ed472263fc media: rzg2l-cru: csi2: Skip system clock for RZ/V2H(P) SoC
The RZ/V2H(P) SoC does not require a `system` clock for the CSI-2
interface. To accommodate this, introduce a `has_system_clk` bool flag
in the `rzg2l_csi2_info` structure and update the rzg2l_csi2_probe() to
conditionally request the clock only when needed.

This patch is in preparation for adding support for RZ/V2H(P) SoC.

15cef2dc7d media: rzg2l-cru: csi2: Introduce SoC-specific D-PHY handling
In preparation for adding support for the RZ/V2H(P) SoC, where the D-PHY
differs from the existing RZ/G2L implementation, introduce a new
rzg2l_csi2_info structure. This structure provides function pointers for
SoC-specific D-PHY enable and disable operations.

Modify rzg2l_csi2_dphy_setting() to use these function pointers instead of
calling rzg2l_csi2_dphy_enable() and rzg2l_csi2_dphy_disable() directly.
Update the device match table to store the appropriate function pointers
for each compatible SoC.

This change prepares the driver for future extensions without affecting
the current functionality for RZ/G2L.

14423fc3a4 media: venus: pm_helpers: add compatibility for dev_pm_genpd_set_hwmode on V4
There are two ways to switch GDSC mode. One is to write the POWER_CONTROL
register and the other is to use dev_pm_genpd_set_hwmode(). However, they
rely on different clock driver flags. dev_pm_genpd_set_hwmode() depends on
the HW_CTRL_TRIGGER flag and POWER_CONTROL register depends on the HW_CTRL
flag.

By default, the dev_pm_genpd_set_hwmode() is used to switch the GDSC mode.
If it fails and dev_pm_genpd_set_hwmode() returns -EOPNOTSUPP, it means
that the clock driver uses the HW_CTRL flag. At this time, the GDSC mode
is switched to write the POWER_CONTROL register.

Clock driver is using HW_CTRL_TRIGGER flag with V6. So hwmode_dev is
always true on using V6 platform. Conversely, if hwmode_dev is false, this
platform must be not using V6. Therefore, replace IS_V6 in poweroff_coreid
with hwmode_dev. Also, with HW_CTRL_TRIGGER flag, the vcodec gdsc gets
enabled in SW mode by default. Therefore, before disabling the GDSC, GDSC
should be switched to SW mode so that GDSC gets enabled in SW mode in the
next enable.

b588898880 media: venus: vdec: queue dpb buffers to firmware for video seek
For the seek case, the input port will be called stream_off and then
stream_on in the driver. Firmware will flush all buffers during stream_off
input port. Therefore, driver needs to queue DPB buffers to firmware
during stream_on input port to ensure that decoder can decode normally
when it receives enough input and output buffers. Otherwise, decoder
will not be able to decode due to lack of DPB buffer even if there are
enough input and output buffers.

88655d6421 media: qcom: camss: Add support for 3ph CSIPHY write settle delay
Currently we have an s32 value called delay which has been inherited from
the CamX code for PHY init. This unused value relates to a post-write delay
latching time.

In the silicon test-bench which provides the basis for the CamX code the
write settle times are specified in nanoseconds.

In the upstream kernel we currently take no notice of the delay value and
use all zero in any case.

Nanosecond granularity timing from the perspective of the kernel is total
overkill, however for some PHY init sequences introduction of a settle
delay has a use.

Add support to the 3ph init sequence for microsecond level delay. A
readback of written data would probably accomplish the same thing but,
since the PHY init sequences in the wild provide a delay value - we can
just add support here for that delay and consume the values given.

Generally these delays are probably not necessary but, they do speak to a
theoretical delay that silicon test-benches utilise and therefore are
worthwhile to replicate if the given PHY init sequence has the data.

9ea16ba6ea media: amphion: Add a frame flush mode for decoder
By default the amphion decoder will pre-parse 3 frames before starting
to decode the first frame. Alternatively, a block of flush padding data
can be appended to the frame, which will ensure that the decoder can
start decoding immediately after parsing the flush padding data, thus
potentially reducing decoding latency.

