836942fbad StandaloneMmPkg/MemLib: remove unnecessary check
Remove unnecessary check in API MmIsBufferOutsideMmValid of
StandaloneMmMemLib.

The API is used to check if a input buffer is outside MMRAM and
inside a valid non-MMRAM range. Previously, the API only checks
if the input buffer is
 overlapped with MMRAM range. In the last
commit, we add logic to check if the input buffer is inside valid
non-MMRAM 
ranges reported by the resource HOB. Since the resource
HOB only covers valid non-MMRAM ranges, we doesn't need to check
if the input buffer is inside the MMRAM anymore.

da8fd23dbb StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Check Resource HOB and Mmram ranges
Check if the all the resource HOB in the input HOB list of
MmCore entry only covers non-Mmram ranges. The Resource HOB
is to describe the accessible non-Mmram range. All Resource
HOB should not overlap with any Mmram range.

d24bb10b1d StandaloneMmPkg/MemLib: Check if the non-MMRAM buffer is valid
Check if the non-MMRAM buffer is inside valid non-mmram
range in API MmIsBufferOutsideMmValid of StandaloneMmMemLib.

Previously, the API only checks if the input buffer is
overlapped with MMRAM range. Currently, in the new standalone
MM infrastructure, we limit the non-MMRAM access to the ranges
reported by the resource HOB. To meet the new design, in this
API, we cache all the memory ranges reported by the resource
HOB and check if the input buffer is inside valid non-MMRAM
ranges reported by the resource HOB.

b19f1311d6 StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Remove unneeded check
Remove unneeded check MmIsBufferOutsideMmValid() when
StandaloneMmCore checks if the BS data memory described
by a memory allocation HOB needs to be migrated to Mmram.

Currently, the API MmIsBufferOutsideMmValid() return TRUE
when input memory range belongs to non-Mmram memory. Now
the API will be changed in following 5 commits to return
TRUE when a memory range belongs to non-Mmram memroy and
the memory is inside a range described by resource HOB.
This may cause PF when some SMI handler access the memory
from a memory allocation HOB that is not migrated.

To solve this issue, we can directly remove the check
MmIsBufferOutsideMmValid() and always migrate the BS data
memory described by a memory allocation HOB to Mmram.

aac5b3eca3 StandaloneMmPkg/MmIpl: Max physical address bits if disable 5 page level
4-level paging supports translating 48-bit linear addresses to 52-bit
physical addresses. Since linear addresses are sign-extended,
the linear-address space of 4-level paging is: [0, 2^47-1] and
[0xffff8000_00000000, 0xffffffff_ffffffff]. So only [0, 2^47-1]
linear-address range maps to the identical physical-address range
when 5-Level paging is disabled.

56dfab9a8a StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Shadow Standalone BFV into MMRAM
BFV is outside the MMRAM. Currently, StandaloneMmIplPei uses the API
MmUnblockMemoryRequest() to unblock the access for the BFV. However,
the BFV's memory might be gone after ExitBootService event. If any
access to the memory, unexpected error would happen.
To fix the above issue, StandaloneMmCore should shadow standalone BFV
into MMRAM before processing it, then free the shadowed BFV after MM
driver dispatch is done.

8d74a37944 StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Reset IsCommBufferValid to FALSE before MMI exits
In current implementation of MmCommunication, caller (StandaloneMmIplPei
or MmCommunicationDxe) sets the IsCommBufferValid to TRUE and triggers
synchronous MMI, then caller resets IsCommBufferValid to FLASE after MMI
exits.
If asynchronous MMI happens before caller resets the IsCommBufferValid
to FALSE, StandaloneMmCore will mistakenly thought there is still a
synchronous MMI and then update incorrect values into ReturnStatus and
ReturnBufferSize.
To fix the above issue, StandaloneMmCore should reset IsCommBufferValid
to FALSE before MMI exits.

8f74b95a21 MdePkg: Move CompilerIntrinsicsLib from ArmPkg
As per the emailed RFC in
https://edk2.groups.io/g/devel/topic/rfc_move/107675828,
this patch moves CompilerIntrinsicsLib from ArmPkg to
MdePkg as this library provides compiler intrinsics, which
are industry standard.

