7fd0a9316a dt-bindings: soc: qcom: smd-rpm: add qcom,glink-channels
The Qualcomm Resource Power Manager (RPM) over SMD bindings contain
compatibles and description for RPM devices on two different
communication channels: SMD and GLINK. Except the difference in the
parent node, they use different properties for describing name of
channel qcom,smd-channels or qcom,glink-channels. The first one is
already present but second is missing:

  qcom/sm6125-sony-xperia-seine-pdx201.dtb: rpm-requests: 'qcom,glink-channels' does not match any of the regexes: '^regulators(-[01])?$', 'pinctrl-[0-9]+'

ff6862c23d ARM: driver updates for 6.1
The drivers branch for 6.1 is a bit larger than for most releases. Most
of the changes come from SoC maintainers for the drivers/soc subsystem:

  - A new driver for error handling on the NVIDIA Tegra
    'control backbone' bus.

  - A new driver for Qualcomm LLCC/DDR bandwidth measurement

  - New Rockchip rv1126 and rk3588 power domain drivers

  - DT binding updates for memory controllers, older Rockchip
SoCs, various Mediatek devices, Qualcomm SCM firmware

  - Minor updates to Hisilicon LPC bus, the Allwinner SRAM
driver, the Apple rtkit firmware driver, Tegra firmware

  - Minor updates for SoC drivers (Samsung, Mediatek, Renesas,
    Tegra, Qualcomm, Broadcom, NXP, ...)

There are also some separate subsystem with downstream maintainers that
 merge updates this way:

  - Various updates and new drivers in the memory controller
subsystem for Mediatek and Broadcom SoCs

  - Small set of changes in preparation to add support for FF-A
v1.1 specification later, in the Arm FF-A firmware subsystem

ASoC: dt-bindings: qcom,q6adm: convert to dtschema
Convert Qualcomm Audio Device Manager (Q6ADM) bindings to DT schema.

The original bindings documented:
1. APR service node with compatibles: "qcom,q6adm" and
"qcom,q6adm-v<MAJOR-NUMBER>.<MINOR-NUMBER>",
2. Routing child node with compatible "qcom,q6adm-routing".

The conversion entirely drops (1) because the compatible is already
documented in bindings/soc/qcom/qcom,apr.yaml. The
"qcom,q6adm-v<MAJOR-NUMBER>.<MINOR-NUMBER>" on the other hand is not
used at all - neither in existing DTS, nor in downstream sources - so
versions seems to be fully auto-detectable.

547bed8140 dt-bindings: remoteproc: qcom,smd-edge: define children
SMD edge contains subnodes representing devices related to the remote
processor. With limietd number of remote processors, there is a limited
set of such devices.

List all of them in smd-edge bindings so schema can strictly check for
subnodes.

Additional benefit is requirement of "qcom,smd-channels" for such
subnodes, because their schema cannot enforce it (few devices like APR
or FastRPC can be part of either SMD or GLINK edge).

5d5d353bed remoteproc updates for v5.20
This introduces support for the remoteproc on Mediatek MT8188, and
enables caches for MT8186 SCP. It adds support for PRU cores found on
 the TI K3 AM62x SoCs.

It moves the recovery work after a firmware crash to an unbound
workqueue, to allow recovery to happen in parallel.

A new DMA API is introduced to release dma_mem for a device.

It adds support a panic handler for the Qualcomm modem remoteproc, with
the goal of having caches flushed in memory dumps for post-mortem
debugging and it introduces a mechanism to wait for the modem firmware
on SM8450 to decrypt part of its memory for post-mortem debugging.

Qualcomm sysmon is restricted to only inform remote processors about
peers that are actually running, to avoid a race where Linux tries to
notify a recovering remote processor about its peers new state. A
mechanism for waiting for the sysmon connection to be established is also
introduced, to avoid out-of-sync updates for rapidly restarting remote
 processors.

A number of Devicetree binding cleanups and conversions to YAML are
introduced, to facilitate Devicetree validation. Lastly it introduces a

Merge tag 'rproc-v5.20' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/remoteproc/linux

Pull remoteproc updates from Bjorn Andersson:
"This introduces support for the remoteproc on Mediatek MT8188, and
enables caches for MT8186 SCP. It adds support for PRU cores found on
  the TI K3 AM62x SoCs.

It moves the recovery work after a firmware crash to an unbound
workqueue, to allow recovery to happen in parallel.

A new DMA API is introduced to release dma_mem for a device.

It adds support a panic handler for the Qualcomm modem remoteproc,
with the goal of having caches flushed in memory dumps for post-mortem
debugging and it introduces a mechanism to wait for the modem firmware
on SM8450 to decrypt part of its memory for post-mortem debugging.

Qualcomm sysmon is restricted to only inform remote processors about
peers that are actually running, to avoid a race where Linux tries to
notify a recovering remote processor about its peers new state. A
mechanism for waiting for the sysmon connection to be established is
also introduced, to avoid out-of-sync updates for rapidly restarting
  remote processors.

A number of Devicetree binding cleanups and conversions to YAML are
introduced, to facilitate Devicetree validation. Lastly it introduces
a number of smaller fixes and cleanups in the core and a few different
  drivers"

cc3c470ae4 ARM: driver changes for 5.19
There are minor updates to SoC specific drivers for chips by Rockchip,
Samsung, NVIDIA, TI, NXP, i.MX, Qualcomm, and Broadcom. Noteworthy
 driver changes include:

 - Several conversions of DT bindings to yaml format.

