Move FCH header to a location accessible by all archs
A new header fch.h was created to store registers used by different AMD
drivers. This header was included by i2c-piix4 in
commit 624b0d5696 ("i2c: piix4, x86/platform: Move the SB800 PIIX4 FCH
definitions to <asm/amd/fch.h>"). To prevent compile failures on non-x86
archs i2c-piix4 was set to only compile on x86 by commit 7e173eb82a
("i2c: piix4: Make CONFIG_I2C_PIIX4 dependent on CONFIG_X86").
This was not a good decision because loongarch and mips both actually
support i2c-piix4 and set it enabled in the defconfig.

Move the header to a location accessible by all architectures.

4d6d35d341 i2c: smbus: introduce Write Disable-aware SPD instantiating functions
Some SMBus controllers may restrict writes to addresses where SPD sensors
may reside. This may lead to some SPD sensors not functioning correctly,
and might need extra handling. Introduce new SPD-instantiating functions

c509ebdb95 i2c: amd-asf: Add ACPI support for AMD ASF Controller
The AMD ASF controller is presented to the operating system as an ACPI
device. The AMD ASF driver can use ACPI to obtain information about the
ASF controller's attributes, such as the ASF address space and interrupt
number, and to handle ASF interrupts.

Currently, the piix4 driver assumes that a specific port address is
designated for AUX operations. However, with the introduction of ASF, the
same port address may also be used by the ASF controller. Therefore, a
check needs to be added to ensure that if ASF is advertised and enabled in
ACPI, the AUX port should not be configured.

05d980046f i2c: piix4: Export i2c_piix4 driver functions as library
Export the following i2c_piix4 driver functions as a library so that the

- piix4_sb800_region_request(): Request access to a specific SMBus region
on the SB800 chipset.

- piix4_sb800_region_release(): Release the previously requested SMBus
region on the SB800 chipset.

- piix4_transaction(): Handle SMBus transactions between the SMBus
controller and connected devices.

- piix4_sb800_port_sel(): Select the appropriate SMBus port on the SB800
chipset.

By making these functions available as a library, enable the AMD ASF
driver to leverage the established mechanisms in the i2c_piix4 driver,
promoting code reuse and consistency across different drivers.

9d9929e992 i2c: piix4: Change the parameter list of piix4_transaction function
Currently, `piix4_transaction()` accepts only one parameter, which is the
`i2c_adapter` information. This approach works well as long as SB800 SMBus
port accesses are confined to the piix4 driver. However, with the
implementation of a separate ASF driver and the varying address spaces
across drivers, it is necessary to change the function parameter list of
`piix4_transaction()` to include the port address. This modification
allows other drivers that use piix4 to pass the specific port details they
need to operate on.

569bea74c9 i2c: piix4: Fix adapter not be removed in piix4_remove()
In piix4_probe(), the piix4 adapter will be registered in:

   piix4_probe()
     piix4_add_adapters_sb800() / piix4_add_adapter()
       i2c_add_adapter()

Based on the probed device type, piix4_add_adapters_sb800() or single
piix4_add_adapter() will be called.
For the former case, piix4_adapter_count is set as the number of adapters,
while for antoher case it is not set and kept default *zero*.

When piix4 is removed, piix4_remove() removes the adapters added in
piix4_probe(), basing on the piix4_adapter_count value.
Because the count is zero for the single adapter case, the adapter won't
be removed and makes the sources allocated for adapter leaked, such as
the i2c client and device.

These sources can still be accessed by i2c or bus and cause problems.
An easily reproduced case is that if a new adapter is registered, i2c
will get the leaked adapter and try to call smbus_algorithm, which was
already freed:

The recently added support for EFCH MMIO regions introduced a memory

I am not aware of any CZ-compatible platforms which do not have the

0183eb8bb5 i2c: piix4: Add ACPI support
Enable the i2c-piix4 SMBus controller driver to enumerate I2C slave
devices using ACPI. It builds on the related I2C mux device work
in commit 8eb5c87a92 ("i2c: add ACPI support for I2C mux ports")

In the i2c-piix4 driver the adapters are enumerated as:
Main SMBus adapter Port 0, Port 2, ..., aux port (i.e., ASF adapter)

However, in the AMD BKDG documentation[1], the implied order of ports is:
Main SMBus adapter Port 0, ASF adapter, Port 2, Port 3, ...

