74cae77943 media: qcom: camss: Use the CSIPHY id property to find clock names
Use the CSIPHY id property to find clock names instead of relying on
generating the clock names based on the control-loop index.

x1e80100 has CSIPHY0, CSIPHY1, CSIPHY2 and CSIPHY4 so simple index naming
won't work whereas and 'id' property allows any ordering and any stepping
between the CSIPHY names.

a2a03937d4 media: qcom: camss: csiphy: Add an init callback to CSI PHY devices
Add a nop init callback to CSIPHY devices, this callback is used to add
some HW register offset and register configuration for specific platform,
then different platform can reuse the same CSIPHY driver. Later changes
will enumerate with enabling code.

44fdbb9d1a media: qcom: camss: add management of supply regulators to CSIPHY
This change allows to properly assign and manage supply regulator
resources by CSIPHY subdevices of CAMSS, this is needed to fine tune
description of supply regulators on newer platforms, conversion of
old platforms to the new scheme is also anticipated.

ae44829a4a media: qcom: camss: Add per sub-device type resources
Currently resources structure grows with additional parameters required for
each sub-deivce. However each sub-device has some specific resources or
configurations which need to be passed during the initialization.

This change adds per sub-device type structure to simplify the things
and removes the magical void pointer to hw_ops.

Additionally drivers/media/i2c/s5k5baf.c and
drivers/media/platform/samsung/s3c-camif/camif-capture.c have been
manually changed as Coccinelle didn't. Further local variables have been
removed as they became unused as a result of the other changes.

Also Coccinelle introduced indentation by space in files

35a62432af media: qcom: camss: Fix support for setting CSIPHY clock name csiphyX
Several of our upstream and soon-to-be upstream SoC CAMSS dtsi declare
csiphyX as opposed to the older clock name csiX_phy.

Right now the CAMSS code will fail to set the csiphyX clock even if we have
declared it in our list of clocks. For sdm845 and sm8250 we appear to "get
away" with this error, however on sc8280xp we don't.

The right approach here is to set the clock when it is declared. If a SoC
doesn't require or a SoC driver implementer doesn't think we need, then the
clock ought to simply be omitted from the clock list.

Include csiphyX in the set of permissible strings which will subsequently
lead to the csiphyX clock being set during csiphy_set_clock_rates() phase.

sdm845 and sm8250 will work with the code as-is so I've omitted this from a
suggested Fixes list.

0727615fb9 media: qcom: camss: Functionally decompose CSIPHY clock lookups
The csiphyX_timer and csiX_phy values need not be hard-coded. We can
functionally decompose the string matching inside of a loop.

Static string values are brittle, difficult to extend and not required
anyway since the camss->res->csiphy_num value informs us of the number
of CSIPHYs and hence the set of potential clocks for a given CSIPHY.

In simple terms if we have five CSIPHYs we can have no more and no less
than five csiphy_timer clocks. Similarly csi_phy core clocks have a 1:1
relationship with the PHY they clock.

2de3a6546a media: qcom: camss: Untangle if/else spaghetti in camss
We have a very convoluted if/else legacy here which needs to be
rationalised to make it more sustainable.

Adding in another Soc or two will make some of these if statements into
increasingly large multi-clause behemoths.

Introduce switches in the obvious places to despaghetiify.

c23c799816 media: qcom: camss: Pass CAMSS subdev callbacks via resource ops pointer
It is possible to pass all of the CAMSS subdevice internal operations
pointers from the controlling resources structure with an additional
pointer added to the resources structure.

This allows for the removal of most of the probe-time control structures.

5900b05195 media: qcom: camss: Pass remainder of variables as resources
The following variables are being assigned statically based on
compatible strings in the probe path.

* enum camss_version version;
* unsigned int csiphy_num;
* unsigned int csid_num;
* unsigned int vfe_num;
* unsigned int vfe_lite_num;
* unsigned int vfe_total_num;

Migrate those variables to resource parameters passed in on platform
probe arguments. The one caveat is for VFE it has been necessary to
intoduce a new variable vfe_total_num to capture the aggregate value of

89936bfbdf media: qcom/camss: use 1X16 formats instead of 2X8
Platforms with qcom-camss use CSI-2, which means 1X16 is more correct
than 2X8. The fact that qcom-camss supported only 2X8 meant it was
incompatible with camera sensors it should have been compatible with.