This mode was previously only enabled, when the display delay was set to
0. Allow the user to manually toggle the use of that mode via a module
parameter called low_latency, which enables the mode without
changing the display order.

        if (hdmirx_dev->num_clks < 1)

69baf245b2 media: venus: hfi: add check to handle incorrect queue size
qsize represents size of shared queued between driver and video
firmware. Firmware can modify this value to an invalid large value. In
such situation, empty_space will be bigger than the space actually
available. Since new_wr_idx is not checked, so the following code will
result in an OOB write.
...
qsize = qhdr->q_size

if (wr_idx >= rd_idx)
 empty_space = qsize - (wr_idx - rd_idx)
....
if (new_wr_idx < qsize) {
 memcpy(wr_ptr, packet, dwords << 2) --> OOB write

Add check to ensure qsize is within the allocated size while
reading and writing packets into the queue.

9edaaa8e3e media: venus: hfi_parser: refactor hfi packet parsing logic
words_count denotes the number of words in total payload, while data
points to payload of various property within it. When words_count
reaches last word, data can access memory beyond the total payload. This
can lead to OOB access. With this patch, the utility api for handling
individual properties now returns the size of data consumed. Accordingly
remaining bytes are calculated before parsing the payload, thereby
eliminates the OOB access possibilities.

d09100763b media: iris: add support for drain sequence
handle the V4L2_DEC_CMD_STOP by initiating a drain sequence on the
firmware. Process and decode all OUTPUT buffers, that are queued by the
client, before the VIDIOC_DECODER_CMD() was issued and mark the last
buffer with the V4L2_BUF_FLAG_LAST flag. The decoder is stopped, after
processing the last buffer.

Resume the decoder when one of these operations are issued by the client:
- V4L2_DEC_CMD_START
- pair of VIDIOC_STREAMOFF() and VIDIOC_STREAMON() on the CAPTURE queue
- pair of VIDIOC_STREAMOFF() and VIDIOC_STREAMON() on the OUTPUT queue

Add the handling to resume decoding when client issues
V4L2_DEC_CMD_START to resume decoding after a source change is detected.

87c2c27165 media: qcom: camss: csiphy-3ph: Remove redundant PHY init sequence control loop
Adding a new CSIPHY init sequence using downstream as a reference prompted
me to look at why we are splitting up the init sequence into chunks.

Right now we declare CSI PHY init sequences as an array of five equally
sized writes with a hard-coded control loop to iterate through each of the
five indexes. One bug in this model is that if you don't have an even
number of writes, you can't init the PHY as you wish.

In downstream the original code has something of the character
phy_init_seq[MAX_LANES][MAX_PARAMS] which in upstream we have translated
into phy_init_seq[5][SOME_NUMBER_OF_EQUAL_WRITES];

What the code does is take a pointer to the first index of the
r = &phy_init_seq[0][0]; and then literally does write(r, value); r++;

The controlling loop that hard-codes '5' in-lieu of MAX_LANES does no
special sleep, fabric-coherence sync or even a printk() to justify its
existence. Our compilers are optimising all of this away anyway so lets
drop.

Reduce the array declaration down to one flat aggregate init and let the
code just step through. As a happy side-effect we can then also handle
odd-number writes as the number of elements in the init sequence will no
longer have to be evenly divisible.

1d6d399223 Kthreads affinity follow either of 4 existing different patterns:
1) Per-CPU kthreads must stay affine to a single CPU and never execute
    relevant code on any other CPU. This is currently handled by smpboot
    code which takes care of CPU-hotplug operations. Affinity here is
    a correctness constraint.

 2) Some kthreads _have_ to be affine to a specific set of CPUs and can't
    run anywhere else. The affinity is set through kthread_bind_mask()
    and the subsystem takes care by itself to handle CPU-hotplug
    operations. Affinity here is assumed to be a correctness constraint.

