instead of feeding
data into sockets page by page extend sendmsg handlers to support
taking a reference on the data, controlled by a new flag called
MSG_SPLICE_PAGES. Rework the handling of unexpected-end-of-file
to invoke an additional callback instead of trying to predict what
the right combination of MORE/NOTLAST flags is.
    Remove the MSG_SENDPAGE_NOTLAST flag completely.

  - Implement SCM_PIDFD, a new type of CMSG type analogous to
SCM_CREDENTIALS, but it contains pidfd instead of plain pid.

  - Enable socket busy polling with CONFIG_RT.

  - Improve reliability and efficiency of reporting for ref_tracker.

  - Auto-generate a user space C library for various Netlink families.

 Protocols
 ---------

  - Allow TCP to shrink the advertised window when necessary, prevent
sk_rcvbuf auto-tuning from growing the window all the way up to
    tcp_rmem[2].

  - Use per-VMA locking for "page-flipping" TCP receive zerocopy.

  - Prepare TCP for device-to-device data transfers, by making sure
that payloads are always attached to skbs as page frags.

  - Make the backoff time for the first N TCP SYN retransmissions
linear. Exponential backoff is unnecessarily conservative.

  - Create a new MPTCP getsockopt to retrieve all info (MPTCP_FULL_INFO).

  - Avoid waking up applications using TLS sockets until we have
    a full record.

  - Allow using kernel memory for protocol ioctl callbacks, paving
the way to issuing ioctls over io_uring.

  - Add nolocalbypass option to VxLAN, forcing packets to be fully
encapsulated even if they are destined for a local IP address.

  - Make TCPv4 use consistent hash in TIME_WAIT and SYN_RECV. Ensure
in-kernel ECMP implementation (e.g. Open vSwitch) select the same
link for all packets. Support L4 symmetric hashing in Open vSwitch.

  - PPPoE: make number of hash bits configurable.

  - Allow DNS to be overwritten by DHCPACK in the in-kernel DHCP client
    (ipconfig).

  - Add layer 2 miss indication and filtering, allowing higher layers
(e.g. ACL filters) to make forwarding decisions based on whether
packet matched forwarding state in lower devices (bridge).

  - Support matching on Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) packets.

  - Hide the "link becomes ready" IPv6 messages by demoting their
    printk level to debug.

  - HSR: don't enable promiscuous mode if device offloads the proto.

  - Support active scanning in IEEE 802.15.4.

  - Continue work on Multi-Link Operation for WiFi 7.

 BPF
 ---

  - Add precision propagation for subprogs and callbacks. This allows
maintaining verification efficiency when subprograms are used,
or in fact passing the verifier at all for complex programs,
    especially those using open-coded iterators.

  - Improve BPF's {g,s}setsockopt() length handling. Previously BPF
assumed the length is always equal to the amount of written data.
But some protos allow passing a NULL buffer to discover what
the output buffer *should* be, without writing anything.

  - Accept dynptr memory as memory arguments passed to helpers.

  - Add routing table ID to bpf_fib_lookup BPF helper.

  - Support O_PATH FDs in BPF_OBJ_PIN and BPF_OBJ_GET commands.

  - Drop bpf_capable() check in BPF_MAP_FREEZE command (used to mark
    maps as read-only).

  - Show target_{obj,btf}_id in tracing link fdinfo.

  - Addition of several new kfuncs (most of the names are self-explanatory):
    - Add a set of new dynptr kfuncs: bpf_dynptr_adjust(),
      bpf_dynptr_is_null(), bpf_dynptr_is_rdonly(), bpf_dynptr_size()
      and bpf_dynptr_clone().
    - bpf_task_under_cgroup()
    - bpf_sock_destroy() - force closing sockets
    - bpf_cpumask_first_and(), rework bpf_cpumask_any*() kfuncs

 Netfilter
 ---------

  - Relax set/map validation checks in nf_tables. Allow checking
presence of an entry in a map without using the value.

  - Increase ip_vs_conn_tab_bits range for 64BIT builds.

  - Allow updating size of a set.

  - Improve NAT tuple selection when connection is closing.

 Driver API
 ----------

  - Integrate netdev with LED subsystem, to allow configuring HW
"offloaded" blinking of LEDs based on link state and activity
(i.e. packets coming in and out).

