7281a7bd5b media: rcar-isp: Rename base register variable
Prepare for extending the driver to in addition to supporting the
channel selector (CS) also support the core ISP. The two different
functions have different base addresses so the driver needs to
distinguish between them.

Prepare for this by marking existing base address variable and
read/write functions to make it clear they operate on the CS portion of
the driver. There is no functional change.

9103d33f22 media: rcar-isp: Move driver to own directory
Before extending the driver with functions from the R-Car ISP core that
will span multiple files move the existing driver to a separate
directory. While at it rename the single source file to allow future
files to be grouped by functions.

94bf847ae5 media: rcar-vin: Fix RAW10
Fix the following to get RAW10 formats working:

In rvin_formats, the bpp is set to 4 for RAW10. As VIN unpacks RAW10 to
16-bit containers, the bpp should be 2.

Don't set VNDMR_YC_THR to the VNDMR register. The YC_THR is "YC Data
Through Mode", used for YUV formats and should not be set for RAW10.

9396770c3a media: rcar-csi2: Remove hack to detect NTSC content
In an effort to emulate support for SEQ_{TB,BT} in the R-Car VIN driver
on data captured from a CVBS input a hack was added to detect NTSC vs
PAL. This is ugly and as support for emulated SEQ_{TB,BT} have been
removed from the VIN driver remove the ugly hack.

c1eefe88c3 media: rcar-vin: Simplify the shutdown process
When shutting down capture extra care was needed to try and complete a
buffer that was involved in the emulated support for SEQ_{TB,BT}. This
was needed as a buffer might be queued once to the driver, but two times
to the hardware using different offsets.

As support for SEQ_{TB,BT} is now removed this shutdown process can be
greatly simplified. And in addition the state keeping of the VIN device
can be reduced to a single boolean value instead of keeping track of
this SEQ_{TB,BT} stopping dance.

25482a986e media: rcar-vin: Remove superfluous starting state
The STARTING state is superfluous and can be replaced with a check of
the sequence counter. The design idea is that the first buffer returned
from the driver have to come from the first hardware buffer slot.
Failing this the first 3 buffers queued to the device can be returned
out-of-order.

But it's much clearer to check the sequence counter to only return the
first buffer if it comes from hardware slot 0 then it is to carry around
an extra state just for this. Remove the unneeded state and replace it
with a simpler check.

1dadd89b58 media: rcar-vin: Remove superfluous suspended state
The VIN state of suspended is superfluous. The logic was that when the
device were suspended and in a RUNNING state the state was set to
SUSPENDED. And when resuming it checked if the state is SUSPENDED and if
so started the device and changed it to RUNNING.

This can be avoided by simply checking if the device is in a RUNNING
state at both suspend and resume callbacks. Remove the unneeded
complexity.

f2f0cd8925 media: rcar-vin: Remove emulated SEQ_{TB,BT}
When the driver was converted from soc_camera software support for
V4L2_FIELD_SEQ_TB and V4L2_FIELD_SEQ_BT were added. This was done by
capturing twice to the same VB2 buffer, but at different offsets.

This turned out to be a bad idea and it never really worked properly in
all situations. As the hardware can't support this mode natively remove
trying to emulate it in software. It's still possible to capture TOP or
BOTTOM fields separately or both ALTERNATING. If user-space wants the
same  fields in the same buffer the same hack to capture twice to the
same buffer can be done.

Removing this error prone emulated support pave ways in future work to
simplify the internal buffer handling and making it less fragile, while
enabling adding support for other features the hardware actually
supports.

1d1e564fce media: rzg2l-cru: Add support for RZ/G3E SoC
The CRU block on the Renesas RZ/G3E SoC is similar to the one found on
the Renesas RZ/G2L SoC, with the following differences:

- Additional registers rzg3e_cru_regs.
- A different irq handler rzg3e_cru_irq.
- A different rzg3e_cru_csi2_setup.
- A different max input width.
- Additional stride register.