 3) Per-node kthreads _prefer_ to be affine to a specific NUMA node. This
    is not a correctness constraint but merely a preference in terms of
    memory locality. kswapd and kcompactd both fall into this category.
    The affinity is set manually like for any other task and CPU-hotplug
    is supposed to be handled by the relevant subsystem so that the task
    is properly reaffined whenever a given CPU from the node comes up.
    Also care should be taken so that the node affinity doesn't cross
    isolated (nohz_full) cpumask boundaries.

 4) Similar to the previous point except kthreads have a _preferred_
    affinity different than a node. Both RCU boost kthreads and RCU
    exp kworkers fall into this category as they refer to "RCU nodes"
    from a distinctly distributed tree.

 Currently the preferred affinity patterns (3 and 4) have at least 4
 identified users, with more or less success when it comes to handle
 CPU-hotplug operations and CPU isolation. Each of which do it in its own
 ad-hoc way.

 This is an infrastructure proposal to handle this with the following API
 changes:

 _ kthread_create_on_node() automatically affines the created kthread to
   its target node unless it has been set as per-cpu or bound with
   kthread_bind[_mask]() before the first wake-up.

 - kthread_affine_preferred() is a new function that can be called right
   after kthread_create_on_node() to specify a preferred affinity
   different than the specified node.

 When the preferred affinity can't be applied because the possible
 targets are offline or isolated (nohz_full), the kthread is affine
 to the housekeeping CPUs (which means to all online CPUs most of the
 time or only the non-nohz_full CPUs when nohz_full= is set).

 kswapd, kcompactd, RCU boost kthreads and RCU exp kworkers have been
 converted, along with a few old drivers.

 Summary of the changes:

 * Consolidate a bunch of ad-hoc implementations of kthread_run_on_cpu()

 * Introduce task_cpu_fallback_mask() that defines the default last
   resort affinity of a task to become nohz_full aware

 * Add some correctness check to ensure kthread_bind() is always called
   before the first kthread wake up.

 * Default affine kthread to its preferred node.

 * Convert kswapd / kcompactd and remove their halfway working ad-hoc
   affinity implementation

 * Implement kthreads preferred affinity

 * Unify kthread worker and kthread API's style

 * Convert RCU kthreads to the new API and remove the ad-hoc affinity

b04e317b52 treewide: Introduce kthread_run_worker[_on_cpu]()
kthread_create() creates a kthread without running it yet. kthread_run()
creates a kthread and runs it.

On the other hand, kthread_create_worker() creates a kthread worker and
runs it.

This difference in behaviours is confusing. Also there is no way to
create a kthread worker and affine it using kthread_bind_mask() or
kthread_affine_preferred() before starting it.

Consolidate the behaviours and introduce kthread_run_worker[_on_cpu]()
that behaves just like kthread_run(). kthread_create_worker[_on_cpu]()
will now only create a kthread worker without starting it.

In commit 4af65141e3 ("media: marvell: cafe: Register V4L2 device

mccic_register() into its caller, marvell/cafe's cafe_pci_probe().
This is not the only caller though -- there's also marvell/mmp.

Add v4l2_device_register() into mmpcam_probe() to unbreak the MMP camera

9229b53f97 Revert "media: qcom: camss: Restructure camss_link_entities"
This reverts commit cc1ecabe67.

This commit has a basic flaw in that it relies on camss->res->csid_num as a
control to index the array camss->vfe[i].

Testing on a platform where csid_num > vfe_num showed this bug up.

camss->vfe should only be indexed by camss->res->vfe_num. Since this commit
is meant to make the code be more readable reverting will simply restore
the previous correct bounds checking.

We can make another pass at making camss_link_entities look prettier but,
for now we should zap the bug introduced.

687bfbba5a media: venus: Add support for static video encoder/decoder declarations
Add resource structure data and probe() logic to support static
declarations of encoder and decoder.

Right now we rely on video encoder/decoder selection happening in the dtb
but, this goes against the remit of device tree which is supposed to
describe hardware, not select functional logic in Linux drivers.

Provide two strings in the venus resource structure enc_nodename and
dec_nodename.