This aligns with the goal of integrating ArmPkg into existing
packages: https://bugzilla.tianocore.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4121.

The newly placed CompilerIntrinsicsLib is added to MdeLibs.dsc.inc
as every DSC that builds ARM/AARCH64 needs this library added. The
old location is removed from every DSC in edk2 in this commit also
to not break bisectability with minimal hoop jumping.

6e727ed9dd StandaloneMmPkg/StandaloneMmPkg.ci.yaml: Add PrEval CI config
Adds an entry to the package's CI configuration file that enable policy
5 for stuart_pr_eval. With this Policy, all INFs used by the package are
extracted from the provided DSC file and compared against the list of
changed *.inf (INF) files in the PR. If there is a match, stuart_pr_eval
will specify that this package is affected by the PR and needs to be
tested.

cfaccc89a2 StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Migrate Memory Allocation Hob into MMRAM
If a Memory Allocation Hob with EfiBootServicesData memory type is
reported into MM Hob List and it also has a non-zero GUID name, then the
HOB is used by MM driver and needs to migrate the memory into MMRAM.

6b69f564a9 StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Add MemoryAttributes support
The MM memory attribute table is ported from SMM Core.

The new file StandaloneMmPkg/Core/MemoryAttributesTable.c, the new code
in StandaloneMmPkg/Core/Page.c and StandaloneMmPkg/Core/Pool.c are
almost identical to MdeModulePkg/Core/PiSmmCore/MemoryAttributesTable.c,
MdeModulePkg/Core/PiSmmCore/Page.c and
MdeModulePkg/Core/PiSmmCore/Pool.c, but changing the word 'SMM' to 'MM'.

Different from SMM Core, Standalone MM Core produces MM MemoryAttributes
table at the end of MmDriverDispatchHandler() when all the drivers are
dispatched, rather than at the MmEndOfDxe event.

Then the MM CPU driver will consumes the table to set memory attribute
in page table.

487fa274c4 StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Restart dispatcher once MmEntryPoint is registered
Defer the dispatch of the remaining MM drivers once the CPU driver has
been dispatched.

In MmDispatcher, return immediately if the MM Entry Point was registered.
Then the MM IPL will reinvoke the MM Core Dispatcher. This is required
so MM Mode may be enabled as soon as all the dependent MM Drivers for MM
Mode have been dispatched.

Introduce a FeatureFlag PCD to control if MmDispatcher returns or not
when MmEntryPointPoint is registered. Default value is FALSE.

24e41d1fa3 StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Introduce MM Communication Buffer
Get the MM Communication context from the MM Communication Buffer,
instead of the pointer inside gMmCorePrivate.
In the MmEntryPoint, check IsCommBufferValid from MM_COMM_BUFFER to
decide whether the MMI is Synchronous MMI or Asynchronous MMI. If it
is a Synchronous MMI, MM Core shadows the communication buffer into
a internal copy, then invokes the MMI handlers, lastly copies data
back to the MM Communication Buffer and set the return status.

3ada6c0db6 StandaloneMmPkg: Add LockBox Dependency Library
The LockBox Dependency Library is designed for standalone MM
environments where gBS are not accessible to indicates that LockBox API
is readyfor use.

For DXE drivers use lockbox APIs via a communication mechanism
triggering an SMI, it's must to have the corresponding SMI handler
pre-installed for interrupt management. To ensure orderly operations
and proper notification, besides specified the guid in
the [Depex] section of the .inf file. The installation of smi handler,
along with the LockBox protocol marked by gEfiLockBoxProtocolGuid,
must be informed to the DXE driver. This protocol installation signifies
that the LockBox API is ready for use, and this functionality is
implemented in the constructor of this library.