Introduce rzg3e_cru_info struct to handle differences between RZ/G2L
and RZ/G3E and related RZ/G3E functions:

 - rzg3e_cru_enable_interrupts()
 - rzg3e_cru_enable_interrupts()
 - rz3e_fifo_empty()
 - rzg3e_cru_csi2_setup()
 - rzg3e_cru_get_current_slot()

Add then support for the RZ/G3E SoC CRU block with the new compatible
string "renesas,r9a09g047-cru".

3c3433c5b3 media: rzg2l-cru: Add function pointer to configure CSI
Add a `csi_setup` function pointer to the `rzg2l_cru_info` structure and
pass it as part of the OF data. On RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H(P) SoCs, additional
register configurations are required compared to the RZ/G2L SoC.

Modify `rzg2l_cru_csi2_setup()` to be referenced through this function
pointer and update the code to use it accordingly.

This change is in preparation for adding support for RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H(P)
SoCs.

446c645f7f media: rzg2l-cru: Add function pointer to check if FIFO is empty
Add a `fifo_empty` function pointer to the `rzg2l_cru_info` structure and
pass it as part of the OF data. On RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H(P) SoCs, checking if
the FIFO is empty requires a different register configuration.

Implement `rzg2l_fifo_empty()` and update the code to use it from the
function pointer.

2d9e3eb740 media: rzg2l-cru: Add IRQ handler to OF data
Add `irq_handler` to the `rzg2l_cru_info` structure and pass it as part of
the OF data. This prepares for supporting RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H(P) SoCs, which
require a different IRQ handler. Update the IRQ request code to use the
handler from the OF data.

Add `enable_interrupts` and `disable_interrupts` function pointers to the
`rzg2l_cru_info` structure and pass them as part of the OF data. This
prepares for supporting RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H(P) SoCs, which require different
interrupt configurations.

Implement `rzg2l_cru_enable_interrupts()` and
`rzg2l_cru_disable_interrupts()` functions and update the code to use them
instead of directly writing to interrupt registers.

48ce5920da media: rzg2l-cru: Add image_conv offset to OF data
Add `image_conv` field to the `rzg2l_cru_info` structure to store the
register offset for image conversion control. RZ/G2L uses `ICnMC`, while
RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H(P) use `ICnIPMC_C0`.

Update `rzg2l_cru_initialize_image_conv()` and `rzg2l_cru_csi2_setup()`
to use this `image_conv` offset from the OF data, facilitating future
support for RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H(P) SoCs.

5f5ed645b3 media: rzg2l-cru: Pass resolution limits via OF data
Pass `max_width` and `max_height` as part of the OF data to facilitate the
addition of support for RZ/G3E and RZ/V2H(P) SoCs. These SoCs have a
maximum resolution of 4096x4096 as compared to 2800x4095 on RZ/G2L SoC.
This change prepares the driver for easier integration of these SoCs by
defining the resolution limits in the `rzg2l_cru_info` structure.

d9063dc502 media: rzg2l-cru: Add register mapping support
Prepare for adding support for RZ/G3E and RZ/V2HP SoCs, which have a
CRU-IP that is mostly identical to RZ/G2L but with different register
offsets and additional registers. Introduce a flexible register mapping
mechanism to handle these variations.

Define the `rzg2l_cru_info` structure to store register mappings and
pass it as part of the OF match data. Update the read/write functions
to check out-of-bound accesses and use indexed register offsets from
`rzg2l_cru_info`, ensuring compatibility across different SoC variants.

995cfd09ff media: rzg2l-cru: csi2: Add support for RZ/V2H(P) SoC
The D-PHY on the RZ/V2H(P) SoC is different from the D-PHY on the RZ/G2L
SoC. To handle this difference, function pointers for D-PHY enable/disable
have been added, and the `struct rzg2l_csi2_info` pointer is passed as OF
data.

ed472263fc media: rzg2l-cru: csi2: Skip system clock for RZ/V2H(P) SoC
The RZ/V2H(P) SoC does not require a `system` clock for the CSI-2
interface. To accommodate this, introduce a `has_system_clk` bool flag
in the `rzg2l_csi2_info` structure and update the rzg2l_csi2_probe() to
conditionally request the clock only when needed.

This patch is in preparation for adding support for RZ/V2H(P) SoC.