  - Support configuring rate selection pins of SFP modules.

  - Factor Clause 73 auto-negotiation code out of the drivers, provide
    common helper routines.

  - Add more fool-proof helpers for managing lifetime of MDIO devices
    associated with the PCS layer.

  - Allow drivers to report advanced statistics related to Time Aware
    scheduler offload (taprio).

  - Allow opting out of VF statistics in link dump, to allow more VFs
    to fit into the message.

  - Split devlink instance and devlink port operations.

72dc6db7e3 workqueue: Ordered workqueue creation cleanups
For historical reasons, unbound workqueues with max concurrency limit of 1
are considered ordered, even though the concurrency limit hasn't been
system-wide for a long time. This creates ambiguity around whether ordered
execution is actually required for correctness, which was actually confusing
for e.g. btrfs (btrfs updates are being routed through the btrfs tree).

There aren't that many users in the tree which use the combination and there
are pending improvements to unbound workqueue affinity handling which will
make inadvertent use of ordered workqueue a bigger loss. This pull request
clarifies the situation for most of them by updating the ones which require
 ordered execution to use alloc_ordered_workqueue().

There are some conversions being routed through subsystem-specific trees and
likely a few stragglers. Once they're all converted, workqueue can trigger a
warning on unbound + @max_active==1 usages and eventually drop the implicit
 ordered behavior.

6b4b2ded9c octeontx2-pf: Refactor schedular queue alloc/free calls
1. Upon txschq free request, the transmit schedular config in hardware
is not getting reset. This patch adds necessary changes to do the same.

2. Current implementation calls txschq alloc during interface
initialization and in response handler updates the default txschq array.
This creates a problem for htb offload where txsch alloc will be called
for every tc class. This patch addresses the issue by reading txschq
response in mbox caller function instead in the response handler.

3. Current otx2_txschq_stop routine tries to free all txschq nodes
allocated to the interface. This creates a problem for htb offload.
This patch introduces the otx2_txschq_free_one to free txschq in a

bd9424efc4 macsec: Use helper macsec_netdev_priv for offload drivers
Now macsec on top of vlan can be offloaded to macsec offloading

packet structure is DMAC|SMAC|VLAN|SECTAG. Offloading devices can
simply enable NETIF_F_HW_MACSEC feature in netdev->vlan_features for

289f974674 net: octeontx2: Use alloc_ordered_workqueue() to create ordered workqueues
BACKGROUND
==========

When multiple work items are queued to a workqueue, their execution order
doesn't match the queueing order. They may get executed in any order and
simultaneously. When fully serialized execution - one by one in the queueing
order - is needed, an ordered workqueue should be used which can be created
with alloc_ordered_workqueue().

However, alloc_ordered_workqueue() was a later addition. Before it, an
ordered workqueue could be obtained by creating an UNBOUND workqueue with
@max_active==1. This originally was an implementation side-effect which was
broken by 4c16bd327c ("workqueue: restore WQ_UNBOUND/max_active==1 to be
ordered"). Because there were users that depended on the ordered execution,
5c0338c687 ("workqueue: restore WQ_UNBOUND/max_active==1 to be ordered")
made workqueue allocation path to implicitly promote UNBOUND workqueues w/
@max_active==1 to ordered workqueues.

While this has worked okay, overloading the UNBOUND allocation interface
this way creates other issues. It's difficult to tell whether a given
workqueue actually needs to be ordered and users that legitimately want a
min concurrency level wq unexpectedly gets an ordered one instead. With
planned UNBOUND workqueue updates to improve execution locality and more
prevalence of chiplet designs which can benefit from such improvements, this
isn't a state we wanna be in forever.

This patch series audits all callsites that create an UNBOUND workqueue w/
@max_active==1 and converts them to alloc_ordered_workqueue() as necessary.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR
================

The conversions are from

  alloc_workqueue(WQ_UNBOUND | flags, 1, args..)

to

  alloc_ordered_workqueue(flags, args...)

which don't cause any functional changes. If you know that fully ordered
execution is not ncessary, please let me know. I'll drop the conversion and
instead add a comment noting the fact to reduce confusion while conversion
is in progress.

If you aren't fully sure, it's completely fine to let the conversion
through. The behavior will stay exactly the same and we can always
reconsider later.

