57b4ca4235 dt-bindings: serial: snps-dw-apb-uart: Allow use of a power-domain
The UART controllers in most Rockchip SoCs are part of power domains
that are always powered on. These always powered on power domains have
typically not been described in the device tree.

Because these power domains have been left out of the device tree there
has not been any real need to properly describe the UART controllers
power domain of Rockchip SoCs.

On Rockchip RK3528 the UART controllers are spread out among the
described PD_RKVENC, PD_VO and PD_VPU power domains. However, one UART
controller belong to an undescribed always powered on power domain.

Add support to describe an optional power-domains for the UART
controllers.

378ec25aec TTY/Serial changes for 6.16-rc1
Here is the big set of tty and serial driver changes for 6.16-rc1.
 A little more churn than normal in this portion of the kernel for this
 development cycle, Jiri and Nicholas were busy with cleanups and reviews
 and fixes for the vt unicode handling logic which composed most of the
 overall work in here.

 Major changes are:
   - vt unicode changes/reverts/changes from Nicholas. This should help
     out a lot with screen readers and others that rely on vt console
     support
   - lock guard additions to the core tty/serial code to clean up lots of
     error handling logic
   - 8250 driver updates and fixes
   - device tree conversions to yaml
   - sh-sci driver updates
   - other small cleanups and updates for serial drivers and tty core
     portions

 All of these have been in linux-next for 2 weeks with no reported issues

ec956e2c6f dt-bindings: serial: snps-dw-apb-uart: Switch dma-names order
Commit 370f696e44 ("dt-bindings: serial: snps-dw-apb-uart: add dma &
dma-names properties") documented dma-names property to handle Allwinner
D1 dtbs_check warnings, but relies on the rx->tx ordering, which is the
reverse of what a different board expects:

  rk3326-odroid-go2.dtb: serial@ff030000: dma-names:0: 'rx' was expected

A quick and incomplete check shows the inconsistency is present in many
other DTS files:

$ git grep -A10 snps,dw-apb-uart | grep dma-names | sort -u
arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/px30.dtsi-         dma-names = "tx", "rx";
arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/rk3328.dtsi-       dma-names = "tx", "rx";
arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/rk3588s.dtsi-      dma-names = "tx", "rx";
arch/arm/boot/dts/rk3066a.dtsi-                 dma-names = "tx", "rx";

arch/arm/boot/dts/rk3288.dtsi-                  dma-names = "tx", "rx";
arch/arm/boot/dts/rv1126.dtsi-                  dma-names = "tx", "rx";
arch/arm/boot/dts/socfpga.dtsi-                 dma-names = "tx", "rx";
arch/arm/boot/dts/sun6i-a31.dtsi-               dma-names = "rx", "tx";

arch/arm/boot/dts/sunxi-h3-h5.dtsi-             dma-names = "rx", "tx";
arch/riscv/boot/dts/allwinner/sunxi-d1s-t113.dtsi-  dma-names = "rx", "tx";

The initial proposed solution was to allow a flexible dma-names order in
the binding, due to potential ABI breakage concerns after fixing the DTS
files. But luckily the Allwinner boards are not really affected, since
all of them are using a shared DMA channel for rx and tx:

$ git grep -A10 snps,dw-apb-uart | grep 'sun.*dmas' | sort -u
arch/arm/boot/dts/sun6i-a31.dtsi-       dmas = <&dma 10>, <&dma 10>;

6fdc6e23a7 dt-bindings: Add missing 'unevaluatedProperties'
This doesn't yet do anything in the tools, but make it explicit so we can
check either 'unevaluatedProperties' or 'additionalProperties' is present
in schemas.

'unevaluatedProperties' is appropriate when including another schema (via
'$ref') and all possible properties and/or child nodes are not
explicitly listed in the schema with the '$ref'.

This is in preparation to add a meta-schema to check for missing
'unevaluatedProperties' or 'additionalProperties'. This has been a
constant source of review issues.

ae9fdd23e6 dt-bindings: serial: snps-dw-apb-uart: add compatible property for rk3308 uart
A test with the command below gives these errors:

arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/rk3308-evb.dt.yaml: serial@ff0d0000: compatible:
['rockchip,rk3308-uart', 'snps,dw-apb-uart']
is not valid under any of the given schemas
arch/arm64/boot/dts/rockchip/rk3308-roc-cc.dt.yaml: serial@ff0a0000: compatible:
['rockchip,rk3308-uart', 'snps,dw-apb-uart']
is not valid under any of the given schemas

The compatible property for the Rockchip rk3308 uart was somehow never
added to the documention. Fix this error by adding 'rockchip,rk3308-uart'
to snps-dw-apb-uart.yaml.

896efccfcc dt-bindings: serial: Move renesas,rzn1-uart into the snps-dw-apb-uart binding
The renesas,rzn1-uart binding only differs in compatible string from the
snps-dw-apb-uart binding. Move it there, converting it to json-schema in
the process.

Convert the snps,dw-apb-uart binding to DT schema using json-schema.

The Rockchip and Broadcom compatible strings were not documented,
so add them here.