When set the venus driver will create an OF entry in-memory consistent
with:

dec_nodename {
    compat = "video-decoder";
};

and/or

enc_nodename {
    compat = "video-encoder";
};

This will allow us to reuse the existing driver scheme of relying on compat
names maintaining compatibility with old dtb files.

dec_nodename can be "video-decoder" or "video0"
enc_nodename can be "video-encoder" or "video1"

This change relies on of_changeset() API as a result select OF_DYNAMIC will
be added to venus/Kconfig

This partially reverts commit that made hfi_session_destroy()
the first step of vdec/venc close(). The reason being is a
regression report when, supposedly, encode/decoder is closed
with still active streaming (no ->stop_streaming() call before

and fails to process those pending pkts. This was the idea
behind the original patch - make it impossible to use instance

MM_REG_WRITE, but confusingly, both of them take a mask parameter. The
difference is that MM_REG_WRITE additionally checks whether the mask
passed in contains the register mask, in which case, the 0xffffffff mask
is passed to cmdq_pkt_write_mask(), effectively disregarding the mask
and calling cmdq_pkt_write() as an optimization.

Move that optimization to the MM_REG_WRITE_MASK macro and make
MM_REG_WRITE the variant that doesn't take a mask, directly calling to
cmdq_pkt_write().

Change the call sites to MM_REG_WRITE whenever a mask wasn't necessary
(ie 0xffffffff or a <register>_MASK was passed as mask) and in other
cases to MM_REG_WRITE_MASK.

6c10d1adae media: rkisp1: Reduce min_queued_buffers to 1
There apparently is no reason to require 3 queued buffers to call
streamon() for the RkISP1 as the driver operates with a scratch buffer
where frames can be directed to if there's no available buffer provided
by userspace.

Reduce the number of required buffers to 1 to allow applications to
operate with a single queued buffer.

Tested with libcamera, by operating with a single capture request. The
same request (and associated capture buffer) gets recycled once
completed. This of course causes a frame rate drop but doesn't hinder
operations.

   - Convert zii,rave-sp-wdt, zii,rave-sp-pwrbutton, and
     altr,fpga-passive-serial to DT schema format

   - Add some documentation on the different forms of YAML text blocks
     which are a constant source of review comments

   - Add compatibles for qcom,sar2130p-pdc and onnn,adt7462

  DT core:

   - Allow overlay kunit tests to run CONFIG_OF_OVERLAY=n

   - Add some warnings on deprecated address handling

   - Rework early_init_dt_scan() so the arch can pass in the phys

     a warning for arm64 with kexec.

   - Add and use some new DT graph iterators for iterating over ports

`WARN_ON(!fmt)` check in `rzg2l_cru_format_bytesperline()` is unnecessary
because the `rzg2l_cru_format_align()` function ensures that a valid

a result, `rzg2l_cru_format_from_pixel()` is guaranteed to return a

`u32`, but the code returned `-EINVAL`, a negative value. This mismatch is

1b7e7240ea media: rcar-vin: Add support for RAW10
Some R-Car SoCs are capable of capturing RAW10. Extend the format
enumeration, validation and setup to expose and configure for this
format if the particular device supports it.

The VIN is usually capable of converting from most media bus formats to
a range of different pixel formats. However if the input media bus
format is a RAW10 format this is not possible so the corresponding pixel
output format is forced.

7e86c7a520 media: rcar-csi2: Add support for R-Car V4M
The V4M is the second Gen4 device that is enabled in the rcar-csi2
driver. There is much overlap with the already supported V4H device. The
registers that where new on Gen4 and where added with the V4H prefix are
retained and only new registers unique to the V4M are added with the new
V4M prefix. This follows the style for when V4H was added which had an
overlap with Gen3 registers.

The V4M CSI-2 receiver supports D-PHY mode only, either in 1-, 2- or
4-lane configuration. The datasheets do not document lane swapping and
is left out for now.

While the V4M only supports D-PHY the configuration for it is added in
such a way that it can be reused for V4H which supports both C-PHY and
D-PHY. No known SoC exists to test the D-PHY configuration on V4H so
it's not wired-up.