For example, the ov5645 driver (correctly) reports that its format is
UYVY8_1X16 (after ba449bb562).
Since qcom-camss only supports 2X8, the qcom-camss system is
incompatible with the ov5645 driver, even though they should be
compatible.

This patch replaces all uses of UYVY8_2X8/VYUY8_2X8/YUYV8_2X8/YVYU8_2X8
with the equivalent 1X16 formats.

b416be3a87 media: camss: Use platform_get_irq_byname() to get the interrupt
platform_get_resource_byname(pdev, IORESOURCE_IRQ, ..) relies on static
allocation of IRQ resources in DT core code, this causes an issue
when using hierarchical interrupt domains using "interrupts" property
in the node as this bypasses the hierarchical setup and messes up the
irq chaining.

In preparation for removal of static setup of IRQ resource from DT core
code use platform_get_irq_byname().

The Titan 480 camss found on SM8250 has 6 CSIPHY and 4 VFE/CSID.

CSID is compatible with the Titan 170 CSID, but the Titan 480 CSID are
inside the VFE region (between the "top" and "bus" registers), so a
workaround is added to avoid ioremap failure.

0d346d2a6f media: v4l2-subdev: add subdev-wide state struct
We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for
a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those
structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops.

I was working on subdev internal routing between pads, and realized that
there's no way to add TRY functionality for routes, which is not pad
specific configuration. Adding a separate struct for try-route config
wouldn't work either, as e.g. set-fmt needs to know the try-route
configuration to propagate the settings.

This patch adds a new struct, 'struct v4l2_subdev_state' (which at the
moment only contains the v4l2_subdev_pad_config array) and the new
struct is used in most of the places where v4l2_subdev_pad_config was
used. All v4l2_subdev_pad_ops functions taking v4l2_subdev_pad_config
are changed to instead take v4l2_subdev_state.

The changes to drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-subdev.c and
include/media/v4l2-subdev.h were written by hand, and all the driver
changes were done with the semantic patch below. The spatch needs to be
applied to a select list of directories. I used the following shell
commands to apply the spatch:

78c2cc28df media: camss: use v4l2_get_link_freq() to calculate the relevant clocks
There are places in the camss driver where camss_get_pixel_clock() is
called to get the pixel rate (using V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE control) and to
calculate the link frequency from it. There is a case when this would
not work: when V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE gets the rate at which the pixels are
read (sampled) from the sensor's pixel array, and this rate is different
from the pixel transmission rate over the CSI link, the link frequency
value can't be calculated from the pixel rate. One needs to use
V4L2_CID_LINK_FREQ to get the link frequency in this case.

Replace such calls to camss_get_pixel_clock() with calls to a wrapper
around v4l2_get_link_freq(). v4l2_get_link_freq() tries V4L2_CID_LINK_FREQ
first, and if it is not implemented by the camera sensor driver, falls
back to V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE to calculate the link frequency value from.

Calls to camss_get_pixel_clock() from vfe_[check,set]_clock_rates()
are left intact as it looks like this VFE clock does depend on the
rate the pixel samples comes out of the camera sensor, not on the
frequency at which the link between the sensor and the CSI receiver
operates.

4863b93cfd media: camss: csiphy: Set rate on csiX_phy clock on SDM630/660
The SDM630/660 SoCs (and variants) have another clock source
for the PHY, which must be set to a rate that's equal or
greater than the CSI PHY timer clock: failing to do this
will produce PHY overflows when trying to get a stream from
a very high bandwidth camera sensor and outputting no frame
or a partial one.

Since I haven't found any usecase in which the csiX_phy
clock needs to be higher than the csiXphy_timer, let's just
set the same rate on both, which seems to work just perfect.

Currently for msm_csiphy, msm_csid, and msm_ispif subdevices the media
entity function field is set to MEDIA_ENT_F_IO_V4L. This is incorrect

Change it to MEDIA_ENT_F_PROC_VIDEO_PIXEL_FORMATTER as this is the best
fit from the functions defined in include/uapi/linux/media.h.

02afa816db media: camss: Add basic runtime PM support
There is a PM domain for each of the VFE hardware modules. Add
support for basic runtime PM support to be able to control the
PM domains. When a PM domain needs to be powered on - a device
link is created. When a PM domain needs to be powered off -
its device link is removed. This allows separate and
independent control of the PM domains.

Suspend/Resume is still not supported.

Add structs with 8x96 resources. As the number of CSIPHY, CSID

the number at runtime and allocate needed structures