15cef2dc7d media: rzg2l-cru: csi2: Introduce SoC-specific D-PHY handling
In preparation for adding support for the RZ/V2H(P) SoC, where the D-PHY
differs from the existing RZ/G2L implementation, introduce a new
rzg2l_csi2_info structure. This structure provides function pointers for
SoC-specific D-PHY enable and disable operations.

Modify rzg2l_csi2_dphy_setting() to use these function pointers instead of
calling rzg2l_csi2_dphy_enable() and rzg2l_csi2_dphy_disable() directly.
Update the device match table to store the appropriate function pointers
for each compatible SoC.

This change prepares the driver for future extensions without affecting
the current functionality for RZ/G2L.

e7376745ad media: rcar-vin: Fix stride setting for RAW8 formats
Earlier versions of the datasheet where unclear about the stride setting
for RAW8 capture formats. Later datasheets clarifies that the stride
only process in this mode for non-image data. For image data the full
stride shall be used. Compare section "RAW: 8 Bits and Embedded 8-Bit
Non-Image Data, User Defined 8-bit Data" vs "RAW: 8 Bits".

Remove the special case from pixel formats that carry image data and
treat it as any other image format.

f6470be571 media: rcar-csi2: Update D-PHY startup on V4M
The latest datasheet (Rev.0.70) updates the D-PHY start-up sequence for
D-PHY operation. Unfortunately the datasheet do not add any additional
documentation on the magic values.

This have been tested together with the MAX96724 available on the single
board test platform and it works as expected.

b06ec03b74 media: rcar-csi2: Allow specifying C-PHY line order
Later versions of the V4H datasheet adds documentation for the line
order register needed to support all possible configurations. Extend the
driver to take the line order for each data line into account when
configuring the device.

Unfortunately not all registers initially thought to be involved in line
order configuration where directly related. One magic value is still in
the driver and left as-is, but it is not related to line order as that
procedure have now been documented.

4bf194e10e media: platform: drop vb2_ops_wait_prepare/finish
Since commit 88785982a1 ("media: vb2: use lock if wait_prepare/finish
are NULL") it is no longer needed to set the wait_prepare/finish
vb2_ops callbacks as long as the lock field in vb2_queue is set.

Since the vb2_ops_wait_prepare/finish callbacks already rely on that field,
we can safely drop these callbacks.

This simplifies the code and this is a step towards the goal of deleting
these callbacks.

2269e399b3 media: renesas: rzg2l-cru: Add 'yuv' flag to IP format structure
Add a 'yuv' flag to the `rzg2l_cru_ip_format` structure to indicate
whether a given format is YUV-based and update the `rzg2l_cru_ip_formats`
array with this flag appropriately. This change enables a more efficient
way to check if the input and output formats use the same colorspace.

With this change, we can eliminate the use of `v4l2_format_info()` in
`rzg2l_cru_initialize_image_conv()` as the necessary details for the source
and destination formats are already available through the `yuv` flag.

Implement the `.link_validate()` callback for the video node and move the
format checking into this function. This change allows the removal of
`rzg2l_cru_mc_validate_format()`.

Remove the `rzg2l_cru_format_bytesperline()` function and inline the
calculation of `bytesperline` directly in `rzg2l_cru_format_align()`.

Refactor the handling of supported formats in the RZ/G2L CRU driver by
adding `pixelformat` and `bpp` members to the `rzg2l_cru_ip_format`
structure.

New helper functions, `rzg2l_cru_ip_format_to_fmt()` and
`rzg2l_cru_ip_index_to_fmt()`, are added to retrieve format information
based on 4CC format and index, respectively. These helpers allow the
removal of the now redundant `rzg2l_cru_format_from_pixel()` function.

The new helpers are used in `rzg2l_cru_format_bytesperline()`,
`rzg2l_cru_format_align()`, and `rzg2l_cru_enum_fmt_vid_cap()`,
streamlining the handling of supported formats and improving code
maintainability.

b56dccafda media: rzg2l-cru: Simplify configuring input format for image processing
Move the `rzg2l_cru_ip_format` struct to `rzg2l-cru.h` for better
accessibility and add a `datatype` member to it, allowing the
configuration of the ICnMC register based on the MIPI CSI2 data type.

