The current approach breaks S3/S4 as asic reset is needed for them.
And putting SMU out of service(via SMU_MSG_PrepareMp1ForUnload) will make
that(asic reset) failed. Considering with current designs, there is
actually also asic reset involved on driver reloading. That can make
asic back to a clean state. So, the SMU_MSG_PrepareMp1ForUnload operation
will be not so necessary. Thus we will just drop the SMU_MSG_PrepareMp1ForUnload
operation. We may revise the whole driver reloading sequences when there
is a better design.

Evaluating `pcie_aspm_enabled` as part of driver probe has the implication
that if one PCIe bridge with an AMD GPU connected doesn't support ASPM
then none of them do. This is an invalid assumption as the PCIe core will
configure ASPM for individual PCIe bridges.
Create a new helper function that can be called by individual dGPUs to
react to the `amdgpu_aspm` module parameter without having negative results
for other dGPUs on the PCIe bus.

SMU firmware expects the driver maintains error context
and doesn't interact with SMU any more when SMU errors
occurred. That will aid in debugging SMU firmware issues.
Add SMU debug option support for this request, it can be
enabled or disabled via amdgpu_smu_debug debugfs file.
Use a 32-bit mask to indicate corresponding debug modes.
Currently, only one mode(HALT_ON_ERROR) is supported.
When enabled, it brings hardware to a kind of halt state
so that no one can touch it any more in the envent of SMU
errors.
The dirver interacts with SMU via sending messages. And
threre are three ways to sending messages to SMU in current
implementation. Handle them respectively as following:
1, smu_cmn_send_smc_msg_with_param() for normal timeout cases
Halt on any error.
2, smu_cmn_send_msg_without_waiting()/smu_cmn_wait_for_response()
for longer timeout cases
Halt on errors apart from ETIME. Otherwise this way won't work.
Let the user handle ETIME error in such a case.
3, smu_cmn_send_msg_without_waiting() for no waiting cases
Halt on errors apart from ETIME. Otherwise second way won't work.
== Command Guide ==
1, enable HALT_ON_ERROR mode
# echo 0x1 > /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/amdgpu_smu_debug
2, disable HALT_ON_ERROR mode
# echo 0x0 > /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/amdgpu_smu_debug

Previously there was a check based on chip # for chips that aligned to
>=CHIP_NAVI10 to have RLC stopped as part of DPMS check. This was because
of gfxclk being controlled by RLC in the newer designs.
As part of IP version checking though, this got changed to match IP
version for SMU. Because Renoir designs also include smu11 that meant
that even GFX9 started to stop RLC earlier.
Adjust to match GFX IP version instead of SMU IP version to restore the
previous behavior.

Allow us to query instances versions more cleanly.
Instancing support is not consistent unfortunately. SDMA is a
good example. Sienna cichlid has 4 total SDMA instances, each
enumerated separately (HWIDs 42, 43, 68, 69). Arcturus has 8
total SDMA instances, but they are enumerated as multiple
instances of the same HWIDs (4x HWID 42, 4x HWID 43). UMC
is another example. On most chips there are multiple
instances with the same HWID. This allows us to support both
forms.

Add manual sclk/vddc setting supoort via pp_od_clk_voltage sysfs
to maintain consistency with other asics. As cyan skillfish doesn't
support DPM, there is only a single frequency and voltage to adjust.
v2: maintain consistency and add command guide.
v3: adjust user settings storage and coding style.
Command guide:
echo vc point sclk vddc > pp_od_clk_voltage
"vc" - sclk voltage curve
"point" - must be 0
"sclk" - target value of sclk(MHz), should be in safe range
"vddc" - target value of vddc(mV), a 6.25(mV) stepping is
recommended and should be in safe range (the real
vddc is an approximation of target value)
echo c > pp_od_clk_voltage
"c" - commit the changes of sclk and vddc, only after
the commit command, the target values set by "vc"
command will take effect
echo r > pp_od_clk_voltage
"r" - reset sclk and vddc to default value, a subsequent
commit command is needed to take effect
Example:
1) Check default sclk and vddc
$ cat pp_od_clk_voltage
OD_SCLK:
0: 1800Mhz *
OD_VDDC:
0: 862mV *
OD_RANGE:
SCLK: 1000Mhz 2000Mhz
VDDC: 700mV 1129mV
2) Set sclk to 1500MHz and vddc to 700mV
$ echo vc 0 1500 700 > pp_od_clk_voltage
$ echo c > pp_od_clk_voltage
$ cat pp_od_clk_voltage
OD_SCLK:
0: 1500Mhz *
OD_VDDC:
0: 693mV *
OD_RANGE:
SCLK: 1000Mhz 2000Mhz
VDDC: 700mV 1129mV
3) Reset sclk and vddc to default
$ echo r > pp_od_clk_voltage
$ echo c > pp_od_clk_voltage
$ cat pp_od_clk_voltage
OD_SCLK:
0: 1800Mhz *
OD_VDDC:
0: 874mV *
OD_RANGE:
SCLK: 1000Mhz 2000Mhz
VDDC: 700mV 1129mV