This ordering difference is unfortunate. We assume that ACPI
developers will use the AMD documentation ordering, so we have to
pass an extra parameter to piix4_add_adapter().

c7c06a1532 i2c: piix4: Fix port selection for AMD Family 16h Model 30h
Family 16h Model 30h SMBus controller needs the same port selection fix
as described and fixed in commit 0fe16195f8 ("i2c: piix4: Fix SMBus port
selection for AMD Family 17h chips")

commit 6befa3fde6 ("i2c: piix4: Support alternative port selection
register") also fixed the port selection for Hudson2, but unfortunately
this is not the exact same device and the AMD naming and PCI Device IDs
aren't particularly helpful here.

The SMBus port selection register is common to the following Families
and models, as documented in AMD's publicly available BIOS and Kernel
Developer Guides:

 50742 - Family 15h Model 60h-6Fh (PCI_DEVICE_ID_AMD_KERNCZ_SMBUS)
 55072 - Family 15h Model 70h-7Fh (PCI_DEVICE_ID_AMD_KERNCZ_SMBUS)
 52740 - Family 16h Model 30h-3Fh (PCI_DEVICE_ID_AMD_HUDSON2_SMBUS)

The Hudson2 PCI Device ID (PCI_DEVICE_ID_AMD_HUDSON2_SMBUS) is shared
between Bolton FCH and Family 16h Model 30h, but the location of the
SmBus0Sel port selection bits are different:

51192 - Bolton Register Reference Guide

We distinguish between Bolton and Family 16h Model 30h using the PCI
Revision ID:

Bolton is device 0x780b, revision 0x15
  Family 16h Model 30h is device 0x780b, revision 0x1F
  Family 15h Model 60h and 70h are both device 0x790b, revision 0x4A.

The following additional public AMD BKDG documents were checked and do
not share the same port selection register:

 42301 - Family 15h Model 00h-0Fh doesn't mention any
 42300 - Family 15h Model 10h-1Fh doesn't mention any
 49125 - Family 15h Model 30h-3Fh doesn't mention any

48751 - Family 16h Model 00h-0Fh uses the previously supported
         index register SB800_PIIX4_PORT_IDX_ALT at 0x2e

c78babcc7d Annotate hardware config module parameters in drivers/i2c/
When the kernel is running in secure boot mode, we lock down the kernel to
prevent userspace from modifying the running kernel image. Whilst this
includes prohibiting access to things like /dev/mem, it must also prevent
access by means of configuring driver modules in such a way as to cause a
device to access or modify the kernel image.

To this end, annotate module_param* statements that refer to hardware
configuration and indicate for future reference what type of parameter they
specify. The parameter parser in the core sees this information and can
skip such parameters with an error message if the kernel is locked down.
The module initialisation then runs as normal, but just sees whatever the
default values for those parameters is.

Note that we do still need to do the module initialisation because some
drivers have viable defaults set in case parameters aren't specified and
some drivers support automatic configuration (e.g. PNP or PCI) in addition
to manually coded parameters.

This patch annotates drivers in drivers/i2c/.

725d2e3fac i2c: piix4: Add adapter port name support for SB800 chipset
This patch adds support for port names for the SB800 chipset.
Since the chipset supports a multiplexed main SMBus controller, adding
the channel name to the adapter name is necessary to differentiate the
ports better (for example in sensors output).

2fee61d22e i2c: piix4: Add support for multiplexed main adapter in SB800
The SB800 chipset supports a multiplexed main SMBus controller with
four ports. The multiplexed ports share the same SMBus address and
register set. The port is selected by bits 2:1 of the smb_en register
(0x2C).

Only one port can be active at any point in time therefore a mutex is
needed in order to synchronize access.

Additionally, the commit avoids requesting and releasing the SMBus base
address index region on every multiplexed transfer by moving the
request_region call into piix4_probe.

Tested on HP ProLiant MicroServer G7 N54L (where this patch adds
support to access sensor data from the w83795adg).