Also, move the `rzg2l_cru_ip_code_to_fmt()` function to `rzg2l-cru.h`
to streamline format lookup and make it more accessible across the
driver.

0e575e4eb6 media: rzg2l-cru: Remove unnecessary WARN_ON check in format func
`WARN_ON(!fmt)` check in `rzg2l_cru_format_bytesperline()` is unnecessary
because the `rzg2l_cru_format_align()` function ensures that a valid
`pixelformat` is set before calling `rzg2l_cru_format_bytesperline()`. As
a result, `rzg2l_cru_format_from_pixel()` is guaranteed to return a
non-NULL value, making the check redundant.

Additionally, the return type of `rzg2l_cru_format_bytesperline()` is
`u32`, but the code returned `-EINVAL`, a negative value. This mismatch is
now resolved by removing the invalid error return path.

The RZ/G2L CRU requires information about which VCx to process data from,
among the four available VCs. To obtain this information, the
.get_frame_desc() routine is implemented. This routine, in turn, calls

1b7e7240ea media: rcar-vin: Add support for RAW10
Some R-Car SoCs are capable of capturing RAW10. Extend the format
enumeration, validation and setup to expose and configure for this
format if the particular device supports it.

The VIN is usually capable of converting from most media bus formats to
a range of different pixel formats. However if the input media bus
format is a RAW10 format this is not possible so the corresponding pixel
output format is forced.

7e86c7a520 media: rcar-csi2: Add support for R-Car V4M
The V4M is the second Gen4 device that is enabled in the rcar-csi2
driver. There is much overlap with the already supported V4H device. The
registers that where new on Gen4 and where added with the V4H prefix are
retained and only new registers unique to the V4M are added with the new
V4M prefix. This follows the style for when V4H was added which had an
overlap with Gen3 registers.

The V4M CSI-2 receiver supports D-PHY mode only, either in 1-, 2- or
4-lane configuration. The datasheets do not document lane swapping and
is left out for now.

While the V4M only supports D-PHY the configuration for it is added in
such a way that it can be reused for V4H which supports both C-PHY and
D-PHY. No known SoC exists to test the D-PHY configuration on V4H so
it's not wired-up.

The structure mapping a configuration information to a particular mpbs
setting needs to be extended with more information to support future
SoCs. Before it is extended reduce code duplication by creating a helper
to lookup information from an array of mbps setting, the lookup code
has already been copied to two speared locations.

While at it rename the structure to make it clear it contains
information related to a mbps setting, not just a single register value.

Most of the registers used on the R-Car V4M CSI-2 IP are shared with the
devices already supported by the rcar-csi2 driver. Two registers which
function and layout are the same are however found on different offsets.

Prepare for adding support for R-Car V4M by storing the offset to these
two registers offsets in the device information structured. This way the
code, which is shared between the devices, can be reused when V4M
support is added.

b230ddd876 media: rcar-csi2: Allow writing any code and data value to PHTW
The helper to write an array of code and data values to the PHY Test
Interface Write Register (PHTW) register uses the case where both code
and data are zero as an exit condition. This prevents writing data = 0
and code = 0 to the register.

Up until now this has been OK as no such combination where needed, and
it was a convenient exit condition. In future writing data = 0 and code
= 0 to the PHTW register will be needed.

Avoid using an exit condition when writing an array of PHTW values and
instead pass the length of the array to the helper. This allows any
combination of code and data to be written.

return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.

Convert all platform drivers below drivers/media to use .remove(), with

a3d44f011c media: renesas: vsp1: Implement .link_validate() for video devices
The v4l2_subdev_link_validate() helper prints a warning if the
.link_validate() operation is not implemented for video devices
connected to the subdevs. Implement the operation to silence the
warning.

Ideally validation of the link between the video device and the subdev
should be implemented in that operation. That would however break
userspace that does not configure formats on all video devices before
starting streaming. While this mode of operation may not be considered
valid by the V4L2 API specification (interpretation differ), it is
nonetheless supported by the vsp1 driver at the moment and used by at
least the vsp1 unit test suite, and possibly other userspace
applications. Removing it would be a regression.