As there are follow-up workqueue core changes, I'd really appreciate if the
patch can be routed through the workqueue tree w/ your acks. Thanks.

9bdfe61054 octeontx2-pf: mcs: Fix shared counters logic
Macsec stats like InPktsLate and InPktsDelayed share
same counter in hardware. If SecY replay_protect is true
then counter represents InPktsLate otherwise InPktsDelayed.
This mode change was tracked based on protect_frames
instead of replay_protect mistakenly. Similarly InPktsUnchecked
and InPktsOk share same counter and mode change was tracked
based on validate_check instead of validate_disabled.
This patch fixes those problems.

66c0e13ad2 drivers: net: turn on XDP features
A summary of the flags being set for various drivers is given below.
Note that XDP_F_REDIRECT_TARGET and XDP_F_FRAG_TARGET are features
that can be turned off and on at runtime. This means that these flags
may be set and unset under RTNL lock protection by the driver. Hence,
READ_ONCE must be used by code loading the flag value.

Also, these flags are not used for synchronization against the availability
of XDP resources on a device. It is merely a hint, and hence the read
may race with the actual teardown of XDP resources on the device. This
may change in the future, e.g. operations taking a reference on the XDP
resources of the driver, and in turn inhibiting turning off this flag.
However, for now, it can only be used as a hint to check whether device
supports becoming a redirection target.

55ba18dc62 octeontx2-pf: Fix the use of GFP_KERNEL in atomic context on rt
The commit 4af1b64f80 ("octeontx2-pf: Fix lmtst ID used in aura
free") uses the get/put_cpu() to protect the usage of percpu pointer
in ->aura_freeptr() callback, but it also unnecessarily disable the
preemption for the blockable memory allocation. The commit 87b93b678e
("octeontx2-pf: Avoid use of GFP_KERNEL in atomic context") tried to
fix these sleep inside atomic warnings. But it only fix the one for
the non-rt kernel. For the rt kernel, we still get the similar warnings
like below.
BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at kernel/locking/spinlock_rt.c:46

Of course, we can shuffle the get/put_cpu() to only wrap the invocation
of ->aura_freeptr() as what commit 87b93b678e does. But there are only
two ->aura_freeptr() callbacks, otx2_aura_freeptr() and
cn10k_aura_freeptr(). There is no usage of perpcu variable in the
otx2_aura_freeptr() at all, so the get/put_cpu() seems redundant to it.
We can move the get/put_cpu() into the corresponding callback which
really has the percpu variable usage and avoid the sprinkling of
get/put_cpu() in several places.

their devlink_ops::info_get callback function.

In order to factorize code, make devlink_nl_info_fill() add the driver
name attribute.

Now that the core sets the driver name attribute, drivers are not
supposed to call devlink_info_driver_name_put() anymore. Remove
devlink_info_driver_name_put() and clean-up all the drivers using this
function in their callback.

This patch addresses pfc_alloc_status array overflow occurring for

In those scenarios the API should return default tx scheduler '0'.

2ef4e45d99 octeontx2-af: Add PTP PPS Errata workaround on CN10K silicon
Errata:
The ptp_clock_hi rollsover to zero one clock cycle before it
reaches one second boundary. As a result, the pps threshold
comparison fails after one second and the pps output signal
won't toggle further.

This patch workarounds the issue by programming the pps_lo_incr
register to 500msec minus one clock cycle period, ensuring that
the pps threshold comparison succeeds at one second rollover
boundary and pps edge toggles. After that point, the driver will
have enough time (~500msec) to reset the pps threshold value.
After each one second boundary, hrtimer is invoked which resets
the pps threshold value.

13c9f4dc10 octeontx2-pf: Fix NIX_AF_TL3_TL2X_LINKX_CFG register configuration
For packets scheduled to RPM and LBK, NIX_AF_PSE_CHANNEL_LEVEL[BP_LEVEL]
selects the TL3 or TL2 scheduling level as the one used for link/channel
selection and backpressure. For each scheduling queue at the selected
level: Setting NIX_AF_TL3_TL2(0..255)_LINK(0..12)_CFG[ENA] = 1 allows
the TL3/TL2 queue to schedule packets to a specified RPM or LBK link
and channel.