 - Renesas adds driver support for R-Car V4H, RZ/V2M and RZ/G2UL SoCs.

 - Qualcomm adds a bus driver for the SSC (Snapdragon Sensor Core),
and support for more chips in the RPMh power domains and the soc-id.

 - NXP has a new driver for the HDMI blk-ctrl on i.MX8MP.

 - Apple M1 gains support for the on-chip NVMe controller, making it
possible to finally use the internal disks. This also includes SoC
drivers for their RTKit IPC and for the SART DMA address filter.

For other subsystems that merge their drivers through the SoC tree,
 we have

 - Firmware drivers for the ARM firmware stack including TEE, OP-TEE,
SCMI and FF-A get a number of smaller updates and cleanups. OP-TEE
now has a cache for firmware argument structures as an optimization,
and SCMI now supports the 3.1 version of the specification.

 - Reset controller updates to Amlogic, ASpeed, Renesas and ACPI drivers

 - Memory controller updates for Tegra, and a few updates for other
   platforms.

In the olden days the Qualcomm shared memory (SMEM) region consisted of
multiple chunks of memory, so SMEM was described as a standalone node
with references to its various memory regions.

But practically all modern Qualcomm platforms has a single reserved memory
region used for SMEM. So rather than having to use two nodes to describe
the one SMEM region, update the binding to allow the reserved-memory
region alone to describe SMEM.

The olden format is preserved as valid, as this is widely used already.

974c6faf76 soc: dt-bindings: qcom: add gpr bindings
Qualcomm Generic Packet router aka GPR is the IPC mechanism found
in AudioReach next generation signal processing framework to perform
command and response messages between various processors.

GPR has concepts of static and dynamic port, all static services like
APM (Audio Processing Manager), PRM (Proxy resource manager) have
fixed port numbers where as dynamic services like graphs have dynamic
port numbers which are allocated at runtime. All GPR packet messages
will have source and destination domain and port along with opcode
and payload.

This support is added using existing APR driver to reuse most of
the code.

The power-domains exposed by AOSS QMP node are used to notify the Always

co-processors enter low-power modes independent to that of the application

972d6a7dce dt-bindings: Drop redundant minItems/maxItems
If a property has an 'items' list, then a 'minItems' or 'maxItems' with the
same size as the list is redundant and can be dropped. Note that is DT
schema specific behavior and not standard json-schema behavior. The tooling
will fixup the final schema adding any unspecified minItems/maxItems.

This condition is partially checked with the meta-schema already, but
only if both 'minItems' and 'maxItems' are equal to the 'items' length.
An improved meta-schema is pending.

f516fb704d dt-bindings: Whitespace clean-ups in schema files
Clean-up incorrect indentation, extra spaces, long lines, and missing
EOF newline in schema files. Most of the clean-ups are for list
indentation which should always be 2 spaces more than the preceding
keyword.

Found with yamllint (which I plan to integrate into the checks).

086e9074f5 dt-bindings: Remove more cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'
Another round of 'allOf' removals that came in this cycle.

json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that
any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct
form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed
in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other
keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the
tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works.

This has been a constant source of review comments, so let's change this
treewide so everyone copies the simpler syntax.

5bfabc0aab dt-bindings: soc: qcom: Fix default clock-freq for qcom,geni-i2c
In an early version of the I2C patch that was posted to the list the
default I2C frequency (if none was specified) was 400 kHz. There was
debate on the list and we decided that it would be more consistent
with the rest of i2c if we defaulted to 100 kHz. ...but we never
updated the bindings. Let's fix this.

NOTE: since the i2c driver itself hasn't actually landed yet and the
SoC here is very new it seems terribly unlikely that anyone was
relying on the old 400 kHz number, so I'll assume this is an OK
"incompatible" device tree change.

721afaa2ae ARM: Device-tree updates
As always, a large number of DT updates. Too many to enumerate them all,
 but at a glance:

New SoCs introduced in this release:

  - Amlogic:
    + Meson 8M2 SoC, a.k.a. S812. A quad Cortex-A9 SoC used in some set
      top boxes and other products.

  - Mediatek:
+ MT7623A, which is a flavor of the MT7623 family with other on-chip
      ethernet options.

  - Qualcomm:
    + SDM845, a.k.a Snapdragon 845, an 4+4-core Kryo 385/845
(Cortex-A75/A55 derivative) SoC that's one of the current high-end
      mobile SoCs.

It's great to see mainline support for it. So far, you
can't do much with it, since a lot of peripherals are not yet in the
DTs but driver support for USB, GPU and other pieces are starting to
trickle in. This might end up being a well-supported SoC upstream if
      the momentum keeps up.

  - Renesas:
    + R8A77990, a.k.a R-Car E3, a new automotive entertainment-targeted
SoC. Currently only one Cortex-A53 CPU is enabled, we are eagerly
awaiting more. So far, basic drivers such as serial, gpios, PMU and
      ethernet are enabled.
    + R8A77470, a.k.a. RZ/G1C, a new dual Cortex-A7 SoC with PowerVR
GPU. Same here, basic set of drivers such as serial, gpios and ethernet
enabled, and SMP support is also forthcoming.

  - STMicroelectronics:
+ STM32F469, very similar tih STM32F429 but with display support

Enhancements to SoCs/platforms (DTS contents, some driver portions might
 not be in yet):