Some VSP modules initialize their control handler after initializing the
subdev, while some initialize it before. This makes the code
inconsistent and more error prone. Standardize on control initialization
after initializing the subdev.

To prepare for the removal of the vsp1_entity.state field, pass the
state to all entity operations that needs to access it, instead of
accessing the state from the entity inside the operation handlers. This
lowers the number of accesses to the field.

Entities access various piece of information from the subdev state when
configuring a partition. The same data is available through the
partition structure passed to the .configure_partition() operation. Use
it to avoid accessing the state, which will simplify moving to the V4L2
subdev active state API.

0656babf3c media: renesas: vsp1: Compute partitions for DRM pipelines
The DRM pipelines don't partition frames, as the hardware operates
synchronously with the display. The entity operations access
configuration data from the entity state in that case, instead of
accessing the partition structure. This requires special cases in
entity-specific code, increasing the driver complexity.

To prepare for simplifying the code, initialize a single partition for
the DRM pipelines, similarly to how video pipelines create one partition
spanning the full image when partitioning isn't needed. The partition is
allocated statically in the vsp1_drm_pipeline structure instead of
dynamically as for video pipelines, as DRM pipelines are guaranteed to
operate on a single partition.

032000264c media: renesas: vsp1: Add and use function to dump a pipeline to the log
It is useful for debugging purpose to dump a vsp1_pipeline to the kernel
log. Add a new function to do so, and use it when initializing the video
and DRM pipelines.

As __vsp1_pipeline_dump() needs to construct the log message
iteratively, it uses pr_cont(...) (exact equivalent to the more verbose
"printk(KERN_CONT ..."). The function thus can't use dev_dbg() to log
the initial part of the message, for two reasons:

- pr_cont() doesn't seem to work with dev_*(). Even if the format string
  passed to dev_*() doesn't end with a '\n', pr_cont() starts a new line
  in the log. This behaviour doesn't seem to be clearly documented, and
  may or may not be on purpose.

- Messages printed by dev_dbg() may be omitted if dynamic debugging is
  enabled. In that case, the continuation messages will still be
  printed, leading to confusing log messages.

To still benefit from the dynamic debug infrastructure, we declare a
vsp1_pipeline_dump() macro that uses _dynamic_func_call() when dynamic
debugging is enabled. The whole vsp1_pipeline_dump() call can be
selected at runtime. The __vsp1_pipeline_dump() function then uses a
plain "printk(KERN_DEBUG ...)" to print the message header using the
debug log level, and pr_cont() to print the rest of the message on the
same line.

41be7fcc5d media: renesas: vsp1: Replace vsp1_partition_window with v4l2_rect
The vsp1_partition_window structure is used to store the horizontal size
of a partition window. This is all that is currently needed, as all
partitions span the whole image vertically. The horizontal window size
is retrieved in the .configure_partition() handler from the
vsp1_partition_window structure, and the vertical window size from the
subdev state.

Accessing the subdev state in the .configure_partition() handler is
problematic in the context of moving to the V4L2 subdev active state
API, as .configure_partition() is called in non-interruptable context,
and the state lock can't be taken. To avoid this, start by storing the
vertical size in the window, replacing the custom vsp1_partition_window
structure with a v4l2_rect. Retrieving the vertical size from the window
in .configure_partition() will be done in a subsequent change.

The entity .configure_partition() function operates on a partition, and
has to retrieve that partition from the pipeline's current partition
field. Pass the partition pointer to the function to make it clearer
what partition it operates on, and remove the vsp1_pipeline.partition
field.

This change clearly shows that the DRM pipeline doesn't use partitions,
which makes entity implementation more complex and error-prone. This
will be addressed in a further cleanup.

177bfb6803 media: renesas: vsp1: Drop custom .get_fmt() handler for histogram
The histogram module is the only one that has a custom .get_fmt()
handler, to handle the special case of the output format being fixed.
This can equally well be handled in the .set_fmt() handler instead.
Beside avoiding special cases and using the same .get_fmt() handler in
all modules, it ensures that the correct format is stored in the active
state for the source pad, including when .set_fmt() is called from
vsp1_entity_init_state(). Both are needed to later switch to the V4L2
subdev active state API.