70892b13b2 StandaloneMmPkg: Support to unregister MMI handler in MMI handlers
This patch fix a use-after-free issue where unregistering an
MMI handler could lead to the deletion of the MMI_HANDLER while it is
still in use by MmiManage(). The fix involves modifying
MmiHandlerUnRegister() to detect whether it is being called from
within the MmiManage() stack. If so, the removal of the MMI_HANDLER
is deferred until MmiManage() has finished executing.
Additionally, due to the possibility of recursive MmiManage() calls,
the unregistration and subsequent removal of the MMI_HANDLER are
ensured to occur only after the outermost MmiManage() invocation has
completed.

The CreateHob() function aligns the requested size to 8

No checks are performed to ensure this value doesn't
overflow, and could lead to CreateHob() returning a smaller
HOB than requested, which could lead to OOB HOB accesses.

2ddae5df31 StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Remove optimization for depex evaluation
The current dependency evaluator violates the memory access permission
when patching depex grammar directly in the read-only depex memory area.

Laszlo pointed out the optimization issue in the thread (1) "Memory
Attribute for depex section" and provided suggested patch to remove the
perf optimization.

In my testing, removing the optimization does not make significant perf

in MM protocol database and does not depend on UEFI/DXE protocol
database. Also, we don't have many protocols in StandaloneMM like

3c66390e4a StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Fix the failure to find uncompressed inner FV
The MmCoreFfsFindMmDriver only checks for encapsulated compressed FVs.
When an inner FV is uncompressed, StandaloneMmCore will miss the FV and
all the MM drivers in the FV will not be dispatched.
Add checks for uncompressed inner FV to fix this issue.

4a9fcab124 StandaloneMmPkg/Core: Fix issue that offset calculation might be wrong
MmCoreFfsFindMmDriver() assumes FileHeader is EFI_FFS_FILE_HEADER.
If FileHeader is an EFI_FFS_FILE_HEADER2, 'FileHeader + 1' will get a
wrong section address. Use FfsFindSection to get the section directly,
instead of 'FileHeader + 1' to avoid this issue.
MmCoreFfsFindMmDriver() also assumes section is EFI_COMMON_SECTION_HEADER.
If Section is EFI_COMMON_SECTION_HEADER2, 'Section + 1' will get a wrong
wrong InnerFvHeader adress. Add section head detection and calculate the
address accordingly.

In MmCoreFfsFindMmDriver(),
- ScratchBuffer is not freed in the error return path that DstBuffer page
allocation fails. Free ScratchBuffer before return with error.
- If the decoded buffer is identical to the data in InputSection,
ExtractGuidedSectionDecode() will change the value of DstBuffer rather
than changing the contents of the buffer that DstBuffer points at, in
which case freeing DstBuffer is wrong. Introduce a local variable
AllocatedDstBuffer for buffer free, free AllocatedDstBuffer immediately
if it is not used.

There are two scene communicate with StandaloneMm(MM):
1 edk2 -> TF-A -> MM, communicate MM use non-secure buffer which
  specify by EFI_SECURE_PARTITION_BOOT_INFO.SpNsCommBufBase;
2 RAS scene: fiq -> TF-A -> MM, use secure buffer which
  specify by EFI_SECURE_PARTITION_BOOT_INFO.SpShareBufBase;

For now, the second scene will failed because check buffer address.
This patch add CheckBufferAddr() to support check address for secure
buffer.

In TF-A, the name of this field is sp_shared_buf_size. This field is

SpPcpuSharedBufSize is pass from TF-A while StandaloneMM initialize.
So, SpPcpuSharedBufSize should be rename to SpSharedBufSize and this field
should no multiply by PayloadBootInfo->NumCpus;

2108698346 StandaloneMmPkg: Support CLANGPDB builds
Currently, the flag "-fpie" is passed for all builds with a GCC
family toolchain, including CLANGPDB. CLANGPDB however does not
support this flag as it generates PE/COFF files directly.

As the flag is mostly required for ARM-specific self-relocation, drop
it for other architectures and document the limitation to enable e.g.
X64 CLANGPDB builds of StandaloneMmCore.

This change adds support of x64 version of StandaloneMmCoreHobLib. It
brings in global variable "gHobList" through StandaloneMmCoreEntryPoint,
imports implementation from DxeCoreHobLib.inf to support x64 Mm Core and
moved shared functional plementations into a common file.