In preparation for FORTIFY_SOURCE performing compile-time and run-time
field bounds checking for memcpy(), memmove(), and memset(), avoid
intentionally writing across neighboring fields.
The "Board Parameters" members of the structs:
struct atom_smc_dpm_info_v4_5
struct atom_smc_dpm_info_v4_6
struct atom_smc_dpm_info_v4_7
struct atom_smc_dpm_info_v4_10
are written to the corresponding members of the corresponding PPTable_t
variables, but they lack destination size bounds checking, which means
the compiler cannot verify at compile time that this is an intended and
safe memcpy().
Since the header files are effectively immutable[1] and a struct_group()
cannot be used, nor a common struct referenced by both sides of the
memcpy() arguments, add a new helper, amdgpu_memcpy_trailing(), to
perform the bounds checking at compile time. Replace the open-coded
memcpy()s with amdgpu_memcpy_trailing() which includes enough context
for the bounds checking.
"objdump -d" shows no object code changes.

This fixes a bug which if we probe a non-existing
I2C device, and the SMU returns 0xFF, from then on
we can never communicate with the SMU, because the
code before this patch reads and interprets 0xFF
as a terminal error, and thus we never write 0
into register 90 to clear the status (and
subsequently send a new command to the SMU.)
It is not an error that the SMU returns status
0xFF. This means that the SMU executed the last
command successfully (execution status), but the
command result is an error of some sort (execution
result), depending on what the command was.
When doing a status check of the SMU, before we
send a new command, the only status which
precludes us from sending a new command is 0--the
SMU hasn't finished executing a previous command,
and 0xFC--the SMU is busy.
This bug was seen as the following line in the
kernel log,
amdgpu: Msg issuing pre-check failed(0xff) and SMU may be not in the right state!
when subsequent SMU commands, not necessarily
related to I2C, were sent to the SMU.

v3: The changes are,
a) Add comments to break labels in
__smu_cmn_reg2errno().
b) When an unknown/unspecified/undefined result is
returned back from the SMU, map that to
-EREMOTEIO, to distinguish failure at the SMU
FW.
c) Add kernel-doc to
smu_cmn_send_msg_without_waiting(),
smu_cmn_wait_for_response(),
smu_cmn_send_smc_msg_with_param().
d) In smu_cmn_send_smc_msg_with_param(), since we
wait for completion of the command, if the
result of the completion is
undefined/unknown/unspecified, we print that to
the kernel log.

In order for a START/STOP transaction to take
place on the bus, the data written/read has to be
at least one byte.
That is, you cannot generate a write with 0 bytes,
just to get the ACK from a device, just so you can
probe that device if it is on the bus and so to
discover all devices on the bus--you'll have to
read at least one byte. Writes of 0 bytes generate
no START/STOP on this I2C IP--the bus is not
engaged at all.

Now that we have an I2C quirk table for
SMU-managed I2C controllers, the I2C core does the
checks for us, so we don't need to do them, and so
simplify the managed I2C transfer functions.
Also, for Arcturus and Navi10, fix setting the
command type from "cmd->CmdConfig" to "cmd->Cmd".
The latter is what appears to be taking in
the enumeration I2C_CMD_... as an integer,
not a bit-flag.
For Sienna, the "Cmd" field seems to have been
eliminated, and command type and flags all live in
the "CmdConfig" field--this is left untouched.
Fix: Detect and add changing of direction
bit-flag, as this is necessary for the SMU to
detect the direction change in the 1-d array of
data it gets.

The documentation around PrepareMp1ForUnload message says that
anything sent to SMU after this command would be stalled as the
PMFW would not be in a state to take further job requests.
Technically this is right in case of S3 scenario. But, this might
not be the case during s0ix as the PMC driver would be the last
to send the SMU on the OS_HINT. If SMU gets a PrepareMp1ForUnload
message before the OS_HINT, this would stall the entire S0ix process.
Results show that, this message to SMU is not required during S0ix
and hence skip it.
