88fb51ea6a dt-bindings: input: touchscreen: st1232: add touch-overlay example
The touch-overlay feature adds support for segments (touch areas) on the
touchscreen surface that represent overlays with clipped touchscreen
areas and printed buttons.

Add nodes for a clipped touchscreen and overlay buttons to the existing
example.

19875ccec0 dt-bindings: touchscreen: add touch-overlay property
The touch-overlay encompasses a number of touch areas that define a
clipped touchscreen area and/or buttons with a specific functionality.

A clipped touchscreen area avoids getting events from regions that are
physically hidden by overlay frames.

For touchscreens with printed overlay buttons, sub-nodes with a suitable
key code can be defined to report key events instead of the original
touch events.

5d511d93c0 dt-bindings: input: touchscreen: edt-ft5x06: use unevaluatedProperties
In Xiaomi Poco F1 (qcom/sdm845-xiaomi-beryllium-ebbg.dts), the FocalTech
FT8719 touchscreen is integrally connected to the display panel
(EBBG FT8719) and thus should be power sequenced together with display
panel using the panel property. Since the edt-ft5x06 touchscreen binding
uses almost all the properties present in touchscreen.yaml, let's remove
additionalProperties: false and use unevaluatedProperties to include all
the properties, including the needed panel property.

d259f13746 dt-bindings: input: touchscreen: goodix: clarify irq-gpios misleading text
The irq-gpios description misleading, apparently saying that driving the
IRQ GPIO resets the device, which is even more puzzling as there is a reset
GPIO as well.

In reality the IRQ pin can be driven during the reset sequence to configure
the client address, as it becomes clear after checking both the datasheet
and the driver code. Improve the text to clarify that.

Also rephrase to remove reference to the driver, which is not appropriate
in the bindings.

The Samsung touchscreen controllers are often used with external pull-up
for the interrupt line and the I2C lines, so we might need to enable

cause spurious interrupts and reading from I2C will fail.

Merge tag 'devicetree-for-6.6' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/robh/linux

Pull devicetree updates from Rob Herring:
 "DT core:

   - Add support for generating DT nodes for PCI devices. This is the
groundwork for applying overlays to PCI devices containing
     non-discoverable downstream devices.

   - DT unittest additions to check reverted changesets, to test for
refcount issues, and to test unresolved symbols. Also, various
clean-ups of the unittest along the way.

   - Refactor node and property manipulation functions to better share
code with old API and changeset API

   - Refactor changeset print functions to a common implementation

   - Move some platform_device specific functions into of_platform.c

  Bindings:

   - Treewide fixing of typos

   - Treewide clean-up of SPDX tags to use 'OR' consistently

   - Last chunk of dropping unnecessary quotes. With that, the check for
unnecessary quotes is enabled in yamllint.

   - Convert ftgmac100, zynqmp-genpd, pps-gpio, syna,rmi4, and qcom,ssbi
     bindings to DT schema format

   - Add Allwinner V3s xHCI USB, Saef SF-TC154B display, QCom SM8450
Inline Crypto Engine, QCom SM6115 UFS, QCom SDM670 PDC interrupt
controller, Arm 2022 Cortex cores, and QCom IPQ9574 Crypto bindings

   - Fixes for Rockchip DWC PCI binding

   - Ensure all properties are evaluated on USB connector schema

   - Fix dt-check-compatible script to find of_device_id instances with
     compiler annotations"

e10038ce1b dt-bindings: mfd: Convert STMPE to YAML schema
This converts the STMPE MFD device tree bindings to the YAML
schema.

Reference the existing schema for the ADC, just define the
other subnode schemas directly in the MFD schema.

Add two examples so we have examples covering both the simple
GPIO expander and the more complex with ADC and touchscreen.

Some in-tree users do not follow the naming conventions for nodes
so these DTS files need to be augmented to use proper node names
like "adc", "pwm", "gpio", "keyboard-controller" etc before the
bindings take effect on them.