There is an issue in the code where NIX_AF_PSE_CHANNEL_LEVEL[BP_LEVEL]
is set to TL3 where as the NIX_AF_TL3_TL2(0..255)_LINK(0..12)_CFG is
configured for TL2 queue in some cases. As a result packets will not
transmit on that link/channel. This patch fixes the issue by configuring
the NIX_AF_TL3_TL2(0..255)_LINK(0..12)_CFG register depending on the
NIX_AF_PSE_CHANNEL_LEVEL[BP_LEVEL] value.

dmac filters. This requires field size of DMAC filter count
and index to be increased.

68793a8bbf octeontx2: Modify mbox request and response structures
Exact match table modification requires wider fields as it has
more number of slots to fill in. Modifying an entry in exact match
table may cause hash collision and may be required to delete entry
from 4-way 2K table and add to fully associative 32 entry CAM table.

504148fedb net: add skb_[inner_]tcp_all_headers helpers
Most drivers use "skb_transport_offset(skb) + tcp_hdrlen(skb)"
to compute headers length for a TCP packet, but others
use more convoluted (but equivalent) ways.

Add skb_tcp_all_headers() and skb_inner_tcp_all_headers()
helpers to harmonize this a bit.

d887ae3247 octeontx2-pf: Remove unnecessary synchronize_irq() before free_irq()
Calling synchronize_irq() right before free_irq() is quite useless. On one
hand the IRQ can easily fire again before free_irq() is entered, on the
other hand free_irq() itself calls synchronize_irq() internally (in a race
condition free way), before any state associated with the IRQ is freed.

2b330a6a6c octeontx2-pf: replace bitmap_weight with bitmap_empty where appropriate
In some places, octeontx2 code calls bitmap_weight() to check if any bit of
a given bitmap is set. It's better to use bitmap_empty() in that case
because bitmap_empty() stops traversing the bitmap as soon as it finds
first set bit, while bitmap_weight() counts all bits unconditionally.

d97b4b105c flow_offload: reject offload for all drivers with invalid police parameters
As more police parameters are passed to flow_offload, driver can check
them to make sure hardware handles packets in the way indicated by tc.
The conform-exceed control should be drop/pipe or drop/ok. Besides,
for drop/ok, the police should be the last action. As hardware can't
configure peakrate/avrate/overhead, offload should not be supported if
any of them is configured.

68258596cb octeontx2-pf: Vary completion queue event size
Completion Queue Entry(CQE) is a descriptor written
by hardware to notify software about the send and
receive completion status. The CQE can be of size
128 or 512 bytes. A 512 bytes CQE can hold more receive
fragments pointers compared to 128 bytes CQE. This
patch enables to modify CQE size using:
<ethtool -G cqe-size N>.

74c1b2338e octeontx2-pf: cn10k: add support for new ptp timestamp format
The cn10k hardware ptp timestamp format has been modified primarily
to support 1-step ptp clock. The 64-bit timestamp used by hardware is
split into two 32-bit fields, the upper one holds seconds, the lower
one nanoseconds. A new register (PTP_CLOCK_SEC) has been added that
returns the current seconds value. The nanoseconds register PTP_CLOCK_HI
resets after every second. The cn10k RPM block provides Rx/Tx timestamps
to the NIX block using the new timestamp format. The software can read
the current timestamp in nanoseconds by reading both PTP_CLOCK_SEC &
PTP_CLOCK_HI registers.

This patch provides support for new timestamp format.

4b0385bc8e octeontx2-pf: Add TC feature for VFs
This patch adds TC feature for VFs also. When MCAM
rules are allocated for a VF then either TC or ntuple
filters can be used. Below are the commands to use
TC feature for a VF(say lbk0):

devlink dev param set pci/0002:01:00.1 name mcam_count value 16 \
 cmode runtime
ethtool -K lbk0 hw-tc-offload on
ifconfig lbk0 up
tc qdisc add dev lbk0 ingress
tc filter add dev lbk0 parent ffff: protocol ip flower skip_sw \
 dst_mac 98:03:9b:83:aa:12 action police rate 100Mbit burst 5000

Also to modify any fields of the hardware context with
NIX_AQ_INSTOP_WRITE command then corresponding masks of those
fields must be set as per hardware. This was missing in
ingress ratelimiting context. This patch sets those masks also.
